Fashionista01:Only problem is, even those who married as virgins can and some do go on to cheat later. |
erniok:In a country where everyone likes to play smart and do mago mago, where everything has a price, nobody trusts nobody. People nor trust themselves much less another person. Also very worrying is how religiosity has rendered some people senseless. The late Delta boy was taken to church for prayers instead of taking to a proper hospital. A doctor was called home instead of being admitted. Faith and all that is a good thing. But pastor is for prayer and salvation, the physician is to treat. God gave the physician his talent and opportunity to treat. Is that not miracle enough? RIP to the departed. |
No petrol, no light, no better public hospitals, no road, grand corruption, herdsmen killing and maiming across 9ja, yet no protest. Across Africa, jaga jaga and wars everywhere, no protest. Common sense is not common. Someone said Nigerians are schooling in Ukraine. Well, it is failure of 9ja that drove Nigerians to study in a country like Ukraine. Not even American, British or EU standard schools o. How many Ukrainians leave their country to study in 9ja? Ukraine has been independent for barely 30 years compared to 9ja's over 61 years. |
mrvitalis:Ordinarily I would have disagreed with the bolded but not anymore. GEJ should accept the ticket if given. Even if just to scatter APC and give uppercut to those who were obstacle to his government. From using boko, using their media control, opposing badly needed subsidy removal to stop corruption in it and never seeing anything good that he did. Since nobody has honour or integrity in 9ja politics including the Ponmo mouth himself, why should only Jonathan keep doing gentleman that is used by uncouth agberos to ridicule him later? They have had power for 8 years and only have increased skull mining, herdsmen terrorists rampaging across 9ja including killing a king in Ondo State, yahoo boys everywhere, pounds sterling over 770 to a Naira, high inflation, world poverty capital, hunger and worse to show for it. |

ApexTrends:Welcome to Nairaland Mr. Kulluvuitukonnen. ![]() You want to join NATO and let Putin test some missiles in Torku or Helsinki. Or Na Finland near Okitipupa you mean? ![]() |
Nlanalyst:Not true. Oba was being hosted by the Alake and another king on visiting Ogun State. If his hosts want to go visit probably the most famous son of Ogun state alive today and congratulate him on his forthcoming birthday, should he refuse? |
Error401:Sharp shooter! Papa Bornboy abi Papa Baby loading............ With a bit of luck, ivineva, ejima or ibeji may just be loading. Congratulobia. ![]() Dude, why not do a proper pregnancy test just to be sure? |
MadamVanessa:Thank you. Some of our ladies forget that fairness, honesty and objectivity from women will make people to respect women more instead of being on the defensive every time. If a random work colleague goes about suddenly kissing any of my female relatives, I would call it sexual harassment. So why should it be different if a random girl does same to any of my male relatives? If a guy did it, he might have gotten a dirty slap for his stupidity. But in this case, you see some write that the guy enjoyed it. |
Goodvibes8:Dude, listen. A late relative's 3 kids were not his. He died soon after finding out. He gave the lady SUVs, a good life, etc. In fact he only found out when he wanted to relocate the family. The embassy needed DNA test. At the end the 3 kids belonged to two other men outside. So is it not better now to find out than for you to marry her and raise kids fathered by that sugar daddy? Since you know now that trust is an extremely scare commodity in dating these days or even marriage, in the future do paternity test on your kids. If they are yours, you are at least lucky. It might be hard and seem totally unfair right now, but cut your losses. You will be alright. |
GboyegaD:Feedback ke? Feedfront ni? And constructive on top too. ![]() 9ja thing will not allow round pegs go into round holes. Instead, they will use "who you know" to select judges. If you are not an experienced professional cook, you should be a judge on cookery shows. But this is 9ja. |
Rich culture |
ModelLook:This story is too long. If a woman disputes paternity test, let her do maternity test. If baby fails maternity test too it can be a swap by mistake or by design. If no evidence of swap, she can test if she has chimera genes. Simple. The vast majority of failed paternity tests are due to paternity fraud. Most women who did paternity fraud quietly go away. A late relative's three kids belonged to two other men outside. Seen it all. |
An inspirational story. |
Triangles1:I guess she is now getting money here and there. She wanted a rich guy but now making money herself. ![]() Otherwise, I can't make head or tail of her rant. I didn't see that she now has blokors or suddenly has XY chromosome. ![]() Good to admit that they are in a fierce competition with men secretly. Fact is, the more she tries to become a man, the more she becomes the woman that no man wants. Oh well, lesbianism is common these days. |
Brownygold002:Young lady, jealousy is normal. But if it is really becoming a problem and causing bad belle, tread carefully. You have to find a way to move on. It doesn't matter how humble you are, jealousy doesn't allow people to be rational. |
Efewestern:Okoro is not even a lost word. It is very much alive. Okoro means a boy. But most often used to mean Prince. Princes are still called Okoro till today. When the departed Oba Erediauwa was a student at Government College Ibadan, letters sent to him were addressed to Prince Solomon Akenzua. The white schoolteacher didn't like the title "Prince". The Oyinbo asked him what a prince is called in Edo language. The then prince replied: Okoro. The white man told him to ask his family/friends to address his letters/mails to Okoro. Apparently, the colonialist oyinbo thought that only Oyinbo princes should bear that title. The Oyinbo was ignored of course. ![]() I didn't make this up. It's in Oba Erediauwa's book titled: I Remain, Sir, Your Obedient Servant. In any case, I know at least a dozen Edo families whose surname is Okoro. |
Efewestern:Efewestern, Edema is also a bona fide Edo name. It may not be popular now that 90% of kids names now have "God" as the subject with the spread of Pentecostalism. Edema means "things are good" but literally "the day is good". Nothing to do with gentleman or whatever in the Edo context. I don't want to go into this old discussion. All the names in the list are common names in my part of Edo State. Not Akoko Edo but a part of modern Benin Kingdom. People need to travel and read a bit more before exuding so much confidence and spew whatever they like. |
nedekid:You are right! Late Abacha was said to have been very good at that. Remembering in very accurate details about a discussion you both had many years ago. He may ask after your son who was just entering secondary school back then. What he is now doing, etc. Irrespective of those leaders' many flaws or whatever, they certainly know the value of people they meet. |
An average woman only wants her hubby to focus on her children and her own relatives. Perhaps at times her parents-in-law just a little bit, not too much o. Aside those, may be one or two other in-laws if she likes them. Otherwise, no. If your wife gives off the vibes that your relatives are not welcome, keep your relatives away. Especially if they are not your parents. Help your relatives quietly from afar if you want peace. This is not a matter of SIMP. If you want to form "I'm the man of the house, I run things", wo, you will be surprised what your lovely wife is capable of. |
Stenewiser:And a wise married woman goes after other men? What is bad is bad, no matter from which gender. As a man in modern times, do paternity test on your kids. If they are yours, lucky man. You will get heart attack if you worry about other things. Polygamy is still practiced legally across 9ja. We must face reality of human nature. Everything has long dabaru since people began to date/have sex about anyhow in the name of modernity, before marriage. No remedy again. Even the most innocent-looking religious man or woman can be cheating left and right. Some us are in the position where we get to see the ugly secrets of many marriages. At Mineralz, sadly this is nothing new anymore. Millions of girls date married men. Sad reality of today. If you cannot continue with him anymore, just let go. You are not married yet even. No point making a scene. If he continues with the lady, he will get into big trouble soon enough. Don't be the cause of his trouble. Sorry for your experience though. Move on. Better things ahead. |
I hope she also has a ruler to measure the diameter of her bore-hole. |
Misterone:That's the hypocrisy. Some clergy people ready to marry people without family consent, claiming that faith supersedes tradition. But the same clergy will remember that they have a tradition when their own daughter is to get married. They also forget that the modern faiths they practice now come from other people's culture in the Middle East. |
Misterone:He can kill two birds with one stone by marrying pastor's daughter. Sense wee nor kee me. ![]() |
joyandfaith:I wonder, how can OP expect advice without telling us if it is JSS1, SSS1 or whatever? How do we judge what is appropriate for their year in school? |
odinson1:If that was the aim, it's dead on arrival. Because the DNA won't match the mother's either if switched at birth. Only poor knowledge of science will make anyone concoct such a story to rubbish paternity test. ![]() If a baby fails paternity test and the lady is sure she didn't cheat, then next step is to do DNA/maternity test if the child also belongs to her. The only known condition when a mother's DNA will not match her child's is in very, very rare cases called chimerism. A set of twins fuse in utero and become one person. Her ova/eggs may be DNA of her invisible twin that exists genetically in some organs of her body! Most doctors have probably never even heard of it. It is usually not mentioned in medical education. Only a few dozen cases exist/are known worldwide. So all these paternity fraudsters can't use it as an excuse. |
waterbrown24:For the first time ever, I will allow Lagos-Ibadan express media hype slide. This time, we 9ja people claim her. How can our wife not be part of us? ![]() We yaff Nigerianised Candace henceforth. ![]() |
davillian: You read my mind. My own on top your list, na work for another employer responsibly for 2 years without being sacked and have at least two kids. At least be married for 5 years without separation, domestic violence or divorce. ![]() Nor be to impregnate one girl, do sham marriage or bring one yeye grade from school just to get his hands on the money. Nor be blokos dem dey use manage business. The economist girl can do it better. Very wise man. The yeye boy go know say khakhi nor be leather. |
nerdjared:Very different. This jackfruit (the fruit) is much bigger than sycamore. We used to also call it breadfruit but when I saw breadfruit, it didn't smell strong like jackfruit. I always believed they are different varieties of same plant. We had several of this jackfruit plant back in the day. The smell is not great and it brings out a whitish fluid when cut. Some people even pound it. I never liked to eat it. In fact other people often came to collect the fruit. The tree can grow very massive. It's a delicacy in Caribbean Islands such as Montserrat, Jamaica, etc. The roast it and prepare it in several other ways. |
Iziduhjoseph5:Lol |
juman:If Nigerians were generally patriotic, the country would be like Singapore by now. Let's not pretend. 9ja is to diverse and leaders have played the people against each right from time. Pandering to ethnic and religious sentiments. We have no common Nigerian values and ideals that most (not even all o, just most) Nigerians agree on. So patriotism is difficult. People born outside of Nigeria and represent 9ja in sports see themselves more genuinely as Nigerians. Because they were not shaped by tribalism ( bit of racism in some cases of course) outside 9ja and grew up in more harmonious countries with a set of national values and ideals. RIP Big Boss. |
