PoliticsRe: Which State Governor Deserves The Award For Best Performing Governor In 2013 by asha80(m): 4:28pm On Dec 25, 2013
Ngwakwe: Can you compare community healthcare system in Abia State to that of any State in Nigeria?

The State with the lowest unemployment rate in Nigeria where its remotest parts have something to export (goods and services) to either Cameroon, Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic or Congo DR.

What do you know about Abia State?

Tell me about Aba City
guy i thought you were actually being sarcastic when you mentioned orji....we know the potentials of abia economic activity there but you cannot be serious about t a orji's govt.
PoliticsRe: APC Platform Will Include Free Education For Nigerians At All Levels by asha80(m): 3:30pm On Dec 25, 2013
Afam4eva: I thought some APC people said some years back that free education is not a sustainable endeavor when Rochas launched it some years back. Why the backsliding?
depends on the apc guy you are talking to....lasu school fees was increased by a thousand percent.
PoliticsRe: APC Platform Will Include Free Education For Nigerians At All Levels by asha80(m): 3:24pm On Dec 25, 2013
do not really fancy free education at tertiary level...scholarship for deserving students is all that matters.
PoliticsRe: Sure-p Is Working : Road Trip Abuja - Lokoja by asha80(m): 3:11pm On Dec 25, 2013
agabaI23: Enugu Onitsha is still beggong for help however about a week ago, a huge load of construction equipment were dumped at Arroma after govt house.

There are many alternative routes inside Anambra and from Aguoka most motorist go by old road which is clean till 9th milè. Enugu Abakaliki is nearing completion. Abakaliki-Ogoja na sleeping mat mostly.
the construction equipment you see dropped at arroma junction i am sure has to do with anambra state government that has secured the permission to do the amawbia to amansea end of the highway...it was on the news someweeks ago....the umunya to amawbia end construction by the fg is still slow.
PoliticsRe: APC Platform Will Include Free Education For Nigerians At All Levels by asha80(m): 3:06pm On Dec 25, 2013
not sure education is free in rivers state owned tertiary institutions.
PoliticsRe: Which State Governor Deserves The Award For Best Performing Governor In 2013 by asha80(m): 3:02pm On Dec 25, 2013
Cuche: One Governor in the South East, told the world that Education was for the rich while the people were protesting the over 400% increase in the State's Univ. school fees
And SilverBird is nominating him as the best thing to happen in governance. Thieves
i am sure that governor slept with ur wife.
PoliticsRe: Hmm!!! Abia State Set To Build A Seaport by asha80(m): 12:42pm On Dec 25, 2013
Kponkwem: Igbo haters need not shiver 'cos the project is still in the works. However, even if T.A. doesn't deliver, which I know he won't, this is a masterstroke.

Akwa Ibom is building the first Eastern deep sea port at Ibaka, which is just 30 mins drive from Azumini in Abia State. So far Eastern ports in PH, Onne and Calabar are not with direct sea access and are mainly for oil, and light goods barges.

All T.A. Orji need to do is to open up Obuaku as a barge hub for Ibaka or enter another mou with Akpabio as he did on the Aba-Uyo expressway, to build monorail for cargo goods direct to Aba dry port from the Ibaka sea port. The dry port has been stalled due to inadequate FG incentive to private sector investors.

If this is not done I'm afraid the project may be higher than the state purse to begin dredging. Remember Calabar port is yet to be dredged over 10 years after it free trade zone and Tinapa.
about that mou on aba uyo highway nothing is being done on the abia section while the akwa ibom section is getting completed
PoliticsRe: Sure-p Is Working : Road Trip Abuja - Lokoja by asha80(m): 11:03am On Dec 25, 2013
taharqa: Have everybody noticed how vastly improved most of those terrible federal roads now are?? Every person I asked about their Xmas travelling this year have said d same tin. Everyone of them. It is not exclusive to this Abuja-Lokoja Rd alone (even though as sm persons hv said here, smtin close to a 'miracle' have happened on that road esp since d floods of 2012)....
not sure much change has occured in enugu onitsha highway.

PoliticsRe: Umuahia Welcomes All For Christmas( Photos) by asha80(m): 10:11am On Dec 25, 2013
Afam4eva: I really don't care much for Umuahia as it has no X-Factor. i wonder the day the state government will pay attention to the city of Aba.
forget it....heard he is 'punishing' the city inhabitants for stoning him with pure water when he came to campaign there in 2011.
PoliticsRe: Umuahia Welcomes All For Christmas( Photos) by asha80(m): 10:09am On Dec 25, 2013
Abagworo: Lol! I believe most parts of Igboland are either under-exposed to the art of photography or there is this fear of facing criticism that informs lack of pictorial coverage even on the internet. This is not applicable only to Abia but to other parts of Igboland. I believe Owerri is also under-represented even though one can get a handful of pictures.

I've gone to skyscrappercity.com and I find Aba, Owerri and Enugu covered with Enugu getting the most coverage and Owerri behind. We need to showcase Igboland in a positive light to the world.
where is this last pic located?

Warri _Pikin: Truth don take style dey fall out.
Shebi dem say the airport na for Aba business community? Why una come put am for Umuahia nah?
Is it not shorter to drive from Aba to Owerri airport than to Umuahia? SHM!
na so we see t a orji.....a big fool as a governor.

PoliticsRe: Oby Ezekwesili blasts Nigerian lawmakers for “disrespecting” Okonjo-Iweala by asha80(m): 6:17pm On Dec 21, 2013
IKEMBA NNEWI: You've just got to love this woman. Unlike the retrrds in her party she's objective in criticism or commendation. APC would have giving Apga a good run for their money if they had fielded this woman.
i do not ever remember ezekwesili ever saying she is an apc member.
PoliticsRe: Has Imo State Gone To The Dogs And Fast Becoming An Unproductive State? by asha80(m): 5:22pm On Dec 21, 2013
phantom: na wa o.......you anambrarians are very wealthy but you live really low quality lives....honestly! if you think the substandard projects obi has littered the state with is development, you are joking!!! peter obi CANNOT I REPEAT CANNOT hold a candle to chime. take that to the bank!!!!
i hope education got a facelift under chime because the feelers i am getting is not encouraging....i also wonder if nsukka masterplan has been drawn let alone implementation.

berem: yes I commented on the thread, but how often do you see threads about Ebonyi unlike how you see other SE states? The point am trying to make is the attacks on Imo State is very unfair and biased.
my dear only enugu that does not seem to get attacks though enugu seems to have a permanent thread on it...anambra gets attacks....imo gets attacks....abia states gets venoms not just ordinary attacks at least have u heard of any positive thread about orji's abia despite numerous threads about him posted by the likes of obinalihe, mecedonia and the likes?...let us be honest with ourselves.....moreover like i earlier wrote on this thread there is a 42bn negative difference btw 2013 and 2014 budgets in imo....it can only be as a result of forseen revenue dip in federal allocation or dip in internally generated revenue.
PoliticsRe: Has Imo State Gone To The Dogs And Fast Becoming An Unproductive State? by asha80(m): 4:03pm On Dec 21, 2013
berem: ...and also SilverBird TV. Infact Ugochukwu Emezue who was a former staff of STV is now the state spokesman of Abia state and there's no time he or Orji is not mentioned on STV.
Ebonyi is there and no one seems to be bothered about what's going on in that state. Everyone's focus is on Rochas because he is now in APC. What a shame!
i am sure achi4u will not like the ebonyi you mentioned here.moreover there is a thread here on ebonyi but i do think you commented on that that thread.

i guess imsg is trying to cut costs and is 'belt tightening'.....to be honest i am suprised that anambra state budget is now higher than imo's budget for 2014.....there is 42bn difference btw 2013 and 2014 budget estimates for imo state.

PoliticsRe: Onitcha Gra I And Gra Ii by asha80(m): 11:10am On Dec 20, 2013
Abagworo: That's unmistakably Aba.

It can happen in Aba and Onitsha. Get an undeveloped area and give the traders the masterplan. Construct good roads and central water supply. The buildings must not be used as offices but could be residential houses designed to look corporate. I can assure you that it wouldn't take up to 3 years to get filled up with clean buildings.
ok i thought you meant strictly public buildings like ministry buildings.
