So they are all just amendment bills to suite who? So nothing new. Just tweaking old stuff, perhaps even worse versions now. |
Eku recession o. |
Obinnau:Infact Istandwithbuharirecession#hardship They should enjoy the change o. If possible till 2023. After that the son of his late bosom friend Abacha should take over. Since Abacha was not corrupt, his son too will not be corrupt. ![]() |
See as im helmet resemble im natural gorimapa head. ![]() |
bettercreature:I have a relative who made good money from real estate business in Benin. Even before Abuja was built & still does today. Chose location well & build quality. You will sell at a decent profit. He joined Abuja property rush in the 1980s already & Lagos market but never left Benin to do business fully in those places. Benin receives one of the highest amount of money from Diaspora outside Lagos-Ibadan axis and a few other places. And most of it goes into real estate. |
Miles300:Tor! He was vice president for good 8 years. Yet he doesn't feel he failed his country's public school students. He established his own university as a sitting VP. While all they did was start Open University that hardly graduates people till today & their law graduates as far as I know cannot go to Law School. Instead of using his position & energy to serve Nigeria, he served himself. Yet Jonathan built 12 new fed universities under 6 years and trabalists & bigots said he did nothing. |
ObaKlaz:Very true. No matter what those who go astray are in the minority. Yet one caught and killed is too much. We should just be careful that innocent ones are not just framed up or made guilty by association for just being Nigerian in an often racist and bigoted world. |
Ok. Fine babes though. ![]() |
Gud pm Bami. How much will land 2003 Honda Pilot in Benin or Lagos? And how much will land Nissan Xtrail 2003 & Nissan Xterra 2003 also in one of the two cities above? Thanks very much. |
But congestion/overcrowding is not stampede na. But of course of gunshots were to go off nearby, stampede can easily follow. |
It may not be up to 15m. But wait o. All those Sultan & emirs buried in simple carpets, do they not reach where they are going? |
Boland:Boss will it fly for 1.5m? |
Many girls I come across at Oshodi, Mushin, Berger & other places are finer than these o. I cannot see Africa winning Miss World with this lot. I can only commend their slimness. |
PapaBrowne:Ntor! |
It seems a little mental health issue is present. Even if not present in the beginning, being out there for a long time could have caused it. She obviously needs help. Everyone can help a little. |
Na wa o. Very common sight in 9ja sha. You need to see them in country roads. |
sarrki:But how can they be returning Abacha loot? Did Buhari not say that Abacha did not steal any money? Was GEJ indirectly quoting Buhari when he said "stealing is not corruption?" Because Buhari's London Midland Bank loot was in the 1970s already. |
mikeapollo:Interesting. There are always several sides to a story. But I have heard that Kufuor was the first to do major projects since Nkrumah. The only suspicion I always had about complaints against Mahama is that he's a Northerner. I gleaned that from general discussion. Perceived as generally less educated. Although Mahama is a well-educated Christian Northerner. |
Unbeliever:Very true. Hardly any Ghanaian I have met has said anything good about him. Corruption, incompetent cabinet, wasting resources, poor performance are some of the things levelled against his government. They rate him way below John Kufuor. |
takenadoh:Perhaps. But consider Jabagan Borgu, Turaki Adamawa and others with fame. The title adds alot of verve to them. Consider also Esama of Benin. The title added much to his respect & popularity back in the early 1970s as a successful industrialist & businessman. Nationwide & beyond. Granted, the Esama title is granted traditionally to a successful, generous/philantropic, good looking, honourable and VERY NEAT person. As he's expected to always dress to impress & is often a key Oba's emissary. Esama/Igbinedion is rarely seen not decked in his chieftaincy attire. As for an honorary PhD, it is a pity that in 9ja we like to abuse things anyhow. It was & is never meant to be used as a prefix or title. In more civilised/developed countries, that is how it is. The right way to use it is: Mr. Lalasticlala Python PhD (hc). Mr. Moderator Happybanner D.Litt (hc). Mr. Ugliestboi Funbanner, DBA (hc). Etc. ![]() Never as Dr. Python or Dr. Happybanner. Because it is not an earned doctorate through research. But go and preach that to an average title-crazy Nigerian. |
dunkem21:Amazing how opaque this government is. Nothing like transparency. Do not be surprised if none of those bills has any direct positive impact on the masses. They could all mostly be bills in Buhari's own/cabal interest or NASS' interest. Just scratching each other's back. |

Orikinla:Abi o. I was expecting DBA (hc). Except he read for a science degree previously at a lower level. Being primarily trained in science. |
takenadoh:Almost same as what they do with non-hereditary chieftaincy titles awarded to people these days. Like Jabagan Borgu. |
Ask Atiku and you are good to go. ![]() |
wildchild1:Apparently FG has no money. Even ex-presidents have not been paid. ![]() |
We're in trouble. Both criminals & "normal" citizens now partake in savagery. |
My comment is rather late but... I want to still make it. Gerard's frustration with the less well off having many kids is understandable. Perhaps with fewer kids, giving them a better quality of most things would be easier & more affordable. Especially in a country without any social safety net. But then again, people see wealth or affluence or comfortable living from different perspectives. Therefore, what the govt can do is to encourage planned parenthood. Enlighten intending parents about cost of raising a child up to age 18 or 21 for example. Only a govt believed by parents to be truly caring (through solid social programs) can achieve that. At the end of the day, eugenics or any other demographic purification/enhancement program or anything close already conceived by the likes of Adolf Hitler 80 years ago is clearly NOT appropriate. The decision about procreation should remain with individuals in a democracy. |

This na original debtor o. Problem is all arrears still to be paid later. So why postpone it? ![]() |
