PoliticsRe: The List Of New States To Be Created In Nigeria Approved By The CONFAB by asha80(m): 10:18pm On Jul 04, 2014
HNosegbe: If we required each state to generate its own revenue from its resources rather than sharing money from Abuja, would we still have the current clamour for more states?

That said, I don't support state creation anywhere in the country, with the exception of Southern Kaduna.
why southern kaduna?
PoliticsRe: Gov Okorocha Reacts To Charly Boy's Humiliation by asha80(m): 4:08pm On Jun 29, 2014
. Did Rochas announce to the world? That's what I meant by Rochas did not make any comment about that and I also made it clear that Imo Government assisted the Oputa family. The issue is whether it was politicized by Okorocha which he didn't . That the Bishop asked Okorocha to speak after Anyim and Charly boy refused does not mean Okorocha politicized the burial or do you have any other reason to assume that?[/ letquote] let us not play semantics here...the media assistant told the world that imsg government which rochas represents gave the oputa family 20m...unless you are trying to say that media assistant made that announcement without the governor's approval....imagine that this scenario emanated from the fg and try to see someone saying jonathan did not come out to say he did.....as for the politicization of the burial did you read the second article i posted?that one happenend on wednesday...secondly it was said charly boy grabbed the mic after rochas made some cooments...have you tried to find out what those comment were before you assumed it is because massess were shouting 'owelle' that annoyed charly boy?
PoliticsRe: Gov Okorocha Reacts To Charly Boy's Humiliation by asha80(m): 3:40pm On Jun 29, 2014
Abagworo: . He didn't make such announcement and Charly boy did not deny it either. Oputa family actually got financial and moral assistance from Imo Government and it is not to be argued however Charly boy misbehaved. The reason he did that I believe is because of "Owelle!" that most Imo citizens hail Okorocha whenever and wherever they see him. Maybe he thought they were APC members or something. Anyone who has been in a gathering or even on the road when Okorocha is passing won't help but notice the scream of Owelle! by Imo masses on sighting him.
your first two statements are contracdictory....as for whether imsg announced to the world that it gave charly boy 20m for the burial read this http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/06/imo-warns-oputa-family-politicising-burial/.......as for what charly boy did to rochas has he occured to you he did not want his father's burial to be politicised?who does not know that charly boy is a maverick...in fact after what that media assistant to rochas said in that article i posted it is funny not to expect a funny move by charly boy....http://247ureports.com/?p=53676&cpage=1
PoliticsRe: My Take On Stella Oduah's Fake MBA Degree - Femi Fani-kayode by asha80(m): 7:38pm On Jan 07, 2014
cramjones: I wonder if our igbo brothers and sisters will allege that all those that condemn Stella Oduah's shameless lies and false declarations, under oath, before the Nigerian Senate that she acquired a masters degree from some second rate American university are nothing but "igbo haters" who have a hidden agenda?

Honestly, this woman, this government, this President and all those that support them are an utter disgrace to Nigeria and to Africa. Even with all this I assure you that our President will not be able to muster the courage and decency to be firm and decisive and to fire this vampire Minister. And we all know why though we dare not say it.

We are a nation that is being governed by a bunch of scammers, cheats, liars, rogues, 419ner's, adulterers and ritualists. May God rid us of this evil and shameless government with it's inner circle and tiny cabal of desperate, heartless and greedy Jezebels
hehe you have proved that you are indeed ffk.....stella should just resign though.
PoliticsRe: What Did Azikiwe And Michael Opara Do by asha80(m): 6:55pm On Jan 07, 2014
kel4soft: With the derivation from Agriculture proceed accrued to them pre-state era i.e during regional government.

Why Awolowo was busy developing the Western and mid-western region with University and free education and creating institutions for them. Our so called leaders (Eastern region) then was busy collecting tax and oppressing the minorities (Ijaws, Ikwerres Efik etc). They made sure the minorities suffer. When my Grand Dad, a fisherman then, sail all day and night only for him to be apprehended by this selfish leaders at the shores for unnecessary tax without providing any amenities.

Awolowo helped in establishing the University of Ibadan in 1948, it took Azikiwe and Co more than 15years after to established a University in the eastern region, even later than Ahmadu Bello University.
They seized all our lands in Port Harcourt, imposing heavy fines on our people.

They (Zik and cronies) only developed the Igbo region ala Enugu. Citing all FG structures there. PH and the rest were left to the mercies of God. Untill Gowon created Rivers State in 1967. Your Azikiwe made sure the minorities suffered for been part of you people.
......................................................................

Now you want us to join you to actualise Biafra, do you can resume your fore fathers stopped. No way! No way!
first and foremost you are fool to say awolowo helped establish university of ibadan...secondaly find out who established transamadi industrial layout....you are a classic case of why the belief that nigerians do not read...stop displaying your ignorance in public.

Nnewi1stSon: why are you brainless? Did you investigate the poster properly to ascertain if he's Igbo, talkmore of being from Nnewi? You should know when people impersonate other tribes just to try and create disharmony! I'm from Nnewi, and i can tell you authoritatively that obi has done much in Nnewi! Ask Chicason,Innoson and others how he created enabling environments for their businessess to flourish! Today, all vehicles purchased by Anambra state Gov't are of Innosons! Nnewi township road have all been tarred( although i believe they need to be dualised), Shoprite is Opening there soon courtesy of Obi and so many other goodies! Only a corpse would say Nnewi isnt benefitting from Obi's Govt!
And as to your arguement about Nnewi indigenes not developing their town, i'll ask you a simple question, ''What did you think made Nnewi what it is today''? While other Igbos run to Lagos to invest, nnewi indigenes believe in the mantra that ''Charity begins @ home'' all the industries in Nnewi(Chicason producers of plastics, tiles, cables e.t.c, tummy tummy(noodles), innoson(car manufacturing),Ibeto(cement, importer),Coscharis(car biz) etcetra) are owned by indigenes of the town!
Nwanne next time put you caveat on your mandibles when talking about my town! Da'alu so cool
i believe sealedeal is from nnewi...i know because i personally engaged him in the run up to anambra elections....he was campaining for ifeanyi ubah...you can check his previous posts.

Andre Uweh: In Imo state, Owerri, Orlu, Okigwe and Oguta are the chief towns. but there is a town rapidly developing in Imo state. It is at the border of Imo state and Umuahia. It is Onu Imo in Obowu LGA.
i am sure it is due to that industrial market newly sited there.

Afam4eva: I guess any place with at least a bank, school, tarred roads, hospitals, electricity can be termed a city especially in Nigeria.
django1: There's no definite definition of a city anywhere in the world. One can only set a couple of parameter and decide which settlements meets them and designate them as cities.
For example, we can decide to say, any settlement with a population of over 20k is a city or a settlement with more than 5 secondary schools is a city. So, there's really no hard and fast rule on which settlements is a city or town.
If we set a particular set of rules right here and now, we can now start eliminating some cities to town and towns to villages.
Afam4eva: I guess any place with at least a bank, school, tarred roads, hospitals, electricity can be termed a city especially in Nigeria.
i think we should also throw in some level of economic activities.

Afam4eva: I think there should be a precise definition of what you term as city. What makes Onitsha, Awka and Nnewi cities and not others?
is he talking about towns or cities by nigerian definition anyway?

Apart from the significant role of Imo indigenes in the ICT, Imo indigenes also hold the highest stake in both formal and informal sections of pharmaceuticals in the trade and manufacturing areas.

I tell all these people writing trash about factories not being in Imo to watch their mouth because Imo will soon be bombarded with pharmaceutical industries in the Orlu area. The infrastructure is being put in place to encourage these people to come home and invest. Also watch out for the ICT sector.
wish they pointed where the zinox owerri facility is sited.

eldoradoxx: It is people who don't understand the nature of politics in Delta nay Niger Delta as a whole that give Utomi any chance of winning even his LGA. In Delta,it is a politics of do or die, in Delta it is a politics of war lords backed and supported by enough brutal cultist carefully selected and bred to unleash mayhem on anybody that stands on the way of their sponsor. In Delta, if u re refined like Utomi avoid politics because for merely expressing interest, you but your father, your mum, your wife and kids and siblings in danger. In Delta and South South generally it is brute force and gangsters that control politics, that is why militancy would always remain. If you can't detonate bombs and dynamites don't even come close. I recall an election in 2007 where my close friend told me how a house belonging to a political opponent in an election for legislature was blown down with dynamite on the eve of the election and the guy went into hiding thus allowing the other candidate and his brutal thugs opportunity to rig massively. Wonder why PDP gets more than the total registered votes in South South? Have u ever seen detailed live TV broadcast of elections in Delta or South South? So Utomi can't withstand the brutal and devilish kind of politics my people play back in Delta state.

ba7man: It will be Delta State's loss if they let this chance to elect a Technocrat like Utomi pass them by.

So its Uduaghan and his cronies that are now the "MEN" in your Political perspective??
utomi can overcome the 'MEN' in delta state by leaving lagos and coming to delta today to live and sell his ideas to the electorates by going to the different towns and communities to communicate with them...i do not mean going with praise singers or artistes...people at the grassroots that make up majority of the voters vote for who they know and have seen or identify it...things like a technocrat does not make sense to them because they do not understand it in the first instance.
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi To Run As Delta State Gov In 2015 by asha80(m): 6:32pm On Jan 03, 2014
atlwireles: PDP for all intents and purposes, is trying to zone the gov's office to the Northern zone. There's nothing wrong with that. IBB choose the capital not IBOS. The political leaders of the Northern zone must now present a candidate the other two zones can support. I dare say, Utomi does not have a chance in that process.
guy forget utomi can win if he decides to relocate to delta today and start going from one community to another and engage and enlighten them on what they can benefit from his administration...i do not mean normal campaigns here where you bring praise singers and musicians.
