9ja voice: @jakumoFashola is repairing a very large, over-pouplated, dirty, almost dead and decaying city While Akpabio is developing virgin territory......All with the same amount of money. Who do you think has more challenges? Fashola thinks on a far higher rate and plane than Akpabio with the problems he faces in Lagos. All Akpabio has to do is bulldoze virgin territory and build. |
9ja voice: The most destructive thing in nigeria politics is godfatherism, it is a cancerworms to our nation.I do not support Tinubu's over-bearing influence on Lagos affairs but what i believe is most important is the Candidate's drive to work. If a political candidate is working....no problem but if he refuses to do meaningful work, to hell with him and his Godfather. People have tolerated Tinubu's excesses so far because his chosen candidates have a passion for their work but the moment all that changes, trust that he will be booted out of whatever position of influence he holds. |
9ja voice: Media hype plus media hype equals to propaganda.Don't you dare compare them. One is managing one of the most populated cities in the world(And this City has major problems too) effectively and the other is managing a population of 4million on almost the same amount of monthly allocation (In which Fash had to get creative to meet up to Akwa-Ibom's amount). Don't you have a balanced sense of discretion? |
Nonsense story. Do you think $13.8 Billion is that easy to come by in any economy in the world?? How much is Nigeria's budget sef?? |
Nonybb: Nigerians are so ungrateful, u knw how it was during OBJ regime. Can anyone of u talk this way without attracting EFCC's wrath engineered by OBJ?. Politicians and social critics have really abused there freedom of speechThis below is your situation. So because OBJ prosecuted people for speaking during his regime, you should forever keep-shut and not speak-up in the face of all this Social, Political and Economic ills plaguing this country??
|
CAMEROONPRIDE: what's your point? she in the presidential villa because she's married to the president. period nothing more nothing less. Anyway I wasn't even referring to her presence in the presidential palace. who cares?Common sense remains a constant regardless your Country of origin. This dude you're arguing with is the kind of stone-heads that hold Nigeria back. If a criminal is rich, they'll worship him regardless. Slave mentality. Because an individual holds a public position that allows them to loot the National treasury, they automatically belive the person is superior to them and should not be reproached. |
The call for the debate is unecessary. Any sane person knows who's I.Q is far higher.....#FACT# |
Place her side by side with Michell Obama and ask the question again. |
Amaechi's camp wouldn't want to start targeting Wike with bombs. Its too obvious. |
Denrele might be lousy and has a weird dress sense but he's actually a very nice guy in person. |
solomon111: So?Don't forget to add that it's Your personal opinion.....not a #FACT#. |
texaco1: What I know is that there have been cooked up stories by all sorts of people to discredit mr president and the first lady,if u have no concrete proof then all the insults on the first lady is absolutely uncalled for.We all know the truth in this country but we choose to be blind to it due to sentiment, tribal attachments, political party afilliation etc. The truth will always out-live lies, no matter how it's denied. I stand with Prof Soyinka on this one. |
texaco1: Ok my guy ,I asked a question but u are dodging it.show me an example of pej excesses and pls don't quote sahara reporters.I refuse to give you examples b'cos I'm baffled by your inability to admit what you already know. |
texaco1: Pls kindly give an example of one of her actions which u think is an embarrassment and also a comment too.we need to get some fact sorted out hereI don't think you are Nigerian. |
Lets be honest with ourselves....P.E.J is an embarassment to not only to G.E.J but to Nigerians with her utterances and her actions. She needs to reduce her thirst for the limelight because she makes a blunder 8 out of 10 times she does. Let's not let sentiments cloud our judgement. |
With the monumental floods that ravaged Delta and other States in the East last year, they should be shut down? With floodings in the UK, USA, China and other far developed countries, the affected states should be shut down?? At least, cars can still drive through most of Lagos floods but watch CNN yesterday and see real floods wash away 7 storey buildings in large numbers in China. Una neva see flood. The LASG launched a campaign for over the past 5years to stop people throwing trash into drainages, building on flood plains and embarked on constructing larger covered drains along roads and you'll still go and shut them down?? As if it was Fashola that encouraged the construction of sub-standard builds around Lagos State in the 80's and 90's that are currently collapsing. If he carries out structural tests on these buildings and starts demolishing them, I'm sure its the same set of people that will come out and start screamin "He's anti-people". Pls, the stooopidity of this topic is deep and I'll play no more part in this before i start appearing daft for argueing with dafts. |
serinavagz: It happened 19th March, I was into a relationship with a wealthy man unknown to me he was HIV/AIDS positive, I told him to use condom but he convinced me and had an unprotected sex with me , last year I notice my health was very bad and even people around me were asking what happened to me, I decided to do a test the Doctor in St Philomena told me I am HIV/AIDS positive, At first it seemed the world was falling apart for me, I attempted suicide twice until a very good friend of mine told me how her HIV/AIDS was cured by a spell caster Dr Ikedi Ero, i summoned courage and contacted him and he told me that HIVIDIUM C2 CYRUP HERBAL REMEDY DRUGS CURE HIV/AIDS FASTER AND FOREVER. he prepared the HIVIDIUM C2 CYRUP HERBAL REMEDY DRUGS for me, And i applied it under his directives and i started noticing a change, after 3 weeks, i went for another test and i was declared negative. All thanks to Dr. Ikedi.HIV isn't detected in the human body for about 6months and it incubates for a duration of years before it starts to affect it's host's health. Think before you follow that link. You have been warned. "Spell Caster" indeed.... |
Babat(Man)unde. I used the 7 becos "Batman" has been taken....I think. |
ilugunboy: Sorry bro...I was actually typing out my reply earlier when I noticed that 've been rudely banned till end of July!!Cool. Aiii bro. |
ilugunboy: That' is my route and am yet to leave the house...thanks for the head up. Need to go through. "Ikosi inside" to burst out at Caleb exit route then. That's my hood bro. I'll wait for you at Caleb. We could go drink at CMD. |
I'm seriously looking forward to a confrontation between Sincere Nigerian and Sincere 9gerian. Facts, allegations and counter allegations will be traded like punches, cans of worms freely distributed for all......It will be epic!!! |
rozayx5: ..Hey, Government supplied tap water runs in my house. Hardly use it but it runs. I rep Ikosi. |
EmperorOlu: `Though your delivery is acidic.....its the truth. We need foreign investors to move in and show how its done since a lot of Nigerians refuse to seize the initiative. |
Emmadani: thank GOD,na u use ur mouth talk say na commercial capital.Just know dat lagos state need odas to work,as a commercial capital it should b d most developed in the country. So stop singing lagos and fashola asif thr is anytin special. As a commercial capital it should b fully developed. Before Tinubu/ Fashola Governed Lagos, Lagos was.... (1)One of the dirtiest States in Nigeria with piles of garbage by the roadside. (2) Molues ruled the transport biz and they even plyed V.I. (3)V.I was on the verge of being washed away. (4) Insecurity was rife all over the state,Armed robbery and traffic robbery was common. (5) No streetlight worked. No project was being carried out, illegal markets blocked roads, beggers filled everywhere, people lived under bridges, ghettos sprang up in different locations at will, no form of traffic control, people rode against traffic, indiscipline was the order of the day....etc. They both took charge and reversed all these problems mentioned above, resulting in a boost in investor's confidence. This brought investments in from all over the country, diaspora and foreigners too. Who else would you say is responsible?? A large number of potential investors just received a telepathic urge that make them flock down to Lagos to start investing?? They were attracted by what they saw. A Governor like Akpabio is also on the right path, Akwa-Ibom should just be prepared to tackle the attendant problems that come with mass immigration of people into the State, something Lagos has been struggling with for decades. |
So most of those ladies forming and saying..."I'm going to give birth in UK" have all been exploiting the UK health system. £200 is still a fair price to have access to their healthcare system. "London oni baje oo". |
Emmadani: and the large workforce in lagos is also made up of non-lagosians.Morethan half. And u think al d business buildings in lagos are al built by lagosians?Of course, Lagos being the commercial capital is a contribution of different tribes but its also the most welcoming State to entertain different tribes doing bizness in peace. Thanks will go to its locals for permitting that. |
omar22: The work force in Nigeria Lagos has more than half of it, the PAYE instead of that to be going to the National treasury it would be going to lagos, then we move unto corporate tax; They are more companies in Victoria Island than the whole of Nigeria. You need to see the rate at which Corporate high-rise buildings are being constructed in V.I. There's nothing like it going on anywhere else in this country at the moment. |
Emmadani: abeg guy u no get anytin to say. Then y are lagosians bhavin as if sum part of lagos is beta dan other parts of nigeria.Asif lagos as turned to dubai overnite. Its not about what you see, its about what you don't see. The average resident in Lagos, Rich or poor, Hausa, Igbo, youruba, Itsekiri, etc is always more competitive nd exposed on the average than their equivalent counterparts in other regions. The richest people in Lagos are entrepreneurs, the richest in Abuja are Politicians and in the east are traders..... Even a lot of low class areas in Lagos have more money in circulation in them than some state capitals. |
Emmadani: I swear niger delta militants una dey dull,na when FG don turn abuja and lagos to dubai finish b4 una eye open. And by dat tym oil no go get value again like b4.Millitancy and threats of violence scare away investors, not attract them. |
EmperorOlu: I do not live in soweto because Soweto homes are most government issued free RDP houses issued to South Afrcans citizens. That being said you make it sound like living in soweto is a bad thing. Now let me educate you on what you are clueless about ,show me one road in Nigeria which is as sound as this road leading into soweto :Dude, I've been following all you've been saying. Even a 6 year old knows that Nigeria is messed up so you've said nothing new......... Anbody can Criticize but real people propose solutions and act on it. You obviously talk too much which proves you're likely an "All talk, little or no action" person. The easiest thing to do is sit in a far away location and criticize people in the thick of it.......Its like watching a match on TV and insulting the players when all you're doing is sitting on your butt and mouthing off. Your input remains irrelevant to the situation. |
Seriously are we just discussing about street lights over a bridge alone or is there more to this news I can't see, because if there's this much noise over street lights then I can imagine what will happen when a bridge is completed. I guess I should start appreciating Akpabio more for the street lights on my street (Ewet Housing for people who wish to confirm ).
There is more to that bridge. I lived in view of that bridge for years and i know how people are robbed, raped and killed with their bodies thrown into the water consistently due to the darkness, everynight for decades. I still remember my mum having her gold chain snatched under that bridge with me in the car in the mid-80's. Also, stop mentioning Akwa-Ibom when Lagos is mentioned......Dem no be mate, is the whole Uyo as big as Ikeja alone??. One less major dark-spot for criminals to operate, what's not to celebrate?? |
Billyonaire: STREET LIGHTS ? Governor ? Not commissioner ? Cheap! What has your Governor comissioned? |

Better thank South Africa for coming to Nigeria to expose your bush people to the good life.If not for shoprite your village azz will still be buying groceries in muddy markets where flies and area boys will be buzzing you every corner
