Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Gets Jet Plane Gift From Loveworld Music & Arts Group by Aparche(f): 10:10pm On Nov 20, 2017
All these people saying he should have rejected the gift or sold it and given it to the poor, I will honestly like to know whether you have ever rejected a gift that someone gave you (say a new phone, wrist watch, money, laptop etc.) or maybe u accepted it and then sold it and gave the money to the less privileged. Now if you as a person have never done such a thing, then I consider it hypocrisy for you to expect another to do it. This is not about how expensive the gift is: if you have never done it now with somewhat "cheap" gifts, believe me, you can never do it when you receive expensive gifts.
It is an individual's right to accept or reject a gift, which ever one he chooses to do doesn't make him a bad person in the sight of God and reasonable human beings.

Instead of sending his wife to go and collect the money, he should have sent his account details nah! Even if it's a cheque, the man can still pay it in for him
CareerRe: How Do I Turn Down My Boss' Advances Without Losing My Job? (please Advice) by Aparche(f): 8:50pm On Oct 18, 2016
Let your prayer topic be that "God should deliver you from unreasonable & wicked men" like your boss.
You will be surprised that he will stop disturbing you and will also not sack you. In fact he will come to
you and apologize for his behaviour. Then come back here and testify...

Nairaland GeneralRe: If World Ends Today, Who Do You Wish To Meet In After-life? by Aparche(f): 5:39pm On Dec 21, 2012
From the replies I'm reading here, it seems a lot of people assume that almost everyone
that dies goes to heaven, but that is a LIE; infact more people end up in hell than in heaven,
the path to life(HEAVEN) is very narrow indeed(Matt.7:14)and only FEW find it. God is a Holy God and you must be
holy if you want to see Him & spend eternity with Him in heaven.

RECEIVE CHRIST INTO YOUR LIFE TODAY, GET TO KNOW HIM INTIMATELY VIA HIS WORD & LIVE A HOLY LIFE FROM HENCEFORTH
BY THE HELP OF HIS SPIRIT...THIS IS THE REQUIREMENT FOR ENTERING HEAVEN...NO OTHER WAY!

Marriage is the best institution on earth, because you are graceously given your certificate before you have even
passed any test or exam because they know that the exam might be so difficult that u will elect to leave before
the end of the program. cheesy
FamilyRe: How Much Do You Think Your Partner Should Spend On. . . by Aparche(f): 4:50pm On Jul 16, 2012
It depends on individual income, as for me I can't spend $1000 on a pair of shoes simply because I can't afford it.
But there are people who can spend that much, without feeling it. It's everyone according to their level.

As for the nagging guy thread, the op is simply not used to being super-rich.

He will get used to it(with time...)
FamilyRe: My Wife Spent 450k On Baby Shoes by Aparche(f): 4:20pm On Jul 16, 2012
grin (Why are people drinking panadol over another person's headache?
the overly excited first time mother is from a very rich family, she was born into money & is used to spending it(big time).
So 450k is probably nothing to her, maybe the value of 450k to her could be d value of 4k to u & I.

@op: u r not on the same page with your wife; u r still on pg1 while she has reached pg50(better run & catch up o!)

And as for those talking about "uncertainty of the future" starvation & poor people around us, please!!! give me a
break.

I love this song:

Baba we praise you
For all you have done
We remove hair dresses
Ajuwaya praise the Lord.

I learnt it at NCCF.

I attended 2 rural ruggeds & 1 state conference during my service yr.
It was fun sha, especially the last night of the evangelism when we usually did variety night;
with every zone in the state making a presentation of drama, song, choreography, accapella etc. Wow smiley

@0p: if he's 23/24yrs as u said, then he's no longer a child. In that case u should not be talking about getting him to go live with someone else but finding a way to make him become independent. What level of education does he have? Is it possible for u to make arrangements(financial & otherwise) for him to go learn a skill or something? Encourage him to leave ur mom & go back to his father's house, from there he can be going to the skill aquisition centre.
I think his greatest problem is fear really(fear of ur mom & his future), it has paralyzed him completely. 'cos i can't possibly think of what your mom will do to him if he decides to leave.

As 4 ur mom...let me reserve my comment

FamilyRe: He Needs Ur Advice! by Aparche(f): 4:57pm On May 08, 2012
@op advice your bros to go & look for someone else to love & marry, it's obvious the lady in question is not ready to marry. She has other priorities and marriage is probably the last thing on her mind at this point.Unless your bros is willing to take the risk of waiting. There
is no guarantee that she will become ready for marriage by the time she acquires her masters degree & lands a good job.
FamilyRe: Should I Let My Cousin Know What I Found Out About Her Fiance by Aparche(f): 4:39pm On May 08, 2012
angryWe are talking about a fiance here people(they are not yet married!). U don't keep quiet about something like this, even if u think she won't believe u.This is someone she's supposed to spend the rest of her life with. Please give your cousin the chance to make an informed decision on whether to go ahead & marry this guy or not.
But, I think her younger sister should be the one to tell her, since she's the one that was nearly molested not you.
Christianity EtcRe: Can Christians Lose Their Salvation? by Aparche(f): 4:25pm On Apr 27, 2012
I tell you, If it were a guarantee that anyone who is saved now, will always be saved (forever!) without the possibility of backsliding or becoming apostate; being a true Christian in this world would have been very easy indeed. The way and gate to life wouldn’t have been so narrow (Matt.7:14), all that would have been required of us would be: to repent- believe in Jesus –accept him into our lives-be baptized & then THAT’S IT! We could then go right ahead to live our lives the way WE WANT (good or bad? doesn’t matter, after all we are already saved). In fact, the devil wouldn’t even have been bothering himself fighting & opposing any Christian; because he will know that whoever is saved is lost to his kingdom forever. But this is not the case; instead believers are in a constant battle with the devil, the world and their flesh. This should be enough to tell you that the devil knows he still has a chance of destroying us.
Brethren, you had better work out your salvation with fear & trembling, and stop believing the lies of the devil. Strive to be HOLY, RIGHTEOUS & GODLY in this present world otherwise you will never see God. Amen
FamilyRe: Attitude Issues by Aparche(f): 3:06pm On Apr 24, 2012
@op: From your post's I can deduce that this is not something that happens once in a while(probably when u r angry or hurt)
but more like an everyday occurence; even when u r gisting with them. If this is the case, then my advice will be for you not
to say the first thing that comes to your mind. First of all think about what u want to say & how best to phrase it so that it
doesn't come out as an insult(especially if that's not ur intention).
True, u will seem a little bit slow with ur response, but then with time you would have gotten so used to it that u can talk
to people without un-intentionally saying things that piss them off.

Sisi_Kill: Lmao! Eleha Jawe!!

Why will she wanna come back to a place where she has to be "released" cheesy cheesy

Okay on a serious note, It is very annoying when people don't show appreciation after you let them use your property!! You didn't have to release her to them but you being the magnanimous person you are, you did and how do the repay you. . .mot a word of thanks. Some people have no idea what can ungratefulness can cause.

I remember a story my grandma told me, one man released his slaves to go help his friend clear his farm, after the clearing the other man didn't even come calling to say thanks. . .nothing. The slave owner got angry and fought his friend, the small fight between friends turned to all out war and before you know it the whole village razed down by fire, property lost, lives lost. . .all because one person didn't see fit to thank another for releasing his slave. SMH!! angry

My Advice, don't be angry just take this has a lesson learned. Now you know that next time you won't release your wife to any body until you get assurance they will appreciate your releasing. . .releasion. . .whatever, you get the point, no?
^^buhahahahahahahahahahaha...I love this
@op: is ur wife a prisoner in her home that u have to "release" her?
FamilyRe: ... by Aparche(f): 1:00pm On Apr 02, 2012
Na wa o, me I don't understand this kind thing; people now fear their Church & Pastors more than they fear God.
@op: from your post I can deduce that you are only worried that your Church won't wed u guys if she gets pregnant first,
not that what ur MIL is asking u to do is wrong. So who are u kidding?
FamilyRe: Who should a spouse listen to in matters of life and death? Family or the spouse by Aparche(f): 5:14pm On Mar 30, 2012
I believe in this situation it should not be a question of the "who" to listen to but the "what" to listen to. That is to say that who to listen to should be determined by the type of advice given (is it good or bad, sensible etc); it doesn't matter whether it's coming from your enemy or friend so long as it will be beneficial to you, you should take heed.
Having said this, in order not to cause problem b/w couples, if what the family is saying makes better sense, then you have got to find a way to convince your spouse. Thats my take on this issue.

Awww...I miss the excitement of watching the Telematch show every saturday evening.
- The numerous nights we will be fighting sleep just b'cos we want to watch "Last Film".
- The days when we will be running around our compd with "guns" (fabricated from sticks)fighting "war"
- The times we climbed orange trees with knives; practicing lick as u peel.
- I miss those days when I used to eat eba from the same plate with my siblings & my mom will be supervising us like mother hen,
Afterwards we will all share one piece of meat.
- Infact I miss a lot of things.
FamilyRe: Would U Accept Him Back by Aparche(f): 3:48pm On Mar 15, 2012
When It comes to choosing who to spend the rest of your life with, NEVER GIVE BENEFIT OF DOUBT; you are either 100% sure about the person or u are not. People don't change overnight! If he was treating you like trash when you were not married to him, I wonder how he will treat you if you eventually marry him. Please be wise
