RomanceRe: How Should I Convince My Mum That I Can't Go Back To That Beast Of A Husband by annford: 6:46pm On Jun 13, 2020
Demzlent:
Please advise her!

My marriage is just two years old. I work as an accountant in a secondary school. Two months after we got married, my husband collected my ATM card. My salary is N52,000. Whenever my salary comes my husband withdraws the whole salary, takes 30,000 and give me 22,000. He will still insist I use the money to buy things for the house and also for transportation to work. After three months, I asked him what he does with the money he will tell me he adds it to his business (Tailoring materials). I complained to my mum and she told me not to worry because he is my husband. Some months later, I told him I needed to change my wardrobe and get some new shoes for work that I would need all the money for that month. He called me a stupid woman that I should manage the ones I have. When I refused he beat me with his belt.
I told my employer everything, then she told me to open another account that my salary will be divided into two, 32,000 in my old account and 20,000 in my new account. She said I should tell my husband that the school is downsizing and they are retaining me with the condition that my salary will be reduced by 20,000.
When I told him, he didnt even bother. When my next salary came, he collected 25,000, and gave me 7,000. I was mad and asked him how he expects me to go to work? Then I also questioned what his own money is used for. He beat me badly and kicked my stomach. I miscarried the baby I was carrying.
After I was discharged, he told me that if I ever question his authority again that he will disfigure me. This is someone I dated for 1 years 7 months with no form of violence. Though our church does not support visiting our intended husband alone so I didnt have the opportunity to study him the way I should.
My mother had an accident and I wanted sending her money, I asked my husband that I will need 15,000 when my salary is paid. He told me that I wont give my mother anything because his mother needs a deep freezer for her fish business. I just didnt say anything. I sent some of the money I have been saving in the other account to my mother.
A week later, his mum had an accident in a keke when she went to buy fish. He told me to take loan from my office so he can add to the one he has to treat his mum. I told him to use the one he has been saving from my salary and I won't do what he asked me. And he should remember what he told me when my mum had an accident.
Then two months into the lockdown he returned my ATM card because my salary was no longer coming. I told him to hold it that I won't collect it again. He went in to bring his belt to beat me, I used the curtains pipe on the floor of the sitting room and hit his neck.

He told everyone that I want to kill him. His people told me to apologize, I said over my dead body. On the open day of the lockdown, I got a car and packed my belongings and left him.
I told the woman I worked as a nanny in the house after my secondary school about everything. She sent me 450,000 to get an apartment. Which i have done and moved in.
My pastor said we should resolve the matter. For the first time in my life, I insulted my pastor and told him it shall not be well with him.
I have apologized to my pastor, but I won't go back to that devil of a husband.
Now my mum says if I dont go back to my husband that it will break her heart and she may die because my mum is diabetic and hypertensive, my father is late.
How should I convince my mum to understand that I can't go back to that beast

Source: Facebook page of Hope foundation Group Inc.
I don't have much to say to you other than it was bad marriage that killed my mum.

APC is a divided house. If APC continues in this free fall, PDP will give them a surprise that might take them another 16 years or more to recover from. The Power tussle and greed that have eaten deep into the hearts of politicians will definitely bring about their downfall.

The Spirit of the antichrist is in a Haste to Strike !

He has taken hold of so many people all over the world and possessed them with all sorts of spirits..

He is well aware that there is no more time....

Unfortunately many seem not to be aware! Just like the days of Noah and Lot. Many are so involved with non-essentials and things that have no effect to their Eternity.

One day it would be like a movie, Many will still be involved in frivolities and non-essentials, only to begin to Hear that Millions have Suddenly Disappeared all over the World!

What a Glorious day it's Gonna be..

I can't wait to be with My FATHER in Heaven! What About You?

Me too! Oh how Glorious that day shall be.

Is there any organization in nigeria that can help these sisters engaging in prostitution and rehabilitate them? especially in abuja?

I want to get them the help they need from the addiction. They are still young and promising but it seems their family have not done enough to bring them out.
Please i need constructive ideas. Please don't justify their prostitution, your sister is not doing it.

Thanks
I live in Abuja and I could be of great help. How do we go about it?

I agree with you wholeheartedly. In fact, Nigeria didn't even need to strive to attain greatness, because of easy oil money.

Nevertheless, Nigerians don't stand up for their right, and they are the ones who keep voting the crooked politicians back into power.
I can't really blame the politicians. I can use an abused wife as an analogy. If a battered wife continues to stay with her abusive husband, can you really blame the man?

If a politician knows you're not going complain about all his empty promises, he would keep on making empty promises. This is not only in Nigeria BTW. It is true everywhere in the world where democracy is practiced.

If just one million Nigerians descended on Aso Rock, and streamed it live on youtube, the politicians would get the message.
You made a whole lot of valid point. Every Nation gets the Leaders it deserves.

OritaIbadan:
I employed this 21years old lady last year as a sales rep. At resumption to work she appeard so decent and godly always With her Bible and Sunday school manual. I was really impressed by her spiritual and respectful nature. This made me treat her different from others. I buy her things and sometimes gives her money and always discuss her good life style with my wife. But what amazed me was that my wife was so indifferent about her each time I discuss her my wife will quickly change the topic. I thought, well woman with their naughty behavior towards other women.
Fast forward to June first this year her phone was stolen and I have a phone in office that I allow them access to incase their phone is off I can easily reach them through it. This faithful day, I tried to access my Facebook account using the office phone and found out that this same lady had used it but forget to logout. Well, I knew it was wrong to check her inbox but all the same I did.
After checking her inbox I couldn't sleep all night. I found out that she is having unprotected sex with 5guys each guy per Sunday and she just did an abortion March this year the very day she told me that she was sick and can't make it to work and she wasn't sure who among the guys that impregnated her. I also found out that she had missed her period again and trying to hang it on one of the boys. The amazing thing is that non of these guys suspects her, they all believe she is a faithful girl friend.
I have thought of relieving her of her job, but my wife is asking me what should I give as reasons. But the truth is that I had never winessed such a wayward life before. If I pretend as though I know nothing she will eventually commit another abortion and continue with such life which is very dangerous at her age. What if she is my own daughter? Please I want the mode to push this to the front page. I want to seek others opnion about it
It was wrong for you to have gone through her chat because you'd have frowned at it if reverse were the case. Personally, I don't think it is in your place to judge her or treat her any different just because you dug up some stuffs about her. If you must let her go, you might as well sit her down, tell her your findings, get her to see her wrong and just hope she changes. I had a similar experience. My Wife and I had met a girl who was an unapologetic lesbian. We did all we could to change her but she just didn't want to change. We tried all we could but she remained adamant. She even got pregnant and didn't know who's baby it was. She later started sleeping with everything male in our neighbourhood. Well, she presently has two children by two different men that she doesn't even know their whereabouts. After trying for months to change her, we had to let her go because at some point, she started falling in love with me and I will never cheat on my wife. My wife and I always gave her goof money, clothing's and foodstuffs but she was neck-deep into sex ( casual sex). I'd advise you try rehabilitating her but if it doesn't work, cut her loose.

hello nairalanders I'm 21-year-old and I have a serious body odour problem .I take a shower ,use deodorant and 2 hours later my armpits get sticky and start smelling. everywhere I go people breathe heavily cause of me and say I smells bad .I've tried lots of deodorants and when I wear perfume it smells too strong and I shower everyday .what can I do to eliminate this shameful odour ?
Do you regularly shave your armpit and also scrub your armpit well with sponge when having a bathe? If not, then you should start doing that and as well, wash the armpit area of your shirts. If your shirts, a specially, T-shirts are expired, please change them as expired T-shirts tend to smell when in contact with a drop of sweat even after washing them well.

Nigeria is behind no doubt. But are you saying you prefer that Nigeria remains behind, rather than take steps, albeit into obsolete technology?
I would take obsolete tech, over no tech.
No, I couldn't say that. All I'm saying is that we should've gone past this level of development. Just yesterday, a community borehole project was launched by a Governor who also had his Deputy and House of Assembly Speaker with him. These shouldn't be things that we make noise about. Most people think the Government officials are doing them a favour and thereby jubilate when things like these are given them. The same Borehole project a sitting Governor, his Deputy and Speaker of House of Assembly, along with their Aides went to launch, our office between November last year and March this year dug boreholes and handed over to 19 communities in Abuja sububs without making noise about it. Our politicians need to step up their games and embrace the responsibilities they're saddled with.

RomanceRe: Guys, Have You Ever Been Molested Or Raped By A Female? by annford: 5:40pm On Jun 02, 2020
I was raped as a young boy. I was probably 5 or 6 when I had my first rape experience. I was constantly raped for a period of 5 years or so by 4 different evil and demonic females. I remember the first experience vividly. I was playing outside of our compound with my siblings, step-siblings, family friends and some neighbours when one of our female neighbours who was in Secondary School then (Her name was Ogechi. She's late), called me into one of the rooms in my Stepmother's apartment, took off her panties which revealed a very hairy private part. This very girl, pushed my face into her private part which was reeking of stench I just cannot describe and ordered me to start sucking and licking it. I didn't know what it was all about but I refused to obey her. She slapped me and threatened to kill me if I wasted anymore time. I started licking the smelly thing and I remember her pushing my head more and more into her thing. The disgusting act lasted for a couple of minutes and came to an abrupt end when someone ran into the house and she violently pushed me away so as not to be caught. After it all, she called me aside and threatened to kill me if I told anyone. She continued with the rape and even got two of her friends to rape me repeatedly. The fourth female to rape me was my stepsister. Thank God for his Grace and help because if I had allowed the numerous rape experiences I had to define me, I'd had ended up hating women ( which would've made me become a gay) or I'd have become an unrepentant Casanova. I always tell my Wife that my children will not go to anyone's house to play or spend vacation. My wife and I have our eagle eyes on our child. No one deserves to be raped.

I have a Technician friend who had told me I was spending so much on DSTV. He advised I buy a Free-to-air satellite dish. I asked him how it worked and how much it would cost and he said it would cost me roughly 12k to buy and install at my place and that a dish would give me access to over 100 channels. I gave him the money and he bought the dish. After the installation, we discovered I had access to 147 channels. He then told me I could get so much more if I bought yet another dish and got the two connected. I immediately gave him money for another dish and he bought it and combined the two and the number of channels I had access to seemed endless. Please note, you don't get to watch any terrestrial television channel. Everything you get is international. Just go to where brand new Electronics are sold, ask them if they have Free-to-air dish and they'd explain more to you.

I personally 'divorced' DSTV and Gotv years ago. I use Free-to-air both in my home and office. Free-to-air gives me over 600 channels including most of the channels DSTV and GOtv offer, so why should I throw away thousands of Naira every Month when I spent less than 20k on the Free-to-air?

I'll be very brief about this... hello my fellow nairalandlers I usually come to this forum whenever I'm in a precarious situation please I need a sincere advise from any one here, this girl I'm about to visit was a very long time girlfriend of mine right from secondary school though we didn't quarrel but do to distance barrier we were unable to see one another so she got married and the husband died like two years now then our communication started again very serious one,one thing led to another we fell in love again she wanted to come and visit me in school before this issue of covid 19 so she was unable now I left school for home she say I'm the one to come her place now though we're not leaving in same state but the journey is like 3 to 4 hour, she want me to come and spend days with her and I love this girl so i don't no weather if it's a bad idea for me to visit her or I should just lied to her.. note she's leaving in an apartment rented by her husband brother I little far from his own place. ur advice is needed my brother and sister
You want to go hang out with a Widow? You want to go spend a few days at her place, with her? I reckon you don't place any value on your life. Wait until her dead husband starts tormenting you or gives you a slap you may never recover from. Is she the only woman in this World? I just don't understand how some folks behave when love or sex is/are involved. If you died and your living wife brought in another man ( who ever he might be), to bunk at your place and have sex with her, would your Spirit feel at peace with that? Answered the question and draw your decision from it.

I bought a vehicle January 31st this year. The seller gave me someone who drove it from Lagos to Abuja with me in the car. I paid the guy 50k. Usually, when you buy a vehicle, the seller(s) could offer to drive it to your destination.

Bro, whenever you see that "Ac needs gas" of a thing, just know the Ac is broken. If it really just needs gas, what stops the person from filling it with gas before putting it up for sale? Filling the gas would cost about 5k. Most of them aren't honest at all.

That’s what those devilish sellers usually do, they quickly corner your mechanic with a share of the sale.

One of my guys had similar issue with an infinity FX35 sotay if his mechanic sees me advising him to stop spending on the wack melon na wahala.

He learnt the hard way after spending almost 900k.
It is not worth it at all. It is better one buys a car they would enjoy. Ever since the Nissan, I buy new cars from abroad. I could spend days inspecting the car I want to buy to avoid a repeat of the past. I have noticed that most people who sell vehicles that have been used in Nigeria, aren't always sincere. They'd always tell the reason for selling is because the owner wants to upgrade or relocate or bought another car...the excuses go on and on.

I would never buy any Nissan product. I bought that car "Nigerian Used". It looked clean in and out but I never knew the owner was selling it because of its numerous problems. I went with a Nissan-based Mechanic to inspect the car and he encouraged me to buy it that it was good. I never knew that the seller had promised the Mechanic 50k if he made the transaction possible. It was much later that I got to know when I started making trouble with the Mechanic guy over the incessant spendings I was making because of the car and he then confided in my cousin that the seller promised and gave him 50k for the transaction plus the 70k I gave him.
