As part of the plan by the Gov. Ambode administration to reform the transport sector in Lagos state, the popular New Garage Motor Park at Obafemi Awolowo way, Ikeja, has also enjoyed some major facelift. The once very dirty, chaotic and disorganized motor park now wears a new look. It is yet unknown if this reconstructed New Garage Motor Park ,Ikeja, will be an extension of the new Ikeja Bus Terminal which is just a stone throw from it. The New Garage Motor Park is located close to the Ikeja Local Government Council at Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja. Source: https://autojosh.com/check-out-the-reconstructed-ikeja-motor-park/

The new Ikeja Bus Terminal, unarguably, is the most ultra-modern bus terminal in Nigeria. This new transport infrastructure demonstrates yet another brilliance of the Ambode administration. The Lagos State government developed the Ikeja Bus Terminal as part of the infrastructures for the Lagos Bus Reforms Project. https://i67.tinypic.com/1zh3ei8.jpg Upon commissioning, the bus terminus will serve as the hub of all transport activities within the Ikeja Zone. The Ikeja Bus Terminal was designed to serve over 50,000 passengers daily and providing access to many destinations including Ojota, Oshodi, Maryland, Obalende, Agege, Ogba, CMS, Iyana-Ipaja, etc. https://i68.tinypic.com/242tkxe.jpg The Ikeja Bus Terminal features facilities befitting of a modern bus terminus. These facilities include Waiting Areas, Ticketing Booth, Loading Bays, Information Centre, Food Court, Taxi Rank, Passenger Convenience, Operations Control Centre and an ATM Gallery amongst many others. Nigeria’s president, Mohammadu Buhari, is expected to do the official commissioning of the Ikeja bus terminal tomorrow. So, considering that the land that this bus terminal belongs to the state government, if you were to quote as a contractor to build this imposing and impressive infrastructure, how much would you quote to build it? https://i65.tinypic.com/2ywtu0n.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/2qunsz6.jpg https://i68.tinypic.com/qznbkm.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/bis136.jpg https://i63.tinypic.com/zk06br.jpg https://i65.tinypic.com/2k4fub.jpg https://i68.tinypic.com/mcelox.jpg https://i64.tinypic.com/2638q6w.jpg https://i67.tinypic.com/2w3qexu.jpg Source: https://autojosh.com/see-the-ikeja-bus-terminal-that-buhari-is-coming-to-commission-photo/

Cars are not disposable items and many of them can actually take you above 320,000 Kilometers. However, some will only cover such mileage after you must have spent a fortune on them. So Consumer Reports decided to do survey on the safe and reliable cars you can drive the longest. Here are the 10 cars, SUVs, minivans, and pickup trucks that Consumer Reports' survey respondents reported have reached more than 320,000 km (approx. 200,000 miles), ranked by the percentage of those with zero claimed problems in the past 12 months. Toyota Camry Honda Accord Toyota Prius Honda CR-V Toyota Sienna Honda Civic Toyota Corolla Toyota 4Runner Toyota Highlander Ford F-150 6 out of the 10 cars are Toyotas. Now, it seems we Nigerians like to play safe with cars. Note: The study was carried out on older models like the popular ones on our Nigerian roads. However, the newer models also have good reliability ratings. Is your car on the list? A convoy of Ford Mustangs crashed after leaving a meeting in Dubai. It was said that one car stopped unexpectedly, this led to a chain reaction and a pile-up. About 6 Mustangs were severely damage in the accident. This is a perfect example of being even more careful when driving in a convoy. Drive at a descent speed, leave adequate space and stay focused. Now, the owner of the repair shop that will fix these cars will just have to smile to the bank. For decades, under bridges in Lagos state have served mostly notorious purposes. They served as accommodation for many homeless Lagosians. They also served as hangout for touts, miscreants and people with a tendency for crime. Alcohol indulgence and the smoking of cannabis sativa are also synonymous with under bridges in Lagos. However, all that appears to be fading into history. The Ambode administration, in the ongoing reformation of the transport sector in Lagos, is carrying out an unprecedented reformation of under all the bridges in Lagos. The administration is demonstrating a tenacity to ensure that under Lagos bridges become a pleasure to the eye. A landscaping and beautification project is ongoing in major bridges in Lagos. Soon, under bridges in Lagos will no longer be synonymous with indulgence in alcohol, hard drugs and the assembly of miscreants. Indeed, Ambode is not joking under bridges. #AmbodeIsNotJoking https://i68.tinypic.com/zkmlo3.jpg The ongoing reconstruction and the beautification of under Obalende bridge https://i66.tinypic.com/kf5e75.jpg Under Obalende bridge https://i64.tinypic.com/2zhpm47.jpg Under Obalende bridge https://i68.tinypic.com/v3d3eq.jpg The ongoing reconstruction and the beautification of under Ikeja bridge https://i65.tinypic.com/6r4uab.jpg Under Ikeja bridge https://i68.tinypic.com/t8p1j5.jpg Under Ikeja bridge https://i68.tinypic.com/oj2zcw.jpg Under Ikeja bridge https://i65.tinypic.com/2qcm7iv.jpg The ongoing reconstruction and the beautification of under Ojuelegba bridge https://i63.tinypic.com/fejsc0.jpg Under Ojuelegba bridge https://i64.tinypic.com/24dnepc.jpg Under Ojuelegba bridge https://i64.tinypic.com/213qqg.jpg Under Ojuelegba bridge https://i64.tinypic.com/binr06.jpg Under Ojuelegba bridge https://i63.tinypic.com/33w5qns.jpg Under Ojuelegba bridge https://i67.tinypic.com/vdiqyt.jpg Under Ojuelegba bridge Source: https://autojosh.com/see-what-ambode-is-doing-under-the-bridges-in-lagos/ |

I don’t want to imagine how the world would look like without these beautiful creatures. Take it or leave it, women make the world more fun and interesting. The internet would be a boring place without ladies making it fun for all of us. To make things straight, this post isn’t targeted at mocking anyone. The purpose is to reveal how Nigerian ladies get their first cars. Note – first cars, not second or third cars. 1. Mummy and Daddy Many times in Nigeria, after she is through with the University, her parents might just decide to honour her with a beautiful compact car. These cars are usually within the bracket of Toyota Matrix, Corolla, Honda Civic, etc. We've also seen some rich kids get the G-Class. 2. She earned it, baby! Yes, there are many ladies out there struggling on their own depending less on external sources. Although she could have added some funds from parents and boyfriend, she largely funded her car. The car could be a Toyota Corolla or an European machine if she has a rich taste. 3. Boyfriend-funded Not all boyfriends are broke. Sorry bro, but some boyfriends really buy their babes cars. Yes babe, some girlfriends get such gifts from partners they haven’t wedded. 4. Husband Simply put, the car is her husband’s material gifted to her. This is how many of our mothers got and drove their first cars. The type of car can be any. In fact, in some cases, the car is the one the husband was previously driving before he got another. More... 5. Loyal Customer Please, don’t fret. Some ladies know how to play their games with their customers. In this case, the lady might have strings with this rich man while she’s also dating another guy. In another case, well, she might just be one of those babes whose working hours are mostly at night. But, she’s high class, not those 500 naira ones. In any case, she would have a rich male customer who knows she isn’t into just him. Yet, this man fancies the babe so much that he can decide to surprise her with a car gift. If you doubt this, ask insiders. If you can’t find insiders, watch some Nollywood movies, and visit Google to know the lives some actresses live in real life; you’ll have a clue. Loyal customers can be a boss at work, or just anyone. 6. Sugar Daddy Sugar Daddies are different from loyal customers. Loyal customers know you cheat on them. In fact, it’s not even cheating. It’s expected. But, some sugar daddies ehn… Some sugar daddies can accept you seeing someone else; some can’t. They have similarities with Loyal Customers, but are usually jealous which isn’t associated with loyal customers. Last but not the least.. 7. Rich Alhaji Although the word ‘Rich Alhaji’ is only used to express the level of wealth the man commands, it also applies to politicians. Don’t think too much, you wouldn’t find these people in Lagos as much as you would find them in Abuja. A Rich Alhaji just calls the beautiful chic to attend an event together, spend some money, and have fun. He throws her birthday bash often; they go to Dubai together; she knows how to spend. For her loyalty and expertise, the Rich Alhaji could just decide to surprise the lady with a car. This class of car is the most expensive on this list. This is where the Range Rovers and G Wagons are like child's play. That is the reason why people around her would always marvel at the source of the car since she never bought or used one before, not to talk of something close. These beautiful people have made life fun for all of us. Do you think something or someone is missing on this list? Kindly share your thoughts. https://autojosh.com/nigerian-ladies/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrHMuT_Z7GQ Which do you think is faster between the 707 HP Jeep Trackhawk or 800 HP Cadillac Escalade? We've always known the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk as a true performance SUV but the Cadillac Escalade has always been know for it's luxuriousness. However, the Hennessey Performance team has changed that by creating the 800 Horsepower Cadillac Escalade. The Cadillac Escalade has more power but the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is lighter. Now, the question is which is faster? Only the drag race in this video can answer that. The Trackhawk comes with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that generates 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. It dashes to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph. The Escalade gets about 800 hp and 812 lb-ft of torque. https://autojosh.com/drag-race-707-hp-jeep-trackhawk-vs-800-hp-cadillac-escalade-suv/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

Fuel pump problem is one of the most frustrating car faults your car can give you. The work of this fuel pump is to pump fuel from the fuel tank of your car to the engine where it is needed. When the fuel pump malfunctions, there will be problem in the way your car behaves. Just like when there is not proper blood circulation in the body. This post is to bring to the notice of various car owners symptoms that they should be aware of about a malfunctioning fuel pump. When you notice these symptoms, proper preventive measures should be taken before the situation gets worst. This fuel pump is an essential component of internal combustion engine. When the fuel pump starts malfunctioning, it either delivers too much or little fuel from the gas tank to the engine. The two main purpose of this fuel pump is to pump fuel from the gas tank to the fuel injector or carburetor and then to create the proper amount of pressure to ensure that the right amount of fuel will be delivered to the engine, regardless of external conditions. Below are the symptoms of a failing fuel pump: 1. Your car jerks especially at high speed: It might be a sign of a failing fuel pump when you notice your car jerk at high speed. This problem comes up because the fuel pump can't deliver smooth flow of fuel to the engine, hence the jerking. This interruption causes the engine to skip several power strokes. This jerking effect might last for some minutes and then return to normal 2. Your car lose power when accelerating: Your fuel pump may be in trouble when you notice your car often loses power when you try to accelerate. In accelerating, more fuel is required which forces the pump to work a little bit harder. If the fuel pump is failing, it won't be able to deliver. It will just starve your engine of the fuel it needs. In essence, if your car is very reluctant when you try to accelerate from a stop, know something is wrong. 3. Your car starts losing power while driving uphill or towing a load: When the fuel pump start failing, certain driving activities like climbing uphill seems to be tug of war. You start having that feeling of your car struggling to take 50 bags of cement uphill; whereas, it's not carrying anything. 4. Your engine starts surging: You may find your car suddenly accelerating even when you did not depress the gas pedal of your car. 5. Your car won't start: This is the final bus-stop of a failing fuel pump. This is the end result you get after ignore other warning signs of a failing fuel pump. When there is no life in the fuel pump, it can never again supply fuel to the engine. Imagine what happens when there is no flow of blood from the body to the heart. That's what will happen to your car. To be sure it's fuel pump, check your car’s fuse box; a blown fuel pump fuse is another reliable symptom of a failed pump. If in any way you start noticing all these symptoms, have your car checked. It's good you know that there are other car faults that can bring about these symptoms. So make sure you have your car checked by the right people. https://autojosh.com/5-common-signs-failing-car-fuel-pump/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

I know cars don’t wake up one morning and decide to kill children.I crafted the topic that way on purpose because of how sensitive the issue is . Few weeks ago a man here in Nigeria(Kastina), mistakenly killed his little daughter, she was barely 2 years old . Let’s get enlightened. 1.Always Buckle Them Up The Right Way This should never be ignored .If they are too small for the regular seatbelt, please place them in a special seat for children and strap them in . Recently a man killed his daughter, she was sent flying through the windscreen, when he was trying to prevent an accident.Don’t let this happen to you. 2.Check, Double Check And Check Again Before Reversing Sadly the man in Kastina, killed his little girl when he was reversing. He didn’t check. She was too small for him to see !!, don’t depend on the mirrors, step out of the car and check !! . I have personally experienced something similar, but it was a careless mother in a garage, the Danfo driver reversed without looking, not that he would have seen her if he looked, she was too short.Luckily the Danfo had enough ground clearance not to crush the little girl. 3.Remove Sharp Objects From The Car In the event that a crash takes place, sharp objects like pencils and open pens in their pockets or hanging around the car can be lethal. Make sure they place everything in their bags and they shouldn’t back their bags while you are driving . All bags should be on the floor or in the boot. All other sharp objects should also be kept in the boot. 4.Don’t Forget Them Inside The Car You can’t afford to make this mistake especially with this Nigerian sun that is not smiling. Always check the back seat of your car before you get down of the car when you get to your destination so you don’t go enjoying yourself at the movies while your child roasts away under the hot sun. Would you like to add more ? Tell us in the comment section and don’t forget to like, rate and share. Stay safe and keep those bundle of joy safer! https://autojosh.com/prevent-child-getting-killed-car/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

https://i65.tinypic.com/254y1ah.jpg When God created us, we were meant to exploit the day and rest when it’s night. As years are passed by, human beings got engaged in activities that will keep them up both during the day and at night. Like somewhere like Lagos, I don’t think there is something like day and night. Things keep happening, traders keep selling, and drivers keep driving. Most people have adapted to this radical change in lifestyle. Driving at night can never be the same as driving during the daytime. They are two different things. Our ability of driving relies on sight. This our ability to see goes down with darkness when darkness comes around. In the absence of sunlight, darkness will gradually strangle your ability to see very well. Your depth perception, color recognition and peripheral vision are all tampered with. Again, we are not as bright and alert at night as we are during daytime. If you should carry out your research properly, you’ll see that up to 50% of fatal car accidents occur at night. Even though there are fewer cars on the road at night, the fatality rate on night driving is still on the high side. At night, be assured you’ll be dealing with drunk drivers, sleep-deprived drivers, zombies and frustrated animals on the road. But if you must be out driving at night, here are some safety night driving tips we have for you: 1. Avoid taking medications that can make you drowsy: https://i63.tinypic.com/2d10foz.jpg Even the food you eat matters. Eat food that is high in protein rather than ones high in carbohydrates which is more likely to make you feel sleepy. 2. Rest adequately before your night driving: It is not advised to take up night driving after a stressful day. Driving with sleepy eyes is very dangerous. 3. Have someone around with you in the car: They can help you stay awake with conversation. If the person can drive well too, share the driving duties. 4. Don’t take alcohol: You have been hearing and seeing that statement before now. So, no much talk on that. Alcohol will simply impair your driving ability. It will make you react slowly to stimuli. If you are lucky enough, you won’t cross path with already drunken drivers. Try as much as you can to be very careful especially over the weekend. 5. Don’t fiddle with your gadgets: Activities such as talking on cell phone or texting are as dangerous as taking alcohol. It distracts driving. Ensure you’re safely parked if you must use them. 6. Ensure your headlights are working properly: As we said earlier, visibility is of the essence while driving. Your headlights will aid your visibility to avoid possible hazards. 7. Ensure your brake lights are functional: The brake light gives the drivers behind you signal that they need to slow down and keep sensible distance between you and them. 8. Most of the time, the less-enlightened drivers would want to set your retina on fire with their lights. When you’re a victim of this, just do this. https://i64.tinypic.com/1531egz.jpg When such a car is approaching you from the opposite direction, divert your gaze. Use the lane marker or painted median stripes as a guide. If the person is behind you, use the nighttime reduced-glare setting on your rearview mirror. 9. Don’t be in haste: The way you speed during the day should not be that way you speed at night. Always ply on a very controllable speed at night for the sake of visibility. 10. In case of car breakdown, ensure you park in a very safe place. Being on the road can be deadly. Some drivers are not sane. Some might even think you’re an armed robber or blood sucking demon if by chance they see you on the road. Be careful, respect yourself so that they don’t run over you. https://autojosh.com/10-safety-tips-night-driving-never-neglect/ |
