Problems are bound to arise when the combustion chamber of your car does not receive high-quality fuel vapor that it needs.

Internal combustion engine vehicles get its power from these complex combustion processes. When this process is disrupted, there will be no proper combustion, the ignition will be interrupted and lots more. All these can cause performance related problems in cars and in extreme cases, it can damage the vehicle totally.

Bad fuel does not properly combust and these are effects of bad fuel in a car:

1. Reduced engine power:
Bad fuel will not burn and combust as high-quality ones. As a result, it will reduce the performance of the engine as well as power. The healthy fuel is needed for the proper combustion.

Anything less will mask normal engine performance and will reduce the engine power.

2. Hard-starting/Difficulty in starting up:
Hard start is another symptom of bad fuel in the fuel tank. Ignition depends on steady flow of clean, high-quality fuel in the cylinder. Bad fuel with low octane or high in water content can prevent a car from starting properly.

3. Engine hesitation:
The engine tends to hesitate especially when you want to accelerate. The car will not respond because something is wrong somewhere. Fuel with insufficient octane will reduce combustibility and hence will cause the engine to hesitate.

4.  Engine pinging:
One of the major symptoms of bad fuel in a car is engine pinging, or knocking. This occurs as a result of incomplete combustion. There is no sufficient burning of fuel and air mixture inside the engine cylinders. This will result to pinging, especially when accelerating.

5. Illumination of the check engine light:
Bad fuel in a car can be one of the numerous causes of check engine light on the dashboard of your car.

6. Reduced fuel economy.

7. Higher emission

To avoid all these wahalas, we advise you always use the correct octane for your car and you should always buy fuel from a reputable gas station. Black market is known to be the deadliest fuel you can use for your car.

Some gas stations are filled with scam. Their common scam is to fill their underground tank with premium fuel and then dilute it with lots of lower octane fuel. Don't be a victim.

The radiator is the major part of your vehicle that ensures that heat which is the by-product of engine combustion is dissipated into the surrounding air. Engine coolant is the liquid mixture formulated to convey the excess heat from the engine to the radiator.

Our tropical weather dishes out constant punishment to car engines in form of extreme daily temperatures.
It is not only engine oil level that needs regular checks. Engine coolant is also a vital determinant of your engine's health.

To meet the power requirements of your vehicle, Fuel/air mixture is ignited in the engine cylinders by the spark plugs. The resultant combustion is what pushes the cylinders down to be converted to rotary force by the crankshaft. The unwanted by-product is heat. Some of this heat passes out through the exhaust system and some are retained in the engine block.
Temperature in the combustion chamber can easily reach 4000°F or more.

This heat is a waste product of the power being produced. If left undissipated, the engine will quickly overheat and may result in seized pistons or blown gaskets.

Since the surrounding air is much cooler than the heated coolant in the radiator, the heat is dissipated by the action of air being blown on the radiator during driving. This is further enhanced by the action of a radiator fan that accelerates the volume of air being blown on the radiator.

There are passageways for engine coolant in the engine block and cylinder head, Hoses and pipings are then used to convey the hot coolant to the radiator.

The radiator contains piping and vanes conveying hot engine coolant from the engine which is cooled and recycled back to engine in an endless cycle to protect the engine from overheating.

Manufacturers recommend that you top up your engine with engine coolant and NOT water.
Water boils at around 100° C, or 212° F, boiling water can damage the engine. A good engine coolant will raise this boiling point to around 240° C (464° F).
Water will also corrode your engine's coolant passageway.

The benefits of using engine coolant includes prevention of rust and corrosion in the metallic and rubber components of the engine that they come in contact with, and a higher boiling point that is much desired in a hot environment like ours.

It is good practice to check your coolant level and possible leakages weekly and to keep an eye on your engine temperature gauge while driving.
Engine coolant contains heat-inhibiting additives and are sometimes coloured green or blue. Although other colours might be available.

Your car might also have a reservoir for coolant, in which case you might be advised to top-up the reservoir and not the radiator directly.

In the unforeseen occurrence that your engine overheats and you are forced to top up with water as an emergency coolant, your coolant will have been diluted and may not provide the protection you expect.

Visit an automobile shop as soon as possible to have the entire coolant replaced.

You know the typical scenario, you are gently approaching a road intersection. Suddenly, without any warning, another car shoots out from nowhere. You slam on the brakes, frantically swerving to avoid a collision. You lean on your horn as the car zooms off.

Road rage heightens your anger, causes your blood pressure to rise a notch. You wonder what is wrong with the mor*n that just narrowly missed pushing his front bumper into your passenger seat.

Another one. Dense traffic is attendant with city driving.
You are waiting for the lights to change at a traffic light, the car on the adjoining lane had its windows wound up.

The instant the light changed, the car on the adjoining lane surged forward and cuts into your lane. No trafficators, no horn, no hand signal, no nothing. It was a close call.

He almost sideswiped your car. You seethe with righteousness indignation, you shouted and gestured rudely at another example of a driver that constituted himself to be a dangerous menace to other drivers.
Road rage quickly envelopes you.

There are a lot of good drivers and a lot more bad drivers on our roads. The good drivers collectively pay for the bad ones as evident in the scratched bodywork, broken mirrors and torn bumbers being seen on vehicles everywhere.

It doesn't stop there. Major collisions do occur too, the results could be more serious. Car bodywork can be resprayed, damaged parts can be replaced. But in a major collision, broken limbs and physical trauma to the driver could exact a horrendous sum of money for medical treatment. Death is possible.

Your reactions to the infractions committed by other road users have an effect on your physical and mental disposition when driving.

Your body tenses up, you get more irritable. And then suddenly, you believe you can't take it anymore. You shout at the other driver.

An extreme example of road rage is drivers leaving their cars on the road and exchanging blows. Yes, I've seen it happen.

Have you thought about why he drives like that?
Maybe he on his way to get a critical drug for his sick mom. He could be in a rush to get home to switch-off his electric iron that he left on during a power outage. He might be having a diarrhea and needs to get to a toilet. Fast. He might be drunk.

When confronted by an aggressive lane-changer, give way. It is cheaper than the repair bill you will receive if contact is made.
He almost swiped your mirror? Don't swear at him. Let him go and retain your peace.
Don't be a partner to road rage. It's cheaper and more healthy to avoid tense verbal exhanges while driving.

I have a friend that is over six feet tall and built like a power lifter. He could intimidate the toughest aggressor with his size and his shaved head. When on the receiving end of road rage, he doesn't return the insults sometimes directed at his mother!

He has this ingenious way of replying every driver who scream and abuse him while driving.
He shouts back 'I love you too!'

From my little understanding of Yoruba , alaye means “the living” “alive” “lively” ,but the way its used is similar to the way Americans call their friends “nigga” or “brah” or “bro” .

It means “move” or “move fast” or “drive” .

Danfo slang for 500 Naira .I am still confused how they coined this name .

Shandi/Muri
Danfo slang for 20 Naira . Muri-> Muritala Mohammed on the note

Danfo slang for 50 Naira .Coined from two out of the three major ethnic group’s intepretation of “come” .

Another Lagos City Marathon is here and some roads in Lagos will be closed as usual. The event will hold on Saturday, 10th February 2018 and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has announced traffic diversion on the affected routes during the race.

The event will kick-off at 6 a.m from the National Stadium, Surulere and terminate at Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island.

LASTMA has advised motorists and commercial vehicles to use alternative routes as listed below:

·        From Eko Bridge, motorists shall be diverted through Costain to connect Ebute-Metta, Orile, Nigerian Breweries and Bode Thomas through Apapa Road (now Moshood Abiola Way).



·        From Alaka Estate, motorists shall be diverted through Iponri or Iponri Estate.



·        Motorists from Masha inward journey to Stadium shall be diverted to Shitta Roundabout for onward movement through Falolu and Adeniran Ogunsanya Roads to their various destinations.



·        Motorists from Apapa/Orile-Iganmu to Funsho Williams shall be diverted through Apapa Road to continue their journey.



·        On Ikorodu Road, traffic from Ojota inwards Fadeyi, Funsho Williams is allowed; there will be a restriction for motorists who want to link Gbagada through Town Planning Way, Ilupeju to Third Mainland Bridge (Marathon Route).



·        From Apapa – Oshodi Expressway (i.e from Mile 2) motorists shall be diverted through BOC Gases/Armed Forces Resettlement Center on the service lane through Agege Motor Road. Traffic will also be diverted through Town Planning Way before Anthony – Oke. (Note that Gbagada inward 3rd Mainland Bridge will be closed to traffic from Anthony – Oke).



·        From Old Toll Gate to Alapere, Ogudu, motorists shall be diverted through Gbagada, Oworonshoki-Oshodi-Apapa Expressway and navigate their journey to destinations.



·        From Ajah to Ozumba Mbadiwe Road through Lekki, traffic shall be diverted through Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase I.



·        Motorists shall be diverted through Alexandra Road from Cable Bridge while Bourdillion Road will be temporarily closed to traffic.



·        From Awolowo Road, motorists shall be diverted through Falomo Bridge to connect Ozumba Mbadiwe Road while Falomo Roundabout inwards Bourdillion will be temporarily closed and Akin Adesola Street inwards Bar Beach will also be temporarily closed to traffic.



·        From Bonny Camp to Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, traffic shall be diverted through Old Mr. Biggs Junction to Kofo Abayomi Street.

The release stated that all adjoining streets and feeder roads to the dedicated routes of the race would be temporarily closed to ensure the safety and security of participants.

The Datsun CROSS is powered by a 1.2-liter 68/78 hp gasoline engine, with 77 lb-ft of torque. 

In addition to the manual transmission, the model also offers the X-Tronic CVT (continuously variable transmission). Introduced for the first time in the Datsun lineup, this latest-generation CVT technology further enhances drivability and enjoyment. Smooth and easy to drive, it’s also highly fuel efficient, offers better performance, has fewer moving parts, and is more durable, lighter and more compact than a conventional automatic gearbox.

The Datsun CROSS is equipped with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) technology as standard in all grades. Using the latest software controlled by onboard computers and sensors, the VDC suite of features embraces anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic brake distribution with brake assist (EBD), traction control (TCS) and brake-limited slip differential (B-LSD). The Datsun CROSS also benefits from other safety equipment including dual front airbags, safety belt warning lights and automatic headlights.

There’s ample room for five adults and a spacious trunk for their luggage. There’s also the bonus of two extra seats in the back that can be used, if needed, over short distances.

The car will be produced at the Nissan/Datsun plant in Purwakarta, West Java, with the first deliveries planned in March. The car will be offered at a booking price starting from N4.5 million (excluding cost of shipping to and clearing at the destination port). Precise pricing and grade information will be announced closer to the start of sales.

You will not see that Mercedes Benz was "Founded in 1883" on Mercedes Benz website because that name had it's debut in 1926.

Did it not occur to u that Benz started in 1883 anf Daimler in 1890. That they came together as a merger in 1926. Do it research well before feeding others info.

Your post is littered with errors... I have seen that handl e and I follow them on Twitter but most of their infos are inaccurate

Innoson was founded in 1987 despite starting as a motorcycle company just like many other car brands. e.g Honda started with motorcycles in 1949 and made their first car in 1963 "Honda T360".

You can also double check with the owner of the company and CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission).
