My mum have never liked my wife to the extend of wishing her death when she lost our first baby and I had disowned her for saying that. So far we haven't had any contact since the incident and we are finally proud parents of twins boy and girl born in February. My stepmother have been here for us since day 1 she is in my house taking care of my wife and babies , my mum called saying that she want to come over and take care of my wife and kids and will be spending a month . I lied to her that my wife is with her sister and will let her know when she is back to the house so she can come over. To be Frank I don't want her near my wife because she doesn't likes her and I don't think she have any good plan for us. Did I do the right thing for lying to her my wife is not around or should I give her the chance to come over and see if she have truly change?

Legal practice is a business and every human being is a potential customer. You don't form allies with a particular group hence you will lose other clients . Any client that is willing to pay for your services is most welcomed irrespective of the party he belongs to.

In today's society, I noticed that people seem to see those that do not go to church regularly as not being serious with their heavenly race and salvation of soul and this makes it look like one salvation of soul is tied down to going to church regularly.

I am one of such person that do not like going to church at all, but I believe so much in God and I know I am not the only one in this. This problem is faced by so many people in the world.

So is there anything wrong in one not going to church regularly but believe in God within himself or herself and try his or her best in doing the things that pleases God.

I haven't also been to church since the beginning of this year. But i know very well that it is wrong not because people are saying so. Whatever people say is not my priority except it's in line with the bible.

I am not judging you, I have same problem. But the church is where you get edified . My prayer life and worship dropped since I stopped going to church regularly. Prayer was a lifestyle but it has become a burden , my vision has also dropped. I begin to guess things whereas I used to see things before they ever occur. The bible said iron sharpeneth iron .
Worship and prayer is based on information, hence you need to be informed about what God is doing in the generation. This will make you to pray and worship rightly .
Don't say I don't go to church but I believe in God with all my heart. The bible said , even the devil believes in God . He so much believes in God that at the mention of the name of Jesus , he trembles.

We really need to change . We must stop living for ourselves. We don't decide how we want to worship God , there is a pattern laid down in the bible that we must follow. Aaron sons tried to worship God in their own way and they were crunched.
We were bought with a price , not to live for ourselves unto God.

I know I may get some backlashes for this on Nairaland but the truth is some industries deal more with looks than any other thing, hospitality (I mean the top ones) is one of them. Even if you apply for some position in bank without an extreme enticing body/shape, you will not be selected.
It's a known fact everywhere not just in Nigeria, you should know your look/ body shape can get you disqualified for some jobs.

I remember someone saying "ooomo, una get fine fine girls for here o" when I was working for one company few years ago. The truth is beauty is one of the things they consider in that company when recruiting (not only for girls), because they believe they sell looks and naturally or not, you must be presentable at all times.

Before marrying my wife she seems to be this very generous and accommodating fellow . I felt fall in Love with her because this is just the kind of partner I want,

I have not really stand very well financially, though comfortable and contented, but I have this great dream of, because of what I pass through to help as much people as I can.
While dating her, she told me all kinds of stories of her philanthropic and generous gestures to people.

But moving forward to today, she seems to be direct opposite of everything.
She detests people coming close or we offering any kind of help or assistance to family both hers and mine not to talk of friends.

What about suggesting to assist a relative that can't afford, with their child education na war
We have not born but I have more than enough space to bring one or two children to see them through school but my wife is not buying is at all at all.

I know who I am before I marry, this is the only thing that gives me joy, and my only reason for asking God everyday to bless me so that I can bless people.

But right now am seriously confused

Remember you are already married hence, you can only build on your marriage in whatever way you can. But there are so many ways of doing good things without involving your wife. If you so much wish to train or cater for the needs of others , do it without letting your wife know. Your wife does not need to be aware of all your goodwill or financial help to others as long as you are not using her money. Women are very territorial hence you don't need to bring another person's child to live in your house.
I once told my ex girlfriend that I would like to adopt children later on and that I will like to raise and train other people's children. My dear If you see serious quarrel that day ehhn She said she can't take it and that no other children other than her children should bear my name .

That was all and the following day, i received a letter of suspension without querry.
