Ladies and Gents, sorry for asking again, IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE TERMS OF THE ACCESS BANK-DIAMOND DEAL COULD BE REVISED? |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by austinkenneth: 12:02pm On Dec 28, 2018 |
onegentleguy: As stated yesterday, the said huge volume of WEMA BANK(from the purported seller) is now gradually been taken up. ...over 650,000 million unit has already exchanged hands.
It's clear that the said seller doesn't know the VALUE of what they hold. ...let the investment firm help them with holding it. A renowned investor once said; "For every buyer, there is a seller... only the future shall prove which one of them had made a mistake !!"
DISCLAIMER: This should NOT be interpreted to mean any sought of recommendation. When in doubt, pls kindly consult a reputable investment manager for advise.
Regards. What's very good about Wema. Pls let us know. |

Raider76: Meaning the market MAY push it to at least N3 b4 the shareholders vote. In my humble opinion, there is every possibility of a deadlock. The shareholders will go for a higher price. Access may not want to pay the higher price given that they have already offered ~30% of book value and Access itself is trading at ~50% book value. this deal has a 50% chance of going through. IF it doesn't go through, I expect Diamond to drop down to 80K. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by austinkenneth: 12:07pm On Dec 17, 2018 |
The diamond deal will not fly at N3.13 because it is at huge discount to the net asset value of the company.
The shareholders know more better than that and will not approve the deal..Carlyle owns more than 17% which they purchased at about N9.00
Without their approval, the deal will be dead on arrival.
The legal battle involved will take at least a year.
Good news for some SANs. |

Radio silence! I hope say una never go board diamond bus? Hence the silence because of its today performance. Because so many bagholders are in the making on this stock.
Smart money that bought at low prices have booked profits already. |

DeRuggedProf: I have been in the stock market for a while, a very good while, I have experienced three intensively brutal reconstructions. That experience made me to vow NEVER TO TRADE STERLING BANK. And I have NEVER touched it since that time. Even when the stock is SHOUTING BUY BUY BUY, I laugh and walk away..... I may not be fair to myself, but at least I am sticking to my rules.....
No reconstruction ended up as soothing as a curse. Heavy objects always penetrated the ceiling and decisively pinned me to my couch.
Most curses take a while to be decisively punitive. The reconstructions evoked immediate and sustained capital erosion.
The stocks seemed to always prefer their initial prices before the reconstruction.
Where they failed to descend rapidly, illiquidity took over their dynamic chart patterns and the candles emaciated and lost their bodies and wicks...
I hope this turns out to be different.
Personally, I will never again be sleeping inside a bedroom that Julius Berger's cranes are crossing heavy equipments over its roof.....
Immediately I sight cranes, I hurriedly relocate. Even if it is under the bridge, I prefer to wait there, even for a year.... |

Mcy56: Oh, so it's paining some people now that Aiico's reversal was been discussed...... but when it was Uniondac reversing after gaining 100%, some of these people were the ones running it down with mouth and making jest then. Why the double mouth? Abeg make una allow person wey wan comment do so in peace o. Yesterday, I wanted to post that anyone doing jijo on aiico should sell it but I changed my mind cos of those who might quickly tagged it otherwise. I know it would drink water at N1.00 junction and the total bid was equally very lean xtyday. |

mendes911: Keep talking anyhow Sir.
He asked a question and a very matured answer could simply be "No, it doesn't affect Diamond in anyway because Diamond doesn't earn any income from MTN, etc", considering the possibility that he might not be learned as per any relationship between Diamond and MTN.
My 2kobo shaaa. Don't mind him. He thinks he is in the politics section of Nairaland where a thousand and one people throw tantrums 247. |
