ayonet:Bro, your delay has a lot in it. You really would need you GCMS file especially to understand how the officer surmised the issue of your 'misrepresentation' since the procedural fairness letter wasn't sent to you prior to the refusal or was it? Also, if you were welcomed to reapply, then the best thing to do is to get your GCMS file before you even proceed with other aspect because that issue of misrepresentation will play a major role in the review of your re-application. There is a case of overall genuineness of your intent as well as integrity and truthfulness of your information and documents. You need your file first. |

napoleonsmart:In under 2 hours, this question has been repeatedly asked! Bros, calm down na. Most people that can help are either busy with one thing or the other but once the 'gurus' show face, they will answer you. Well, in their absence, let me try. CIC will request for a new 'START' date and not necessarily a new offer letter. Meaning a new start date for the current offer you applied with. If you have a new offer from a different school, you will have to reapply with that because the information provided on the application form has Information on the offer letter you applied with. Processing and review of your study permit is based on that( UCI, funds, program etc). However, an advise will be to wait till you hear from CIC. If they request for a new start date, i believe your school will come up with something for you to finalize your study permit. The evidence of a positive outcome if a new start date is shown will make them revise your current offer. So let CIC reach you first before you proceed. 2 Likes |

@vanod, @bbbclue, my guy @mcobex and other delayed applicants, sorry about the outcome of your application. Whenever there is a will, things will always get better. One thing i have noticed about this canadian study permit journey is that it truly test your determination in dispair. NEVER let the outcome leave you down, get up, dust off, look into what might have gone wrong or what better strategy to use. Don't do things out of emotions! A refused application means one or few aspects of the application need fixing. You still have same chance to get it like every other person whose application was approved once the re-application is fixed. God's favour, mercy and grace isn't any less for you. It's equal for us all. Approved or 'delayed'. Last week, i saw a refusal letter of all reasons ticked. Thank God yours isn't in all ramification meaning there is still a great chance once things are sorted. Sooner, the results and accomplishment you would have achieved later on will really explain these obstacles on the path. It is usually about what lies ahead of you! Never give up! 7 Likes |

Akinsu:Very possible. Also note that class resumption date and late registration date are two different things. CIC most often work with late registration date( as written on the offer letter). Application are still approved after resumption date. Once processing go beyond that date of last day of registration and there is positive review of the application, they will request for a new offer letter for a next entry term and the visa will be issued. |

chybaz:I get. We all will help you. But today may not be a good time to dwindle into what went wrong and what didn't go wrong. Just take some time to go through the emotions as a human being, order for your GCMS file and after a day or two, we can start talking about the delay. Also, i noticed you mentioned the Master offer you have, using that might be a good step moving forward. So consider if the program is logical within your career and then you can work with that in the re-application. 2 Likes |

vieve111: Submit it where you did your biometrics. There is no particular time frame for transmission between VFS and the embassy. But from previous trend, most online application get their TRV once approved issued either in lag or Abj depending on where it is submitted irrespective of which office approved it. So if you stay in lagos, it could be a matter of days for you to get it. 4 Likes |

deemoni007:It's a good step in the right direction that you want to do it yourself. This will help you understand the whole process and it's requirements. Unfortunately, i may not be able to give personal guide to you as all the information and guide you need are on here. There is hardly anything i may say or advice that hasn't been discussed here. Make out sometime to read from the last part of this thread(Part 12) till this part. All you need have been discussed. Where you have difficulty in understanding any issue raised with perculiarity to your case, you can ask specific questions and they will be answered. By the time you have gotten to the advanced stage of gathering your documents, i can gladly help in reviewing your SOP and give an overview. N/b. Do well to take down your mobile number from your post, i have already removed it from the quoted one. Regards bro. |

To those whose study permit application got refused for one reason or another, GET YOUR GCMS file! No need rushing to reapply. If your situation or information hasn't changed substantively since the refusal, there is high likelyhood that the re-application will be refused for same reason(s) and there will be little reason to expect a different decision. Your ONLY chance to put an air tight reapplication is when you know the officer's information as surmised or inferred in your file. DO NOT underestimate your immigration file because once CANADA refuses your visa application, most top destination countries will have that information and it will stick with you for atleast a decade or 5 years to say a minimum. Do not give them continous reason(s) to refuse your application on same grounds. Each reapplication is treated as a new application but information from any previous application will be used as reference for the new application. This thing has been buttressed here repeatedly. Please, don't take a chance to get a good immigration record for granted. Get it right in your new application. To our newbies and silent followers, it will not be enough to silently read or assume you have put in a good application. If you have any doubt whosoever about your documents or any information about your application before you apply, come out of hiding and get help. Nobody is an island of whatsoever kind of knowledge, it's a collective effort to get things right. It is seemingly getting tougher by the day for study permit applications coming from Nigeria. The scrutiny is increasingly stringent even with an assumed good application. However, this new development will require re-strategizing with cogent and vital information that will present you as a genuine student irrespective of which level of study your proposed program is. CALM DOWN and get your GCMS file! It will help you. 12 Likes |
