Problems are bound to arise when the combustion chamber of your car does not receive high-quality fuel vapor that it needs. Internal combustion engine vehicles get its power from these complex combustion processes. When this process is disrupted, there will be no proper combustion, the ignition will be interrupted and lots more. All these can cause performance related problems in cars and in extreme cases, it can damage the vehicle totally. Bad fuel does not properly combust and these are effects of bad fuel in a car: 1. Reduced engine power: Bad fuel will not burn and combust as high-quality ones. As a result, it will reduce the performance of the engine as well as power. The healthy fuel is needed for the proper combustion. Anything less will mask normal engine performance and will reduce the engine power. 2. Hard-starting/Difficulty in starting up: Hard start is another symptom of bad fuel in the fuel tank. Ignition depends on steady flow of clean, high-quality fuel in the cylinder. Bad fuel with low octane or high in water content can prevent a car from starting properly. 3. Engine hesitation: The engine tends to hesitate especially when you want to accelerate. The car will not respond because something is wrong somewhere. Fuel with insufficient octane will reduce combustibility and hence will cause the engine to hesitate. 4. Engine pinging: One of the major symptoms of bad fuel in a car is engine pinging, or knocking. This occurs as a result of incomplete combustion. There is no sufficient burning of fuel and air mixture inside the engine cylinders. This will result to pinging, especially when accelerating. 5. Illumination of the check engine light: Bad fuel in a car can be one of the numerous causes of check engine light on the dashboard of your car. 6. Reduced fuel economy. 7. Higher emission To avoid all these wahalas, we advise you always use the correct octane for your car and you should always buy fuel from a reputable gas station. Black market is known to be the deadliest fuel you can use for your car. Some gas stations are filled with scam. Their common scam is to fill their underground tank with premium fuel and then dilute it with lots of lower octane fuel. Don't be a victim. https://autojosh.com/bad-fuel-will-car-7-effects-bad-fuel-car/

kelechi50:Let's know the vehicle. Some vehicles use digital display that require you to push some buttons to navigate to the coolant temperature gauge. |
DaudaAbu:You can use any. Abro is about the most popular in Nigeria. Use same colour of coolant that came with the car if it came with any. |
Mrkumareze:Note: The engine coolant is a mixture of water and anticorrosion/antifreeze. |
Rigel95:Add a can of coolant and don't forget to check your vehicle manual before you take an action. |
The radiator is the major part of your vehicle that ensures that heat which is the by-product of engine combustion is dissipated into the surrounding air. Engine coolant is the liquid mixture formulated to convey the excess heat from the engine to the radiator. Our tropical weather dishes out constant punishment to car engines in form of extreme daily temperatures. It is not only engine oil level that needs regular checks. Engine coolant is also a vital determinant of your engine's health. To meet the power requirements of your vehicle, Fuel/air mixture is ignited in the engine cylinders by the spark plugs. The resultant combustion is what pushes the cylinders down to be converted to rotary force by the crankshaft. The unwanted by-product is heat. Some of this heat passes out through the exhaust system and some are retained in the engine block. Temperature in the combustion chamber can easily reach 4000°F or more. This heat is a waste product of the power being produced. If left undissipated, the engine will quickly overheat and may result in seized pistons or blown gaskets. Since the surrounding air is much cooler than the heated coolant in the radiator, the heat is dissipated by the action of air being blown on the radiator during driving. This is further enhanced by the action of a radiator fan that accelerates the volume of air being blown on the radiator. There are passageways for engine coolant in the engine block and cylinder head, Hoses and pipings are then used to convey the hot coolant to the radiator. The radiator contains piping and vanes conveying hot engine coolant from the engine which is cooled and recycled back to engine in an endless cycle to protect the engine from overheating. Manufacturers recommend that you top up your engine with engine coolant and NOT water. Water boils at around 100° C, or 212° F, boiling water can damage the engine. A good engine coolant will raise this boiling point to around 240° C (464° F). Water will also corrode your engine's coolant passageway. The benefits of using engine coolant includes prevention of rust and corrosion in the metallic and rubber components of the engine that they come in contact with, and a higher boiling point that is much desired in a hot environment like ours. It is good practice to check your coolant level and possible leakages weekly and to keep an eye on your engine temperature gauge while driving. Engine coolant contains heat-inhibiting additives and are sometimes coloured green or blue. Although other colours might be available. Your car might also have a reservoir for coolant, in which case you might be advised to top-up the reservoir and not the radiator directly. In the unforeseen occurrence that your engine overheats and you are forced to top up with water as an emergency coolant, your coolant will have been diluted and may not provide the protection you expect. Visit an automobile shop as soon as possible to have the entire coolant replaced. by Akin Louis https://autojosh.com/47532-2/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

https://i64.tinypic.com/2wdawx0.jpg You know the typical scenario, you are gently approaching a road intersection. Suddenly, without any warning, another car shoots out from nowhere. You slam on the brakes, frantically swerving to avoid a collision. You lean on your horn as the car zooms off. Road rage heightens your anger, causes your blood pressure to rise a notch. You wonder what is wrong with the mor*n that just narrowly missed pushing his front bumper into your passenger seat. Another one. Dense traffic is attendant with city driving. You are waiting for the lights to change at a traffic light, the car on the adjoining lane had its windows wound up. https://i65.tinypic.com/vdji9.jpg The instant the light changed, the car on the adjoining lane surged forward and cuts into your lane. No trafficators, no horn, no hand signal, no nothing. It was a close call. He almost sideswiped your car. You seethe with righteousness indignation, you shouted and gestured rudely at another example of a driver that constituted himself to be a dangerous menace to other drivers. Road rage quickly envelopes you. There are a lot of good drivers and a lot more bad drivers on our roads. The good drivers collectively pay for the bad ones as evident in the scratched bodywork, broken mirrors and torn bumbers being seen on vehicles everywhere. It doesn't stop there. Major collisions do occur too, the results could be more serious. Car bodywork can be resprayed, damaged parts can be replaced. But in a major collision, broken limbs and physical trauma to the driver could exact a horrendous sum of money for medical treatment. Death is possible. Your reactions to the infractions committed by other road users have an effect on your physical and mental disposition when driving. Your body tenses up, you get more irritable. And then suddenly, you believe you can't take it anymore. You shout at the other driver. An extreme example of road rage is drivers leaving their cars on the road and exchanging blows. Yes, I've seen it happen. https://i63.tinypic.com/o5ok9l.jpg How do you react to road rage. It makes you tense, yeah. It makes you angry, sure. The other driver is stupid, maybe. Have you thought about why he drives like that? Maybe he on his way to get a critical drug for his sick mom. He could be in a rush to get home to switch-off his electric iron that he left on during a power outage. He might be having a diarrhea and needs to get to a toilet. Fast. He might be drunk. When confronted by an aggressive lane-changer, give way. It is cheaper than the repair bill you will receive if contact is made. He almost swiped your mirror? Don't swear at him. Let him go and retain your peace. Don't be a partner to road rage. It's cheaper and more healthy to avoid tense verbal exhanges while driving. I have a friend that is over six feet tall and built like a power lifter. He could intimidate the toughest aggressor with his size and his shaved head. When on the receiving end of road rage, he doesn't return the insults sometimes directed at his mother! He has this ingenious way of replying every driver who scream and abuse him while driving. He shouts back 'I love you too!' It makes me smile. Everytime. by Akin Louis https://autojosh.com/react-road-rage/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun |

No one enjoys battery issues. It's irritating that when you are already prepared to leave for work in the morning but your car won't start. No one enjoys being stuck somewhere at night because your car won't start. Batteries are vital when it comes to giving your car the power it needs to function. First of all, the battery starts your car with its stored power. Second, it keeps all the vehicle parts that rely on electricity running while your car is turned on — including the radio, heater, air conditioning, and other features. We bring forth to you some warning signs that reveal when your battery needs replacement. 1. Engine cranks over and over before finally starting: This can indicate your battery isn't charging as it should. Check the battery straight away. Do not ignore a slow starting engine. 2. Check engine light come on when starting your car: We all know that check engine light can mean a lot. Low battery can be one of them. 3. Your battery is swollen: If the battery is swollen, have an auto electrician check it for you. The likely cause is that the battery has become overcharged due to overheating or excessive revving of the engine. Another cause of a swollen battery is that it is beyond its expiration date. 4. Battery is past its expiration date: Your battery can last longer than its expected lifetime; this may depend on how often you drive your car. 5. Visible signs of corrosion on the battery: Corrosion on the positive (+) and negative (-) hookups where your cables meet the battery indicates battery leak. It is possible to drive your car under this condition, but the corrosion may cause electrical breach over time If you decide to ignore these signs, you might one day end up with a stalled car when you least expect it. Take the necessary actions when you find out any of these signs. Form it as a habit to Clean the battery terminals every six months and to have the battery inspected https://autojosh.com/5-warning-signs-reveal-battery-needs-replacement/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun |
Negligence remains the worst thing you will do to your car. We human beings feel bad if neglected; so do cars. When you skip giving your car the proper care it should get, it will retaliate and won't serve you well. It will cost you some cash and nobody feels good making such expenses. In essence, it all boils down to taking proper care of your car, so that your car can take care of you and keep you safe. Below are the tips 1. Do not do away with your car manual: The car manual is there to help you know the basics of caring for your particular vehicle. Keep the manual handy somewhere in the car like the glove compartment. Make reference to it whenever you need to know essential information, such as the recommended tyre pressure, the regular maintenance schedule for your car, meaning of dashboard lights. If you follow the recommendations in the manual, it will go a long way to ensuring the extended life of your car. 2. Regular maintenance is of the essence: Regular maintenance has always been the number one way to keep your car in good shape. Regular checkups help you catch problems while they are still small and relatively inexpensive to fix. Again, regular oil changes is paramount. The general rule of thumb is to change the oil every 5,000 miles for newer cars, every 3,000 miles for older cars (2002 and earlier). However, check your vehicle manual for the recommended service interval. 3. Be mindful of your tyres, keep an eye on them: Over-inflation, under-inflation, and simple wear and tear can cause you to get fewer miles per gallon as well as making it harder to avoid accidents. Check tyre pressure once a month — your driver’s manual or the label inside the driver’s side door lists the preferred pressure for your car. 4. Pay attention to odd sounds, smells and movements: Your car has a way of letting you know when it needs special maintenance. Unusual sounds such as grinding or knocking, smells such as hot sweet odors or burning rubber, and odd movements such as vibration can be hints of electrical problems, low oil, uneven wheel alignment and more. Dashboard lights that don’t light up, a radio that fluctuates, or an engine that is sluggish to start can hint at battery problems or a blown fuse. The longer you wait to have your car checked out, the more likely it is that the fix will become costly. So, bring these things to the attention of your your mechanic right away. 5. Maintain your windshield wipers and lights: Both are essential for ensuring you have good visibility, especially in the dark or poor weather. To check the lights, put your car in park and walk around the outside of it to be sure all the lights are working. When headlights or rear lights are out, have the bulbs replaced. If you’re driving in the rain and the wipers are not doing a good job of clearing the windshield, it’s time to replace the blades. When you take good care of your car, it will take good care of you. https://autojosh.com/5-simple-useful-tips-vehicle-maintenance/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

Nigerians would always be peculiar people.Thats what makes the country fun and distracts us from all the wahala . If you are coming to Nigeria or Lagos for the first time , this would be very helpful. Here are some slangs we won’t stop saying anytime soon . Go Slow This is the way we say “traffic jam” in Naija . I dey inside go slow . Drop This has two meanings, it means hailing a taxi and riding in it alone to your destination. It also means alighting from a bus or taxi. Fockanizer Well, nothing much to say here, its Vulcanizer people . Rewire “Rewire” is actually an action , the person doing the rewiring should be called an electrician , not a rewire, my country pipo !. Bomber Its “bumper” folks , haha . Men In Black This refers to the police , the popo , the Nigerian Police Force . Agbero This word doesnt really mean something abusive , it can be translated as “Carrier of people /carrier of crowd” .But the madness of the agberos has made the word abusive. So it means conductors, tax collectors , infact any tout and their species . Alaye From my little understanding of Yoruba , alaye means “the living” “alive” “lively” ,but the way its used is similar to the way Americans call their friends “nigga” or “brah” or “bro” . Gberaa It means “move” or “move fast” or “drive” . Figo Danfo slang for 500 Naira .I am still confused how they coined this name . Shandi/Muri Danfo slang for 20 Naira . Muri-> Muritala Mohammed on the note Waso/Wazo Danfo slang for 50 Naira .Coined from two out of the three major ethnic group’s intepretation of “come” . Wa= Yoruba Zo=Hausa Faiba/Fiber Danfo slang for 10 Naira Cut Your Hand This one cracks me up every time .It means “turn the steering wheel” . Was I spot on ? see any errors ? add yours . by Donald3d https://autojosh.com/15-funny-lagos-traffic-auto-slangs/

For avoidance of doubt, the N1.9billion price tag on this 1958 Porsche 550A Spyder is not a typo. In fact, several Porsche cars appreciate in value as they age and this is one of them. It even gets better when the car has a history like this one that has won races in its class with its small 1.5 liter four cylinder engine. Another critical factor is, only 40 of this slay car was produced making it largely sought after. Hence, it was sold at a just concluded auction for $5.17 million. Would you buy this car if you had the money or what would you buy instead? https://autojosh.com/buy-1958-porsche-550a-spyder-n1-8billion-photos/
