@visla good points made. its not that we are against hiring a foreigner as coach but like u said the time is too short to get one who is technically & tactically sound

well the egyptians are a cohesive unit but their recent heartbreak of not qualifying for the world cup might still be telling on them so we can hit them now that they are down. however something tells me the match will end in a draw.

@sagamite guy easy! yes i know it can be exasperating when people refuse to be objective but just continue to win them over with superior arguments rather than descend to insults and name calling ok. keep up the good analysis cool

@amodu critics first of all i'm not an amodu fan but for goodness sake the man has qualified us(twice) without losing a match. love him or hate him he's our own and needs support and constructive criticism not armchair calls for a foreign coach(loads of whom failed to qualify other countries). so if u feel amodu must go please tell us a coach who in this short period can turn our team into world beaters taking into consideration our current crop of players, style of play, operating environment etc. no one has a monopoly of knowledge so i'm waiting to be educated

Sports › Re: African World Cup Without African Coach by ayusco: 1:07pm On Dec 06, 2009
dude u are spot on. do know that amodu was the only black coach @ the world cup draws? being african i'm proud we are leading the way in entrusting one of our own with a huge assignment such as the world cup. yes amodu is tactically deficent but like some one wrote sia1 can be drafted to the coaching team
Sports › Re: FIFA South Africa 2010 World Cup Draw - Cape Town by ayusco: 1:07pm On Dec 05, 2009
@binghinya guy i think u r being abit too pessimistic yes the argies have beaten us most times but those were close hard fought games against teams with world class players but if we can up r game & with some luck anything can happen

as for greece like u rightly said they r ex-european champs but that was back in 2004 and it was a freakish win at that based on hyper-defence play these days they r still defence minded but lack the personnel of 04. player for player we r better and if we play as a team should be able to beat them.

korea yes they beat us in u-20 but we also beat holland in the same tourney does that today make us better than the dutch? like with greece player for player we have more quality. so with good prepin & determination we should qualify from the group. Anyways best of luck SE but if una fail to pass ur group then una be confirmed superless fowls

Sports › Re: Is Yobo Amodu's Dependable Defender? by ayusco: 11:07am On Dec 03, 2009
that yobo guy na enigma. i mean he has all the attributes to be a world class defender(big & strong, reasonably quick, good in the air, comfortable on the ball) but the guy lacks football brain. not to mention his knack for effing up @ the most crucial time(own goals, lack of decisiveness, loss of concentration) but alas he's the best we'v got sad adeleye should be given another chance though. him & apam looked descent at the beijing olympics

just read the arseblogger wow that guy is such a breath of fresh air. his analysis on the henry issue couldn't be more spot on, and gees people are talking as if TH14 scored the goal with his hand yes he handled the ball passed to gallas but no mention of the irish defender who allowed gallas to get in front of him in the first place. anyways to todays game i just have a bad feelin bout are match but we should pull through 2-1  cool gallas & Rozzi scoring

guys just culled this from bbc 606 site mad funny grin grin grin grin grin

It the summer of 2009,

ring ring, ring ring,

Hughes: "Hello".

Wenger: "Mr Hughes, this is Arsene Wenger"

Hughes: "Ah, erm, hello Arsene"

Wenger: "I am calling to tell you to stop tapping up Adebayor and Toure"

Hughes: "I am not Arsene, honestly, " (gigglies)

Wenger: ", because they are soooo important to us. We are a broken team without them - i will NEVER let you have them!"

Hughes: "Well Arsene we'll just have to see, " (puffed out chest and victorious manner)

Wenger; " You're really doing a number on me Mark. Please dont take my players, "

Hughes: "Well Arsene, a managers got to do what a managers got to do." (self importance oozing)

Wenger: "These players are worth so much to us, you'll never get them for less than £40m!!!! So there!!!!"

Hughes: "Peanuts to us Arsene. We're coming for you and we're going to take Europe by storm!!!!"

Wenger: "i have to go, i dont feel well, "

Hughes lounges back in his chair and dreams of all the European glory and accolades on the way. I've got Wenger by the b%lls!! I'm the big man now!!!!!

Wenger hangs up and turns to the rest of the boardroom. Hill Wood, Kroenke, Fiszman, et all are all stony silent.

Wenger : "It's ok, he's gone"

ALL: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

Hill Wood: "Brilliant Arsene. I just cant believe it, £40m!!!! £40m!!!!!! For Toure & Adebayor!!!!!!!! Werent you dropping them anyway this year?!"

Wenger : "Yes, but dont tell anyone. They may still not go for it. We need to keep this deadly quiet. Dont forget the Anelka deal, people will be on the look out for us. This is only possible because we've got Hughes with bundles of cash. But if he gets wind of it, "

Kroenke: "Dont worry. From now on I am saying NOTHING. Nada."

Current day,

Arsene : "Stan, you can speak now. Honestly, we have the £40m. He went for it hook line and sinker"

Kroenke : ", but surley they'll sue. Just look at how they have played. Surely we cant get away with it??!!!"

Arsene: "Stan, dont worry. This is the premiership. Robbie Keane went to Liverpool for £20m"

Kroenke: "Robbie Keane!!! What?!!!!!!!!! I just dont get this league. I'll just buy the shares, but i'm not talking to anyone. I might look stupid"

Arsene: "Thats ok Stan. Leave it to me."

Kroenke: "Ok. Arsene. You da man"

guns still blazing grin nice result from the guys but our complacency is still a worrying factor all said and done gr8t result. seriously speaking though our defence needs to concentrate for the full 90 minutes against top 4 sides we would b punished because all they is a sniff of blood. in all honesty i think we are still 2 players short of winning this league guaranteed. cover for song and another experienced defender to cover for gallas and verminator. if we keep playing like this we might still snatch this league but caution is the word. oga sharon y are you screaming like a banshee on speed? abeg face ur impending disgrace today.

Poems For Review › Grey Skies Through My Window by ayusco(op): 12:52pm On Nov 01, 2009
Grey skies through the window
Doesn’t matter what you call it in any lingo

Its meaning so poignant like a cold draft of wind
That sends chills up your spine creates goose pimples on your skin.

It manifests as fear it thrives in depression
It attacks all creeds peoples of every nation

Mists on high that blanket our view
Oh for that precious sunny light that springs life anew

Walking aimlessly like a confused band
Oh for the good shepherd to lead us by the hand

Lead from the front illuminate our way
Our star by night sun by day

Clearing our path of thorns and mines
Opening our road up to a place so divine

No more clouded senses dimmed lenses
Nor road blocks or high fences

Just a sparkling presence
Part of eternity’s essence

Oh can’t wait to grace that splendorous place
Alas I have to wait

And make do while the wind blows
The grey skies I see through my window

Osama Bin Laden sent out a new video to prove he was still alive, in it he said Spurs were rubbish recently,And that arsenal would win 3-0. But Britsh intelligence dissmissed it saying: ''That could have been recorded anytime in the last 8 years

But perhaps the most ridiculous example is the threat by Bayern Munich fans to boycott the recent Keanu Reeves apocolyptoporn flick The Day the Earth Stood Still, after scenes of the Allianz Arena disintegrating grin were included in the film without permission.

"We were not informed and were also not asked for permission," said the club's media director Markus Hoerwick. "It is not to our benefit for the Arena to be represented in such a way."
