i don't like the idea of one person doing same thing all over. the hubby that cleans, i don't like it to be him alone doing it. we can both clean together. both cook together.
cooking is the hardest honestly so ogbemi prefers to clean ooo, o di egwu grin

we can as well eat out at some fancy health conscious resturant and not me quenching in the kitchen all the time.

i love home chores, love clean home and an expert in the kitchen but i will not kill myself doing it all. na wetin? a fine gal like me cheesy

give mommy cogar work to do jor. that obe you missed, it's time to eat it.
will make a timetable for mama: monday ikokore, tuesday, obe ila alasepo, wednesday, iyan ati obe apon, thursday, efo riro, friday, iresi pelu obe atarodo. sat and sunday, i will help mama tongue

coogar:
if you work and your husband works, i see no reason why you cannot afford au pair.
i know rearing kids is a career on it's own in the west but then should naija women then degrade their men with these despicable chores?
when your mother-in-law is around, (after 1week, mama will be comfortable and proud of her pickin) is she comfortable with seeing your husband do the dishes and other feminine chores in the house?
men should help out but only with chores that are known to men - not washing undies!
yeah like fetching water from the river in Houston
i am from enugu!

so you have been "forming" good wife? cheesy grin

i really don't understand why you women think men are rabid dogs. is it even humanly possible for a man to wake up and start beating up his wife or maltreating her without any reason? majority of the stories we get to hear are half-truths. for a man to wake up and beat up his wife, trust me - that woman has done something very wrong! your husband will never maltreat you unless you sleep with his best man. grin
Family › Re: Is Marriage Worth It For Guys? by armyofone(m): 6:39pm On Feb 10, 2012
so primitive even cave man can solve that problem

grin

coogar:
haha - elaborate please.
a wife sacrificed her career for her hubby and the hubby got a 2nd wife? are there still men in this our generation marrying 2 wives?

i know how it works in america/uk/netherlands or everywhere else in the world.

so because you work as a surgeon, you would gladly sit back and watch your husband do your dishes, clean the house, wash your undies?
over my rotten corpse! i would easily spend the rest of my life in jail rather than allow such!
nothing wrong doing all that common. husband and wife should help each other, afterall it is their home.
Family › Re: Is Marriage Worth It For Guys? by armyofone(m): 5:36pm On Feb 10, 2012
Ofc most of the women are grateful. I think when the men start behaving like bush men, beating, refusing to join in housework etc then there is trouble.

the stress of working 40hrs plus is not funny.
Family › Re: Domestic Violence by armyofone(m): 5:02am On Feb 10, 2012
Yet, some guys on NL would call ladies against domestic violence 'female nazi'
and blame women who call the cops on their husband for pinching them bad girl wey copy oversea way of life.

I won't hestitate to call the cops on any son of adam. if my future husband dares, Jail will be his home.
May the woman rest in peace.
^ don't bother reading it.

it's a pointless, alarmist article.
it mostly talks about mail order brides (aka men going home to find cheap, subservient wives and then coming back to US to realize that nothing comes for cheap). na today? those kind of marriages have always and will continue to fail.
no be today o.
It's nice the women are learning grin

without good gpa, no oyinbo scholarship or grant for you. if i were to tell someone fresh from obodo something special, it would be focus on getting good gpa and forget working for now at least for the first and second semester or more.
it is hard combining working and getting that ''good gpa''. so focus on school. the good gpa will give you upper hand with internship too.
Travel › Re: Life In The Usa As A Student. by armyofone(m): 5:12pm On Feb 06, 2012
ummmm, David your 23 dollars for food not working for me at all. wheat bread alone  lipsrsealed and i eat one with flax seed too  wink.

OP, work hard and keep your 3.8 or 4.0 gpa . . . you will get some scholarships maybe more than 1 sef each could get you some addition 300 (note that they spread it out for the semester).

just go to your ISO (International student office) of your school. they got much info for you about SSN and jobs.
you can't work outside school, unless intern/coop. Campus job not bad. look for tutoring job. it pays better.
my first job on campus was working at the college cafeteria making sandwich then another dept making pizza. the pizza one funny. imagine working from 7-10am then running to class at 10am  grin grin with pizza flour all over, looking back i laugh  grin and the pay sucks cheesy
my next job was tutoring. not bad pay  cheesy

David, where do you shop? Aldi? 23 dollars for shopping? I like that. I shop at wegmans that's where most international students shop at too. i went with one to Aldi once, not like what i saw. 23 bucks that's not even enough for my pot of stew for the week (fish/beef, tomatoes, hot pepper etc). share where you shop at discount abegi cheesy

marriage is a game, we each play our part and accept the inevitable. i wouldn't say cuz i fear the nasty guys (like dayo, Saga and Harakiri) and then not marry. i tell you, if you find the right person, your song will be different. till then, keep spending your money on the pretty ones as they spend on you too, don't they? I'm sure they do  cool.

hope you are planning for Valentine. Don't stay lonesome on that day  tongue grin
