Even a little child on the streets can tell you how the elections will go 2019. As expected, Buhari will run again under APC. Us in the SS/SE will once again reject him like we did in 2015. The entire North will again come out to support their 'son'. Yorubas have already put all their eggs in one Basket and have no choice but to continue with APC. Either way, Buhari will win a second term to complete his 8 year torture of Nigerians. By the end of Buhari's 8 year rule of pain characterised by Militancy, Biafra agitation, herdsmen attacks, Islamic fighters and general unrest, even Yorubas will have given up on Nigeria. There will be a general consensus of that power should return to the south and particularly the SE, being the only zone in the South yet to produce the president and that's when Nigeria will explode! |
eyeview:SW/NE/NC/NW Us in the SE/SS knew about the man's antecedents. We knew he had nothing to offer. A Leopard never changes its spots. The man has been a disaster of a leader right from his days as Governor. Oh well, the good thing is that we no longer hear 'Sai Baba' any more. |
mutvy:Why will the Governor of Texas have a house in Awka when Nigeria cannot guarantee 24 Hr light, good road, portable water or adequate security? If you were Texan, would you go and build a house in such a place? Obiano was living in this palatial residence enjoying his retirement having worked for many years in the Banking and Oil sector. Then Governor Peter Obi dragged him back to Nigeria and made him Governor. |
SuperS1Panther:Oh that's good. It's good that when people say something, they back it up with facts. However, I don't usually take the Southwest or Yorubas seriously. Anyone, or people, who say they are great but can't stand on their own, eternally looking for 'one Nigeria' are not to be taken serious. Whenever the SW start talking about Oodua Republic, we will know they have come of age. |
OmoAjowa7:I keep hearing this "Ondo has Oil". Can someone tell me which community in Ondo that has Oil? Where is Oil drilled in Ondo and by what Oil company? Using SE as an example, there is Orient Oil drilling in Otu-Ocha, there is Agip in Ohaji-Egbema, Awaza community. There is She'll in Uwka-East in Abia state. So can anyone tell me where Oil is in Ondo and what Oil company is drilling there? |
Ifeanyi is stupendously rich. I remember when he was removed as boss of capital Oil and Gas. He simply said: "Capital Oil is just one of my many businesses" Nnewi born Billionaire |
sweetgala:Bianca said that she has never met FFK in her life. FFK said they had a relationship. It's not a new thing for men to claim to have slept with women they didn't sleep with. As for the woman who claimed to know abiut Bianca and FFK, she has since been exposed as a mentally unstable person who's testimony cannot be relied on. If FFK and Bianca did have a relationship, I doubt if Bianca would say she has never met him. She would simply have said they were just friends, nothing more. I still believe that Bianca Ojukwu has never met FFK like she claims. |
michaelandre:Niger Deltan? What is that? A new type of Suya? There is no tribe in Nigeria called Niger Delta. Just because one person says something in Cross River does not everyone there is saying the same. Everyone will eventually get the opportunity to decide what they want. |
michaelandre:Until the day all these areas elect you their official spokesman, you should shut up and let them decide for themselves |
fratermathy:Biafra isn't about the elimination of corruption, nepotism, porverty etc. Biafra is about freedom and self determination. The elimination of those indices you mentioned will come "after" Biafra reaches fruition. The leaders of the South Eastern States might turn out to be leaders in Biafra but the difference is that it will be a Biafran dispensation, not a Nigerian one. The might get away with blue murder in Nigeria because Nigeria Is a faliure, but they can't in Biafra In reality, Biafra will be exactly the same or even worse than NigeriaIt is highly presumptuous of you to make a statement like that when Biafra has not been given a chance yet. Just because Nigeria turned out to be a failed state doesn't mean everyone else will go the same way Here's a brief peek into what will happen:Unlike Nigeria, Biafra is not a "by force" thing. If any of the minorities feel uncomfortable with Biafra, they can opt out. Even after Biafra is achieved, anyone who wants to go can go. Igbos have no history of fighting to be with people. Corrupt leaders will spring up everywhere. These leaders will have more freedom and reason to loot the new nation dry. These are the same leaders in Nigeria now who can't even construct public toilets without stealing millionsCorrupt leader might spring up, but it will be a different dispensation. It will be a Biafran Police, Biafran EFCC, Biafran ICPC and Biafran checks and balances and laws. Exports will be virtually null. It is imperative to note that the oil from Delta North, Abia, Imo and even Ikwerreland won't suffice to feed the new nation, build infrastructure and run the government. I'm sure that Delta South & Central, Bayelsa, Edo, a large part of Rivers, and I daresay, Akwa Ibom & parts of Cross Rivers, won't secede with Igbos. Just like Nigeria now, there won't be any alternative to oil that will be commercially viable to run the country. Yes, the country can go on without oil & exports but the hunger in the land will force many to run back to Nigerian citiesFirst of, Edo is not part of Biafra (except for the Igbo speaking Igbanke people). As I have already said, Igbos are not going to fight to drag any ethnic nationality into Biafra the way Lugard dragged us all into Nigeria. It goes againt the self determination principle Biafra is built on. As for this insinuation that Igboland cannot pay for infrastructure and feed its self, that is laughable. If Igbo land could survive in the first Biafran Republic in a war situation, blockaded by land, air and sea, imagine what they can do in peace times. As for the minorities such as Ijaw, Ibibio, Efik etc, why wouldn't they want to go with Igbos? It's not like they are gaining anything out of Nigeria. Some of them are even more tired of 'one Nigeria' than Igbos. I have no doubt in my mind that if most of these minorities had to choose between Nigeria and Biafra/Igbos, they would choose Biafra. 4 All appointments will be hijacked by Igbos, for Igbos. The official language will be Igbo, ignoring other ethnic groupsNot possible because Biafra is going to run as a confederation with the regions having their own laws and premier and controling 100% of their resources. No one can 'hijack' anything in a confederal system of Government. 5. There will be mistrust, insecurity, violence, etc, arising from ethnic tensions and perceived injusticesAlready answered above 6. Other groups, drawing from Biafra's success, shall also secede and the nation will face imminent collapseIgbos are not empire builders and have no history of fighting to control any ethnic group. Anyone who wants to go can go While I have no beef with the self determination rights of South Easterners, I believe that Biafra should not be seen as a utopia. Things WILL NOT EVEN BE NEAR OKAY. That dream of perfection is only a delusion especially if other tribes are going with Biafra, of which I know my Urhobo won't. The only thing that'll likely change is that Igbos will be in power & even this change will be at the detriment of other ethnic group and thus, a new Nigeria will evolve. If Igbos are patient enough and their leaders become smart and calculative, they can actually win the presidency in Nigeria and become much more relevant like they wantWhen it comes to Delta state, most Igbos are more interested in their kith and kin in Anioma. There isn't an Igbo man alive who is going to fight to drag Urohbo, Itsekiri, Isoko into a political Union they do not want. So you guys are free to remain Nigeria. Biafra is for those who agree to be together, not those who coming to cause unnecessary headache. Nigeria is a failed state, it hasn't worked in 100 years and it won't work in another 100 years. We Igbos will hold on tenaciously to our God given right to self determination |
The picture doesn't look like them, and another thing, Gowon was a Major General long before either Murtala or Obasunjo became Brigadiers. |
Igbos are are an egalitarian and Republican people, we are not Yoruba and Hausa. We don't do 'empires', we don't do central Governments, we don't do kings and we certainly don't revere them the way Hausas and Yorubas do. What we do is confederation. Even if there was Biafra today, it would be a loose confederation. That's why the Igbo man values his freedom. Trying to make us be like Yoruba or Hausa cannot work. As for your so called Biafra factions, everyone already knows that such faction don't exist but we're made up by the Government |
The only people who have the right to demand Buhari resignation are those of us in the SE/SS area that overwhelminly rejected him. The rest of you who voted for him should shut up and enjoy the 'change' you voted for. Less than 2 years ago, the 'Sai barbarians' thought that Buhari was the best thing since the invention of sliced bread, now they are crying. I have no doubt in my mind that Buhari's regime will be the worst Nigeria has ever seen. But the nightmare to come is that the same 'Sai barbarians' who are crying now of hardship will again queue up in 2019 to re-elect Buhari |
Is anyone still whining about GMB's certificate? That person should please channel his cries to INEC or Go to Court...Did they also raid his Army file where his qualifications should be? The man never sat for WASC |
This is actually a powerful propaganda tool. A one thousand Naira note can travel around Nigeria several times a week and exchange hands hundreds of times. The message is getting across that there is section of the country that desire their freedom |
I think the administration has actually run out of ideas about what to call their fictitious group. TRIPOB, RENIPOB, RE-IPOB. It remains for them to call it FIFA-IPOB so we can see their dribbling skills. On October 1st, they will gather a few hungry Almajiris at Eagle Square, give them N200 each and an Igbo cap to wear and then take picture of themselves handing the Biafran flag to some nonentity lol Comedy show galore |
I've got to hand it to Buharis messed up regime, they know how produce comedy shows |
If Buhari had paid for this white elephant project out of his presidential salary, then I would have believed it. BTW, does anyone know if Buhari has paid back the 27 million Naira he borrowed from the Bank to buy APC normination form? Change-Begins-With-Me does not affect interest on Bank loan |
You have to give it to the man, he is passionate about Biafra. I don't know any Nigerian who is passionate about Nigeria the way Kanu is about Biafra. Kanu was born into a wealthy family, his father is the king of their community. Kanu is British educated and has a successful consultancy business in London. There was no need for him to care about Biafra or even Nigeria. But he took on the cause on his shoulders returned fearlessly to Nigeria even though he knew he was a wanted man. That's the stuff freedom fighters are made of. |
Aufbauh:What do you mean 'capable to incite'? Are these not historical facts? Can you refute them? You are more concerned with incitement than you are that there are people who have moved past incitement to wholesale murder? Typical Nigerian and the mentality of "please let's do what we can to coverup attrocities so that we can give the impression that Nigeria is united". Thank you OP for continuing to expose the 'British invention' called Nigeria as the unworkable entity it really is. No matter how long the Ostrich buries its head in the ground, it will eventually bring it out to face reality. Later, one buffoon will be asking IPOB why they are agitating. |
dunkem21:There's an 8th stage, 'He needs a second term to consolidate his achievements' |
Chief Author Eze, popularly known as Author N'Ukpo or Eze N'Ukpo. This man has always been a flamboyant multi-Millionaire since the day I was born. He once owned an airline. The good thing I like about the man is that he is one of those Billionaires who actually helps people. Last year, he gave Governor Obiano 1 Million Dollars cash to help combat erosion in the state. |
Lifestone:I checked it out. It says: Cyberstalking-As can be seen, the emboldened "send" at the start totally defeats the purpose of using this law against bloggers. A person cannot be cyberstalked on a blogging website. Cyberstalking is when one party sends unsolicited, vile and offensive matter to another from one computer network to another. Since bloggers only deal on one computer network ( their blogging page) this law cannot be used against them since they do not have direct 'cyber-contact' with whoever they are blogging about |
ipobslayer:The constitution allows me (or anyone) the right free speech. This means I am free to say whatever I wish including insulting anyone, their tribe or family. If you have ever heard that anyone has been charged to court for "insult" during a democratic dispensation in the history of Nigeria then give me the example. As for inciting someone to violence, it cannot be done by word of mouth only. In other to incite someone to violence, actions have to be taken such arming the person, giving them clear instructions on who to target, aiding and abetting etc. Do you know how many times a day Nigerians say that some past leaders should be slaughtered for destroying the country? Even here on NL. Why do you think no one has ever been arrested for calling for the death of another? Because it falls under their right of free speech which they are yet to translate to action. A crime cannot be commited by talking, it is only commited by actions. You can actually achieve biafra and maintain a cordial bi-lateral relationsip with your immediate neigbhors (Afonjas and Arewas) afterall, regional, environmental and economic challenges will continue to be shared, hence, the creation of ECOWAS, AU and UN which are agencies for multi-lateral interaction. The bad relationship is created by the "British business venture" called Nigeria. When everyone has the independence and sovereignty (which was stolen by Lugard in 1914) restored, there will nothing more to fight each other for, then we can be good friends |
Lifestone:Tell us where in the contitution to find this 'cyberstalking'. Also, how can someone be 'cyberstalked' on a blogging website? |
Xer0:Because political leaders are only after their pocket and personal interests. |
pippimp:All that is irrelevant. What is relevant is the law. Anyone, blogger or not, is allowed freedom of speech and expression. The only time a blogger should be arrested is if he wrote something that compromises national or state security. No blogger should be arrested for insulting anyone, misinformation or even for defamation. |
Press freedom is being thrown to the Dogs in Buhari's regime. Defamation is not a criminal matter! It is a civil matter. Anyone who feels defamed should approach the Courts, security agents are not supposed to get involved in that sort of thing. |
TonyeBarcanista:You should have condemned this despicable act of your security forces outrightly instead using your above statements to evasively defend their actions. Or don't you know that if this story is true, it was murder that was committed here? |
joeprince23:True federalism and resource control would have really favoured this part of Igbo land. |
