seunmsg:Question should be: Did they submit a resignation letter to Buhari or SGF and did Buhari already accept their resignation? If YES, they must be re-appointed by Buhari and confirmed by the senate. If cleared to return to the FEC, they must be sworn in to begin a third tenure as ministers. If Buhari just accepts their withdrawal and retain them in FEC, it would be ultra vires under the law. Meaning that Buhari would be exercising powers beyond what the law gives him. Effectively exercising power of legislature and executive at the same time. Of course Buhari can claim that he was still pondering about accepting their resignation. Provided FG, through media aid, SGF or anyone officially speaking on behalf of Buhari/FG has not publicly communicated that Buhari has accepted their resignation. |
thejare:Unfortunately, it's not that rare o. Look, we are the men out there. We see things. As a woman, you can't be sure of what your female bestie could be secretly up to. Women don't divulge dirty secrets to fellow women mostly. No trust. Shey na we have dated women who then moved on to marry other men. At times relationships end due to many reasons, not necessarily because of bad blood. Innocent communication continues. Just before wedding, many girls are ready to still do the thing if any talk goes in that direction. Then again, around 3 to 5 years into the marriage, the whole thing may not pan out as they had hoped. Then some will be ready to play away. So as a guy, expect these things and be VERY careful and disciplined. At times you will be shocked by how little some women appreciate their hubby's good effort to care for his nuclear family. They complain to you a lot. At times because the hubby also provides for his relatives (siblings, mums, etc) and say he's spending too much on relatives. She wants more and more. These things opened my eyes a lot. You just cannot satisfy some women no matter how much you try. Bravo to good, grateful and supportive women out there. |
Iliveforever:Boded na cruise control Bolded maybe go fit land person for 10 years jail as this world dey turn to so o. |
Iliveforever:Well, since we cannot rule it out that anybody secretly is gay these days, then it might still amount to sexual harassment. ![]() Person cannot come and go and be bald again in peace. ![]() But the story funny sha. So nobody should mistakenly call any woman "angry post-menopausal woman or sex-starved woman" in the environment. |
purpleicious:locus standi |
victooman:NOI's hubby is a US based surgeon by the way. She belongs to a different generation of women too. No comparison. A relative's wife went to read law and left him for another man going with most of her kids. My relative happily encouraged her to return to school and paid all her fees and school expenses. She begged to return years later but she was so so rejected by my relative. A friend's wife also went to read law and began messing about later. She left with the kids too. Seen too many of it. Of course some woman remain loyal but getting fewer and fewer these days. OP, allow her do her master's degree. Since you are not going to fund it. But be aware that since you won't fund her degree, another man probably will. So get ready to move on. In fact you are 95% single already. Good luck. |
ayomilore:Do you think Nigerians are enjoying one 9ja? Do you believe that in 2033 life will be better for an average 9ja resident? Clue: is life better now in 2023 than it was in 2013? This begging for unity when your candidate wins and threatening break-up when your person doesn't win is very disingenuous. 9ja is not working and getting worse. No president can make it work due to its bad structure. We just don't have the institutions that work well for nation building. So we must be honest now and urgently restructure. If that means parting ways, so be it. |
Rgade:Werey! ![]() |
IamNat:See selective amnesia. So you are not aware that when crude oil prices went up, subsidy paid on imported petrol also went up, frittering away whatever extra money made from higher crude prices? When GEJ wanted to remove subsidy, Buhari, bullion van lord and people like you said that there was no subsidy paid by the govt. Now Buhari govt is talking bout extra trillions of Naira to fund subsidy due to increased crude prices. Bigotry and tribalism won't allow you people to be honest. If the constitution allows GEJ to contest again, it is up to him. Whether he is the way in or way out, let him be. It is not your contest. Let's kukuma dabaru the place since you people resurrected a mummy (as the way out) in 2015 to rule Nigeria. |
Gavinha:I nor dey move that way Don't make me move that way Me, I nor wan sleep for highway But the heavily pregnant lady move that way. ![]() Congrats to the lady! |
Gerrard59:Well, you may be right. I have read in many publications that he is a Christian. Same way I have read in many others that Yakubu Dogara from Bauchi State is a Christian. Although sometime last year or so, Zulum said that Boko Haram has all types of people as members. Including Muslims, Christians, Nigerians, foreigners, white people etc. CAN reacted strongly that there are no Christians in Boko Haram. I was wondering. I guess one has to be careful about these things. |
RoxyBrownAutos:But Northerners are strategic. They won't mind waiting for 4 years to get another 8 years turn. 4 years Southern presidency will give it a semblance of a fair North-South rotation. ![]() If GEJ is selected, the only downside is that Zulum, a NE Christian will lose out as VP. Because we cannot have a Christian President and VP. Many ambitious Northerners who cannot vie for VP or president now will prefer 4 years Southern presidency. Enough time for them to be ready. Northern first and foremost interest is getting a Southerner they can trust to handover to the North again later. GEJ did so in 2015 and the North might reward him for it. They rewarded OBJ in 1999 for handing over to Shagari in 1979. Southern politicians don't think that far back or ahead into the future but Northern elite do. |
Ivimmanuel:Don't you think that the minister of education, whose job it is to ensure that the education system runs smoothly should be pushing FG/finance ministry to honour agreement reached? Shouldn't FG get a minister of education who truly understands education system and how to work with lecturers? |
aspabay:9ia people don't care much about facts or knowing the role that each public officer plays. Labour ministry doesn't control the money to pay ASUU people. Even if Ngige, with all his flaws, manages to mediate and reach an agreement, finance ministry and accountant-general need directives from Aso Rock to honour such an agreement. Labour minister is one of the most difficult cabinet positions. People expect him to create jobs but he has no control over economic policy, monetary policy, commerce and industry. No control over infrastructure/electricity or other sectors vital to create an enabling environment for investment or economic growth that create jobs. |
byrron:Good idea. But let him spoil the party for those pee-poo people. ![]() A gentleman should surprise people sometimes with ruggedness. They fought GEJ to return power to the North, why should GEJ care if power returns to the North 4 years from 2023? If all these "lifelong ambition" people are honest, should power not go to SE in 2023? |
Bovis: ![]() Fact is, GEJ was already a president without scheming or telling lies about people. Young and not pooing or weeing on himself. ![]() APC goons who lied and insulted GEJ to enter power and only to fail woefully are the happy souls? Bitter souls are you, your ilk, your fellow bigoted goons and you lot who who cannot tolerate minorities in power. Yet you rely on resources from minority areas. So let GEJ lose, it is not your loss. Why take Panadol for his headache? ![]() FYI, when Bubu won, I immediately adjusted myself, stopped planned investment, etc. Because I knew he will ruin the economy again like he did in 1983 before his boys kicked him out. So my loss was minimal. I have no reason to be sad. But souls lost to boko, herdsmen, bandits and poverty/disease are definitely not happy with this government and those who foisted it on Nigerians. They haunt those who brought the disaster. |
byrron: ![]() GEJ would be very correct to do just that. But 9ja masses have been battered, bruised and impoverished by dictators, supersonic grade corruption and rot for decades. Most are easily manipulated and gullible. Add ethno-religious sentiments to the mix. GEJ would probably join them only if made a consensus candidate. He won't like to do rofo-rofo/mud fight primaries with agbero calibre lot in that party. |
emmykk:Because they thought that being gentle means stupidity. Cunning self-acclaimed sophisticated lot believe that others are not wise. They thought GEJ would do their bidding. Lifelong ambition man supported GEJ to protect his family oil and gas business and share of oil subsidy robbery. He duped Ribadu into being ACN presidential candidate but worked against Ribadu and his own party to protect personal interest. Is such a duplicitous individual the best to be Nigerian president? People mumu never do. When GEJ dared to suggest oil subsidy removal (their daylight highway robbery business), they turned against him. |
IDeyNL:I would have seconded your opinion whole-heartedly about 2 to 4 years ago. And it's actually the decent thing to do. But I now want GEJ to join APC and declare. Reason is that I don't want any desperados who betrayed GEJ and entire South, condemned his tough fight against Boko and organised paid protesters to oppose subsidy removal to now come and benefit. GEJ should come and ruin their selfish life-long ambition. Even if he doesn't win. If it means power staying in the North, let it be. After all it is those with "life-long ambition", even if to the detriment of 9ja and the South who robbed South and took it to the North prematurely. GEJ can always return to PDP after that if he chooses. People who see being gentle as foolishness need to be shown pepper now and then. No mercy. Simple. |
drlateef:Gbam! Her half-confession may have eased her guilt a little bit too. Her story is not complete. Na today? At Gentleman900000 , if you have any child or if a baby comes along in the near future, do paternity test jeje. My late relative, a good man who gave his wife a nice life and luxury, it turned out that all his 3 kids were not his. He died suddenly not too long after finding out. Be wise and don't be caught unawares. Even on that day, they probably kissed, romanced and perhaps were close to sex, but didn't happen yet. But it can happen next time. That cinema may well have been a hotel. Maybe she said cinema to give their hangout an air of being a public place. Nobody knows. Why go with changing clothes, is she a nurse, policewoman or in some job role that requires a uniform? |
Born2Breed:My dear, na serious bebeye dem use our brother play o. I believe he's a good guy who is rather naïve. Humans can be really naive when in love and kids are involved. Op, how can you catch a woman cheating and you retained her, to the point that her lover is even threatening your life? Are you not scared that she might simply poison you and story will just end naturally? As things stand, since the lover knew her before she married you, the kids or some of them may belong to the lover. What will you do with a woman who already has a baby for another man? In life, as painful as it might be, you have to sometimes cut your losses, dust yourself up and move on. Water will always find its level. If any of the kids are yours, they will look for you. Focus on recovering from the shock and gradually repaying your debt. |
chymeze:Don't worry yourself explaining. What they will tell you here on NL, especially ladies and simps, will imply that women can sleep around whether before marriage, while engaged or when married. That is what they want now. Anyway, any guy who doesn't do paternity test on their kids is a super simp. Trust is too expensive a commodity to afford in the world we live in now. |
Total evil. |
toujurs:Condemn evil and don't be a bigot. There are scammers everywhere. By the way, there is no single Benin person among those four scammers. None! Even an average half-wit should know that. If you were more level headed and experienced in life, you would know. When Billionaire kidnapper Evans was first kidnapping in Benin before moving to Lagos, everybody was shouting Benin boys, Benin boys! Until he confessed years later when caught in Lagos. Someone close was his kidnap victim. |
toujurs:. |
Dpundict:Just chill. Then do paternity test. Simple. |
BluntTheApostle:It is like workplace. Hardly anyone loves his/her job 100% but most tolerate their overbearing boss to be able to pay their bills. We all always find reasons to be resilient in the face of adversity. |
Gerrard59:Not necessarily. Lots of men are still happy to fund the union alone. I believe that it is in the interest of women to contribute economically as much as they can to the household. They actually earn respect by doing so. Any man ready to have a successful marriage cannot expect to work 9am-6pm just like his wife and yet won't help his wife slice even onions in the kitchen to make dinner. Assisting with house chores is not being woman wrapper. Especially if both are very busy with their work. We already know that there are cases where the woman is the breadwinner after the hubby lost his job. But stories of wife disrespecting hubby seems to be fairly common in such cases. Are these stories true or the man's loss of economic control is also an issue? Probably both, |
My observation is that both young men and women are becoming more and more ill-prepared for marriage. In life, nothing goes for nothing. We are currently caught between conservative African norms and Western liberalism/permissiveness. Men still want the tradition respect from the wife, while the women expect the traditional breadwinner role of the hubby and more Western freedom. It is easy to say of course, we now live in 21st century, we must modernise. But obviously this modernisation is causing huge problems. So, it's proving more difficult than we think. We therefore need a re-orientation regarding marriage, especially the youth. People should marry only when they are emotionally, economically and otherwise ready. If couples are not compatible, please resist societal, familial or religious pressure to marry. It is not just by age. Think even harder yet before you have kids. |
ursullalinda:Word on marble! Appreciate everyone and yours included. But many want to curry favour from others by dissing their own. Quarrel among yourselves by all means. Even siblings do quarrel. But settle it among yourselves. The minute your diss your own to please outsiders, you have completely rubbished yourself too. |
teekay213:Midgets, Inc. ![]() Very ludicrous thing. We are not Lilliputians o. ![]() |
Realists:But at least GEJ built 13 other universities (in all states that didn't have a Fed uni). Not to mention hundreds of GEJ schools to educate Northern Almajiris, including those in Buhari's backyard. Otuoke University happened to be the Fed Uni for Bayelsa. |
