Adebayo2296: Thank you i have submitted application already, so my question is can i do medicals and submit even though i have not been called for medicals? I was thinking about the long processing time. What is the process of submitting it? will i have to go to vfs to submit it. I did the the paper route. You wouldn't go through vfs to submit your medicals. The medical center would send your medical results by themselves So what you will need to do is to send the medical confirmation slip via webform or email address to Nairobi office cause you applied through the paper route. You can as well wait for your medical call to drop before going for your medical (my 2 kobo sha). Bless you |

When did you receive your new admission letter? |

Frankrobbn1: I'll advice you order your CAIPS File, so as to know the stage your application is presently in. You can't continue to remain calm, while your application is gradually heading to 6 months in few weeks time and your eligibility review hasn't started. Thanks man! I just ordered mine 21 weeks 4 days no be moimoi wtf still on eligibility review |

MeinKampf: Mine is 16 weeks and a day. It's official that Canadian visa application is one of the worst in the world. If your application is still on the background checks, I wonder what they are still doing, anyway if you're con-vercent with quora and Twitter or even medium (IRCC) then you will know that Pakistan and Iran are facing worse cause Nah the same London VOs they handle their application. Those ones they take from 8 months and above still on background checks. |

Frankrobbn1: This must be your first application that's why you're getting a correspondence notifying you of your biometrics validity. I know of 4 different applicants within few days of receiving this letter, their application was approved, some denied. Your approval is close brother since you've been called for medicals. Oh no, the denied so loud. VO job go fit you. @Awuuga congratulations in advance |

jnyuwa02: If they don't disclose names how do you know they transfer to the same VO? I have seen some initials sometimes. And usually different processing center that handles the second application. Bro, there's nothing to argue about cause we don't know how IRCC do their thing or how they programmed their algorithm (via online route) if the application is taking to a different processing center (consulate) then it will be a handle to a different VO but if Nah the same center, its very very possible they give it to the same VO that handled it initially. Anyway, I must confess, CIC are mad They kept me waiting, I miss fall term, I deferred to winter, now see winter see my life... This people are very annoying oooo Omo there's no harm in refusing my visa ooooo instead of keeping me waiting like forever. If Nah true say some VO spy dey here, you people are mad. |

jnyuwa02: In my over one year experience dealing with Canadian student visa and reading people's GCMS notes never encountered anywhere where a reapplication was dealt by the same VO. Very true but they don't disclose the name of the VO that handles application in GCMS note Do they? So it could be possible if the application is heading back to the initial visa office (consulate) that handled the first application, they would just transfer it to the VO that was in charge of it for easy assessment. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 8:43pm On Nov 05, 2018 |
Senatorkolade: With the little I know about embassy and consular practice, your application will definitely go to the initial VO that handled if-the same visa office to know how far you have addressed his concern. If not satisfied, he will forward it to another VO for a fair and none biased review but if he is okay, he will just send you a medical request straight away. jnyuwa02: Just a correction. If you were denied before and you apply again, the application usually goes to a different VO than originally made the first decision. In fact it makes sense for a reapplication not to go go back to a prior VO who made the first decision so as to keep the process fair, to give a new VO the ability to make a new decision on your case. For example those who applied last year know all applications were processed out of Ghana. Those that applied again this year know that all applications do not go to Ghana anymore and should not expect that their application will be reforwarded to Ghana again on reapplying. It will be London, Lagos or Kenya's bite on the proverbial apple. jnyuwa02: Yes ooh! It doesn't go back to former VO. All VOs enjoy considerable latitude on making independent decisions on any application and can look why an application was denied before and whether the applicant has now met the prior objection. Both of you are correct! There’s a higher propensity it could go back to the same VO if the application is going to the same consulate |

Senatorkolade: I suspect the embassy is holding the application till the event has passed. I don't pray for negative outcome for them sha. Yea you’re right Even if the visa is granted on Monday or Tuesday it takes days to process passport cause he applied online... so those VOs would contemplate on approving their visas. Canada VOs are being cunning on this one. Too bad |

Snillous: Scared? But why? Lol. Anyway like I said earlier. It was the organiser who submitted all the application. But after the submission they notified me via email application was submitted. So I don't have the login details but only the organiser does. Many celebrities want to attend to the program even Pasuma boys application was also among and pasuma fuji musician insist if his boys visa not granted he won't attend the program in Canada. So I belive only the organiser can mail them direct frm Canada. He has spent much money to promote the program and Canada gov has approved it which approval number has been sent to embassy too. So that is why I don't want to involve in sending mail to them. Do u understand my point now? Yes bros Please tell us bout the program, is the organizer a Nigerian? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 9:12am On Nov 03, 2018 |
Snillous: Not 9th of June. I said the program is 9th of November this month. But I can't mail them but the organiser of the program has done so. He has mailed them more than twice now. But the date of the program in Canada is my concern. Thank u for ur concern brother. Sorry, I knew it was 9 of Nov, it was a mistake. Omo, you'd better mail them yourself. Forget third party mailing and mail them TODAY. Are you scared? There'nothing to be scared of cause 9 of Nov is like tomorrow. |

Senatorkolade: It may look funny but has worked for a friend Order for your gcms notes. This will force them to make a quick decision of your application. My friend eligibility review took so long since July. He ordered for his gcms notes in the first week of October and got medical call last week Wide thought! Now am thinking of ordering this stuff Wide thought, should I? Omg should I? Is it gonna worth it? Cic done make me dey craze finally |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 3:35pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
sleekysoft: Yes I saw a gcms note , the day the eligibility review stTted was the day the VO incharge sent an email to to verify the authenticity of the letter of support, left it for another person to handle and after 30 days of no response a reminder was sent again by the same VO( you can get this details on gcms, each VO has s unique Number , Check gcms note yu will see created by , updated by ) .. I want to believe back ground check deals with mainly bank statement etc( my guess) which other documents like acceptance letter, Sop , letter of sponsorship is been verified by VO.. I want to believe some just read and move on while some decide to dig deeper either by contacting the school to verify admission letter and every other letters addressed to the VO etc remember most letters are usually address to the Visa Officer , not ambassador or cIC staff... Thank you for the information Thanks |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 2:12pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
sleekysoft: Well if onlybyou will believe me, the verification process is the one taken longer time, how fast they get response etc.. some applications were sent in for secondary review which means 2 or more VO handles it cases for longing delays .. so let’s be hopeful .. I know someone that eligibility too so long cos cic didn’t hear back from the people they wanted to verify information from didn’t respond to their entities There's an atom of truth in this information. I believe you to some extent. But don't you think that process would have been taken care of in the background checks? |

Jit123: Hi nairalanders, I am a silent reader. I got to know about this group 6weeks ago. I got approval for student visa this morning and want to share my story. I graduated bachelors in technology in Aerospace engineering india on that 31th of may 2018. I graduated with first class with gpa of 9.4/10 (or 4.7/5 Nigerian equivalent). I got admission to do my master in aerospace engineering for fall 2018 at concordia university. I applied for my first Canadian visa with 6 weeks left on my indian student visa. (At that time the processing time in india have climbed to 7weeks). After 5 weeks I withdraw my application in order not to overstay my visa which will be a very bad thing for me and came back to nigeria. I defferd my admission to winter 2019 and applied for study permit in Nigeria paper route on Sep 17 ,2018. I started reading nairaland and boy O' boy i got freaking scared. After 5 weeks i got tired of all this and applied for fall 2019 intake at the best aerospace institute in france . This morning I got approval. Sidenote: I am not religious and the constant reliance on a supreme being to help your visa chances in this group got me a bit irritated. But I respect everyone's view and perspective.
Timeline: Degree: masters in aerospace engineering Submission date: 17 Sept 2018 with upfront medical and bio. ( I used the one I did in india for both medical and bio) Submission type : paper route Linked my application on the third day Eligibility review started on the 22nd October. Approval on 2nd November Time taken 6 weeks and 4days Congratulations Your faith has worked for you. |

She had BSC sociology (2002) over 16years study gap. Another Bachelor Degree in Public Health, Almighty UNIVERSITY OF LETHBRIDGE! Her first ever TRV. I started to follow this group on her behalf since June, but because of some technicalities( about the forms IMM) we opted for an agent. I want to encourage everyone still waiting, Your miracle is on the way. This group helped us a lot and I will always look back. Thanks a lot. Timeline to follow anytime soon. Paul4canada: Good Day, I am a silent read without a Nairaland account, recently created one today. After waiting since 23/05/2018, I sent an email to CIC London on Friday, it come to my surprise that my application was update today with a correspondence letter stating PURPOSE OF VISIT ALONE. My question is that since they knew my application will be refused after 5 months and 7 days why take forever to make such decision. Its so sad that i missed the September 2018 intake for my plan B program in Ireland. My colleagues are in school already (Dublin). Where do I start from again. I confused if to reapply or consider Ireland. Its unfair oooo. Am just sad because they wasted my precious time. The kind of refusal I am seeing today is totally scary. Halloween visa response! na na na na na na na na na na na na this is totally unacceptable. So sorry... If I were in your shoe, I swear to God, I wouldn't think twice to dive into Ireland Abeg please answer this question Did they review your eligibility? Or it was stuck in background check before the refusal ? Please answer the question |
