Good stadia. But they might be empty during the game. The country has a small population and half of it (women) will likely not be allowed to watch the games. I remember empty seats in South Africa WC. Or will they allow lots of fans from other countries for free (free match tickets) come in just to watch the matches? |
hammer6F:That may be this is an insult to an illiterate. Not to someone who deals with humans and their most intimate stuff routinely. And knows that many people are far worse than animals. We are human animals. When you ignore reality and do not understand yourself or temperament, you can do worse than an animal. Animals are by and large harmless. Even predators only kill to eat or to prevent danger. to self and young ones. Boko Haram, all the rapists, killers, ritualists and all are supposed to be human beings. I saw a step-son, a neighbour , nearly stab his step-father to death. Over 25 years ago. A caring man. We all saw how he looked after them and brought them up. Many other cases I know. Go ahead and have many step-kids. May God help you. If you think experience has no value, it will teach you a lesson. Did I in anyway justify his killing? He needs to face death or jail for his actions is not condemnation? Can you even comprehend what you read? What will raining curses on him achieve at this point? Nothing. What will achieve something is for people to know what they are getting into. Do not marry a divorcee or a widow with kids just out of pity. That pity may end up badly for all involved. That way such stories that touch can be avoided. Nigerian are too sentimental/emotional and refuse to be analytical. Hence we repeat same mistakes over and over. By the way, writing caps is rude. It is equivalent to shouting. Although your words sum up your attitude well enough. |
I advise people to be careful before taking on step-children, especially men marrying women with many kids. I have mentioned this on several threads here before. In my observation, most step=kids never appreciate what you did for them. With time they might even cause your marriage to their mum to fail. Especially if they make money fairly young and feel they can now care for their mother. If you cannot take bullshit, your reaction to their behaviour is what will make headlines. Not saying this dead boy was at fault. But certainly bad blood would have existed between them for whatever reason. He will now face life in jail or death for his actions. I pity both families. A man should be a man and let things slide. RIP. |
Okuchris:Ok nothing wrong with it. Even if I was a lady I'd think carefully before accepting such from a stranger. Be sure nothing is expected in return. Unless one is reay to return the favour one way or another. ![]() |
Okuchris:I am a guy. You first answer yes or no. It's just good manners to answer a question before asking yours. But I certainly wouldn't need a car gift. |
Okuchris:I am a guy. You first answer yes or no. It's just good manners to answer a question before asking yours. |
Nice. |
Okuchris:You call that luck Miss? Would you accept such a car from a secret admirer? |
Beremx:Kemi Adeosun, Diezani Madueke and Pat Ette will be perfect candidates. Because you need something counterfeit, incomplete or corrupt about you to rise in Nigerian politics. Women won't be an exception. ![]() |
Wise women will heed this advise and enjoy their marriage. But some over-sabi rebels without a cause will just argue for nothing without making any sense. Later they will open a new account with a new moniker to lament how hubby has got another woman and seeking our advise. ![]() |
wiseone28:John Tigana was central midfielder in 1986 Squad. He had such a fantastic link up with Michel Plantini in attack then. Tigana was born in French Sudan (now called Mali). He has been manager of Marseilles, Monaco, Lyon, Bordeaux, Fulham (London, UK), etc. Blacks have been in some other European squads for long. Mario Coluna was captain of Portugal national team that reached semi-final of 1966 world cup. A black man from Mozambique. Eusebio, another black man was the super star of that Portugal team just like Cristiano Ronaldo is today. |
greggng:Ah! Balkan and Eastern European women are super hot o. You will see tall pretty babes like this and you wonder how they select Miss World. ![]() |
So sad. RIP. Sometimes it's like a crime to be born in 9ja. I guess nobody predicted heavy rains that can flood such areas. Flash floods do happen, but how did the authorities respond here? |
In reality this is not as easy as it sounds. This is Africa. Most women still expect the man to pay all the bills. Irrespective of the woman's income. So one must consider the nature of their relationship and how much involved in their marriage the woman's family are. What is the man's profession and can he secure at least a 100k job in Kaduna? Is the woman understanding and won't mind footing the bills respectfully for 6 months to one year while the hubby seeks a new job? Or will her visiting relatives start making snide remarks about "how some lazy men rely on their wives to survive these days". ![]() If you consider all these, what should be easy on paper can suddenly become more complex. |
post=69418999:Winning world cup is magical. The euphoria that erupts nationwide lasts for weeks. Fortunate to witness France'98 home win. Like now Africans/Caribbeans or other blacks were in it aplenty: Zidane, Desailly, Henry, Thuram, Karembeau & Vieira. |

eagleeye2:That is exactly what the powers that be always hope. That we will soon forget because we have a short memory. If this matter gets bigger and bigger, they will just release 3 or 4 Chibok girls from where they kept them. And nobody will remember Kemi Oluwole NYSC certificate again. ![]() |
Autopsy urgently. Oh they have already buried them. Perhaps without one. In 9ja people will ask "will autopsy bring them back?" It can be carbon monoxide from bad fuel/gen, contaminated food, deliberate poisoning/murder. But we only want GOD to do miracles even for things we can do ourselves. |
CAPSLOCKED:Not entirely correct. Average age of menopause is just over 51 years, but a few up about 55. Yes you see premature menopause (under age 40) and early menopause (under age 45) more often these days. But some over 50s are still there. If this woman grew up the old way, with less fatty food and if her female blood relatives typically begin having periods (menarche) later in life like from above 13 or 14 years, she probably had her first period at same age too. Which could mean delayed menopause well above the average age of 51. My only concern is that peri-menopause (quite likely at that age) would have decreased her chances even further at age 52 or thereabout that she conceived. In Nigeria most people choose to claim miracle instead of telling us they used assisted reproduction or even surrogacy. This encourages TTC people to keep waiting for miracle when using available technology might actually help. Especially women still under 40 who might still have higher success rates with assisted reproduction. |
Hmmmm Curious science. |
Gidilagoon:Dude you had no right to slap her. That is in fact a crime and in some countries will give you jail time and criminal record that can ruin your career as a healthcare professional, lawyer, banker and several jobs. I wonder how difficult is it to understand that nowadays you're only a shareholder in your girlfriend. Until wedding night lots of girls still bleep around. So that around 35% of firstborn kids belong to another man outside. Now imagine that USA guy visited, she gives an excuse why she cannot see you that week/weekend in in order to bleep her Yankee dude. You bleep her the following week. If by chance she met the Yanke guy during her fertile period, gets preggy, two months later she might give you the great news. Next thing is a quick wedding before belly gets big. Another scenario is if the USA guy was single, before you know it, he'd have organised fiancee visa for her. Next thing you hear is she's in USA. ![]() You seem unaware of reality on ground. The reason she's remorseful is you're probably the only eligible/single guy among her boyfriends. ![]() An acquaintance nearly went crazy about two years back. He has a great job and pampers his gf. Before proposing to her he decided to check her social media accounts. He nearly had a heart attack. The beautiful, gentle & religious babe he paid school fees and rent for and others had boyfriends left and right, local & international. He's yet to recover from it. Of course she begged and all that. The dude moved on. Best thing is not to even check their account because most are at it. Some are just too smart to be caught. Just hope for the best. |
Speakdatruth:A relative finished university in 9ja at around 19. Only in Nigeria does her size look incompatible with 18. I have seen some age 16 like her in the West. Many kids grow like agric fowl these days. |
Olalan:Lol. When it comes to lies women are experts. Even those that have dated 40 men claim to have only dated 2 or 3. |
2buffagain:A very mature comment. Many comments I have read here show how shallow and materialistic many people have become. What the guy needs is a trophy wife. To parade about and get accolade and approval from friends and family. There are many ready to be one. While dressing up nicely is a good thing but doing it OTT each time can be a drag. You can dress simple, be comfortable and look good. He finds some good attributes in OP but not fully to his taste. The guy has money but needs to learn more about human nature. He also needs to be himself and try too hard to use his bride to impress others. @OP you can sit him down and tell him firmly that you appreciate his generosity and care. But you're a simple person. That you are proud of his economic success but you'd love him even if he had far less money. That you'd prefer to dress simple and comfortable. But would dress appropriately to big events. Then of course try to dress nice & simple. You can both reach a compromise. If you continue to tag along just to please him, you might become tired and resentful. Especially when you will have kids and household to manage too. |
SalamRushdie:Tor! Many Western national teams are doing it. In 1998, Eric Cantona was probably the best known French footballer. France Manager Aime Jacque overlooked him. Because he "Kong-Fu" kicked a fan in a premier league match years before and was too controversial. This year France overlooked Benzema because of his past legal matters. Controversial top players are being left out to maintain better team spirit in a quintessential team game like football. In 1996, Cantona derided Didier Deschamps as a mere water carrier (for his humility). In 1998 Deschamps lifted FIFA World Cup as captain. He's France manager playing in the final tomorrow. |
Money is talking. Rather money of those who know how to use their oil money well. Nobody will make such concession for African countries. |
He should be doing this at Daura and allow young dynamic people take charge of government. |
LazyNairalander:Why do they use microscope to trace anyone who commits crime in countries they were born & raised abroad to Nigeria? If they are sport stars then nobody traces their origins to us? Part of English-speaking Cameroon was part of Nigeria Eastern Nigeria until 1960s. They left after a referendum. That their grandmother is probably a Yoruba woman, does it make it impossible for their granddad to be from former Nigerian part of Cameroon? |
WisdomFlakes:You're correct. Lots of Deltan & some Bayelsan families still live there. Anyway, it's still one of the 7 or 8 cities in Nigeria with over one million people. The diversity is just amazing. A guy from Lagos was posted there as area manager of a big company many years back. He still insists his 8 years or so there remain his most stress-free period of his adult life. You with creation of more states & more state capitals, Federal presence in old capitals like Enugu, Kaduna, Ibadan, Benin have reduced. These were the few cities with aerodromes/airports back in the early 1950s when Queen Elizabeth visited Nigeria. Kaduna Nzeogwu had only one retirement plan before the January 1996 coup: to return to Benin & run an hotel. Hotels are still everywhere in Benin till today. |
neezar:His Middle name is Adesanmi. His junior brother is called Adeyemi. Only Kylian's adopted brother Joris Kembo Ekoko (of Congo-Zaire origin) had no nigerian middle name. But all three boys are footballers. Some say his father's mum is a Nigerian lady. |
I nor see anything there. The hips just wide like tray. ![]() |
