@Op, so you visited your brother's house, his wife went into the kitchen to cook rice specifically for you (I'm assuming it's white rice), then she served you with one piece of meat. Instead of you to be grateful, you came here to complain. Meanwhile you didn't consider the fact that maybe there isn't much meat remaining in the stew. You don't know how they have been managing their life given the current realities, all you care about is yourself. By the way, did you even buy bread or anything at all for them when you went to visit or you went there empty handed? ![]() |
Omojudy:Wow...I thank God for your life! I really love your testimony. I don't even understand why people would want you not to be open about how you got your babies; are they trying to protect God's integrity or what? Who told them God is not glorified by your testimony? People have become so religious and deceived to the point that they have put God in a 'box' in their imagination & so they actually believe that God must do things or answer their prayer in a particular way. If not, then it cannot be of God. But that's not true. Sometimes, God answers different peoples prayer concerning the same issue in different ways. For instance, He has blessed you with two beautiful children via surrogacy, some it's via IVF, for some it's via adoption and yet others it's via natural conception. Whichever means it comes, doesn't take away the God factor because every good gift comes from God, and children are his heritage. I pray that your testimony will encourage some TTC women out there to prayerfully try other legal means of having children instead of wasting precious time waiting for a 'miracle'. |
Going through the comments, I just realized that most people here don't bother reading a post, they just read the caption and start commenting without bothering to read the content. Nigerians, make una try small naa! |
Jubilancy:Eyaa! Is it all that you have? But coke is not food naa! |
It seems to me that the thin line (of self control) separating humans from beasts have completely been wiped off; 'cos humans are behaving more like beasts these days, whereas beasts are becoming more humane. |
Say No to domestic violence... |
uuzba:Envy is a terrible thing... Smh |
ROCKYJOE:Like seriously! This is the most stupid advice I have come across so far... Smh. |
okpalaAnambra:I still cannot fathom what you are doing in the literature section, if this write up is too much for you why not go to the romance section or even business section where "something can be added to your life." |
Ken4Christ:Please just stop this type of reasoning! It's very flawed, and is simply not true. With this type of reasoning, you can easily turn against God and stop believing in Him should something unexpected happen to you which you feel shouldn't have happened simply because you area Christian & His servant. God is a sovereign being, and His ways are higher than the ways of men. We (mortal men)can never know ALL the ways, thoughts and plans of God. What is written in the bible about Almighty God is not the totality of who He really is neither does it reflect all there is to ever know about Him or His ways. God through the holy scriptures revealed to man just enough of what He felt we should know about Him and His ways in order for us to have a successful relationship with Him ( no more no less). I understand that Christians are under the protection of God and we are supposed to rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit; but you must also know that the fact that you are a Christian does not mean that only good things will be happening in your life always, neither is it a guarantee that you will live long on earth or die a painless death. Sometimes God ALLOWS bad things to happen to His children. I don't know why, but I do know that it's usually for a purpose which will eventually lead to His glory. If we should agree with your flawed reasoning, how can we explain the violent death of John the Baptist at the age of 30yrs via beheading? The shameful death of our Lord & saviour Jesus Christ at 33yrs via crucifixion? The violent death of all of the apostles except John? The death of thousands of missionaries and their families whose lives were terminated by sicknesses, accidents, and some murdered by the very same people they went to preach the gospel to. Were these people not Christians? Were they not servants of God? Were they not under the guidance of the Holy Spirit? Your reasoning is just like that of Job's friends who felt that he must have done something wrong to warrant all the calamities that had befallen him. But they were so wrong! They couldn't have known that God was testing Job's faith in Him. Yet despite their ignorance they were so presumptuous...no wonder God was very angry with them. So Bros be very careful, do not in your zeal to defend God (which He didn't ask you to do), put blame on someone when you have no idea the relationship he had with his God. |
Vortex369:So you think it's hunger that pushes most guys into yahoo? You are so wrong! It's not hunger or joblessness. It's GREED! They want to make so much money within a little space of time, so they engage in yahoo or even kidnapping, because they know that if they should engage in an honest business, it will take time before they can start making the amount of money that can finance the kind of lifestyle they so much desire. So my dear, all the economic empowerment by Federal government will still not stop some of them from kidnapping or scamming you. Besides, hell is a literal place that has a physical location. Don't be deceived... |
izzou:I tell you, I am appalled at how some men here are trying so hard to justify such an evil deed, while looking for ways to blame the victim. |
Here is a quick Riddle I am country, My citizens can gather so fast & lynch a person in the middle of the road without being afraid of police. But once a person collapses on the same road, my citizens will avoid that person, mind their business and suddenly become afraid of police. What kind of country am I? |
stankezzy:This is a natural human reaction & it has nothing to do with gender. If you generally subjugate & mistreat those under you just because you have a certain power over them; they may continue to obey you while suffering in silence because they feel helpless. But once the table is turned & they get a little power over you, the way they will deal with you eh...you will call them wicked. In the same way, you know so many Nigerian women are suffering different forms of abuse in their marriages at the hands of their husbands and they are enduring it & pretending that all is well, just because their husbands have a certain level of power or advantage over them (due mainly to the patriarchal society we have here). Once there is a power shift; which is often the case when they get a lot of money or travel abroad where their rights are respected. They must definitely react because they are no longer in that state of helplessness; they have the resources to fight back & they will use it fully (unless the person is not the vindictive type). Same goes for men... That's why you should be kind to people always, especially those that are beneath you & treat them with respect. Love your wife always, cherish her & treat her with respect. And watch her remain loyal & submissive to you even when the tide turns... (unless she's evil personified ) |
And we are wondering why our politicians are corrupt...a man that has no job, no business, can hardly take care of his home has made politics his hope & is busy day dreaming on becoming rich one day through politics. If this one eventually gets an appointment; all the monies that mistakenly come to his table are in trouble. |
Donjazzy12:Even though you may be right about what you wrote above, but it still beats my imagination how you can conclude that she's a lesbian and is not close to her son based on her write up. Like seriously!!! Someone that you don't even know personally, and you still went on to insult her. Be very careful about what you post on social media, especially on a forum like this that you believe makes you anonymous. |
Jewessgratitude:If only you had bothered to read her initial post, you wouldn't have written this judgemental epistle. And to think that she actually posted the link...smh |
hopefulLandlord:I know it really seems to you & some people here that you are making sense, but a time is coming when you will come to the realization that you have been a fool all along...I just hope it won't be too late for you. |
DateMynd44:@Op, one thing you have to know is that you can never go wrong by listening to the voice of your conscience. But your problem is that you have conditioned your mind to see any help you may extend to her as some kind of an 'investment' in which you expect something in return. When it comes to giving, and helping people in need, this is a very wrong mindset to have. Stop seeing that girl as someone who you may never date, may never have sex with and may never marry in future & start seeing her as a fellow human being who is in need & whose education is at stake. That's how come you can be able to help her...Remember that whatever we sow we will surely reap. If you sow kindness, you will reap kindness, if you sow help to someone who is in need without attaching any strings to it; you will reap same, it's just a matter of time. And most times the harvest reaped is usually more than the seed sown. You are still very young, and have your whole life ahead of you. So be wise! |
Cherrybae:Hmmm...why do you sound so bitter? ![]() |
I am not surprised that supposed Christians are arguing about acceptable dancing styles in the house of God. It goes to show that many Christians are carnal & lukewarm; they associate closely with the wrong people, listen to secular/worldly music, spend a lot of time watching secular/worldly TV shows, movies & music videos, go to clubs & attend parties for fun etc...in addition to their religious/Christian lifestyle & obligations. That's how come y'all are having this argument in the first place. Please become spiritual, "for to be carnally minded is death..." |
ozodigboo:As far as I know, Nigeria has always had insecurity issues even during past regimes when Osinbanjo was not there, and Pst. Adeboye has always been the GO of RCCG during these periods. If he did not criticize any past government because of insecurity in the past, how then can you conclude that he's not criticizing this present government just because Osinbanjo is there? Maybe the God who called him into the ministry did not call him to be a criticizer of governments but to pastor His people...which I believe he's doing wonderfully well. At the end of his life, he's answerable to God & not to Nigerians. |
wirinet:You really need to understand my initial comment, and before you can understand it, you have to read some specific comments above it. Stop putting words in my "mouth". ...in all thy getting get understanding |
O boy! I always marvel at all these atheist's that will always jump on thread's like this; if you don't believe in God why do you keep bothering yourselves with any topic that has anything to do with Him? Surely, there are countless diverse topics (that has nothing to do with God) on nairaland that you can give your attention to?... It's almost as if you are trying so hard to silence or convince that subconscious part of your being that keeps bothering you and asking: "what if you are wrong?". ![]() |
Spitting in the middle of the road. I hate seeing sputum or phlegm on the road when I'm walking, it's very disgusting. If you must spit, please spit on sand and cover it or inside gutter or bush... ![]() |
Timmypromise:These are truly the last days; and the devil & his hordes of demons are not smiling, they are working on overdrive to destroy as many people as possible and take them to hell, especially so called Christians. This is the time to adhere to the command in Rev. 22:11. |
TruthHurts100:This is exactly what the devil would want you to believe. Heaven & Hell is a literal place, (the lake of fire is also a literal place). The immortal spirits & souls of ALL dead human beings are in either of these 2 places right now very much conscious, their mortal bodies on the otherhand is unconscious & probably decayed in the grave here on earth. Whether good or bad all dead human bodies will be resurrected & made immortal so as to be joined to their corresponding spirits/soul which are already immortal. After the judgement of those whose name are not in the Lamb's book of life, they will be thrown into the Lake of fire (spirit, soul & body) in eternal consciousness FOREVER! They can never be consumed or burnt to ashes due to the fact that they are immortal; but will suffer continously & be in constant pain without respite, FOREVER! This is what is meant by eternal damnation or eternal destruction. Those whose names are written in the Lambs book of life will also be judged, but their judgement is not to condemn them, but would focus on the works which they did while on earth so as to determine whether or not they should be rewarded, the type of reward they will receive & their ranking for all eternity. These things will happen practically one day whether you believe it or not, it's just a matter of time. God is not wicked. Just as every coin has two sides; head & tail, and when you are viewing one side you cannot see the other side & you can easily conclude that it doesn't exist. In the same way, God has two sides; love/mercy (His good side) and justice/vengeance (His severe side). Right now all that humanity can see and experience is His good side (love & mercy) and it looks as if that's all there is to Him, but don't be deceived. For those who refused to remain on His good side and took it for granted, a time will come when He will show them His severe side (justice/vengeance), they will wonder if it's still the same God. They will be shocked! IS YOUR NAME IN THE BOOK OF LIFE? MAKE SURE YOUR NAME IS WRITTEN IN THE LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE. YOU MUST BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, ACCEPT HIM AS YOUR SAVIOUR AND MAKE HIM THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE. THAT'S IF YOU WANT YOUR NAME TO BE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE. |
Before the advent of electron microscope, viruses were in existence but it was impossible to see them with the normal microscope. Could it be that the finger prints of these twins are so similar & alike that the current machines being used in biometric capturing cannot tell any difference? Could it be that a difference really exists, but it can only take a more sophisticated equipment which probably has not been invented yet? I honestly believe that this is the only explanation...who knows? |
Sterling Bank have already established themselves at the moon, so I guess they can afford to be gracious by extending an apology... ![]() |
Daddy Freeze is assuming that the purpose of the Church (the body of Christ) or individuals washed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ is to make this world a better place. But that is not true. Satan is the god of this world (2Cor.4:4), this world is his domain for now. Jesus Christ reconciled us to the Father, and has given us a ministry of reconciliation. Our purpose is to reconcile others to Him whilst waiting for his glorious appearing. We are NOT of this world, we have another world in view. So do not expect the church to spend all it's resources building factories to create employment, subsidizing their schools to make education free for people and building roads ( they are not the govt.). These things are NOT their priorities, their number 1 priority is soul winning. However, if they decide to do any of these other things, it's just an added advantage to us. Christ will never judge them for not doing it. |

Due to the issues she's passing thru she may not be able to pay back.
