it seems the catholic church is involved in lots of activities in anambra state. |
Cuche: That is why contractors should exercise some caution when called upon to spend their mobilization fees on things other than the projects awarded to their firmsshow me a link where the contractor claimed the money was spent on elections or keep quiet. |
biafranqueen: You want our people to get the contracts, but they need to take pride in the projects you execute. It irks me when I see Asian or Europeans getting the contract, but to be honest when you give it to a Nigerian company it always ,in my experience, ends up a waste of money and time. Maybe they need to pay attention to details I don't know why big projects are always looking unfinishedmaybe that is why foreigners are preferred in contract awards. |
biafranqueen: your right about that I know one lady her husbands company received a multi million dollar contract to build something for the Government, she took her whole family for 2 months to the states, she was even telling me how they are really doing so well now, which I was not surprised because her husband was a Party Chairman two years ago, so at the rate she was spending money I asked her what's up she told me about the new contract. When I saw the finished project I spoke to her about it and we exchanged heated words. She called me an enemy of progress imagine thatlaughing at enemy of progress part....our mentality at times is warped. |
Zona.com:and some people believe it should not be explored now? |
MajeMedia: Ogba waterfall, Owerre-Ezukala, Anambra.this kind of place exists in anambra? |
IKEMBA NNEWI: Most times i just wished Chime had funds @ his disposal like Governors of Anambra and Imo, He has a vision, that's been stalled due to paucity of Funds. He knows what development is all about, if this man had access to the Kind of Funds Akpabio uses for Misplaced priorities, Enugu would be competing with cities like Phoenix(Arizona) by now.master plan for nsukka urban should have been done by now. |
it seems ebonyi and abia are getting deep into agriculture....what is left is mechanized farming though. |
hmm face that article you posted is an eye opener....i just hope abia gets a more competent government to manage its affairs.....are you telling me umuahia going industrial?....i only know of saclux paints....and when is that geometric plant going to start self??.. |
achi4u: you are right. Abia and Anambra state remain the power house when it comes to economic activities no matter what their igr figure says.i have always believed because of the settlement pattern in the south east it is not wise to concetrate infrastructure development in one big city or the state capital.ThankGod ebonyi has learnt that with the building of roads and bridges all over to make the inner villages and towns accessible. |
Dj zzyzx: pacific complex[img][/img]what and where is this? |
biafranqueen: I did not even see this quote you too have a feeling that this is a white elephant project so why the yabbingi put it in quote because that is what people generally term this kind of projects...it has nothing to do with what i feel. |
biafranqueen: That is all fine and dandy, but this should not be the top priority for Anambra State Asha. If you want to build a hotel so that business people can come here and do business that is making sense, but for tourism, which is a usually a family attraction, we still have safety issues that need to be resolved. When it comes to business a person can take all types of risk to embark on increasing profits. The main road to this hotel that would bring tourist is not even ready to carry them. Or is that part of the plan give them whiplash so they can use spa services.how do you know if the road is not being constructed or already exists?if i am not mistaken too there are bridges linking this hotel to agulu lake that the present government is construction...there is no harm in developing all sectors that can genrate revenue at the same time. |
the issue is that every state should maximize every potential that can bring in revenue to the state whether from industrialization, agriculture, mineral resources, commerce, tourism, entertainment and so on...we should not be one track minded...after a great percentage of kenya's revenue is from game reserves and national wild parks. |
biafranqueen: What will the tourist do as far as attractions? Just visit caves?for someone who has lived long in usa i find it funny you are asking this question...why do people visit rock of gilbralter....no be to see rock?why do people go to game reserve....no be to watch animals? |
Zona.com:ogbunike cave really needs something like this....however the problem is are private sector guys willing to undertake such? |
phantom: oga you are smarter than this.please no fall your hand here.peter is one of our leaders in the south east.he is our son.we should be able to criticise constructively.now let me ask you in your heart of hearts, is this a project the state govt should be undertaking? Please be objective.arent there more important things? Honestly we igbos have learnt tribalism for others but we seem to have overtaken those who taught us.the oduah case readily comes to mind.guy if for anything people hve been criticizing obi for doing 'simple things' instead of 'white elephant' projects like this. |
AKUNWATA1: MY BROTHER, IF YOU SEE AS APC THUGS TAKE DEY PLANK NLC/TUC MEMBERS EHEN. CHANNELS TV UNA WELLDONE OHsaw that on channels but not who was planking who. |
basilo101: aba may be d 1st naija city 2 enjoy 24/7 power. Geometric (Barth Nnaji) is abt completing d aba power plant. Nestoil (Ernest Azidalu) is also building one in anambra, Indigeneous entrepreneurs noni. Development is nt only abt govnorsi thought geometric power plant has been completed? |
Malawian: honestly this is the first time i am seeing those barges in action. i had always wondered how ships can berth at that river port and then turn around especially with the port situated after the head bridge.seeing them in action?when did you see it? |
Abagworo: I still don't think there's anything wrong with that. There's crisis in Plateau because of Nigerian politics of tribalism and. Religious intolerance promoted by PDP. They campaign with tribe and religion and in that process cause disunity. Today they are doing Owerri vs Orlu in Imo State even though they are all Igbos.funny you are now saying judging from what you used to say prior to 2011 elections in imo where you said that okigwe zone be allowed to finish its four years through ohakim after orlu zone was 'allowed' the same time for udenwa.https://www.nairaland.com/asha%202/posts |
Controversy: I hope you will still say the same thing when they start unleashing mayhem in the state with their cowpeople that unleash mayhem with their cows are fulanis not hausas and that one has been happening for sometime now. |
donphilopus: I love the comments I'm seeing! If you check the number of Igbos in other part of the country, the OP won't spew this trash! They used to say, anywhere you go, and you do not see an Igbo man and Egbira man there, better run from there.egbira man kwa? |
Abagworo: Only Abia State has significant Hausa population in the East. Infact there are more Hausas in Umuchieze than the indigenes and we've never heard them complain but rather they tap into the increased business activities brought about by the high Hausa population.umuchieze in which local goverment?.......op please let us tap into whatever biz activities the hausa bring.....after al igbos are also much in other lands. |
ilugunboy: You are asking me? When your leaders refer to people without any shade of evidence as Boko Haramist or and labeled a whole party as Islamist party...you think the adherent of that faith in the party will support your cause in NASS?i thought ngige is in apc?so apc guys in the senate will not support him if he drafts a bill because of what some people in other parties said?do you know what you are saying sounds? |
ilugunboy: Let him try the draft bill....if it will ever get pass the first reading before being thrown into the bin.guy who is insulting who? |
invest-now2013:have you forgotten a bridge is supposed to pass east west road that crosses the river niger around bayelsa axis that is if a bridge has not already being built?even if it has not being built how high are they going to raise it to accomodate large ocean liners? |
invest-now2013:guy big ocean liners cannot pass under those bridges simple.it does not matter where you locate it. |
egift: So it has come to a time in Aligbo that hiding behind people, being a servant of a "big man", and being a stooge is Hailed as gallantry (like Obiano/Peter Obi). While being bold and courageous enough to be a man of yourself, serving the masses and resisting those that loot our common-wealth (like Ngige) is viewed with distaste?i guess being bold in rigging 2003 election and courageous in establishing 250 million naira vip toilet? |
what do we make out of this news now?either efcc or imsg is lying. |
the rate of vandalism in that area is quite high....it was even highlighted during the nggt tour of anambra earlier where it was complained that electric wires that bring power to that area were vandalized three times in two years |
achi4u: ^^if what you said about elechi extending infrastructure to all the villages and inner parts of ebonyi instead of concetrating only in the capital alone then it means he knows what development is all about...like i keep saying i do not believe in making a state capital or one big city in a state eldorado while just three km out of the state capital you would be hit by images of the 19th century....secondly i do not believe in government running football clubs. |
