Oga it's high time we live by the truth. Stop defending evil. Ihedioha is a mistake to Imo state government. Up till now he has not started work, he's still paying workers 70% Rochas introduced which he himself condemned outrightly and promised to pay full if he becomes the governor. What of pensioners, after much generated furore he paid just 2months. He is building stadium in all the 27LGAs of Imo state, is that what the people want?

Sister, unbehalf of uncle abagworo and uncle chino, we are very sorry. I too, was pained to the bone going through this thread. Dad is from Imo (oru west) and mum is from Anambra (Ihiala), I can claim any state with pride, so why all this division? Like uncle b2mario will say, if Anambra is the only Igbo speaking state in Nigeria then, Igbos would be a minority in Nigeria. Today, we are still trying to convince the Ikwerres and parts of delta north to accept there Igbo identity, after seeing this dirty thread, do we expect them to want to identify as Igbos? If this is how we will live when Biafra comes then is better we opt for true federalism in Nigeria. Among all the tribes in Nigeria Igbo is the one that respect and care for women the most. I can see that you are being deceived by what you watch on Nigerian movie. We have a good system for settling of dispute and our culture does not allow injustice. We show care, respect and kindness to widows to the extent that the rich ones among us train their children, build houses for them and place some of them on payroll. Even our governors and wives build houses for them which I've not heard anything like that coming from your place.

According to some people; things were cheaper in Aba. But the Roads to Aba is like the biblical roads to heaven, so hard and narrow.

My customer told me how the roads to Aba and inside Aba have frustrated business men like him out of Aba.

Some of us grew up to hear of " Aba made ". A kind of substandard products made in Aba. That was before the emergence of "Made in China" Also a kind of substandard products from china.

The once strong city, Enyimba city has not received enough support from both the state and the federal government.

Aba used to be a trade zone for manners of items; leather shoes, rubber shoes, nylon products, plastic products, already made clothes, name it, Aba was the center of it all. Aba attracted people from neighboring countries and different parts of the country.

Aba went from hot to cold. From once a pride giant to now a sleeping giant.

Aba needs a bailout from the federal government. Nigeria can not survive only from agricultural produce. It is not enough to tell people to go back to farm, the government has to tell people also to go back to their shops. We have to make our shoes, our cloths, our toothpicks etc.
Currently President Trump is bailing banks in America.

The roads in and around Aba should be fixed. The roads leading to Aba should be fixed. There should be steady power supply to Aba. And security should be given priority in Aba.

Aba is a major industrial city.

I've now confirmed that you are no way close to Imo state or know the state too well. You are an enemy of the state. I was in Imo state last two weeks, the two Bridges are ok and have long been put into use. Ihedioha closed one with red muds claiming that his committee recommended that it must be closed. Go to imo state and confirm the right information and stop relying on what you read on newspapers and nairaland.

Ihedioha thinks he's fighting Rochas not knowing that indirectly he's vindicating him. He has shown the world that truly Rochas built two flyovers and tunnels, an international cargo airport, 10 higher institutions, a state of art federal high court, police headquarter, a prison complex, created 20,000 jobs through 2016, 2017and 2018.

Rochas built 8 warehouses at the outskirts of the IMO airport. Where is the new cargo airport? Even the 8 warehouses he built was commissioned by VP Osibanjo, so what should Ihedioha do again? Airport projects are under FAAN and not state govt. You guys should take whatever that comes out from rochas against the new governor with caution cos uche nwosu recently paid some youths to create via online blogs the impression that Ihedioha is only after destroying Rochas legacies. Tension in Imo as youths resist attempt to raid Okorocha’s home
…we went to recover govt properties - Committee Chair

There was palpable tension in Owerri, the Imo State capital as angry youths resisted attempt to break into the private residence of the immediate past governor of the State, Rochas Okorocha by members of the taskforce set up by the government to recover government property.



It will be recalled that the Recovery Committee led by Jasper Ndubuaku had in similar manner raided the business places of the daughter and wife of the former governor, in search of stolen property belonging to the state government, which they claimed where hidden in the business premises.

However the plan to raid Okorocha’s Spibat home, expansive premises that houses the Rochas Foundation College of Africa, was met with stiff opposition as irate youths barricaded the entrance to the compound.

Angered by the perceived harassment of the former governor, the youths were said to have pounced on the Chairman of the Committee and his men had escaped, sensing danger.

Simultaneously, while the Ndubuaku-led Committee was trying to gain access to Okorocha’s home, thousands of youths believed to have been mobilized by the state government had laid ambush for the former governor at the Sam Mbakwe Airport, who was reported to be visiting the state.

But they had to disperse after it was discovered that Okorocha was not returning to the state as they had believed.

Meanwhile, briefing journalists after the incident at Okorocha’s home, Ndubuaku, said that he was attacked by thugs camped at Okorocha’s compound.



According to him, he went to the former governor’s home to recover government properties that were hidden in the premises.

He said, “We went to search the compound with valid Court Order and inventory of the government properties we want to recover, but when we got to the gate, the security men collected the inventory and asked us to wait, while they check if the items were there.

“While we were still waiting, some armed thugs came out from the compound and attacked us, I was shot severally and cut with machete but it could not pierce my body.”

Meanwhile reacting to the incident, the former governor, said that the attempted invasion of his private home by agents of the state government without any Court Order, was a continuation of the harassment meted out to him and his family members by the Emeka Ihedioha led administration.

A statement signed by the Media Adviser to the former governor, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, read, “our attention has been drawn to the Press Conference held today, August 29, 2019 by the Chairman, Imo State Property Recovery Committee Mr. Jasper Ndubuaku accusing the former governor of the State Owelle Rochas Okorocha recruiting thugs to attack him and his team when they wanted to invade the private residence of the former governor at Sipbat, Owerri. And we want to simply state as follows:

“The former Governor, Owelle Okorocha has not been in Owerri for days now. Mr. Ndubuaku stormed the private residence of the former governor at Sipbat with more than 700 thugs and he had informed the public when his committee was set up that he had recruited 6000 youths to help him recover government properties.



“They were about to surge into the Sipbat residence of the former governor when the information came and youths with sympathy for the former governor rushed to the place to stop them.

“Ndubuaku and his thugs were there without any Court Order. And they have failed or refused to publish whatever they think the former governor has in his possession which they think belongs to the government as we had demanded. They had also in one of their invasions slapped the daughter of the former governor, Mrs. Uloma Rochas Nwosu”.

It continued that, “their hostility against the former governor has snowballed since they saw the mammoth crowd that received him when he came back the previous week which was the first of such visit since he left office on May 29, 2019.

“Governor Ihedioha should pursue peace and ensure peace. Trying to engage his predecessor in all fronts isn’t advisable”

In Imo State Okorocha controls Orlu zone, Araraume controls Okigwe zone while Ihedioha controls only 3 local governments of Mbaise and Iwuanyanwu controls the rest of Owerri zone.

I was in Imo state last 3 weeks and I confirmed everything I wrote above. Owerri people are not happy with Ihedioha because of his actions so far and some are still wondering how he won.

They are very pained about how Ihedioha removed some of the iron crossed street lights, attempted to destroy Akachi tower, brought insanity to Owerri, appoint old named politicians and abandoned Owerri roads. He destroyed and terminated some Rochas' policies and projects that have direct implications to the livelihood of the people. Every true imolite can confirm this.

Those relying on media to condemn Rochas are just deceiving themselves. PDP really wasted money on media thinking that it will pay not knowing that truth will always stand.

This government think that they are fighting Rochas while indirectly showing that Rochas touched all the sector of Imo state.
-He created 20,000 jobs under youths must work which is under investigation under this government while 3,000 employed in 2018 have already been sacked leaving 2016 and 2017.
- He created 6 new universities, and 4 polytechnics and colleges which ihedioha closed 7 leaving only 3.
- He built more than 32 hospitals which the present government has refused to equip the ones he couldn't equip.
- He gave amnesty to cult boys terrorising Ohaji-egbema axis so as to enable outright security in the state. But Mr. Property recover has threatened to remove the policy.
- He gave free education to all levels, which rumor has it that the present governor is planning to terminate it.
- During his time, he gave appointments to virgin politicians empowering new people while this present governor is bringing back the old thieves in Imo state.
- Markets in the major cities and rural communities took new and good shape under him.
- He gave free school uniform to Imo school children.
- He built 2 new stadia in Orlu and Okigwe.
- He did urban renewal in Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe.
- He created so many roads in Imo state.
- He refurbished Imo international cargo airport, built state of art federal high court and prison headquarter which are federal government projects according to the present governor. But should a good governor allow his state to decay just because some projects belongs to federal government?

The list is endless. He built international conference center, trade and investment center, palace of Imo traditional rulers in Owerri. The wife empowered youths and built houses for widows.

More drama is going from Imo state if the present governor continue the way he is going. Let he start work and leave Rochas and his family alone. Imo state is a mess now while other state governors have gone far with the development of their state.
