come to think of it the original poster should elaborate on the parameters we should consider before passing judgement.
if its archetectural beauty, walahi i will pick Great Ife over my own Unilorin, but since the post did not give any specific area i will stick to my Ilya Unilorin. that is being objective abi? grin grin wink

What I want to know is if we still have Universities in Nigeria. If we do, how many can really be called Universities?

I can't say much about the new Priv. Uniz we have now but majority of the Univerisities we have now are scraps! rolleyes

Imagine studying an engineering course and never been inside a LAB! What will you be able to defend if you come out of the system?

I still pity those who rely solely on the worthless pali they acquire from the University. The future is really BLEAK for those who can't see beyond that paper.

God go helep us all sha.

Anyway this is my first post on this forum!

Bola
such graduates they are referring to are definitely fro OSU, Ijebu Igbo and LASU

I will rather advise you go for British univerities definetly not American unless you want one crazy son of a bitch to blow your head off with a .9mm Smith and Wesson which is easily available and affordable like "akara osu" cheesy

PoliticsRe: Britain Slams 'outright Rigged' Election In Nigeria by awoof(m): 6:21am On Apr 28, 2007
Jakumo:
Britain's national interests are better served with Yar Adua as Nigeria's president than with any of the other two alternative candidates that ran for president in Nigeria's recent election, regardless of whether or not the election was 100% free and fair.

Buhari would have been an absolute disaster as a Nigerian president, given his outspoken advocacy of turning Nigeria into an Islamic Sharia rogue state similar to Afghanistan where British troops are currently neck deep in combat, trying to stabilize that country and wrest it from the grips of Taliban fundamentalist loonies. Buhari's rap sheet also includes a stint as one of Nigeria's most brutal and arbitrary military dictators back in the 1980's, a dark period of terror in which the Nigerian press and human rights community saw many from their ranks slam-dunked into dark cells on the flimsiest of pretenses. As if all those demerits were not enough, Buhari is also a stark illiterate cow-herding retard who should never gain access to even the lowest level of administrative power in a civilized country.

Atiku, the erstwhile vice-president of Nigeria, who also tried to become Nigeria's next president in the last elections, is the proud perpetrator of a criminal past that would make Al Capone seem like a mere pick-pocket in comparison. Atiku has been conclusively linked to a litany of graft, corruption, contract kickbacks and outright embezzlement of state funds ever since the day he found himself "elected" as Nigeria's vice president in an ill-fated 11th hour political compromise designed to pacify the northern Nigerian power block prior to the elections that brought the outgoing Nigerian president Obasanjo into office.

Given a choice selected from the available fielded trio of Nigeria's presidential candidates consisting of (1) Buhari, a known former dictator of unsurpassed brutality and an Islamic fundamentalist Ayatollah-in-waiting, or (2) Atiku, a known kleptomaniac of monumental greed, or (3) Yar Adua, a college graduate and former state governor who left funds totalling several billion in the state coffers when leaving office, most adequately informed observers would agree that Nigeria's immediate and long-term future is best entrusted to Yar Adua, EVEN IF PRE-EMPTIVE COUNTER-RIGGING WAS DEEMED NECESSARY to assure the ONLY safe electoral outcome for Nigeria in these past 2007 elections.
Good and brilliant talk. With your post now i am most convinced that we have some brilliant and matured Nairalanders in da house apart from the hordes of rude and cursing juvenile street urchins posts i have read in the past few days. Bravo Jakumo wink wink wink

i read that story too. But i iam 75% sure that story is a lie! Nigerian press has started because OBJ refused to play ball wink throughout his 2 terms (and even durin the chase for 3rd term) most Nigerian press never saw anything good in him. and let me tell you if they think they can set Yaradua and OBJ against each other, they better forget that becos they tried it with IBB and OBJ it never worked. these people have come a long way together.

That observation is quite true, harsh but true wink

I wouldn't say Aussies are racist. They are Ignorant not racist, and even ten it is not intentional, it's just a lack of exposure. I've being at the receiving end of racists remarks in Papua New Guinea and here in Australia. The thong I have noticed though; Is that Australians outside Australia's are more Racist than Australians in Australia, That contradicts my first senctence, but both sentences are true. wink

How can they mistake you for an Aboriginal, Africans/AAs and 99% of all other black people, don't look remotely like Australian Aboriginals shocked
thanks fellow nairalander for your recent post maybe your point that Ausies outside are the racist is the truth. all I know is that I am meeting them in large numbers for the first time. but its like you did not get my point on the issue of aborigines i meant the attitude they put forward when they see those of us from Africa here is like looking at aborigines, i am not saying that they think i am one. they dare not cause I am damn too handsome for any drunk among them to think like that. wait until i post my pics you will agree with me wink wink

Yah i've seen the pictures. They sure have a very beautifil skyline. but that is where my compliments will end. Ausies or how do they call them? are the worst speakers of the english language i have ever come across in my whole life (I can speak on that cos this is my third time (term?) of interacting with policemen, military and civilian internationals from all over the world and i think they are equally the worst racists i have ever met, they look at every black man as if he is an Aborigine, as i am writing this post they are with me in the same operations room here in Dili they never open their crooked mouths to say hello to anybody and too arogant for my liking. angry angry angry

They better also prepare to have sharia implementation across Nigeria.

Yaradua implemented same sharis in Katsina, but nobody was talking of this.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/860660.stm
He can not try that, Nigeria is not Katsina and you have to bear it in mind that the Northern muslim politicians brought sharia (which OBJ rightly called) "political sharia" to distabilize the Nigerian polity and by the way did you hear or read what Ribadu said about the Ayatolla of Zamfara at a forum sometimes late 2006? If you did you will not bother yourself about any threat of introducing sharia.

I find it irrelivatic idiotic to call such a man of great sense of lies a man of God.

And come to think of it, has he ever done a healing or normal ministration like that which other pastors do? NO!. Instead you come to church with a big note book, 2 new working pen alongside an Oxford dictionary to translate all the grammatical annointings into small small paticuls, mean while at the end of the day, all fall down to 2007, is our year, May 29th is our day, Jesus is Lord.

Is not a surprise, maybe gods really told him, but even when they did, he should have waited for the voice of God.
I like your choice of words, alternatively may be lucifer told him grin grin grin

The Guy is a pocket scrapper and not a man of God.

God is not man, his words will surely come to pass, he will never, ever lie.

If Okotie heard from God the first time and God changed his mind and allowed OBJ the first time and again OBJ Kiddies this second time, and even while every NIgerian has accepted his faith, his talkin about forcefully or miraculously beating a constitutional process, then he should have his head checked, and even that of his Blind Group.

My advice for his followers is pray to God to speak to your pastor (Okotie) instead of sending Devil a message to deliver to him (Okotie). and please watch out before opposition parties send in time or praise bomb to your political oranisation (Church)

@ Thread Author,

Why raise this post, don't you know deep inside you that this man Okotie is a liar? huummmmmm. leave matter for matayaH

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome: Interview/Comments by awoof(m): 6:44am On Apr 27, 2007
I do not have anything against pastor Xris or any other one, i neither praise any pastor nor condemn any other. but i was angry with him when they interviewed him about that young man who was commanded by the satan to be stealing Sheraton Hotels money and was donating it to his church. i understand he said it was not his business to ask his members the source or sources of the money they give his church. (except he was misquoted) and to you who see Xris as your lord and saviour was that the kind of answer expected from a true man of God? Peradventure he was told that one of those robbers who storm banks in the night killing both policemen and civilians had been donating sustantial part of their loot to his church what would he have said?
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor T. B. Joshua: The Man in the Synagogue by awoof(m): 6:05am On Apr 27, 2007
I am not going to be dragged into judging whether Joshua is a man of God or not. My own approach to Pastor Joshua is different, I am someone who does not beleive in following every other persons' path. I was posted to Lagos in 1991, and about 1992 the noise about him started then i bacame curious and wanted to see things myself I made up my mind and attended his sevice i think up to four or five sundays not to look for any miracle o, of course i never needed one and i still do not need one now. But my brothers and sisters, what i saw was thought provoking. He was actually performing those miracles and my conclusion thereafter was that if he was doing those things with the genuine power of the holy spirit let the Lord be with him and if it is fetish powers he was using i said God will expose him without delay. But lo and behold, 1992-2007 that is 15 cool years and the man is waxing ever stronger, well i will continue to watch him closely and with keen interest. Come to think of it those of you that feel he is a man of the devil may God forgive you all don't judge. As for me I was born and baptised an Anglican, though i have flirted with many of these "i feel all right" new generation penticostal churches, but my thinking is that some of us that have reached maturity age, i mean that do not jump at anything that comes from land of the gratest devil (USA) we shall all return to our denominations of birth, because most of these bishops, pastors or GOs are all presidents or chairmen/ceo of families incorporated businesses (churches?) feeding fat on foolish people who want to go to heaven but do not want to die cry cry cry

Come to think of it I thought the original post asked about Pele or Maradona, but which one come bring Messi, Ronaldinho, Zidane et all? Well my pick is Pele he was the best on the field and a perfect ambassador of the beautiful game out of the field. see what has become of Maradona. It is either drug or one problem or the other. However, i can see the problem of age differentials here, probably most of the contributors did not watch Pele during his days, but that is no escuse there are video recordings of his expoloits in soceer, he is the greatest QED

Why not speak for yourself? If you don't like it, simply don't watch it, thats why the remote control is there.
God bless you for your response. the only one that interests me is that the guy said they all laft Naija becos there is no press freedom ha! (no bi jobs again?) i wonder what some Nigerians are turning themselve into.
