Jokes apart, TInubu is the father of someone and the manner and amount of insult hurled at that man a lot of them cannot accept it if their father was being abused like that, even those of them whose fathers are known shady characters harmonyglobal: |
This election pained you well well o.... common! Bros chill out and relax, petition is in front of tribunal and I am sure the lawyers for LP have taken note of all your allegations against Tinubu and they are going to add them together to the list of reasons why Tinubu must be disqualified...... do not however forget to help the lawyers by providing the evidences so the case can go smoothly.... Bedroom doors of homes in most European countries are not fitted with proper locks unless one decide to install barrel bolt type yourself which is the easiest otherwise you will have to alter the door frame to install a lockable type. People should not trivialize this question o, it is a reality for people living in the developed world where housing is very expensive and even if you and your wife managed to have a room to yourself it is not adequately isolated and soundproofed to prevent your nosy kids from stumbling upon Daddy and Mummy doing kerewa in the dead of the night ![]() |
Thank you bro. Has Seyi ever said he was supporting Atiku? What about the rest of the G5, was Ortom not supporting Obi? Is Seyi the only politician in the whole of Nigeria who did not support the candidates of his party at the elections? Gajagojo: |
Yeeso brother tell them about NEPOTISM, but wait is that the same thing as a governor that invested the money of his state in his family owned business of which he was a shareholder and still had the audacity to lie about the ownership of the business?.......yeas i think it is.... and also called conflict of interest in saner climates TheGift: |

It appears people do not have the full grasp of what the subsidy entails. Subsidy is not only about imported fuel. It means even locally refined products would no longer be subsidised and so even if all the refineries in Nigeria are working full blast, fuel prices would still be determined by the international price of crude oil. Yes we might save a bit on cost of freight for imported fuels, but it still would never sell for N185. Do you know that Saudi Arabia used to subsidise fuel for its people so much that a litre of oil used to be cheaper than a litre of water but even they no longer do the same again and fuel price in Saudi is now comparable to most other countries with or without oil. Fuel is now cheaper in Nigeria than Saudi , Iraq, UAE, Qatar, Oman and Russia. Of all the key players in the oil sector with prices lower than Nigeria, only Kuwait can be described as having any meaningful economic developments. The rest like Iran, Venezuela, and Angola are spending so much on subsidies at the expense of infrastructural growth https://www.globalpetrolprices.com/gasoline_prices/ frowland: |
Bros I am sorry if my tone appears to be insulting but i swear it is not meant to be. I tried to avoid using insults, but just needed to highlight that we should try to criticize constructively and not just for the sake of it. I know how the hardship will hit mostly the general populace, but the reality is that nothing good in this life comes with ease. We can envy the developed nations of this world but if we can go through their histories of development, we will find that they have passed through difficult stages like this. I have seen pictures of where people were fetching water with buckets from fire hydrants on the streets of London in the 70s due to water shortage. What about the great depression of the 30s? It is obvious that subsidy would have to go at one point and all three major contenders have said the same thing about removing it . I actually referred to Peter Obi because it mostly his Obidient lots that would continue to have issues with any steps taken by the present administration and it was meant to show that even Peter Obi said he would remove the subsidy immediately without any day longer. Lutherblaq: |
And what sort of plan are you alluding to sir? Is it the same type of 'plan' highlighted by Peter Obi when he said he was going to remove subsidy IMMEDIATELY and not a day longer? He be like people just want to talk for talking sake. Of all the moaners talking about " putting a plan in place for palliatives" I have not seen one of them give us an idea of what sort of palliatives they are referring to, how is it supposed to be administered, how long do you need to put it in place, how long will it last for and finally how would they fund it. I bet you if the President says today all low income household in Nigeria gets 500k to cushion the effect of subsidy removal, some of you eternal moaners will still have something to complain about. Anyone who has been in leadership even at a smaller level knows that you don't lead to please people, because you can never ever do anything to please all the people, all the time Lutherblaq: |
Unfortunately for your crude attempt at mockery... she has always been called Remi TInubu.... and never Remi Ahmed Tinubu toluxa1: |
Perhaps the same day when the whole of America/Canada is given back to Native Indians and Australia/New Zealand is returned to the Aborigines Goodlady: |
Do you not think that the market would have reacted the same way if any one of the three major candidates who have said they were going to remove fuel subsidy was the one sworn in on May 29th. As in the market already knew what was coming because of the campaign promises of the three candidates who were very emphatic that they would remove fuel subsidy and even PO said ' IMMEDIATELY and not a day longer' I have heard about this palliatives many times today, how exactly is this supposed to work , what are these so called palliatives, how would they be funded and for how long would they have lasted? Is that not another subsidy in disguise? Digging a hole somewhere to fill another hole..... AfonjaScud: |
"Fuel subsidy is an organised crime and I will remove it IMMEDIATELY, if I am elected President." Peter Obi “I can assure you, it will go immediately. Subsidy, I have said it before, is organised crime and I will not allow it to stay a day longer,” Peter Obi Please note the emphasis (mine) here on IMMEDIATELY.....so if Obi was sworn in on the 29th of May, it implies he would have removed it straightaway but you people continue to make it look as if he has a special plan for removing subsidy. Dont forget that any so called palliative measure is another subsidy by stealth and is also not going to be sustainable even in the short term. Yes it will casue hardship in the short run but things should stabilize hopefully as soon as possible. Let us try to be objective once in a while, no country in this world is able to effectively police its borders not even with the best of technology. Guns, drug and humans continue to be trafficked to the US and if you have watched Borderforce USA and simialr program you will come to realise the challenges of securing the border effectively. Yes there is the issue of corrupt Nigerian customs officers, but if you have carefully read several threads here you cannot but acknowledge that smugglers are becoming more and more determined and ingenious just because of the big margin they make from smuggling petroleum products. The only effective way is to make it not worth their while again, if the price differential is not a lot across border. BY the way also we keep hearing about how Tinubu opposed subsidy removal back in 2012, may i genuinely asked what was the position of Peter Obi at that time? Can anyone please tell me please, I am asking sincerely because I dont know Bobloco: |
Honestly, only an ignoramus or a mischief maker would deny this fact Nigerian petroleum products have been finding their way to Benin for decades even when all our refinery were working full blast. My first time in Cotonou in 2004 I think, I saw petrol in all odd shapes of containers being sold openly on the streets and there were filling stations also which were virtually empty. My host informed me that the roadside fuel is from Nigeria it is cheaper and of better quality than the fuel at the filling stations which were mostly imported from Libya. Yes their is usually complicity with the custom officials to smuggle fuel but you will find out also that a lot of ingenious methods are involved in the smuggling which makes it difficult to stop. Normal vehicles are fitted with extra tank capacities to move between Nigeria and the Benin, it is smuggled disguised as other products like coconut and groundnut oil, and it was widely known that most filling stations along the Idiroko and Seme borders on the Nigerian side hardly sell fuel to motorists at all. Talk less of the porous borders along Saki and further up north, The best way to discourage the smuggling is to adjust the price accordingly. Do not forget that during Buhari-Idiagbon era there was death sentence penalty for smuggling fuel and yet this did not deter the smugglers HacheNoire: |
To be very honest and I am not trying to flatter anyone, I have friends some of whom are Yorubas and others from the middle belt, and they are sensibly Obidient. They dont go about harassing everyone who says what they dont want to hear. It is however very difficult not to be stereotyped in this case because for a fact (at least from where I stand) those who are from the east generally are mostly the ones who just throw out insult anyhow. I am sure some people would have experienced this on various Whatsapp groups. The disheartening thing is that the sensible voices among the Obidients seem to have resigned to fate and allowed the senseless ones free rein to insult, abuse and curse anyone who hold a different opinion to theirs |
What are you still waiting for, go carry Obi put for Eagle Square and swear him in now...... Aust1n: |
In São Paulo, Brazil, 144 Nigerians are serving various prison terms for drug related offences. All the convicts, the NDLEA said, were from Nnewi, Anambra State. Source: thisdaylive.com ( 31/05/2023) Pleased visit the NDLEA website yourself and read about the latest arrests for drug offences home and abroad and come back and tell us which names are most prominent..... even when you are trying to avoid reading tribal sentiments into everything.... they no go gree, they must tribalise everything......what is the extra big deal in what she has achieved...we are happy for her but it is not the mother of all achievements is it? How many Nigerian musicians of all tribes have been honored abroad with keys to cities......and other equally glamorous awards.... I can even see one person insulting Awolowo., on this same matter?.......just goes to confirm the stereotype that a lot of people from that area generally lack respect for elders and authorities.....you can see the way one of their elders too greeted a first class monarch of another tribe, absolutely no sign of respect....why would anyone now blame their idle youths for shooting off their mouth at everyone including respected Men of God...... shortIGBOman: |
I guess this is our lot in Nigeria at the moment unproductive heckling! Headline " The moment Datti opened the car door for Obi" To the person who started the thread he felt like this was something special....... ordinarily I just read and gloss over such news,,, but what is happening instead... it has turned to another round of arguments on the removal of fuel subsidy and abuse and counter abuse and insults. Even if were to start a thread now titled " My he-goat is missing, please call me if found" it will only take a few lines of responses before it degenerates to Obi versus TInubu again. O ga o! |
just could not make sense of his epistleKajaard: |
He thinks he is smart, making a sweeping generalization of events which details are available for us to see as " ewedu and amala joint tales" by extension your drug allegation against Tinubu is probably from your " akpu and nkwobi beer parlour" tales Anyways, by your admission both Obi and Tinubu are criminals.......because all your response is to make comparison with Tinubu, Obi did this...........what about Tinubu....... Obi said that.........what about Tinubu..... Obi no get WAEC result to enter UNI.......what about Tinubu? There is no need wasting useful cyber time on hopeless cases like you.... not unlike dumb Trump followers who will never see anything wrong with their man......keep it up...whether you like it or not...Tinubu is your President....and I pray God to spare all our lives till the tribunal and subsequent court cases are fully completed and the full reality wil dawn on you and we shall be here to happily remind you say " we told you so" Grab a life bro and jettison your life of hatred and bitterness so that you might have inner peace" Asiwaju ti de, oko gbogbo iyalaya won, e ni ti ko dun mo ko fi ori sole...... I no blame you! Go ask Dokpesi ( May his soul rest in peace) how he begged to settle out of court when his AIT produced the documentary "Lion of Bourdillon" alleging Tinubu to be a drug Lord. All of you making mouth here will dis appear fast fast if just one of you is made as an example and dragged to court for defamation , but una too small to waste time on. Meanwhile lets look at this HARD FACTS also His Excellency Peter Gringory Obi, 1. the man who found no issue in investing the money of his state in his family business against all standard ethics of public service and had the effrontery to even lie about the owneership of the family business 2. the man who was mentioned along with crooks in the Pandora papers guilty of hiding money in offshore tax havens and yet claimed ignorance that this was a criminal act 3. the man whose personal aides were found with suitcases containing hundreds of millions Naira in CASH in his official car and near his private office. 4. the man whose bank Fidelity was used to launder the proceed of the money stolen by Diezani and cohorts ( dem go tell us say hin no dey in charge, but can such huge amount of money move through your bank without your knowledge?) 5. the man with a dodgy secondary school leaving certificate I guess this is not embarrassing enough for you but na to shout Tinubu drug dealer is an embarrassment Nightwolf1: |
Thank Goodness, you yourself put "allegedly" so no more stories, because in the same vein we can produce a list allegations of corruption, tax evasion and impropriety against Peter Obi and that should be enough to disqualify him too by the same token.... 9jaRealist: |
Show me first the WAEC result he take enter UNN or just keep quiet, that is the point......you assume everyone is just defending TInubu anyhow.... you lots are the ones deifying PO and we are telling you he is not a saint just like the rest of them including Tinubu. The easist way to parry away a valid point is to start comparing with TInubu.....okay I agree say TInubu na Amoda Ogunlere... but you give me the evidence I have asked for about Obi or you can explain to us why he did GCE two years after leaving UNI and still managed to gather four F9s 9jaRealist: |
No they didn't run for President, but they ably represent a cross-section of the people who have nothing else to say about TInubu other than "drug baron" which in itself hypocrisy.......you know, I know , we all know without pretending which cross-section we are talking about, so continue to blow grammar ...he go soon clear for your eyes. The simple point of my message is that you should remove the log in your eyes before trying to remove the speck from the eyes of others 9jaRealist: |

,,,and loads of F9 to go with his GCE result which he obtained two years after graduating form UNN. NO one even saw his original WAEC/GCE with which he entered UNN Dafresh: |
We keep hearing so much about Tinubu the drug baron, the kingpin, I guess given the fact that most drug peddler home and abroad, of NIgerian origin happens to come from the south east, surely some of them, must have at one time or the other worked for Tinubu and could have given a clearer insight into his drug peddling 'kingdom' if indeed there was one Who doesn't know that the headquarter of illicit drug market in Nigeria is at across the bridge south of NIgeria,,,,,,,,,,yes every part of the country have their own black sheep but the fact and statistics showed that the world renowned ones are mostly from........south east, but it appears that embittered people will continue to cry wolf. Same way theyb want to give the impression that NIgeria is insecure as a result of Fulani herdsmen banditry while conveniently ignoring all the senseless killings going on in the east...... hypocritical lots https://thewhistler.ng/how-ndlea-tracked-onitsha-trader-who-attempted-to-traffic-n5bn-worth-of-illicit-drugs/ https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/557534-ndlea-arrests-drug-baron-recovers-n9-billion-worth-of-tramadol-official.html https://punchng.com/15-drug-dealers-caught-in-notorious-lagos-community/ https://saharareporters.com/2023/03/05/india-bound-businessman-arrested-heroin-lagos-airport-24-others-nabbed-illicit-drugs https://saharareporters.com/2023/01/08/14-year-old-drug-dealer-other-suspects-arrested-nigeria-officials-seize-drug https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/suspected-drug-dealer-nwachukwu-arrested-with-cocaine-hidden-in-slippers-enroute-vietnam/ https://punchng.com/nigerians-in-safrica-are-being-killed-for-exposing-drug-dealers-anyene-president-nusa/ Nightwolf1: |
