1- they listened to the 98% who opposed the war .

2- Tinubu didn't want to squander the ₦1 trillion saved from subsidy on a war.

3- they are scared of the wider consequences.

4- they are scared of proxy wars (Niger can decide to supply arms to iswap and Boko haram) .

5-lack of a consensus for action within the ranks of ECOWAS .

6 poor troop morale .

7- Wagner factor .

8- alliance of Guinea ,Mali and burkina Faso with Niger .

9- refugee crisis.


This is a needless war that should have never been contemplated .. they better back off

WHY THERE WAS NO IGBO LEADER KILLED IN THE COUP?

The masterminds and executors of the first ever coup d'etat in Nigeria claimed that they chose to take power from civilians because of mismanagement of the country. The government at the time was made up of representatives from all regions in Nigeria.

So, I've been pondering, there were quite a number of casualties, notable ampng which are:

1. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa (Prime Minister (Northern))
2. Ahmadu Bello (Premier Northern Region)
3. Ladoke Akintola (Premier Western Region)

There were other Premiers and in fact, the President was from neither North nor West but from a particular region.

The coup plotters themselves were from a particular region, coincidentally(?) the same as the one where the Nigerian president and spared Premier was from. I'm just wondering what could have been the reason leaders from certain regions were killed and leaders from the region where the coup plotters were spared. Is it that northerners and westerners are poor leaders naturally and leaders from the coup plotting region are sound and effective? This is just me being curious. If the above is true, can we then say that this region with naturally sound leaders is head and shoulders above the rat of Nigeria in terms of development and advancement? If, however, this region is relatively indistinguishable from other regions in terms of economic and social metrics can we infer that the reason for them killing and sparing certain people was perhaps motivated by other factors?

Just musing here tbh. Anybody with answers that can do justice to my curiosity should please come to my aid. Thanks

And unfortunately for them, many have left their home region to spread themselves and build homes and businesses across other regions. So if this growing intertribal hatred metamorphosed to intertribal conflicts, the Igbos will suffer the greatest loss.

So they should mellow down on their irritating tribal insults, superiority complex and victim mentality for peace to reing.

And if they succeed in achieving their Biafra agenda, what will happen to their large number of kinsmen who have established homes and businesses across other regions? Have they thought about this?

Mr Obi was not a member of LP as at the deadline time LP submitted its membership register to INEC. No court waved aside that fact for Obi as it's now clearly shown that what Obi did was an infraction on the Electoral law. Not even the court judgement Obidatti is using to confuse you waved it aside for Mr Obi or recognised him as a candidate beyond his name featuring on a list of candidates INEC published! Read the judgement of the AC that Mr Obi is clawing on as a straw :

The appellate court noted that whereas Obi resigned from the PDP on May 24, 2022, INEC published his name as candidate of the LP on September 20, 2022.

It further observed that following the publication of Obi’s name, the APM, being a registered political party that also has a candidate for the presidential election, filed its suit on September 30, 2022.

The court held that since the suit was filed exactly 11 days after Obi’s name was published by INEC, it was not caught by the 14 days limitation stipulated in Section 285 (9) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, and therefore not statute barred.

However, it held that Sections 29 (5), 84(14) and 142 of the Electoral Act, as well as Section 285(14) of the Constitution, clearly defined a person that could lodge a pre-election case to disqualify a candidate in an election.

The appellate court stressed that under section 157 of the Electoral Act, only an aspirant could challenge the nomination of a candidate to INEC.

It held that APM did not qualify as an aspirant, adding that the duty of INEC was to publish names submitted to it by political parties.

The court held that by INEC publishing Obi’s name, “it has done no more than comply with provisions of the Electoral Act”.

More so, the appellate court held that though the APM alleged that Obi’s name was not on the register the LP submitted to INEC, it failed to tender the said register in evidence.
Now, every candidate and LP aspirant challenging LP mandate 'place holder' in court is presenting the LP register in every court. Even the few seats LP got from the illegality will be lost. PDP and APC will gain more seats following this judgement.

LP register is now hot cake. Trust Mr Arabambi and co who are the real owners of LP to by now be mass producing it for anyone who needs it to prove their case in court and claim back the mandate illegally obtained by LP impostors a.k.a Mandate Thieves
