Politics › Re: Zamfara Arranges Husbands For 2000 Widows by armadeo(m): 9:35am On Jan 06, 2013
mu2sa2: Govt "marrying them off" is incorrect. There are women, many of them with children but their husbands hav died, and there are many men around who are unmarried but wish to hav a wife. The govt does not force anybody into marriage. These eligible men and women agree to marry between themselves. The govt comes in only to support them with a little capital so that each couple is able to carry on without continuing dependence on govt. The officials of the govt agency involved also act as marriage counselors. If this is not a good policy in support of family and societal stability, what is?
U fail to realise that a high majority of the husbands will marry these wives for the short term benefit of whatever handout the state govt is giving them ( due to EXCRUCIATING POVERTY ) and @ the end of the road I divorce thee * 3, then the govt spends money again to marry of the divorcees.instaed this funds should be used to empower these women to be independent they will be better of. BTW the amount budgeted was not released to the public, did I hear biggy say gimme da LOOT.
Nairaland General › Re: Are You Ready For 2013? Take This Quick Test To Find Out! by armadeo(m): 8:36am On Jan 04, 2013
I happen to have shrinks as friends and a test they usually use for their patients is something like this with the overflowing water from the tap. Any one who doesn't turn of the tap first has something wrong upstairs. Its expected that in any sequence of events u turn of the tap first. I don't know of the relevance with sex but that's what it is. That being said my sequence is
52341
Sex ( I doubt it)
Family
Friends
Money
Work

I hate work man. Even when someone else is gonna do it.
Education › Re: Yobe State Has Zero Cut Off Mark For Federal School Entrance by armadeo(m): 10:55am On Jan 03, 2013
[quote author=eaglechild]This does not make sense.
It means all i need to do is state that my child is from Yobe state.
On the exam day, he just has to appear, stare at the ceiling and hand in his papers at the end and voila! he gains admission into a unity school.
Meanwhile if he states Anambra with a score of 135 he is kicked out!
QUOTA SYSTEM IS THE STRONGEST FACTOR THAT HAS LED TO THE DOWNFALL OF EDUCATION IN THIS COUNTRY![/quote

Thank u very much. U took the words right out of my mouth.BTW my kids. Won't go to the overglorified unity schools. Will send them to a nice private sch were they can be intellectually stimulated by brilliant minds instead of bufoons who will be around them on aCcount of quota.

i think i read somewhere in the post that the marked 40 mil was from cbn. now am glad that her mother has been released but this smells like selectivity cos i know lots and lots of peeps hard workers whom were kidnapped and coughed up thier hard earned cash y didnt cbn bring money then. selectivity.

solomon111: if the Nigerian market of these foreign car companies are threatened, they would be forced to come and invest in our power-sector to enable them manufacture in the country.
Afterall, the power-sector is already undergoing privatization.
Ridiculous suggestion. I"ll just power the plant and pass the cost to the consumer its not my place to provide power for ur country that's what's govts do.
Politics › Re: Are All Nigerian Leaders Corrupt? by armadeo(m): 9:50am On Dec 21, 2012
Nigerians by nuture are corrupt and indisciplined that is Y they resist any form of orderliness. Take the nepa staff for example who refused biometric data capture because of the ability to manipulate paper data. Take the police, pension board, any board, traffic offcials ur office peeps and the likes everybody is out to make a fast buck and these fast buck chasers are the same peeps who become leaders tomorrow then they look for the mega fast buck.
My point corruption has been made part and parcel of the nigerian mentality.

Pay tax u dodge pay 4 vehicle papers u dodge pay customs na bush/ river route, pay for luggage @ the airport u find someone else to carry it, every single thing in this nation is done sharply hence corruption dey kampe.

What we need is a visionary leader who will take us not where we want to be but where we ought to be. One who is ready to crush toes of friends and foes.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Police Disqualify SSCE, Third Class Holders From Recruitment by armadeo(m): 11:44am On Dec 18, 2012
Pidivine: for your information, I'm not a pass neither a 2.2 graduate. What is the rationale of sidelining people with third class. If we allow this, other organisation will adopt this evil scheme and that will not all go well for our educational system. It's a proven fact that a good number of chartered accountants today are people with third class or its equivalent who were given opportunity to start on the same level of exams with their 1, 2.1, and 2.2 colleagues.
My comment is not on the ability of a third class graduate but that of a 3rd class from the south is equal to a 2.2 or 2.1 from the north. I've met peeps in my specialty from northern universities and they earned their degrees. BTW I graduated down south.
Now am not against a third class graduate on any account but I really don't think I would give him and a 2.2 graduate the same chance cos the third class graduate as I said before WASN'T serious in school. So Y now come asd drag with another which showed some semblance of knowing what he was looking for in the university.
Concerning NPF as I said before paper degree is not their issue though as someone posted before and educated man is very much civil than an uneducated one.on that note I'll even go as far as saying anybody taken should be a graduate irrespective of grade cos the individual is still educated. I won't expect a pass graduate to behave like a primary sch cert holder in public.
My 2 naira.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Police Disqualify SSCE, Third Class Holders From Recruitment by armadeo(m): 10:34am On Dec 18, 2012
Pidivine: A third class in any university in the southern part of naija, is equivalent to a 2.1 up there in the north. This they know.
Bullshit.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Police Disqualify SSCE, Third Class Holders From Recruitment by armadeo(m): 10:33am On Dec 18, 2012
A third class graduate was not serious in school period. No excuse whatsoever since the grades are from year 1 to 4 or 5. So for 4 to 5 yrs u played ur butt off then failed.
That being said it doesn't mean a third class graduate is useless as I have seen some who are very capeable.
The NPF is more than degree they need good psychological evaluation were simple answers to questions will tell ur kind of person. The MIB need reforms reorientation and most of all good renumeration and insurance in the case of loss of life in the line of duty. Cos in naija today if funds are released for the upkeep of the family of a deceased policeman some 2yrs down the road we'll hear ?? Billion naira scam.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Might Be Unable To Finance 2013 Budget by armadeo(m): 10:51pm On Dec 14, 2012
Logic dictates that if we can determine how much fuel nigerians consume daily we can dictate how much subsidy would be paid daily. In other climes this wouldn't be an issue but trust naija, the absence of records is the presence of theives.
Personally I still believe that subsidy is a looting format used by GEj and cronies.
