somehow i think this is a blessing in disguise.why?well it now means okorocha is fully in apc now(more on his own).now knowing that apc has some issues getting grounds in the south east it means okorocha has to work harder to prove that apc is it and in the process imo state and citizens benefit from it. |
this is a joke right? |
otokx: take a look at Kano.that is happened in kano is no guarantee it would happen in enugu.moreover when it comes to domestic flights enugu entertains more flights than kano.i would have shown you the links if not that i am typing with phone.let ethiopan airlines try the direct route first and if it is not lucrative then they can try your suggested route.my main concern is the condition of expressways that lead to enugu. |
otokx: how many people truly fly thru Enugu. Ethiopian airlines will do an Enugu - Abuja - Addis Ababa - Final destination hop.funny question..how would you know if it has not been tried? |
donroxy: Am sorry brother, am used to writing Informal issues like this with exclamation @ the end of each Paragraph ..... Such has always been my style of writing on Nairaland !!!guy i am not against formation of party or mega party.it can engineer good government we have equally matched parties.all i am saying is that when it comes to decentralization it is a different ball game that cannot be changed by mere change of president or even any so called debate in the assembly if you know the interests benefitting from present structure. |
Obiagelli: I do not think we need crises to solve that problem, a sincere constitution review would fix itsincere constitution in present day nigeria?who is going to do the changing?the same politicians u and i know?do you know the kind of people benefitting from this lopsided federalism we are practising?you think they would just sit down and watch the guys the assembly do that(that is even if they want to).i know you like idealism(i was once like you) but my eyes have been opened after years of research about nigeria.sorry in nigeria ideal things do not happen but pragmatism. |
donroxy: Asha, I just feel like bringing to ur notice that 1966 crises,Selected mayhem and the progrom that followed was what Balkanised our nation till today !!!putting many exclamation marks to emphasize point does not mean anything.bringing the nzeogwu, aguiyi ironsi's role during that era is irrelivant to what i am postulating.my point is that the country would have to be in some sort of crises that would bring every nationality that make up the country to discuss the future of the country in which decentralization would be in the forefront of discussion.the only times that the country was inthis sort of situation was in '66 and june 12.that is my opinion so let us agree to disagree. |
saintneo: ^^^ don't be deceived by money. A true business mogul does not give out without reason. Uba is seeking to siphon the Anambra treasury.you dey mind the two guys above you.they seem to be carried away by splashing of money.woe betide anambra if this man wins the governorship election. |
has anybody wondered whether the education we are getting in nigeria is 'nigeriacentric'? |
agbameta: Major goods and services including project construction materials travels to major economic zones experiencing major economic and constructon activities and this doesn't exist in the east.it is obvious that you ignorant of eastern part of the country.continue displaying high level of ignorance for everyone too see. |
Sirniyeh: .believe me there has to be a serious upheaval for decentralization to be considered in this country again.it is not a question of party....it is a question of mentality and perception. |
Obiagelli: NOT necessarily truei am not sure you are aware of the view of northern elites when it comes to decentralization issue.even if buhari tables it it has to go through national assembly(we are not in a military rule)...well guess the region that has the majority in national assembly?of course the north. |
AfricaFace: Can't even understand this Soludo of a guy... his I too know attitude that threw him out of CBN is dragging him into another mess.. from one party to another... what is he looking for.. I thought he is just an academician...my ANamabra people , please don't be deceived by this guys big English.. for his 3 or 4 years in CBN... he couldn't bring any commercial bank branch in his home town.. now he wants to bring Dubai..China branch in ANamabra... he can only be useful in world bank..if there is still space there'he couldn't bring a commercial bank to his home town'....what a mentality! |
Sirniyeh: Congrats to myself!i doubt that decentralization would occur unless there is an upheaval in the country equivalent to '66 crises or june 12: |
rareman: Now that we are here, what can we do to help, it is obvious that majority (including me) here want him to be the next governor of Anambra state. But we must go beyond the euphoria of joining APGA and work towards his success, not only at the election also when he finally assumes office.good point. |
kingbang: Obi's relationship with GEJ assures that! Trust me, there wont be much opposition to Soludo's candidacy from APGA faithfuls.just heard that ekwunife has folded her campaign for soludo. |
kingbang: Heard he was promised a ministerial slot. Anyway i think he realized it will be difficult for him to defeat Andy Ubah and Ngige. Soludo's candidacy is a masterstroke by APGA. WE ROCK!!!if they have that kind of agreement then better(not sure how it is going to be done though without gej approval).everyone in the fold hasto be kept happy. |
kingbang: Word has it that Obaze has been told to stand down by Obi. (I am a card carrying APGA member anywayi wonder how obaze is going to take it.it is like walking on egg shells.obi really needs all the political sagacity he can muster to wade through this because he was the one that championed this anambra north of a thing. |
giles14: soludo i knw u hav won d eletion already, but b4 u start wit anambra's money pls devlop osha and nnewi cos revenue gotten from dis two cities combine is bigger dan dat of lagos.and by d tym u ar tru our igbo brodas wil not tink twice about relocatin back ot d eastguy get real with that your osha nnewi lagos comparision. |
ITbomb: Uyo-Ikot Ekpene : Yes, already some part are near completionsmh at t a orji......though i remember readind last week that abia and akwa ibom states have agreed to allow a private firm construct that road(whatever that means).it was on guardian newspaper and it was posted here. |
mojounited: Lol, overtake Dubai..Dude seriously? #Pass me whatever you're smoking broare you sure about JB dualizing aba-ikot ekpene road? |
i find that line about lagos destitutes moved back to lagos from akwa ibom.....how remotely true is that? |
homesteady: I went to country mall in kano yesterday!! And as usual, there were plenty people, except in the pop corn and shawarma joint! And I heard that place is soooo full in the evening time!!maybe the people buying stuff in kano are southern christians...you there is a high population of southern christians in kano. |
op where in the article is it written that the presidency is interested in the candidature of soludo? |
ilugunboy: Unfortunately.. these set of one-way traffic religion people (catholic xtians) from the SE will feast on this news ...not acknowledging the fact that Ibadan with a huge population of Muslims will drive down the sales in shoprite at this period of the year.is that muslims do not buy things during fasting?i mean even after fasting hrs? |

It's good to be optimistic, but you're wayyy overboard with your optimism - not when Naija politicians are at the helm of affairs...
