You don't need to acquire any licence to start as obtainable in saner climes however u must be above average intellectually to really blow ( most people don't know this ) .
if you good ,nothing stopping u from raking huge ROI and based on huge population of vehicles on our various road ,you sure cannot run out of work .
However ,this days the profession is tilting towards sciences , electrical and computer side rather than mechanical in recent time considering the high technological explosion ( nanotech,AI,IT etc) that is happening in the field lately and will require smart educated science to do exploits unlike the period that it is a priofession exclusively reserved for the never- do- well- dropout of the society .
To sum it up , late-models cars are literally "computers-on -wheel" if u know what I mean and will require autogeeks.

I'm not concerned with all lights. The security light is the car icon with a key that lights up in your cluster. If you insert the key and turn to ON position the car icon should go off. If it doesn't and stays permanently on then there's a problem with your BCM, and hopefully not the ECM too.

Nissan will generally flag the security light permanently if ECM is down probably due to open circuit or short , not compulsory the BCM has to fried to set the light .

When Ac is put on it only freezes outside(bonnet) but doesn’t blow inside the car so the Ac guy said he did the servicing, that the fan with the evaporator was not work.

The AC guy is your problem ,jst tell him to undo any rubbish he did .He might have probably cause electrical issue or blown some fuse.

Please house what could be wrong with a 2008 Nissan Sentra that went for AC repairs, it got to when the Ac needs to be tested after service but the car refused to start, everything was checked up till no avail, even connecting of the battery to the kick start, only makes sound like it want to start but didn’t. What could be the matter

U you need to give the detail work that was done on the AC .

The Camry 1999-2000 radiator design is single cell type from manufacturer ,why putting double cell ,I will advice you stick to manufacturer spec to avoid unnecessary issue

I am still battling with a STFT -10 and LTFT -7.

It was serious STFT -25 and LTFT -23 when my AF sensor was bad. Changing it brought them down to current average.

I have cleaned the injectors, intake air filter, fuel filter. The power greatly improved after these works but i get good highway mileage and poor city mileage..

I have tried to change the fuel pressure control valve but couldn't get a replacement yet. Am also planning for new plugs.

U need to confirm if maybe u have one of the injectors that is stuck open a little or fuel pump that is supplying above the stock psi ,or faulty ecu that it's mapping for injection control is corrupt .

the metric for determine the measure of power of fuel pump is referred to as Fuel pressure .
Fortunately both I4 and V6 Camry 1999 share same value, : 44-50psi which means no effect if even if swap to another .

Those techs are not a available here in asaba! I wish i could get one really. We only use our cars as lab rats until one meets a rewire with a decent amount of knowledge n experience.

I could give remote support if u can get tech that is lit bit equipped (diagnosis tools wise and technical know-how ) (not kazeem o )

The problem is wrongs hands are touching the
your car and they are even complicating the issues further .
This kind of issue will require a tech with skill of understandings of how things works from the manufacturer implementation perspective as well as troubleshooting skill with aid of manufacturer service information and wiring rather than jst not mere scanning and parts throwing based on dtc codes.

I am sure where the issues come from your tech inability to get the FDC manual compressor to work instead of making use of the automatic clutch- driven VDc compressor that is originally designed for the car . Although there are still way of still manipulating the FDC connection to match VDC design which your technician is not aware of .

I have this ac wahala(not cooling) with my rav4 for a while now. Changed compressor and condenser last month as recommended, still not cooling. The ac guy now thinks its electrical. Who knows the right place to track and solve this problem once and all in Lagos?

Model year of Rav 4 cos with different year's model the HVAC design is not the same .

Here's my interpretation:
1. You ran that engine idling for ~18min, which allowed it to get to its operating of 70°C, and also that got the catalytic converters operating at optimum at 510°C. This tells you the catalytic converters are operating efficiently here.

2. This car is in good shape here. The fuel consumption I can say here is within normal thresholds. This you see by the switching value of the SFT. We don't have long fuel trims shifting to the extreme, in order to attain an equilibrium in terms of injection pulse width (commanding the ECU to balance up fuel consumption between rich and lean).

If the fuel economy of this car was problematic, the readings from the MAF readings would have being more than what it is currently.

3. Looking at your O2S, and the switched of the looks from OPENED to CLOSED, for the 18min the engine has being idling, tells me the sensors are in good shape.

4. Comparing the IAT 54°C and AAT 20°C, this tells you that the intake air the car is inhaling has risen to that value, because of the level of engine idling the car was subjected to(70°C).

This is basic physics or fluid mechanics, where fluids or flows towards an are of less resistance.

4. Finally, this car is OK. Has no check engine light kit on the dashboard, and the evaporative emission systems also appears to hold vacuum properly.

The fuel level in that car is more than 1/2 tank, seeing the value displayed on the EVAP portion of the evaporative emission systems.

The car's charging system is perfectly working. Check out the battery's current battery voltage reading: 13.764V.



I have hope this shades more light to the data you presented.

Please do correct me if I'm wrong in some of my conclusions.

All these analysis are subjected to lot of flaws , you can't use just a screenshot of live data to analysis a dynamic system that has tendency to change at any point in time,that is totally wrong . .Analysis is made from moving data(video) at different conditions of pids RPM,TPS,ECTS , etcs at different time periods ,doing live data analysis is subjected to variable of time not just a stastic view like a screenshot.
This car is not ok at all ,have you bother to check the extremely high fuel trim .

Change your mechanic instead of throttle body cos you are about to become victim of part throwing kazeems

Troubleshoot the Fuel sender ,sender circuit and the instrument cluster .

I didn't say u shd change sensor just like that , I am totally against part changing without getting to the root of issues ,the procedure is this :
troubleshoot first ,checking for the expected signal and from their ,u will the know the next agenda to follow .Let a professional technician handle this job for you cos it is beyond diy and mere scanning -hunting for dtc codes .

Note that I mentioned signal not the availability of sensor ,It is present doesn't mean it is producing it's intended signal .VSS produces square signal and u need equipment that view the waveform to see it

Somebody has tampered with the ambient temperature sensor located in frontal area of the vehicle ,look for something like this in front of the condenser ,seems it has been disconnected,just connect it back

Hi Ayo.What's the recommended coolant for kia rio 2014.
I noticed some oil spill on the right top of the engine. There is some noticeable vibration once in a while especially on idle with ac on.
The oil change doesnt indicate any discoloration. ie with water.Just that the radiator water level goes down a bit.
Someone recommended a gasget change?

Go for a radiator cooling system test , that will reveal the source of leak 100% wether internal or external.

As simple as backprobe pin is ,you can't get it locally in Nigeria talkless of pressure transducer cos no market for it as naija tech don't buy such stuff

If you are good in DIY, scan the car and monitor the fuel pump's duty cycle and fuel line pressure. At least one of those PIDs should be there.
If you can, post results here.

Honda doesnt provide such pids ,beside the type of fuel pump design is not duty cycle type but pure direct 12v actuated by PCM via relay
Diagnosis this type of issue will require scoping the current waveform of the fuel pump amperage draw for volume test and performing pressure test with appropriate pressure transducer, analysis of this test and amperage waveform will tell such precise story ,however this is beyond DIY but advance diagnosis .

At starting ,everycar need to run at fast idle mode to heat up the catalytic converter as fast as possible to cater for emission which is the essence of the high rpm starting and then goes into close loop mode after attaining certain temperature threshold which is when the rpm start going down .At cloop loop mode , vehicle fuel consumption is at its lowest by taken in Oxygen sensor signals
All these are algorithms written into the ecu to achieve near zero emission,so it just a normal condition.

This is applicable for the late model corolla from year 2011 till date .
