ogb5: this thread is about bashing the people of bayelsa state as if your state is better.Dude, you don't seem to get it. When asked for evidence of different States eg. Edo, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Akwa-Ibom, Enugu, Rivers etc.....No matter how these States were "bashed", they was still some evidence that work was in progress......But we have nothing on Bayelsa State, one of the States with the largest population/allocation ratio....Of course, people are bound to get curious. |
SMH. if ujonime and other bayelsans retailate now, the people on the other side would start playing victim and pretending it wasn't them that threw the first punch. anyway ujonime and other's, just leave this thread. it was created on the sole purpose of ridiculing. why do you think i usually avoid the delta thread dem create once in awhile. If you don't want to go off, avoid.
When people asked for Fashola, Akpabio, etc achievements, pictures were provided and most people admitted that they were at least doing something. This is not an attack, you should be eager to show the works of your leaders you put in power. |
The reason why Bayelsa State remains backwards is....Rather than hold their leaders accountable, people like the @OP prefer to walk around with a false sense of accomplishment thinking "Our Oil". |
Nonsense, its the politicians that have stolen all your Oil wealth that should thank you not the common citizens...... Does this Country look or performs like an oil producing Country?? NO!!!......... Thanks to the most expensive Government in the World and some of the most corrupt leader the world has ever seen, That oil has little effect on the Country.....I'm sure most states would fare better if they look inwards than wait for those Cheap ar5e Govt allocations that a lot of non-oil Companies generate far more...... BTW, most of it is located off-shore so technically, its off the coast of Nigeria, not "ON" your lands....... @Ujoinme. How far the pics of Bayelsa State?? With the @OP's mentality, Byelsa is bound to turn into a bunkerer's paradise, piracy, complete with Millitant Warlords fighting for territory. |
I expect to see projects on the same scale or larger than Akwa-Ibom's in Bayelsa. |
To be honest, Bayelsa is like a black hole on the internet. I've seen pics of works done in various states. South Easterners are quick to put up pics of their states, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers, Ogun, Oyo.....Even pics of Northern States have been put up at one point or the other. Pics of Bayelsa State is quite scarce online. |
To those gloating....."What have you achieved with your own lives" ![]() |
I listed a couple of actions above that if GEJ can sucessfully effect some of them, it will send a far stronger message to the populace......Than Fashola arresting a millitary official for driving in the BRT lane....or prosecuting a local Govt Chairman. GEJ might even be hailed Nigeria's best president. Nigerians are very easy to please...#FACT#. What's the point of me reporting a fraudster in my office to EFCC when the President is busy rewarding far bigger fraudsters ![]() |
Acidosis: Stop dreaming mister...As President, he's in a better position to effect wide-spread change. "The leader inspires change in the people...The people shouldn't inspire change in the leader"...Is he a baby? "To whom much is given, much is expected". Don't you understand the implications of being a leader?? Why are you leading people if you can't effect change in their lives then?? You should be removed if you can't. |
A Porshe Panamera is NOT N50million in cost. Its a Merc S-class, BMW 7 Series, Audi A8 rival and its cost brand new should not exceed 20-N22Million in Nigeria for a brand new one. |
As president, If GEJ does..... (1) Re-open all large scale cases of Fraud and at least, have their names read out in a Press Confrence for all to view, collect some of the money and they are removed from positions they occupy. (2) Slash the number of Government appointments, trim down the size of his cabinet. (3) "Reduce" all salaries and perks of being in Government. (4) Reduce fuel prices for starters even if its to 75N. (5) And let us see visible effort on electricity. ........If he can achieve all this, I'm sure the Whole Country will "sit-up". |
I don't support the idea of people choosing to have low moral standards but they're simply reflecting their leaders. An organization takes the characteristics of its leader. When you have clowns ruling the country, the citizens are bound to to act a fhool too. Anointing flows from the leader to the people, not the other way around. |
If i act like a fhool in the presense of those younger than me, they'll definitely disrespect me. |
Let the games begin!!! |
bigrovar: Reading the thread makes one depressed. I have often said, our biggest problem is not illiteracy but huge number of unenlightened literate people we have. Anyone with half a brain would realize that this video was not meant for Nigerians or Lagosians, it was aimed at attracting foreign investors. It is called branding. South Africa does this with their Proudly South Africa Branding exercise, This is a country facing serious AIDS issues and with one of the highest rape/murder and crime rate in the world. Yet they have been able to show case the bright side of their country. The side they want to present to the world.. The best part of South Africa. India also does this with their Incredible India promo shown on CNN and other international TV stations. Incredible India won't tell u India is a home to over 400 million people living in abject poverty (That is almost more than the whole population of West and East & Central Africa put together) some in condition worse than sub Saharan African. Yet India has been able to showcase its best to the world.God Bless you. |
Freewilly: RUBBISH!!!Hehehehe...!!! Bad belle dey kill persin. Don't give yourself a heart-attack. |
Nnanna224: Apparently only Lagos Island constitutes Lagos State. Those skyscrapers were mostly built by Fg and investors when Lagos was federal capital. You have no personal point of view, you're just repeating what you heard from Labaran Maku......Like a voice recorder on playback. |
Its almost as if some people prefer the old Lagos where you could find mountains of refuse everywhere, dirty illegal markets along major roads, rowdy Okada riders everywhere, lawless citizens and no visible infrastructural development in progress........ There were free to do what they wanted back then and they paid no tax too. |
The Nigerian Police....The largest, Government sponsored street gang in Nigeria. |
Lolaabokoku: Can somebody pls summarise this post?.....You too. |
nekaa: 1 reason why I should read ur post?...I suspect you play matches in Spain. |
As development and enlightenment increases in the SW, more of these backward ritualistic ba5tards are being caught. They should do us the favour of executing them once they finish their confessions. |
ichidodo: abeg BLEEP yorubas jor at the end of the day foreigners and easterners will flood the whole place leaving you guys on your BOTTOM maybe you guys will wait till Nigeria breaks up to 'reclaim' your land that is if the ocean does not beat you to it.This dude speaks as if Eko Atlantic city would be filled with Automobile spare-part shops, Computer shops, fake clothes and it will have traders speaking loudly in Igbo and dragging customers to their shops. Infact, Luxurious buses will have their terminals there too. |
Nigerians are the problem with Nigeria. Its obvious from how we strive towards division while other progressive Countries are forming unions. Some might say "Our Leaders" but remember that these leaders were picked amongst the people. |
drnoel: Can't agree more, but that is Until the beach decides to reclaim the land that was stolen from it.Rather, the Ocean claimed the land so this is a reclaimation. When i was younger, you would walk a far distance from Ahmadu Bello rd before you saw the ocean but by Tinubu's era, the ocean was already threatening to wash away the same Ahmadu Bello. This project is highly needed to prevent those surges from wiping out V.I. |
I saw one in a far worse condition at the Police Station close to Ikeja high court once. It was covered in dust and all its tires were flat. I guess it must have been seized from a fraudster. |
Ijora Badiya is another crazy location. I was there yesterday and the scale of that slum is mind boggling. |
@Sincere Nigerian. These "Tinubu E warriors" are a reflection of you. You are no different, you just work for the other side. |
sigmundfreud: HaterS.He doesn't live in Lagos....He lives in Enugu. |
GOD CREATED MAN AND GAVE HIM A BRAIN TO SOLVE PROBLEMS!!!! USE YOUR BRAINS!!! STOP CONSULTING gods AND oracles....THINK!!! |
Hardfact: Is it koro, or Kolo?I thot it was Kokoro.... |
