They gave everyone a large, cool looking waste bin with a logo on it. They come to my hood every wednesday and I'v never touched a bin to empty it, they pick up the bins, empty it and return it. I stay in Ikosi-Ketu. I'll score them 8/10. |
hollandis: foooolll ,,is that a necessary question?Frankly, I don't think anyone cares if you return or not. Why are you so bitter?? Is it really the topic?? Why call him a fooooolll for asking a simple question?? |
Sincere 9gerian: The governor and chief executive of the centre of excellence commissioning STREET LIGHTS? Wonders shall never end. SmhIf you know the amount of people that have been Robbed, Rape6 and killed on that bridge due to the darkness for decades, you won't make your comment. |
ngozievergreen: Liar. Liar. Liar. U think there are no enugu residents here. Carry your wishful thinking to the shopright ibadan where 102 000 will visit and d after sales will be 35k.Someone makes a joke about the Ibadan Shoprite and you're already passing it off as Fact??.....SMH for you. Makes me wonder how many more facts you've generated out of jokes on this Forum. |
Dotman01: apart from the population . . . . the hospitality of Ibadan people is second to none. Thanks for that addition. That is the most important factor. No matter the resource or skill residents of a location have, it becomes of little effect when they're not welcoming. |
Ibadan has its good areas, it has its bad areas but it also has something that makes it an investors destination....A large population that has purchasing power. Keep laughing at the brown rusty roofs while the city keeps developing. |
Sincere 9gerian: The cash will come in packages of development. Before 2019, among other goodies, you'll be able to travel from Lagos to Abuja and vice versa under 3hrs and 30minutes by speed train.I really pray that is realized......Pls, uninterrupted power supply first. |
Sincere 9gerian: Notwithstanding his ACN affiliation, I think Ba7man qualifies to be on the list. Ba7man has, so far, been constructive and SINCERE in his criticisms. He has not been part of 'operation crush the vultures' but he is not also a vulture. In the end, he MAY eventually vote for APC/ACN at gubernatorial elections and GEJ at the presidential election. But so far, he has been sincere even in his disagreement with some of us.Pls, is G.E.J going to share cash to those on the list?? If "YES", add me sharply and I'll forward my bank details to you....if "NO"........If ACN/APC fail to find a better alternative to G.E.J, we'll have to cut him the slack till 2019. |
Wow.....God bless everyone that rallied round to assist this family......But someone needs to tell Mr Obuh to lay off unprotected sex. As you guys are digging him out of the hole he's in, he's pouring the sand right back in with his love for unprotected sex. Another baby?? |
edoyad: Personally, I think even those suya and local food vendors can be captured in the master plan. A food center/market of sort can be created, so tourists can have a taste of local delicacies. But it would have to be well planned with high standards for hygiene and what not set from the get go.Smart thinking. |
awodman: Sincere 9igerian abeg put ba7man name for that list sharp sharp...can't you understand his approach to lobbyingAbeg...There are people on that list that are heavy stains. From a neutral stand point. |
With some of the people @Sincere 9igerian included on the list, it looses credibility. I can spot some hateful individuals and bigots on the list and he's encouraging and them....This is a classic case of People congratulating themselves for being able to bend down and see their opponent's ar5es....forgetting that theirs is wide open in the process. |
stebell: My man I tot yu hv put dis thread behind yu. Don't be too obsessed wit dis thread abeg yu.Don't mind me jooor. I've been in a foul mood nd i've been feeding the rage. I almost forgot these millitants are saints compared to Boko Haram. |
Eko Ile: Or any other village governor in that area apart from Amaechi..I'm sure Gov Fashola is way ahead of them but they could also be silent with their own achievements too. |
Cool to see that work didn't slow down right after the sand filling. I hope they're able to achieve up to 80 percent of its appearance on those 3-D rendered pics of it. We need more projects like this in this Country...With the money stolen by past and present leaders, I'm sure we can afford to develop 5 more cities like this conveniently. |

atlwireles: why not go and shot them to death yourselfFhools that run around kidnapping for money and blowing up Oil installations thereby poluting the air, soil and rivers used by their own people, masking as freedom fighters deserve to be shot. Are you trying to make an excuse for their rascally behaviours?? If they keep it up like they did in the creeks, they won't like their end, we're working towards a sane society and we don't need their kind to add their stoopidity to the one on ground already.........Well, they're still saner than Boko Haram though. |
stebell: No wahala here jus to let yu kno dat I'm wit yu. I D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ see yu. Come feel #FRESH AIR#.Ok ooo.....I see you too but na #SPLIT UNIT AC# me i dey sha. |
sambos994: Billions of dollars went the DRC, and what did they do with it? Aid is like bribing. They give it to get what they want, resources. Africa should be the richest continent in the world, but other countries are exploiting us.....and to cover it up, they give money which politicians eat up. Like I said, we don't need the US. They're not going to solve our problems. What we don't need is leaders that sell this country for peanuts. |
DJTee: Spot on...if this were GEJ, he would have been labelled clueless as usual. But we can now read between the lines and distill rhythm from all the noise... W will call a spade exactly what it is; no more no moreThis Governor commissions everything from a Sandfilled ocean to a retirement home......Why you mad? G.E.J should use the Trillions of Naira at his disposal to provide stable power supply nationwide and see if all, even the opposition won't sing his praises....That should be his priority. |
Sincere 9gerian: Its not even about one username. Its about a TEAM that stood out for the TRUTH.The "TRUTH" can be relative to different individuals based on their perception and experiences. And also, the more you know, the more you should know that you really don't know. There's always a lot of truths behind the truth. Including some people on your list discredits you.....(Based on my perception) the same way i also can't fault an individual like @Rossike. |
Sincere 9gerian: At Tinubu's Square. Lol.. But seriously, cant you see that the atmosphere on NL has changed for good?I have to commend you on your ability to draw a crowd and carry your people along......even though i don't agree with a number of their opinions. I hope u use it for a greater good and not for blind support. |
stebell: My guy yu D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ here.Damn!! You don carry your wahala come here. |
Nten: sharrap ther!!... Shut dat gaddamn mouth... The govt is tryin 2 c how they would rehabilitate & reintegrate those guys, while u are here sayin they shuld lock them. Do u knw d havoc this guys wuld perpetuate within nd outside d jail if they do that. If u knw what a ND MILITANT is u wuld be grateful they even agreed 2 go to sch. B objective in ur rantingsWhy should we be greatful they agreed to go to school?? I keep saying it, they should be shot to death, their remains grinded and used to fertilize the soil used to grow crops.....which are obviously more useful than they are.....Do you think a sensible Nigerian gives a 5hit about them?? |
@ Siena. You just love messing around with Audis, don't you??....Nyways, I used to fantasize bout owning this particular Audi convertible and i'm still considering a 1.8T or 2.0T A4 2005/2006MY manual gear or an A3 at least (A5 prices weren't dropping as fast as i expected in the used car market). I only have trusted contacts in the U.K while I'm resident in Nigeria which means a steering wheel conversion is required once purchased. I would really love it if you could help me out with that when i'm ready. Cheers.

First to comment!!!.... I see some questionable characters on the list. #Honestly# but i reckon with you, once the person supports G.E.J and P.D.P its fine with you. |
But as it is now, nobody has bought into Fashola's idea as Eko Atlantic remains barren many years after conception and land reclamation. The only people who have bought into the idea have done that only on paper.
Relax, Lagos is an investor's paradise b'cos it has a large population available. Work is currently on-going on the site and i'v started seeing adverts of residential apartments for sale already. V.I was once strictly residential before but you need to see the high-rise buildings there now. Lekki was once barren too but now, the Govt can't keep up with the population explosion rapidly moving as far as Epe. The main center of commerce will simply move from V.I to Eko Atlantic, the same way it moved to V.I from Marina. As we speak, I'm sure banks have already purchased land there to build their new headquaters. |
@AlfaSSS. You seem to crave for attention and you're over-doing it. Its a sign of low-self esteem. |
Rooneyboy: I guess this is his political age.If a Politician is truely working, they tend to age quickly. |
Please do your research well. Eko Atlantic city is fully funded by private bodies. Lagos state counterpart funding comes in the form of the taxes leveraged for the inventors and contractor. Fashola has never released any dime for that project and the project was initially conceived to curb the ocean surge on Victoria Island residents
Definitely,You are right. He can't fund a project of that scale using state funds, it will never be enough. He has to invite investors to do it. He simply did what young entepreneurs do around the world. They come up with an idea and seek for investors to buy into it by proving it guarantees return on investments. Its a way of acheiving great things normally beyond your capacity. |
you are not really making any sense....how do you know these guys are billionaires?
There are Dollar Billionaires in Nigeria that even Nigerians aren't aware of their names........ That's the effect of corruption and knowing people in power before you can make serious progress in your business....... Nigeria has far more economic potentials that you will ever find in South Africa but corruption isn't letting the wealth spread........ Ask the South African companies that are flocking into Nigeria how their lucks turned around when they came in.......... A population of 120million to purchase your product isn't somthing you run into everyday, i just wish our local enterpreneurs and businessmen realize our potentials, rather that inviting foreign companies to exploit it. |
The Kalimba housing project in Angola can house 500,000 individuals and costed $2.2 billion to construct (Its a ghost town right now though). With the amount Akpabio receives as state allocation, he could have constructed a similar project half its size, a good road network, provided uninterrupted power supply and left the doors open for companies to struggle for space to get into Akwa-Ibom...He hasn't done anything major yet to make people flock in that direction for employment, that's why those roads are still empty. He needs a thriving population to make that State Economically viable or else all the infrastruture will remain under utillized. |
