Lies. Why would God stop doing miracles because some people denied them? How did He stop miracles that are happening live till now?

Is this a miracle or magic? God does miracles for the benefits of humanity. What can anyone gain or benefit from a she camel coming from a rock? Magic.

When I started pondering on why Allah did not do miracles through Muhammad, I concluded that it was due to his wicked nature. He could kill but could not raise alive. He could wounds but could not heal. I ask, what benefit did allah give to muslims?

I tell the truth and lie not, if not for Jesus, I would have been dead long ago when I ate poison and all medical treatments proved abortive. If I were a muslim, I would have been in hell now. Glory be to my Jesus.

If not for Jesus, I would have lost one of my twin girls from falling from a storey-building but was suspended on the air at the shout of Jesus[font=Lucida Sans Unicode][/font].

Ladies should not be sensitive to a man asking for their age. I have seen too many cases of people starting relationships on lies. It is better you tell him at the outset than for him to fall head over heels in love with you. A simple fact like this can rock a seemingly perfect union.
I know someone who lied to her husband, she is at least 2 years older than him. I don't think he knows yet but they already have issues which she claims are due to his dishonesty.
Imagine the predictions for this marriage if he finds out her true age or his mother finds out!

Your observation and suggestions to take the reports down are noted however you never showed any concern in the thread itself and accused the OP of being irresponsible. I do not believe that this is a fair judgement.

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, this is one of our sisters and her sister is on NL with us. She needs help and you may know one or two people who can help cover the whole expenses. Cocodiva, a muslim NLDER has visited and confirmed the state she is in. I have reviewed the medical records and there is no doubt what the diagnosis is. She is too weak to get chemo and radiation. Even an ayah of yet quran is better than this silence. She is one of ours; please let us all arise and be muslims. It is not easy to come out and ask for help but we are each other's keeper.
I am confident that among us here, Allah will raise the solution. It's His promise.

In December 2013, Amina Fahm is a 38 year mother of six Children ranging form 11,10,8,5,4 and 1 year old was diagnosed with stage Three Colorectal Cancer after the birth of her last Child.

Amina has already overcome several huge hurdles with God's grace and strength, having undergone colostomy surgery and several hospital stays requiring blood transfusion. She has lost weight significant amount of weight from 64kg to 39kg.The doctors has observed that her condition will not work respond well with chemo,surgery and radiation because her rectal cancer is attached to her bone.Currently she looks like a an aneroxic patient and is weak,needing blood transfusion every 2 months and unable to eat required food intake to gain weight .

Amina is considering taking up alternative treatment in Germany OR Mexico which will cost her 6000 Euros per week for two months to recover fully. She had raised 3000 Euros and will require more financial commitment for proper medical treatment

What we know so far is that she was diagnosed with Colorectal cancer
She had surgery to remove part of the colon in September 2014 and has a colostomy
She needed multiple blood transfusions.
She has lost a significant amount of weight
She is not in a state to receive chemo and radiation hence the advice to explore alternative therapies which are not currently available in Nigeria and are costly


Every little help counts and may Allah bless you as you reach out to this woman.

We have some of the medical reports so far and we have requested for more to have a better understanding of the current situation as well as the plan moving forward

My father got in on Friday Dec. 12, submitted form DS 117 and paid the fees. He was given a page with a list of items to bring.

Complete a form DS- 260
Get Police report
Obtain medical exam/clearance
Pay visa fee of $230* not sure if this is in addition to the $205
Affidavit of Support
Some additional documents-----


He was not given a date for an interview. I emailed LagosIV@state.gov on Saturday 13th because he got his police report and visited the clinic for the medical on the same Friday, 12th Dec. I explained that he will receive his medical report on Tuesday, Dec. 16th and I asked for an interview date. Other than the automated response, I have yet to get a date. I sent another email last night asking for an interview date.

There are only two options for the unseen that a muslim needs to know about, angels and jinns. If another genre was important for us to know about, we would have been told.

I. When angels appear to ordinary people, they do so in complete human form and for a specific purpose. They do not keep appearing to people when that purpose is fulfilled, no matter how much Quran you recite. The angels are present but not visible unless a particular message is to be delivered.

Their appearance has no purpose continously because one is already blessed by their unseen presence.

Not even in the time of the sahaba, which the prophet described as the best generation did you have angels visiting multiple people because they recited Quran.


Ii. The jinns are all around us and are interacted with more often.

It is obvious to me that the ruhaniyah are most likely from the second genre, the jinn, given

I. The frequency of appearance

Ii. The lack of a defined purpose.

I do think that many get lost into contacting an evil jinn thinking they are contacting 'ruhaniyah'. They get deceived into sins as a result.

That is why such communication is not even permissible.

How do you distinguish one from the other??

Muslims, please refer back to the basics of your deen for guidance. I beg you.

When you use the word ONLY, it sounds so absolute to me. And I would agree if the Quran says something to this effect. However, I don't subscribe to thinking that my own version/understanding of the deen is the only right way and ALLAH knows best.
I would suggest that arguments do not help us much as muslims. In this thread, we have been able to learn a few things, (or at least I have)

1. No one here supports praying in the nude as it is unIslamic
2. It is a bad idea to pray and do Dhikrs for any other purposes other than to earn the pleasure of ALLAH; just to be close to him
3. Meddling with jinns by using prayers (or other Arabic non muslim texts aka ofo) to run errands for you is UNISLAMIC
4. When you get closer to Allah, all other things are made easy for you
5. Only Allah knows your intention (better than you) when you engage in plenty acts of worship


May Allah make us of those who are truly successful in this world and the next, Amin.

I have learned a lot here. One thing though is if you do more dua, you will experience things that are "strange" and sound unbelievable to those who have not.

A lot of us want to be closer to Allah but when the requests start to get granted, we "freak out".

Please watch Yusuf Estee video(s) on Youtube that defines Islam and who a muslim is, then the verses will make more sense. Also, when you read the Quran where these verses come from, read the verses prior to and after the quoted verse to avoid "quoted out of context verses".

That why the islamic creed say,lahila ah hilala hi muhammadu rasulilahi which mean I believe in allah and. Muhammad is his messenger. In other word muhammad is the only prophet in islam.

This is a blatant attempt to mislead people. How did you arrive at the "in other word" part of the translation? You quote the verses and add your own little piece to it.
Don't you know that "Thou shalt not add nor remove from The Message"? Or have you become a Quran scholar already?

Any muslim with understanding of the religion knows that the Message includes the following

1. Belief in the Oneness of God
2. Messengers and Prophets of God
3. Revelations (Quran)
4. Angels
5. Day of Judgement
6. Predestination


Open your heart and seek the truth. Pray to God for guidance and May Allah have mercy upon you and me too.

I went to a Federal school too, in the North. Prior to that I had minimal contact with that many kids from other tribes and I have not been indoctrinated to believe the worst about people for the fact that they are different; thank God.

I saw the good, bad and ugly of chritians, muslims, pagans, Yoruba, hausa, ibo, ijaw, urhobo, Fulani, jukun, kilba to name a few. I could not say by statistics that one group of people were better, worse or uglier than the other based simply on their hometown or religion. This is the aim (or should be) of federal schools.
Unfortunately for someone who at age 9, 10 or 11 has already been brainwashed into believing the worst about a certain group simply because they are not his/her group, the eyes to see people as people are greatly impaired and diminished. SOme people know it in their hearts but prejudice clouds their reasoning and they speak against what they know to be true.

You quoted from the Quran but you failed to realize that the first man worshiped God alone, associating no partners with Him. It is the same for every prophet or messenger sent to a people. They give the message but as time goes on, people begin to deviate and erect edifices/symbols/images to represent God. This is idolatry. The message becomes polluted with these inventions. The average man wants to see/feel/touch to believe. Allah is The Unseen and absolute belief in Him is the only way.
