Yeah I am talking about Danfos again,why wouldn’t I ?.When you see them in every nook and cranny .

Today I would be telling you about some tips on how to avoid trouble with Danfo bus conductors.

Lets get started.

1.Know Where You Are Going
You should definitely know where you are going to before you board any Danfo bus.If you don’t ,make sure you ask before boarding the bus.Trust me it wont be funny when you enter a bus going to Sango Ota when your intended location is Sangotedo.You won’t be getting a refund,but you might be getting an exchange of blows.So be sure of where you are going !.

2.Have The Exact Bus Fare
Always have the exact bus fare to avoid troubles.If you are not sure of the exact fare , always make sure you have enough money in lower denominations especially #100 and #50.

3.Speak Politely
Lets be honest most of us talk to them anyhow because they are “conductors”.But they are human,and very extraordinary human beings who are constantly unstable as a result of stress and sometimes alcohol and different botanical species rolled up in paper *winks*.

4.Be Patient
Sometimes even after you have done all the above ,they still act weird and very unstable .You just have to be patient with them .Most fights and sometimes deaths involving passengers and conductors would have been averted if only one or both of them exercised patience.

Fuel consumption of a vehicle is of much concern to majority of the people that drive internal combustion engine vehicles. It is even more disturbing when you realize that your car is thirstier and is consuming more than it’s supposed to.

In case you have noticed that your car consumes more than normal, here are some reasons why it is so.

1. Bad Engine Oil
This shouldn’t sound strange to you. Engine oil has much role to play when it comes to the performance of your car engine.

When you use the recommended grade of engine oil, the engine runs well with less strain and hence will avoid your engine from working hard – low mileage is the price it pays.

It is therefore wise to use the recommended OEM engine oil.

2. Driving style
Aggressive drivers are bound to have poor fuel mileage. The way you drive your car has a lot of role to play when it comes to improved mileage. The way you accelerate, the way you apply the brake, the way you change your gear (for manual transmission) etc.

Unnecessary revving makes your car consume more fuel.

Using the cruise control can go a long way in curbing this especially during interstate travel.

3. Under or over inflated tyres
Driving your car on tyres that are not properly inflated consumes fuel. When the tyres are under-inflated, the surface area of the tyre in contact with the road increases. This will in turn cause rolling resistance to increase; more fuel will burn. On the other hand, over-inflation causes loss of traction which makes your car do more work to stay on the road.

Research has shown that a decrease in tyre pressure by 10 psi can lead to 2.5% increase in fuel consumption.

4. Misalignment in the chassis and suspension part
It is not only unsafe to drive your car when the suspension systems and the chassis are bad; it also affects your gas mileage.

Always inspect for misalignment. Broken springs, worn suspension, bent wheel and bent axle can cause the drivetrain drag to increase.

5. Bad air filter
If you always drive in dusty conditions, it is advisable to change the air filter at least the number of times specified by the car manufacturer.

6. Bad spark plugs
Bad spark plugs cause your car to under-perform, consume more fuel, and sometimes cause engine vibration.

For example, in an inline-4 cylinder car that uses 4 spark plugs. If you have a bad plug, one cylinder will be affected and this will cause the engine system to be insufficient of one cylinder.

This will make the remaining 3 cylinders to work harder than normal. This burns more fuel and causes more strain on the engine.

If you notice your vehicle is consuming more fuel than usual, have your plug checked.

In a nutshell, always maintain a good maintenance habit when it comes to your car.

People are buying cars nowadays more than they have ever done in history,thereby making some companies boom and make lots of money .Today we would be counting down on the Top 10 Most Valuable Auto Brands.

10. Chevrolet
This American automaker dropped one spot from 9th position, even though they made improvements in value from $8.9 billion to $11.5 billion .

9. Porsche
This luxury car maker jumped an impressive 9 spots all the way from 18th position in 2016.They also almost tripled their value from $4.5 billion last year to $12.4 billion this year.

8. Audi
German automaker, Audi maintained the 8th position but had a considerable increase in value.They currently have a value of $12.5 billion, a good improvement from the previous value of $9.8 billion.

7. Honda
They dropped two spots this year ,they currently have a value of $21.3 billion ,compared to $19.3 billion last year.

6. Ford
This American giant also dropped two spots from their former position last year but saw a considerable increase in value from $19.8 billion to $22.4 billion.

5. Nissan
On the other hand ,Nissan moved up two spots from 7th to 5th .They also improved in value , currently $24.8 billion compared to $17.8 billion in 2016.

4. Volkswagen
Last year this German company, currently undergoing various crises and diesel scandals, was valued at $18.9 billion.They have attained a 32 percent increase in value ,they are now valued at $25 billion.

3. Mercedes-Benz
Maintaining the third position ,Mercedes is currently valued at $35 billion,previously $32 billion in 2016.

Currently valued at $37 billion, the gap seems to be narrowing between BMW and Mercedes .They were previously valued at $35 billion in 2016.

1. Toyota
Against all odds ,including having a little less sales when compared to Volkswagen .They are the most valuable in the auto industry with a current value of $46.3 billion compared to $43 billion last year.Its also awesome to know that they also the 12th most valuable brand in the world across all sectors !,beating the likes of Shell and Coca Cola .

If you are a young guy that drives a nice car, they may say you are an internet fraudster. If they shoot someone accidentally, they will say he/she was an armed robber.

I once had a similar experience.. and the catalytic converter was the last thing we ever imagined. It was stolen and replaced with a clogged one which also led to rattles. My response was basically directed at the drag issue the OP mentioned. It's probably one of the issues others raised but no one can say precisely until a physical inspection and a test drive.

You have to start by knowing the looks and design of different year range e.g. 2003-2008 Toyota Corolla has a different body structure and design from 2009-2013. However, the safest way to know the exact year is by checking the 10th character in the car VIN. If the 10th character is 7, then the car is 2007 model.. 8 means 2008, 9 means 2009, A means 2010, B means 2011 etc....

You may not like the name but you’ll definitely love the looks. The Techrules Ren is one of the most amazing cars to come to the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The Swiss Auto Show could not resist this ride due to its outrageous power, extreme design and unique features.

It is a Turbine-Recharging Electric Vehicle (TREV) which can produce up to 1,287 horsepower. You can opt for 3, 4 or 6 electric motors. In the 3rd option, two motors power the front wheels and four power the rear wheels.

The jet-like cabin can accommodate up to 3 people in a unique sitting configuration.

You can also opt for the 14 kWh, 25 kWh or 32 kWh battery. The batteries can charge from flat to 80% in just 15 minutes using a DC fast charger.

The Ren can run on petrol and natural gas but diesel is deemed to be the most efficient.. and it can the run 727miles with 6 electric motors, 25 kWh battery and 80 litres of diesel. However, the electric-only version won’t take you more than 124 miles. Top speed is 199 mph with 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds.

It has no side mirrors. Instead, it uses screens that shows the sides and rear of the car. The price tag of the production version is estimated at N455million ($1million).

Today I would be talking about 7 cars you can’t afford even if you save 5 Million Naira every month for 5 years.

For the purpose of calculation I would be using the exchange rate as of today .And it would be an estimated sum.

So if you are not a maths genius let me help you out .

5Million every month for a year is = 5,000,000 X 12=60,000,000

Cars without tyres are like humans without legs.At Geneva,Goodyear just displayed a new version of what could be the tyres of the future .Some of you might have seen it science fiction ,but soon enough it would become reality.

The new version looks way more “techy” and “smarter” and cooler.

Let me give you a quick breakdown

Highlights
-Its 3D printed
-Its spherical
-Its connected to your car by magnetic levitation (simplified -it won’t be mechanically connected to the car,it would be suspended away from the -car but connected to it magnetically)
-Since its spherical you can drive sideways without actually needing to drift the normal way you would on regular tyres.
-It has sensors that detects the road conditions and adjust the speed of the car depending on the road condition(for example slowing down on a rough road).
-The sensors on the tyre also periodically monitor the wear and tear on the threads and alerts you when needed.

I feel for the Okada rider or Danfo driver that will scratch this type of car in Nigeria. Will their bike or bus even be able to buy just 1 of the 1,000 crushed diamonds? This is obviously the most opulent Rolls Royce Ghost.

The car is owned by an extremely wealthy collector who allowed the luxury automaker to display it at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The unique finish is called “Diamond Stardust,” described as “the most luxurious and lustrous exterior ever seen on a motor car.” This is the most expensive paint job by RR which took specialists 2 months to execute, however, the price remains coded.

Rolls-Royce says the end result is a paint finish that “glistens like no other.”

With the help of Williams F1 Engineering, Singapore has been able to reveal their first Electric Hypercar concept in Geneva.. The “Dendrobium“. It has a striking design and can achieve a top speed in excess of 200mph.

Vanda Electrics is the brain behind this car. It is a Singapore based company that specialises in battery technology.
“Dendrobium is the culmination of a dream. Our design team has had sketches of an electric hypercar on the drawing board since the mid-90s, but that vision was many years ahead of its time,” said Vanda’s chief executive Larissa Tan.
“As electric technology has advanced, we have been able to revisit this vision and now, as we launch our revolutionary global e-mobility strategy, the timing is finally right for us to take the wraps off a halo model.” Like the Aston Martin Valkyrie and Mercedes-AMG Project One, the Dendrobium has a technical partner with some serious racing credentials.

It weighs 1,750 kg and top speed is targeted at over 200 mph, with a 0-62 mph time of 2.7 seconds.
The door open like a dendrobium flower which gives easy access into the car. This is also where its name comes from.

For those of you who have not heard about hyperloop ,its a medium of transportation that involves traveling through tubes at very high speeds .More like a train in a tube , but without tracks ,just floating mid air.

The main man behind this whole fantasy-like proposed means of transportation is Tesla CEO ,Elon Musk.He has however open-sourced the idea.A lot of companies and researchers are working tirelessly to have a breakthrough.

Recently a Los Angeles startup(Hyperloop One) released pictures of what could become the world’s first hyperloop tube.Its currently under construction in a Nevada desert.

It is designed to shuttle pods carrying passengers and cargo at speeds of up to 1,220 km/h (760 mph) through sealed, low pressure tubes.

I know it sounds like science fiction and sure enough, the idea of super-fast tube transport does have roots in sci-fi movies – but the images we see gives us an inkling that this may not be fantasy for too long.

The test site, called DevLoop, currently spans 500 metres (1,640 ft) in length and weighs over 1 million kilograms (more than 2.2 million pounds).When its completed it would span as much as 3 kilometers.

I would not bore you with much talk ,but let me break things down.This medium of transportation is aimed at connecting cities at unbelievable speeds.Imagine traveling from Kano to Lagos in 42 minutes ?,yeah I know its shocking .Thats the whole aim of the hyperloop program to crunch down travel time.

This would help a lot ,increase productivity, and help people work in places that are far from their houses(hopefully if its cheap, which I doubt)
