Germans are still very uncomfortable with non-Germanic people as citizens. They had one of the most restrictive nationality laws in Western Europe until around decade plus ago. Dual citizenship for non-EU people is in theory not allowed. People just go behind and collect original nationality again. Their idea is that they had no colonies. But they had: Namibia, Togo and Cameroon. And lost them at end of first world war! |
Rutley:Apparently she's 33 years old. Whether na football or table tennis age o, I nor know o. ![]() |
prela:No money. No better place to escape to. RUSSIA is very tight because of police. Some thought they could settle there and work there after visiting visa expires. But Russia is not such a place. Some agents who processed travel papers for some of them went behind them in 9ja to cash the return leg of their tickets. On getting to airport to return to 9ja they found that their return tickets do not exist anymore. 9ja and 419. ![]() Considering the above with no job, house or money, they pleaded with Federal government to help them return home. |
iamwhat:Lol. Ask him now which pastor made Paul fall under anointing on Damascus road?He will start to invent what Bible did not say. Modern churches are on the way to discredit themselves. It might be fun fooling people, collect their money, live the high life and frolick with politicians. European churches did that centuries ago. See how few people in Europe care about churches today. |
Na wa o. Zoo director siphoning money meant to feed animals. Or Commissioner in charge lining his pocket. Is it by force to have predators in zoo? Let them put chicken in the zoo. At least corn is not too expensive to feed chicken. ![]() |
Some people will not like this post. OP you wan ruin the only option for some lazy yoots to ride big cars, wear sharp suits and date big girls? Abi you want make dem go do yahoo plus? ![]() |
Yep, Toyota is slightly overhyped. There's herd mentality too a bit. On the positive side: (1) Mechanics experiment with Toyota cars daily. From first day as apprentice. Because they are ubiquitous. So mechanics understand the brand better. That makes it possible for virtually any decent mech & Kazeems to repair it. (2) because of high demand for parts, the market is awash with fakes. This gives the impression that parts are cheap. Psychologically good. Though long term economically & safety-wise not good. (3) Second hand value is good & easy to sell on too. (4) Though common, it's still a respected brand. Given a choice a teacher or average person will choose a RAV-4 over a Nissan Exterra, Rover Freelander or other brands of models in roughly similar bracket. |
delugajackson:And the cows never even get pregnant or deliver calves to increase in number. ![]() |
Abeos:Actually in the design of luxury cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and handcrafted cars, art is a big part of it. |
Firefire:And SHALL. ![]() |
Lol. |
Senselin:In particular some hangers - on wanted GEJ to hang on to power and dispute the election as rigged especially in Kano. His conceding against their advise borne out of self-interest angered them. Failure is truly an orphan. |
MrBrownJay1:Simple thing for me: I do not value just visa free because anyone rich enough to be an international tourist can equally afford regular visa fees. That is life. In a pragmatic world the more you have to spend the more the incentive you are given to come and spend. Free visa is such. If we had continued to develop as we were in the 1960s by now we would be economically rich enough to seen as tourist spenders. I clearly emphasized what I find important. Just free visa to go spend money might be attractive to you, but not to everyone. More important to the average African who are majority on this forum would be ability to freely move into a country, settle, work and study paying low fees or no fees. That is certainly more important from African perspective and other developing nations. People more likely to cross hazardous terrains like the desert to reach a Western country. And face harsh visa conditions and often face immigration detention & deportation. You seem to want to dictate the scope of discussion. I wonder how in a shallow way you consider travelling, settlement/working/studies as mutually exclusive. Totally funny to me. ![]() We both have different ideas about immigration and travelling. IT IS COMPLETELY wrong that anyone can seek a job anywhere. If you were visiting a country on a tourist visa, you are not legally allowed to seek jobs in most countries. That people do so in Dubai/UAE doesn't mean it applies to all countries. Unless for certain skill shortage professions where such is expressly allowed legally according to the country's needs. You talk about Scandinavia as if they were cocooned from rest of the world. Finland, Sweden & Denmark that are part of EU also roughly follow the free settlement rules of EU citizens. So why not relate them to UK or Germany for example? |
MrBrownJay1:Actually quite different for a French person within EU. A French person is automatically able to seek work anywhere in EU. Whereas a Singaporean cannot seek a job without already having the permit. Until UK leaves EU, a Dutch person needs no permit all in UK to work and live. The permit is a formality, not a necessity. Having used same right within several EEA countries I know what I am talking about. Some EEA/EU nations are slightly stricter. Like Scandinavian countries perhaps. Also the low fees an EU person can pay like locals within EU is not same as Singaporeans who pay full foreigner's fees. I remember Japanese, American, Singaporean and other foreign colleagues paying around 30k dollars annual tuition fees while EU paid around 3k dollars like locals for the most competitive course in a top UK school. Just visa free on the surface is deceptive. Only important to those countries whose citizens do tourism a lot. That is why typical net emigration countries like Nigeria do not get such privileges. |
MIKOLOWISKA:Still same thing. With modern electronic system, why should registering take a long time? The masses are just not factored in. Simple. I used to buy shares for as low as $1000 dollars equivalent in a Western country 20 years ago. At flotation of big companies. Minimum shares were not set so high. So that individuals, and not just institutional visitors could take part. At times the shares were so oversubscribed that you were only allocated half your subscription: around $500 at times, at times $1,500 out of $3000 subscription. It encouraged one to cultivate the habit of investing even when one didn't have much money to spare then. The govt of a country where 18k is minimum wage should work even harder to encourage average people to invest than private companies. |
MIKOLOWISKA:You did not read a response to original post that was answered earlier on the thread. N10m worth of subscription is the minimum. |
Oceannaagent:Singapore has taken over already. German passport is even way ahead now. Any European Union/EEA passport is better than Singapore passport though. It is not just about travelling visa free. Unless you're a profesional tourist paid to review tourist resorts worldwide. EU/EEA passports will actually allow you not only to travel to around 170 countries visa free (including USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, etc), you can also settle & work in around 40 countries in Western Europe. Including non-EU countries like Norway, Switzerland, etc. |
Very bad. A doc for that matter. |
4601CE:Out of 200,000,000 Nigerians, how many have N10,000,000 free cash to invest? ![]() It appears nothing they do is meant for average honest people. Not even 500k or N1m minimum sub to encourage average people to participate. |
My dear Aduni as long as you do not consider your actions embarrassing to your children and other loved ones, give no damn about people you do not know from Adam. Anyone can have opinions because it is free. But it does not mean their opinions can make a dent on your life. We have a hypocritical society where somebody with elephantiasis will be mocking his neighbour with a little carbuncle. |
olasaad:Good question. And what if you use Nigeria number WhatsApp say in North America but changing to a new android phone. You want to retain the Nigeria number WhatsApp and chat history. The Nigeria number itself is not active anymore. Complicated I guess. |
Buhari is 75 & Saraki is 55. Bubu is easily old enough to be his dad. In Yoruba culture quite normal to dobale sef. Whether you disagree with or even hate an elder is irrelevant. Not worth FP to me. |
udemzyudex:Do NPF people respect laws? Last last they will claim they suspected her of being an accomplice/receives and helps him sell stolen goods. Gunshot victims are now supposed to be treated without police report. But doctors know better that police will not adhere to it. So most still refuse. Or bail that is supposed to be free. Sad. |
SenorFax:Well in Benin the chiefs' attire is modeled on the cassock of princes of the Catholic church: cardinal-Bishops. An Oba of Benin wanted to convert the Kingdom to a Catholic Kingdom. Centuries ago after his education in Portugal and became Catholic when he was still the crown prince. However, the nobles/chiefs resisted at the end. But the robes remained. Celestial church came about hundreds of years later. History is much deeper than we see superficially. The first Olu of Warri was Prince Ginuwa of Benin. He was the son of Oba Olua of Benin, reigned 1475 to 1480. He obviously would have taken royal court practices to Ewere/Iwerre that is now called Warri and influence would have persisted for quite a long time in the past. |
udumosam23:I also wonder about that court. But they have difficult and complicated cases to handle. Most times at least one party has thoroughly had it. Cases there clearly demonstrate the problems of society as they affect marital unions and children: Ignorance, poor choices, poverty, infidelity and lack of organised state social service system to intervene promptly in family and children matters. |
Kikikikikiki. ![]() These Igando court people don come with their orisirisi again. How come they could not agree on common family planning? If they couldn't agree on that, I doubt if they also see to eye on other important family matters too. Life is tough enough when both parents together care for kids. How can they agree to share custody and upkeep of the kids now? |
As much as we condemn this couple, in 20 to 25 years, it will become normal thing in 9ja. The West will pressurize our politicians (maybe even threaten to seize their money & assets stashed abroad) to repeal current homosexuality legislation. We Africans are follow-follow. No liver to remain ourselves. Instead of condemning them, we better start getting used to it in anticipation. |
jibbish:Seriously very ignorant my brother. The OP knows little about money and economy. On the whole CEFA is not weak at all. It has maintained its value far better over time. I remember using Cefa 20 years ago on a visit to Cotonou. The Naira was way higher in value. Now the difference is small. If Nigeria was a good exporting country, with low inflation & relative currency stability, the rate to the dollar wouldn't matter much. Japan deliberately left its Yen rate as it is. Before Euro, the Deutschmark supported by a bigger & stronger economy than UK left its rate to hover around DM3 = £1. Even the Pound was coupled to DM in the European Exchange Rate Mechanism until almost free fall of the Pound on 16th September 1992. A day called Black Wednesday in British financial history. The mere exchange rate to dollar doesn't tell even half the story. If at N360 to a dollar, minimum wage is like 125k, economy is stable and booming, there are jobs/job security, low inflation and we have a trade surplus, the current exchange rate would be totally fine. |
DrDre1:I would accept your assertion if it was UAE. But not Qatar. Immigrants already almost overtaken natives. The current workforce needed to prepare for World Cup has maintain a fairly liberal immigration. This is a country still not Liberal with granting citizenship. Gulf Arabs have the money to indulge their passion bit they are not anymore football crazy than Africans. Qatar is hosting for prestige reasons. But it also shows Arab disunity. Joint hosting with UAE would have been so much better. Like Japan/South Korea 2012. Morocco could have teamed up with Algeria to likely win the last World Cup bid they just lost. But boarders between both countries have been closed for over a decade. The schedule in Autumn m might also affect fans travelling from across the world. World Cups typically coincide with summer holidays for many fans in June and July. What is talking is money FIFA will get, not common sense or interest of football. |
