Negro_Ntns:Right on point. Our politicians make promises just to excite people and make them vote. I still remember the compilation of all GEJ promises during his campaign, he has not even done anything and he's looking for tenure extension. *smh for Nigeria |
I'm not surprised he is proposing a 7-year single term This was his statement before the election:Jonathan remarked: “I will not talk about the tenure of the Government, the constitution has said four years, though some believe that four years is too short to make any change, which I also believe. I believe because if you are a new person and you are elected as a governor today, it will take one to one and half years for you to really stabilize. And you also know that some members of your cabinet are not good and that is why in most cases, after one year or two Mr. president reshuffles the cabinet and by the time you want to go for another two and half years, it is another election and you are all busy about winning election. |

The earlier we realise that GEJ is the worst elected president the better for us. For God's sake this man said he needs a year and half to settle down in office. ![]() Jonathan remarked: “I will not talk about the tenure of the Government, the constitution has said four years, though some believe that four years is too short to make any change, which I also believe. I don't know why people turn every issue into tribal war. No one is a loser in this situation, Aganga is still in the cabinet and I believe based on his experience, he is good for Ministry of Commerce and Investment while Okonjo is better in Finance. Both Ministries are very important to economic development and that was why they have been expanded. We might say Aganga did not perform up to expectation in the last one year and we can crucify him for that, but Mr president has his own blame because the last thing on his mind one year ago was the economy, all his attention was focussed on the election and he did all he could to win even at the expense of the economy. There was little poor Aganga could do ![]() |
El Guapo:lol, 24 season 10 featuring GEJ ![]() |
egift:He already said he needs one year to settle down, he has just spent a month so please allow him ![]() |
careytommy:Going at this rate, where we have an average of 3 attacks per week from terrorists, I doubt if Nigeria will still exist by 2015 ![]() |
Do we still have a president in Nigeria ![]() |
It would have been much more easier for Nigeria to disintegrate into North and South at first. Further disintegration can then take place in future if there's still need for it ![]() |
Ibime:You don't get it, they are not supporting Ibori, they are actually supporting his trial. Their aim is to counter the paid scumbags protesting against the trials |
A group of Nigerians is organizing an unprecedented rally in London on July 22 to drum up support for the trial of former Delta State Governor, James Ibori. The event will take place at the Southwark Crown Court, the venue of Mr. Ibori’s forthcoming trial on money-laundering charges. In a statement issued in London, the group criticized the presence in court, at Ibori’s first appearance, of about 50 people who were alleged to have been sponsored by the Delta State Government, which is headed by Ibori’s cousin, Emmanuel Uduaghan. “If you are offended by any act that promotes or supports corruption, this is your opportunity to show solidarity with the long-suffering Deltans whose future has been mortgaged by the alleged criminal activities of Mr James Ibori and his gang of looters,” the statement said. Full text of the statement: Please join us for the justice for Deltans rally scheduled for Friday July 22, 2011 at the premises of the Southwark Crown Court. We believe it was wrong for 50 people, allegedly sponsored by the delta state government, to have protested James Ibori's trial for money laundering in the uk. We believe that the new Nigeria we are all trying to build does not provide for such pro-corruption activities. If you are offended by any act that promotes or supports corruption, this is your opportunity to show solidarity with the long-suffering Deltans whose future have been mortgaged by the alleged criminal activities of Mr. James Ibori and his gang of looters. Let us come out in droves to say, "enough is enough" to those who by their criminal conduct, have destroyed whatever bright future our innocent children might have. Please invite your friends and families to this rally at the premises of the Southwark Crown Court, 1 English grounds, off Tooley street, London SE1 2HU, United Kingdom.
