Samogbo1:So you think those ritualists know anatomy, bah? It is just superstition as you said. And ignorance wrapped up in a bag of greed. Even if they were told the cause, they'd still believe the cause does not matter. As long as the witch doctor says it will work. By the way, superstition is not limited to Africans. People in many continents believe sex with a virgin can cure AIDS and in many parts of Asia, some men believe that the bone of wild cats like Tiger, Jaguar & so are excellent aphrodisiac. In parts of China, an aborted foetus is cooked whole as a pot of peppersoup. Considered to be rejuvenating. Google it up if you do not believe. But you do not see Asians coming to denounce Asia or regret being Asians. |
Ok. I hope it endures. 9ja with mago mago & unpredictability. |
Very sad. |
kings09:I tire o. I wonder what the families of the fallen will think about this. Very insensitive. Especially from a retired Major-General. |
papaejima1:My brother, despite what zombies have been saying, we never had any doubt that GEJ's years of efforts to procure weapons finally paid off (after our frenemy Western "allies" refused to help) and Boko was going down before May 29th 2015. What people term Buhari effort was just the continuing momentum from GEJ's era. Once co-operation from neighbouring reduced and Buhari thought himself a superman and sent battle-hardened/experience and well-equipped mercenaries packing suddenly, FG began fighting the war only in the media & mouth of zombies & online. Especially Alhaji "General" Lai Mohammed, who told us Boko was technically defeated. As if he was the General at the war front. They were never able to fool us. Not in a million years. |
Even if lies fly in a supersonic jet, truth will overtake it one day. |
May their souls rest in peace. Buhari should really have been present here. Minister of health should have gone to Benin. I also wonder if with the presidential jet, he could not have done both same day. |
kenex4ever:I do not know how trure this is. You know the media has been so cowered now unlike during GEJ's time when press had freedom to report anything. In any case, in the early parts of 2015, after APC & others connived with America not to sell weapons to GEJ over the years, Russian weapons finally came and Boko was really going down already as of end of May 2015. Remember the same Buhari & opposition plus the West were always opposed to "negotiating with terrorists". We should also take note that Buhari condemned GEJ's combining with regional armed forces to fight Boko. Yet Buhari did same in power. It was even the foundation for pushing Boko hard from all sides. But is it just a coincidence that Nigeria is admitting increased casualties just as senior echelon Boko people were released?? My prediction here weeks ago was that those just released were taking vital intel back to Boko. Because NA & intelligence services have many Boko sympathisers. From recent developments, it might just be the case. |
ibroh22:Nice one. |
I cannot be sure but it does not look much like Oshodi to me. Maybe the place has changed a lot. |
greggng:RIP to them. But Boko Haram became possible because we have a country that should never have been. Those folks up North ought to be on their own as they were before 1914. By now they would have their conservative religious country & whatever they do up North because of their religious belief, a Southerner would not be getting killed for it. And Southern resources would not be used fighting the war. Same way, Southern issues like MEND & MASSOB would probably not arise & if it did, would be sorted by southerners in their own pre-1914 country. That is the point. You cannot mix oil & water and expect anything good. When people talk of patriotism I laugh. It does not exist as we see in the citizenry feeling disenfranchised and remorseless looting by politicians. Were our ancestors asked in a referendum if they wanted North & South amalgamated? No. So it is actually an illegal entity. Period. |
RIP Ma'm. |
onomeasike:The karma he's talking about is using lies to deceive people into voting an old man (Buhari) without vision. That has brought poverty, job loss and flight of companies from Nigeria. The man that thinks throwing out the baby with the bath water is a brilliant idea. In the name of fighhting corruption he has ruined the economic gains since 1999. So Tinubu deserves every rubbish they throw at him. Come to think of it, would scheming to remove a man (Oyegun) of nearly 80 from a party position be an achievement? Are people like him not supposed to be in retirement already? Tinubu's failure was to even support such an old man for such a position in the first place. Maybe he thought the man will just be taking instructions from him and not consider the views of others across the country. |
Wetin she for talk before? Remember oil blocks renewal is not far away. She got from previous heads of state. She has to align to retain. |
RadicallyBlunt:To begin with, you do not know my experience. I was preaching in the streets probably before you were even born. When it was not about money or daddy G.O this and that. I returned to Western church when pentecostal church became money business. At least whatever the flaws there, it is not a deliberate bazaar. The same Bible advises you to beware of false prophets. You pick one or two verses and you claim to be experienced. If you call all those who do not believe in profiteering from Christianity atheists, fine. Getting blessed for paying money gotten from you under false pretense? In a desecrated house of God? You are really gullible. Fact is tithes in modern Christianity are not biblical. Although I know that the failed education system won't let you under " modern" in religious context. |
INTROVERT:Abeg stop wasting your time. You know Radicallyblunt has no Biblical instruction in support of modern day tithe to refer you to. From his replies, he has even dismissed your Bible verses that God does not need them. He's even God's media spokesman now. Like most of these pastor followers, he's not really interested in the Bible directly, but in what the pastor interprets it to be. He even equates such an important doctrinal matter to a man who's not a farmer giving his wife money to go to the market. That shows his scriptural shallowness and failure to appreciate the magnitude of such false practice. The mistake many still make is to believe that in Biblical times, everybody was a farmer. Most were but some were traders, tent-makers (like Paul), physicians, lawyer equivalent, writers, and civil servants in Roman bureaucracy in Jesus time for example. etc. If non-farmers then were not required to tithe in cash, why is it the practice now? The idea of "na where man dey work, na dia e go chop" does not wash. We have no more Levites in modern Christianity once Jesus died & resurrected. Church members can support the ministry willingly but not under duress, threat of damnation & wrath of God. That is plain wrong.. |
Location? |
Ok. Not by force to go there. |
OK |
Nice. |
Thank God. Nobody seriously harmed. |
Flexherbal:I bow o. So what is the economically reasonable rate then? $1 to N1500 or what? What will a bag of rice or a bag of cement cost then? |
engrMikemd:But sadly not. Serious countries are meant to spend at least 10% of budget on education. Nigeria ought to spend around 15% to even make a dent on the decay. It was about 2% at some point. Now we hear 8%. But we still spend more on defence than education. |
naijacentric:Well, you think devil nor dey tire at all? A man carries his wife & five kids in an okada. He falls into a pothole. Serious accident. He might be a good person but poverty & ignorance make him risk his family's life. My brother, evil will still be blamed for it. |
I cannot see any African Christian being able to do all these. A pagan in the village who believes that being at peace & harmony with nature is what matters, can succeed in doing most. Who believes that nature in its wisdom has allowed both good & evil to co-exist as both have useful roles to play. That the main human concern should be seeking to make the cosmos align in a way that both good and evil bring one favour. That is, that good benefits one actively & evil simply stays away & not scupper the good tidings. Whereas for a Christian, he seeks to condemn & fight, cast & bind evil, even when evil siddon jeje. ![]() Therefore, he cannot be objective but meddle into things that might later upset the balance of things. |
Edwinmason:Lol. Fitness coach can only assess physical fitness for a match. When players are not returning from injury or other special situations, the assessment is just routine. I think the question should be why have players not been undergoing extensive cardiovascular health assessment at regular intervals, to be conducted by cardiologists & paid for/co-ordinated by their club sides. They do during signing/transfer medical and recently more regularly but not universal or extensive enough. Sure it would cost a lot of money for smaller & amateur clubs to screen every player regularly & extensively. BUT even after screening, an apparently healthy person can still collapse suddenly. Because screening cannot exactly replicate the stress during a match. |
People who heard this same story in the womb are now pensioners already. Yawn. |
zeribe4real:We have simply made everything a religious matter that the average African can hardly think freely now. And we abdicate much responsibility. Now imagine how many people have been saved by seat belts, better car engineering, traffic lights, rigorous driver training, adherence to highway code/driving rules & regulation in developed countries compared to lives lost in a place like 9ja where we are very religious but fail to do things properly? The thousands that die yearly in 9ja in accidents needlessly would probably have lived much longer in some other places. So your question is apt. Where is destiny in all these? Or we just want to console ourselves with something? |
GideonVIBES:You're kidding me, right? How can the govt allow that? 6 kids just die without autopsy? Sadly in 9ja we will just say : will autopsy bring them back? There was a case where autopsy was even done twice in 9ja. And the man was about 50 & and poison could not have been ruled out initially. Just in case the first was manipulated (nothing nor possible in 9ja), a second was done under much scrutiny. We cannot just be burying people who die suddenly, under suspicious or inexplicable circumstance without autopsy. It is a matter of public interest if a killer is on the loose or poisonous/contaminated food is in circulation. |
Na wa o. Many of us decided to just wish them HML and keep quiet. Hoping against hope that they succeed. Despite our skepticism back then. But alas! |
Nice one. |
I doubt if a man of God will say such. Until I see the video or a credible evidence. Can anyone please provide the proof. We do not want to be unfair to anyone. |
