ensure u re there when d test is to be done and equally insist that the report is certified by a registered geotech professional or coren registered structural engr. also ensure that the d certifier licence is up to date. this same process is what d telecom industry engage during desgn stage

hadbak: If its a swampy area I sugest pile foundation or better still seek d help of a professional quantity surveyor, it will save u future cost.

what has qty surveyor got to do with foundation type. Ogudu, mary land and anthony are the worst area of lagos
sate even pile that is not properly done fails. Pls contact a seasoned and reliable structural engineer who will in turn engage and supervise a geophysical engineer who will conduct a good soil test. The structural engineer will then determine the suitable foundation type and designed it fully.

yes mr peter is d man on d job. my client shipped in d marbles they are 60 x 30 they were cut at d site by d tilers

The client is really giving a luxury finishing indeed. The tiles for my client's use are 5mm thick italian tiles quite expenxive, all other public areas such as stairs, balcony are marble. The other three flats living room and public area are marble, rooms are 60 x 60 imported porcelain gold tiles, full cabinet in the kitchen and standard wardrobes in all the rooms with shoe racks in master bedroom.

sorry a quick correcton the water proof cement is 2 bags and we bought at 11000 per bag. The total cost for our production was 711,200.
installation for a yard that will take up to 400 sqm will cost btw 280 - 300k (it could be plus or minus this range depending on you compound level) in our own case we spent 281,000

Material break down for 400 sqm of paving stone.
36 pcs makes a sqm, you have option of using 1//2 inch granite or chippings, with either sharp sand or stone dust. For commercial purpose producers makes 120 out of one bag of cement and often they dont use granites or chippings at all or a very minimal qty. In our own case we use granites, stone dust, and cement.

Grainites (1/2 inches) 40 tons

stone dust 40 tons

cement 144 bags (36 x 400 / 100 = 144)
Diesel 25 litres and black oil (for easy removal of the mould after cast)

Water proof cement 1 bag (optional: this is just to make the surface of the stone water proof)

Pigment 1 bag (this for colour stones)

Production rate btw 200 - 300 / sqm

Sand Bed for laying 30 tons ( this may vary depending on your surface preparation)

Laying labour btw 300-400 /sqm

Note ensure your sand bed is water to allow for proper compaction before stone is laid on it, also in the process of surface preparation you may engage the use of compacting machine (pls dont go and use axial roller with vibrating impact as this may cause a serious crack on your building, you may also apply some weed control chemical or lay a DPM)

This property is negotiable, there is a good access road, electricity and boreole is also in there. The house plan is available at the point of negotiation cos there is building plan approval on it, but there is room of for physical inspection.
