Genesis has just unveiled its groundbreaking Essentia Concept at the New York International Auto Show. The all-electric, high-performance concept elevates and reimagines the “Athletic Elegance” design paradigm, while providing a vision of future Genesis product performance and technology. Essentia is the brand’s first battery electric vehicle and features a lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque, a robust, multi-motor electric powertrain, and a custom-tailored interior. Essentia is the brand’s initial concept for a true GT car and challenges the status quo as the ultimate manifestation of Genesis design and engineering. As a capable, thrilling sports car designed to counter the complexities of a modern lifestyle, Essentia offers serenity, clarity, and beauty. Its front fascia introduces an evolution of the Genesis Crest Grille that highlights efficiency and aerodynamics. Visible through the transparent hood is the advanced carbon fiber chassis, pronounced formula car-style nose cone, as well as the exposed, pushrod suspension. Intakes positioned left and right of the Crest Grille function as air curtains, streamlining airflow around the front corners. Ahead of the driver is an 8-inch widescreen display with piano black surround. The information in the cluster includes only what is necessary for driving. The rear seats, which are accessed through Essentia’s butterfly doors, are covered in contrasting, Oxford Blue velvet. In line with Essentia’s purpose as a true grand tourer, a luggage compartment behind the rear seats affords plenty of cargo room for a weekend road trip with no particular destination in mind. It gets an estimated 0-to-60 time of 3.0 seconds, Essentia brings sports car-level performance to the realm of electric luxury coupes. AI also plays a critical role in the technological capabilities of Essentia. Voice recognition and the next-generation Genesis Intelligent Assistant allow for two-way dialogue and full vehicle control through voice command, as well as individual driving behavior analysis and driver mood determination. Essentia can transact mobile payments through its center screen, making electronic payments possible for all kinds of situations. https://autojosh.com/2018-hyundai-genesis-essentia-concept/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

It is widely believed that there as some witches and wizards that cause traffic jam on our roads. That seems to be the most realistic conclusion when you've been in traffic jam and you suddenly realize you are out of it without seeing any major impediment. In some cases, the impediment may just have been removed. However, in other cases, the cause remains invisible. I bet there are no evil forces causing the traffic. It's just lane changing. Lane changing due to impatience. Once there is a little slow down, some driver immediately start to re-shuffle their lanes as seen the this video causing a ripple effect and may even lead to a traffic gridlock. It even gets worse when drivers start to go on the shoulders of the road turning a 2-lane road to 4-lanes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Loi9YyOz4k https://autojosh.com/this-is-the-most-common-cause-of-traffic-jams/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

Admittedly, the fun of off-road driving is best understood by those who have experienced it. Leaving the road and hitting the trail is a fantasy that many family car drivers have. Then there are also many of those who own four-by-fours and never dare to leave the road. Knowing some basic things about off-road driving can inspire you to go off-road more often as well as improve the experience. When it comes to driving, the experience you already have is a serious asset. Skillful drivers know how to get the best from the most common, two-wheel drive, low ground clearance, standard tyre cars in all road and weather conditions. If we put aside the all too obvious disparity in comfort, the main difference between driving off-road and on the road boils down to driving conditions. Hitting the unknown trail means not knowing what lies ahead, so a good preparation is all too important if you want to be ready to tackle whatever obstacle is waiting out there. For beginners and even more experienced drivers the best advice is to not go off-road driving alone. Having an extra pair of hands is very useful when you are facing a problem in the middle of nowhere. Other than this, the supplies and equipment are all that matters. A full tank of fuel is a must. Here are some of the other basic off-road necessities you’ll need: a good spare tire and a tire changing set, communication device (cell phone) 1. Understanding the Terrain The terrain is perhaps the most important factor in off-road driving. Once you leave the pavement and hit the dirt, you are facing the ground configuration, surface and weather conditions which can differ significantly from track to track. Different terrain characteristics mean different driving conditions and often require a different level of experience. Driving over sand is another experience altogether. Your road driving skills are simply not enough here because this terrain dictates a particular behavior for the car and the driver. On sand, the car can fall through or dig in, so maintaining speed is important. Slowing down too much can leave you in a sand-trap and that’s not a comfortable situation. Wider, low-pressure tyres are a good choice for such terrains. 2. Check your fluids Check your radiator levels. Off- roading puts a lot of stress on your engine, and you want to make sure to have proper coolant levels. Coolant should be properly mixed and depending on your location may be seasonal mixtures. Check your windshield washer fluids & top off. Dirty windows are a sign of having fun on the trail, but seeing out the window is more important. Make sure your windshield wiper blades are in good shape too. 3. Drive with a friend Drive with someone if you can. If you get stuck, you have someone to help, and if there is an emergency, you’re not out there all alone. This person is there to help you stay focused on the trail/road. They’re the ones who will get out in tough spots and help you drive up and line up – find your line to have the safest, best route. 4. Drive in your comfort zone Don’t do something you’re not comfortable with. Your SUV, truck or off road vehicle no matter how new, fancy or decked out it is, is only as good as the person driving it. Get some experience under your belt and don’t expect your vehicle to be a magic trail machine. 5. Find your line Your line is an imaginary line that covers your wheels – where you want them to go and where they need to go and where your vehicle clearance needs to be. Your co-pilot is excellent at getting out and helping you see what can’t be seen. Simple hand signals and clear communications are great in staying on this line. If any problem occurs, stop, take a breath, re-assess, communicate and try again. Don’t stick to a line at all costs; it’s better to back up, try something new and re-assess as needed. 6. Be Flexible This one sort of wraps up everything from above. Be flexible. Know that things will break, the weather will change, routes may be closed, trails may be closed, and things may not go as planned – but be flexible to change your plans. The worst thing that can happen is you push yourself to do something you shouldn’t do. It’s better to be safe and flexible than and to stay within your comfort zone than to start making mistake after mistake and ruining your experience and your day or much worse. For those looking to go out there and live the off-road experience, there is no such thing as too much advice. But no matter how much you know you will always find yourself facing a new challenge – that is exactly why off-road driving is so exciting. And Off-roading with the IVM granite is fun and exciting. https://autojosh.com/6-off-road-driving-safety-tips-innoson/

https://i63.tinypic.com/2mn5gyu.jpg 1. To be a danfo conductor in Lagos, you should be blessed with the talent of how to scream as many bus stops in a single breathe. 2. During rush hours, windows are also an excellent alternative for entering Danfos and Molues. 3. Agberos (touts) at the different bus stops are very literate. Because they are always writing, using coloured makers, all day long, on the body of Danfos. 4. You observe that traffic rules does not apply to the following: the Police, the Army, Government convoy, EMPTY bullion vehicles, Danfos (especially one that has as a passenger an official of the police, army, Man’O’War, etc.). 5. You observe a small crowd, on the street, gathered around a TV set. You inch close to find out if you are missing an important English Premiership match. Lo and behold, it is Saheed Osupa, performing at a funeral event in Ogbomosho. 6. In traffic jams, motorists deliberately avoid making eye contacts with fellow motorists so as not to be asked a traffic favour. 7. Road signs indicating “One-Way” traffic doesn’t necessarily mean it should be taken seriously, especially if you are a danfo or Okada carrying a passenger that is a member f the armed forces. 8. Danfo drivers, their conductors and agberos communicate in a special language. In the language, Five Naira (N5) note is referred to as “Kala”, Ten Naira (N10) note is referred to as “Fiber”, Twenty Naira (N20) note is known as “Shandy”, Fifty Naira (N50) note is referred to as “Wazo”, Hundred Naira (N100) note is referred to as “Ten Fibre”. 9. There is always traffic hold up after its stops raining in Lagos. 10. While stuck in traffic, you get approached by a street peddler. He tries to sell to you a fake Rolex at the cost of N15, 000! Further haggling, especially when the traffic gets in motion, eventually earns you the same wristwatch at N650! 11. The standing position, as opposed to sitting, is the preferred position by Danfo conductors to conduct activities inside and outside their vehicles. 12. When you are about to board a danfo, you just find yourself hesitating after the offer by the danfo conductor for you to occupy the last remaining seat in the bus after seeing the faces inside the bus. This is known as “one chance”. 13. You get into a combat with a stranger over the right to sit in the front-seat, window-side position in a danfo. 14. When stuck in traffic, you observe how hawkers and peddlers try to interest you in all manner of household commodities, from the essential to the outrightly ridiculous. e.g. bootleg DVDs, expired Gala, livestock, pirated books on esoteric subjects, counterfeit designer wristwatches, fake iPhone 6, cooking pots, etc. 15. Teenagers emotionally blackmail motorists when they jump in front of stationary cars in traffic and embark on unsolicited windscreen leaning exercise. The victims of such blackmail typically part with some money especially when they realize that other motorists, pedestrians and the entire city are watching in anticipation of an act of charity from them to the kids. 16. After you eventually get to the end of a long and agonizing traffic gridlock, you discover that nothing caused it. 17. Daily, you keep getting fresh reasons to believe that mental instability is a primary condition required for individuals to be licensed as danfo drivers. 18. The most strategic places to display and sell commodities are (i.) few inches way from major roads (ii.) on top of pedestrian bridges (iii.) inside Molues (iv.) In traffic. 19. You flag down a taxi. You inform the driver of your intended destination within the city. He then slams you with a fare that is sufficient to transport you to Accra, Ghana. 20. You observe how Agberos extort Danfo drivers and their conductors all sort of levies. For instance, “owo booking (booking fee), owo chairman (chairman’s money), owo ero (passengers fee), owo olopa (police fee), owo Lastma (Lastma fee)”, ‘owo weekend” (weekend money), ‘owo environmental (money for environmental sanitation)’, ‘owo task force (task force money), ‘owo organizing ( what is that?!),’ ‘owo traffic,’, etc. https://i67.tinypic.com/2usifeg.jpg https://autojosh.com/20-things-you-observe-while-commuting-in-lagos/ |

Despite its age, the 1952 Model Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith ‘ALW 11’ owned by the Kano Emirate is one of the most famous and most expensive to maintain Rolls-Royces in Nigeria – both recent and vintage. This Rolls-Royce was originally owned by an Armenian-British millionaire Nubar Gulbenkian who had many custom made Rolls-Royces in his collection. This particular Rolls-Royce was specially designed for him in 1952. https://i63.tinypic.com/1zfpmk0.jpg Shortly afterwards, the then Emir of Kano, Abdullahi Bayero (Emir from 1926-1953) bought the car. When Bayero died, the car was handed down to his successor, Alhaji Mohammed Sanusi I ( the grand-father of the current Emir). It is said that Alhaji Mohammed Sanusi I made the car available for use by Queen Elizabeth II when she toured Northern Nigeria (Kano, Jos, Kaduna, etc.) in 1956. The late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, also later inherited the car and the current Emir, Muhammad Sanusi II, has now inherited it. https://i67.tinypic.com/21lpje8.jpg Over the years, this Rolls-Royce has undergone restoration and several very high cost maintenance work. Almost all the parts have been rebuilt and refitted on it. For instance, a new ash frame for the alloy body was rebuilt. The Perspex covers for the unique front lights were recreated and replaced. A genuine Rolls-Royce badge bar was fitted on it to serve as a handrail for the Emir when he needed to stand and acknowledge his people; the speedometer was re-engineered, etc. Of course, this sensitive piece of the Emirate’s automotive heritage is not what you would expect just any mechanic to handle. The job of maintaining this Rolls-Royce was contracted to a long-standing British independent Rolls-Royce specialist, Chris Lee, of Beaconsfield, Bucks. https://i65.tinypic.com/287hyz6.jpg According to Chris Lee, when the Emirate contracted him for the maintenance of the Roll-Royce, he was instructed by the Emirate to do anything that was required, to keep it in proper working shape, irrespective of the cost. Indeed, it requires a fortune to keep a 1952 automobile in top working condition. https://i65.tinypic.com/2lk62ah.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/35n63o0.jpg https://i68.tinypic.com/afdbsz.jpg https://i68.tinypic.com/11b3ptl.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/nd4c9f.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/2s6v7yw.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/2jfwpqw.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/zmmoi8.jpg https://autojosh.com/see-what-it-takes-to-maintain-the-rolls-royce-of-the-emir-of-kano/ |
One place in Lagos state with a notoriety for endless traffic gridlock is the Agege-Pen Cinema axis. There, thousands of commuters accessing that axis typically lose valuable man-hours in traffic. The presence of a railway track there also does not help the situation. Instead, it compounds it. The presence of the Agege market is another big attraction to that area. Thus, hundreds of thousands of Lagosians access that location daily in order to get to the market. Hence, the heavy human and vehicular traffic on the Agege-Pen Cinema axis. However, all these are about to be history. https://i63.tinypic.com/21j3qqw.jpg The Ambode administration has commenced full construction work on a flyover and bridge ramp at the Agege bus stop-Pen-Cinema axis. The flyover and bridge ramp is designed to unlock traffic gridlock at the Agege-Iju-Pen-Cinema axis. The 1.4km Pen Cinema flyover and bridge ramp will run from Agege down to the Abeokuta Expressway. It is a key intervention strategy by the Ambode administration to address the perennial traffic often associated with the area. https://i64.tinypic.com/zxqyw8.jpg The on-going construction work runs day and night. Heavy lighting equipment and a massive generator have been planted at the site to ensure proper illumination for nocturnal construction activities. The Pen Cinema flyover and bridge ramp would be equivalent to both the Ajah and Abule-Egba bridges. The project is expected to be deliver by November 2018. Indeed, its apparent that Ambode is not joking at Agege-Pen Cinema. #AmbodeIsNotJoking https://i65.tinypic.com/22xj7.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/2zji846.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/iz93qe.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/15yvp69.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/2l9ihrm.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/11ryn9u.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/14tbgbo.jpg https://i68.tinypic.com/330tqh4.jpg Source: https://autojosh.com/see-what-ambode-is-doing-at-agege-pen-cinema-photo/

Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh (1919-1966) was Nigeria’s Minister of Finance. Prior to his foray into politics, he was an astute businessman with enormous wealth. He was also a sport promoter, school proprietor, pan Africanist, etc. He remains one of the most flamboyant and exquisitely dressed Nigerian politician ever. He typically dresses in flowing garments with a stretch of cloth several yards long held or attached to a boy. https://i64.tinypic.com/2v0op3c.jpg He was a man of great influence and power, both in and outside of Nigeria. He had influential international friends such as President John F. Kennedy and Israeli statesman, David Ben Gurion. https://i65.tinypic.com/15nlt0x.jpg In 1957, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh became Nigeria’s Minister of Finance. He was also the first Nigerian Minister to present a Federal Budget. His budget speeches were always a combination of the best of economics, finance, fiscal policies, and literature. https://i67.tinypic.com/rm8bvp.jpg As Minister of Finance, Okotie-Eboh played key roles in the establishment of the Central Bank of Nigeria in 1958. He also supervised the introduction of the Nigerian national currency following the withdrawal of Ghana from the West African pound sterling. Till this day, Festus Okotie-Eboh remains the only person to hold the portfolio of Minister of Finance for a record period of 9 years. On January 15, 1966, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh was assassinated together with Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, the prime minister of Nigeria, Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Chief Akintola, prime minister of Western Nigeria etc., in a military pogrom. Lagos-Ikorodu expressway is one of the most popular roads in Lagos state. It also qualifies as one of the busiest roads in Lagos if not in the entire nation. Today, millions of commuters travel along this very crucial expressway. This road serves as one of the roads that leads into and outside the states. However, the road has never always been this busy. Here are some pictures to illustrate how the road has metamorphosed over the decades. First is the 1947, the 1970s and then the 2018 photographs of the popular Ikorodu road. https://autojosh.com/see-how-ikorodu-expressway-has-transformed-since-1947-photo/

Contrary to popular belief, the Nnewi-based automaker, Innoson, is not the first; neither is he the only vehicle manufacturer in Nigeria. The land is replete with Nigerians who have also ventured into the business of producing automobiles – or, as in some cases, contraptions that resemble vehicles. ![]() The products of these Nigerian “automakers” might not exactly have the finesse or the aesthetic attraction of an Innoson brand of vehicle – neither do they have the elaborate factory setup like Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Comapny. However, their drive to fabricate something out of something should count for something. Anyway, Autojosh presents some “vehicles” produced by some determined and some rather ambitious Nigerians. https://i63.tinypic.com/2h80mww.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/258nthl.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/2uz3xtv.jpg https://i64.tinypic.com/28cezys.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/2vkfhg7.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/2dslair.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/2rh3hbl.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/vztpb4.jpg https://i64.tinypic.com/10zdah4.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/bfrig0.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/n50dpy.jpg https://i68.tinypic.com/2s0k7io.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/348hwed.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/nnmey0.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/jpykh2.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/20797i1.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/28ced20.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/537j0y.jpg https://i64.tinypic.com/2cwq49v.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/m3l9y.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/2ep2e5t.jpg Source: https://autojosh.com/innoson-is-not-the-only-vehicle-manufacturer-in-nigeria-see-others-photos/ |
Almost 8 years ago, three (3) very close communities – with the combined land mass that is not up to that of Surulere – were promised 3 flyovers each. Typically, residents of these communities received the promise with joy and great expectations. These communities, Alagbole-Akute-Ijoko area of Ogun state, are at the Lagos-Ogun state border – and just a few minutes away from Ojodu-Berger in Lagos state. A great number of residents of these areas work in Lagos state, although their taxes are remitted to the Ogun state government. The 3 flyovers being constructed are located at Alagbole-Odo-Yakoyo, Akute-Ijoko and Sango-Ijoko-Abiodun-Ojodu. The 3 flyovers are part of a 32km road construction project, that also includes the construction of 5 bridges. https://i63.tinypic.com/30ufh8l.jpg The project commenced sometime in 2012 and was expected to be delivered under 30 months. Sadly, the delivery date has been surpassed by a few years shy of a decade. Indeed, the project timeline suffered several setbacks. At different times, construction activities at these sites have suffered different states of abandonment. All these have contributed to the enormous inconveniences and hardship suffered by residents of Lambe, Akute, Ajuwon, Ijoko, etc. Motorists also have had to put up with the most horrific road conditions at these locations. The on and off construction activities on the some of these bridges have also cost the lives of many residents. https://i63.tinypic.com/2rrxclf.jpg Indeed, the residents of these locations understand that to make omelette one must break eggs. However, preparing the omelette at these flyovers is taking far longer and more agonizing experiences than the residents bargained for. https://i66.tinypic.com/ifq6aw.jpg Thankfully, in recent days, construction activities at the Alagbole-Odo-Yakoyo flyover has picked up an impressive pace. The Sango-Ijoko flyover construction work has also resumed, although at an unimpressive pace. Sadly, the Akute-Ijoko flyover is currently suffering total abandonment. Hopefully, before the 2019 general elections, at least one of the 3 flyovers is expected to be completed. The politicians would need it for bragging rights. https://i65.tinypic.com/214dyth.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/98u52a.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/104jonq.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/230bc5.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/2rmxuaa.jpg The Abandoned Akute-Ijoko Flyover https://i66.tinypic.com/30k3eib.jpg The Abandoned Akute-Ijoko Flyover https://i63.tinypic.com/fa8okx.jpg The Abandoned Akute-Ijoko Flyover https://i68.tinypic.com/kbum15.jpg The Abandoned Akute-Ijoko Flyover https://i65.tinypic.com/11kwj2w.jpg Ijoko-Ottah https://i65.tinypic.com/24bw01y.jpg Ijoko-Ottah flyover https://i65.tinypic.com/2d8rvwy.jpg Ijoko-Ottah flyover Source: https://autojosh.com/see-the-3-flyovers-gov-amosun-is-building-at-alagbole-akute-ijoko-photo/

Earlier today, an accident occurred at the Motor-ways/Toll Gate axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Lagos. The accident occurred when an over-speeding bus lost control and tumbled into a drainage system. Thankfully, no life was lost. However, a unit of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Rescue Unit was on hand to offer timely first aid treatments to the victims of the accident. The LRU also retrieved the vehicle from the gutter with their motorized rescue equipment. https://autojosh.com/bus-tumbles-into-the-gutter-at-ikeja-toll-gate-see-photos/

Oshodi is one of the most notorious part of Lagos state. It is characterized by an incredible degree of chaos and an acute absence of organization. It is also a place plagued by lack of proper sanitation. Oshodi is a goldmine for “agberos”, touts and other social deviants. This explains why there are 13 different motor parks scattered within the area. This filthy, noisy and crime-prone part of Lagos is also enormously infamous for being overcrowded with both human and vehicular traffic. However, all that is about to change. The Ambode administration is currently in the process of rebranding Oshodi. It is being done with the aim of giving Oshodi an ultra-modern outlook. The ongoing regeneration of the Oshodi axis into a world class Central Business District (CBD) involves the construction of Transport Interchange. The Interchange will aggregate all 13 city and interstate motor parks in Oshodi into 3 multi-storey bus terminals. The three floor terminals, which will be 30, 000 square metres for each terminal, will take care of the parking and passenger demand. The Terminal One would be for inter-state transport activities. While, the Terminal Two and Three will cater for intra-city transport activities. The terminals would have standard facilities including waiting area, loading bays, ticketing stands, driver lounge, parking areas, rest rooms, etc. It would also come with accessible walkways and pedestrian bridges and a state-of-the-art sky-walk to link all the three terminals, introduction of bus lanes, lay-bys, introduction of green parks to soften the environment and proper waste management strategy, fencing, street lighting and a dedicated security team for Oshodi including surveillance tower, CCTVs, etc. Oshodi in its present state accommodates about one million pedestrians daily with about 100,000 passengers daily accessing the 13 parks scattered within the area, while 76 per cent of the area is dedicated to transport and related activities. It is as a result of this that the place is challenged by serious traffic congestion and other environmental issues. Upon completion, the Ambode administration would have transformed Oshodi into a world class CBD with business, travel and leisure activities conducted in a serene, secure, clean, orderly and hygienic environment. But essentially, it would also ensure an organized transport system that will ensure free flowing traffic. Indeed, Ambode is not joking at Oshodi. #AmbodeIsNotJoking https://autojosh.com/see-what-ambode-is-doing-at-oshodi-photo/

In different part of the world, they are called “Vanity Plates”, “Prestige Plate”, “Cherished” or “Personalized registration”. In Nigeria, they are commonly referred to as “Customized Number Plates”. These different names refer to vehicle number plates that vehicle owners specially request for in order to promote his or her ego, ideology, etc. A Vanity Plate can bear the name of the car owner, beliefs, ideologies, emotions, title, mischief, etc. However, some Vanity Plates have been spotted that convey some rather weird and mischievous captions. Autojosh presents some of the most usual, hilarious and definitely audacious messages borne on some vehicle registration plates spotted around the world. https://i66.tinypic.com/351yes7.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/2ypkec8.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/2aan4ib.jpg https://i64.tinypic.com/22m0z9.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/30bpm41.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/hv88jn.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/14dhp9l.jpg https://i66.tinypic.com/14dova8.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/33o2zhz.jpg https://i64.tinypic.com/6z3jug.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/5z2wcx.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/4uceaw.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/fcqkk4.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/21kky1x.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/m9rfd2.jpg Source: https://autojosh.com/see-50-awkward-customized-number-plates-spotted-on-the-road/

Murtala Mohammed was Nigeria’s former military head of state. He became president on July 30, 1975. During his brief stint as Nigeria’s leader, he acquired a reputation as a leader who traveled about without the fanfare typically associated with leaders in Nigeria. He hardly traveled in a convoy of attached vehicles. He was not known to blare sirens whenever he traveled in his car. He often travels incognito. On February 13, 1976, while on his way to his office at Dodan Barracks, Lagos, a group of soldiers ambushed his car. Murtala Muhammed, aged 37, was shot and killed, along with his Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Lieutenant Akintunde Akinsehinwa, in his black Mercedes Benz saloon in an abortive coup attempt led by Lt. Col Buka Suka Dimka, The black Mercedes Benz saloon is kept at the National Museum, Lagos. The well-maintained car still has over 20 bullet holes on its. The assassinated President's car attracts 2000 tourists monthly. The car is perhaps the most well-maintained car in Nigeria today. Toyota Hilux – one of the world’s most reliable light commercial trucks – is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The Hilux brand made its debut in March 1968. It was introduced as a new bonnet-type truck. Hino Motors Ltd., was in charge of the development and production. https://i65.tinypic.com/w9zihc.jpg The idea of producing the Hilux truck was conceived by Toyota. The Hilux was intended as a joint successor model that integrates the Briska with the Light Stout. The original form of the Hilux was in the truck format. Since then, its emphasis has always been on its toughness as a workhorse whose practical utility makes it ideally suited as a commercial vehicle. No matter how rough the road terrain are, you are sure that the Hilux would ride easy on it. It also fulfill its mission of protecting human life and support human livelihoods. https://i66.tinypic.com/nyeera.jpg The vision and objective of Toyota for the Hilux brand are to ensure its durability, strong performance especially on rough roads etc. Which is why Toyota always puts its test vehicles through round after round of “breaking down testing” even testing them to the point of destruction. The Hilux has even been put to the test at the Volcanic wilderness of Iceland just to prove its toughness. https://i64.tinypic.com/b6wub4.jpg To kick-start the 50th anniversary celebration of the Hilux, Toyota has planned a series of activities. A special website has been launched for the anniversary purpose. The website is intended to tell the story of the Hilux brand from its first to the eight generation. The website has both the English and Japanese versions. https://i67.tinypic.com/s5h9p1.jpg Source: https://autojosh.com/toyota-hilux-is-celebrating-its-50th-anniversary/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun |
A Chinese printing firm, Polymaker, teaming up with X Electrical Vehicle Limited (XEV) recently launched a 3D-printed electrified car. Polymaker admits that there are also other companies that are into the business of using 3 D printing for production. However, they boasts that their LSEV is not rivaled in terms of size and the scale of intensity. https://i64.tinypic.com/161az4z.jpg The LSEV measures 2,489 mm (98 inches) in length, 1,295 mm (51 inches) in width and stands 1,498 mm tall (59 inches) tall, which actually makes it smaller than the Smart ForTwo. The LSEV also weighs 450 kg. The claim is that it has a top speed of 43 mph (69 km/h) and a maximum EV range of 93 miles (149 km). According to Polymaker, the car was designed using only 57 components. Meanwhile, conventional cars are made using over 2000 components and weighs more than 998kg. https://i63.tinypic.com/34yqiw7.jpg The 3D printing materials include enhanced nylon, polylactic acid and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). The chassis, glass components and seats – are the only visible parts not 3-D printed on the LSEV. Polymaker says that their car is “four to five times stronger” than an equivalently sized conventional vehicle like the Smart. https://i67.tinypic.com/21cbfcw.jpg According to the car manufacturer, it takes only three days to build the LSEV. Already, there have already been 7,000 orders for the small EV. The company plans to build some 20,000 examples of the small EV before the end of next year. And how much will the car be going for? Just N3.6million. https://i67.tinypic.com/iwrd5e.jpg https://i68.tinypic.com/k9b1q0.jpg https://autojosh.com/with-n3-6million-this-chinese-automaker-will-build-you-a-car-within-just-3-days/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun |
