Very nice write up by IPOB leaders Barrister Emma Mmezu and Dr Iroanya. They said it all, and in the process, rubbished the 'one Nigeria' mantra of the clueless dullard of Daura. Self determination is a right, not a privilege. If the Daura of dullard thinks that us Igbos will eternally remain the slaves of the Othman Dan Fodio Caliphate of Nigeria, he will be thoroughly disappointed. |

It is "Igbo" not "Ibo"! 100 years since Lord Lugard created Nigeria but some people can't spell a four letter word!
Genocide against Igbos in Nigeria is not a new thing. There have been wave after wave of it since 1945. In Enugu, I have personally witnessed many Igbos run for their lives back to East during a certain disturbance in Kaduna that claimed the lives of several Igbos. As much as some ethnic groups preach about the beauty of 'one Nigeria', Igbos are one ethnic group that have seen enough of their kind butchared to know that no such thing exists. |

Flashh: Anambra people commonly differentiate themselves from other Igbos, which I know.
I once asked an Anambra lady if she is from Imo; to my surprise, she reacted like calling her "Imo" is a curse. She said God forbid. I asked her why is she discriminating her fellow people? She couldn't give me an answer. So I decided not to prolong on it.
That shows Igbos don't love each other. They are the ones dividing themselves. It could be that she or someone she knows had a bitter experience with a guy from Imo state, nothing more. What ethnic group loves themselves 100%? |

Antivirus92: when will this madness stop? It's time igbo people accept that aside oshimili and aniocha people of delta state; a new ethnicity, "anioma",has been born to other igbo speaking people there. Sorry Bro, there is nothing like 'new ethnicity' being born. You must call people by the ethnicity of their forefathers. Anioma is not an ethnic group but simply a geographical area |

nextstep: There is Anioma, and there is Igbo. There is America, and there is England There is Mexico, and there is Spain There is Brazil, and there is Portugal.
Each pair are distinct, separate peoples, though they speak the same language. You forgot to add in the above that the individual examples you gave are thousands of miles from each other. But in the case of Anioma and Igbos, it is just one big area with no distance between them. It is quite funny that a person or people speak Igbo as their ancestral language and have Igbo surname and there will still be argument if they are Igbo or not. There is no ethnic group in Nigeria called Anioma or Delta Igbo. Igbo is Igbo. Can I go and tell the Obi of Asaba, Professor Chike Edozien that he is not Igbo and he will not kill me? Can I go and tell the 'Eze Ogwashiuku' Professor Chukwuka Okonjo (Ngozi Okonjo-Iwealas father) that he is not Igbo and he won't throw me out of his Palace? Can I go and tell the Obi of Issele-Uku, Obi Henry Ezeagwuna that he is not Igbo and he won't curse me? The Igbanke (Igbo Akiri) people of Edo state are ruled by Eze's and Ndichie's. It is even Igbanke that people might question their ethnicity but yet, many are proud Igbos and wish to join their Ika brethren in Delta state. So people should stop this 'Delta-Igbo' thing. Delta is a foreign word that cannot be used to connote any ethnic group in Nigeria. |

obailala: The Scots have been fighting for independence for over a 1000 years, the UK has been a democratic nation for ages, but they only allowed that referendum in 2014... Don't allow that Scottish referendum fool you, the UK only dubiously gave that referendum in 2014 because they already almost knew the outcome before hand judging by the massive carrot they dangled on the faces of the Scots. We need to be realistic here, not even GEJ or the most amiable saint in this world would allow the territory he rules to be balkanised, else we would be hearing of referendums every day across the world. Unfortunately, Kanu was to some degree right when he said separation cannot be achieved through peaceful means. The most practical and the most beneficial thing to do is to call for the return of regional leadership, not outright secession. Regional federation isn't ever coming back in Nigeria, we Igbos know this. The core North will never let it happen and they are holding all the aces. To get regionalism back, the constitution has to be changed. To change the constitution, you need a 2 thirds majority in the National Assembly. With the numerical strenght of the core North in the National Assembly there is no way a 2 thirds majority will be achieved, not even if all the SW/SE/SS/NC votes for it. True federalism/Regionalism is never coming back to Nigeria. |

The blood of all igbos that died for this struggle will be on the hands of Nnamdi Kanu for leading them foolishly
If our igbo senators, governors and house of rep members and state assembly can unanimously demand for a UN referendum there is no how Buhari can say no He cannot go about getting Biafra democratically because Nigeria was not democratically created. The stance of Biafran agitators is that since Nigeria was illegally created by the forced amalgamation of various ethnic nationalties by the British, it is only fair that those ethnic nationalities be given a referendum to let them decide if they want to go or stay. You cannot ask people to go through a legal process to get Biafra when it was an illegal process that made them 'Nigerians' in the first place. That's like asking a person to seek divorce in court when there was never a wedding. |

The truth is that no leader anywhere in the world would sit back and allow the territory he rules to be divided; not even the amiable GEJ would permit that to happen under his nose. Buhari however needs to talk less on the issue of Biafra. David Cameron was British prime minister when a referendum was proposed by Scotland. Cameron didn't go about saying 'the unity of Britain is not negotiable'. Instead, Cameron allowed the will of the Scottish people to prevail like the democrat he is. If it was Buhari, he would send in Soldiers to gun down people. |

It is part of the propaganda the Federal Government initiated after the war in other to silence Biafra. Biafra was made to represent war. Many people, even younger generation Igbos imbibed this false ideology to the extent that just mentioning Biafra, some will say you are calling for war. Remarkably, the Biafran agitation has always been a peaceful thing right from when Ojukwu declared it on 30th May 1967 to this day. Some silly people will say that Ojukwu started the war but when you remind them that it was Nigeria that came down to the East to start fighting, they have nothing to say. It has always been Nigeria that brought violence and war into the issue of Biafra. Not one Biafra agitator has ever been found with arms, but they are the ones who are at the recieving end of bullets of the Nigerian security agencies. Since the year 1999 when Uwazuruike formed MASSOB to this day, nobody has lost their life to Biafran agitators and protesters, but many have been gunned down by the Army and Police. It has always been Nigeria that brings violence and war into the issue of Biafra, all the time. |

When we get our independence, everything from Asaba to Igbanke in Edo will be incuded in the "Greater Igbo confederation" and the words 'Anioma' and 'Delta-Igbo' will die a natural death. Igbo is Igbo. |

Op, your interpretation of some names might be wrong.
Wike is an Ikwere man. Ikweres pronounce 'Nwa' as 'Nwo'. So wikes name is Eze-Bu-Nwo (sometimes shortened to Ezenwo) which means a child is king.
Ugwuanyi literally means 'our Mountain/Hill'. It is referred as saying in English 'our Rock'
Ikpeazu means 'The last' or 'Final'. It can also mean 'corrupt judgement' |
