RomanceRe: One Fact Every Wig Wearing Lady should Know. by Baatunde(m): 10:12am On Jan 10, 2022
Thanks bro, I have heard this argument many times. Surely our mothers managed all sort of hair problems without sticking wigs on their heads ( except that even some old women have joined the train these days). Yes just cut your hair and maintain it. As for most of the ladies I think the inferiority complex and the desire to look trendy, trendy here means spotting long hairs like Caucasian women explain why they chuck wigs on their heads. I watched an Odun Adekola film recently where he pulled the wig off one hustling girl, could you believe that underneath the wigs was a beautiful and sexy cornrow in golden colour. My wife then commented sarcastically that big girls cannot be seen in cornrows.....but in reality is it not men that glorified and encourage these fake beauty apparels? Just out of curiosity, do they take this wigs off when having sex?

Jesus does not do violence.

Mat 5:39
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Mat 26:52
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that takethe sword shall perish with the sword.
Very convenient how about Matthew 10 vs 34-37 is that another parable or speaking in tongue?

Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law: and a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me” (Mt. 10:34-37).

The irony is that all these people who claim to heal the sick and raise the dead are always powerless to heal themselves. Africa is always a fertile ground for these evangelists because we are the ones looking for miracles as if miracles are a proof of anything. If only miracle is a proof of righteousness then only Christians should encounter divine favours from God but you all know that muslims, hindus, Buddhist, freethinkers and even atheists have all encountered supernatural occurrences in their lives that can be termed as miracles. Even Jesus warned about the ‘ evil and adulterous generation always seeking for signs’ Mega crusades mega money, read the article above and hear some other opinions of your ’man of God’

BusinessRe: Dangote Building Oil Refinery In Lagos (Video) by Baatunde(m): 3:51am On Jun 05, 2016
Who gave you the report of people working at Dangote cements and Sugar being poorly treated? Did Dangote put an advert in the paper asking for TRUCK drivers with Bsc or Msc qualifications? Why cant people just be objective for once. And also just becasue the CEO of his Dangote Group is an Indian means he is going to pack the company full of Indians? This is at least one Billionaire who has not hidden all his money overseas and many Nigerians are gainfully employed from his various investments.

willibounce1:
My brother don't deceive yourself. Go to dangote cement and sugar and see the people working there. Have we not read severally here about how Nigerians working at dangote are poorly treated and paid peanuts? Abi you never join Nairaland when dangote employed graduates, even masters holders as truck drivers?

Don't worry, God will keep us alive to see the refinery and we still read on NL about his employees. Na indians e go pack full there. Maybe there is something Nigerians aren't doing right. With all the professors and science graduates we have, it just seems as if we don't know jack when the jobs are always given out to expatriates.

But Mr Dangote,

Why do you still have to put this massive project in already congested Lagos and not neighboring States like Ogun, Oyo or even Ondohuh
PoliticsRe: David Cameron Calling Nigeria Fantastically Corrupt Country (Video) by Baatunde(m): 12:29pm On May 11, 2016
You cannot ignore the manner in which he said it because it was meant to tarnish the whole of NIGERIANS as corrupt and ridicule us, moreso when the President of Nigeria was coming to have a meeting with you about his anti-corruption crusade. As people have said, does he have any moral authority to pronounce Nigeria as a fantastically corrupt nation when all the stolen wealth are being usedf to prop up his economy? Yourbas would say " agbepo laja ko jale bi eni ti o gbaa sile". The thief is not less guilty as the person who abets him

Thanks, I agree with you too , shoe get size. smiley That is perhaps the difference in the level of corruption here. A lot of corrupt Nigerians have NO mercy for the populace and can even steal money meant to pay benefits for death in service.

bigerboy200:
I got ur point quite well...okay, they (UK) are corrupt while we (Nigeria) are FANTASTICALLY corrupt...or how can one explain someone stealing pensioners money thus leaving this old men and women to die of hunger, why would someone easily steal billions of dollars meant to tackle the insurrection in the north east, therefore leaving thousands of pple to die like flies and causing millions to be displaced, why would someone steal billions of naira meant for health care delivery thus leaving pple to die in hospitals like agric fowls...yes the west might b corrupt but ours is pitiable, laughable and embarrassing...May God help us in Nigeria...
PoliticsRe: David Cameron Calling Nigeria Fantastically Corrupt Country (Video) by Baatunde(m): 11:26am On May 11, 2016
ITs not about whether its the truth or not but the manner of saying it was to belittle Nigeria. Are they not corrupt in the UK? have you not heard of Cameron's link with the Panama papers, what about the expenses scandal of the MPs, money for lobbying by senior government officials, or the fact that this same hypocritical government is the same one whose country's economy fluorishes on the wealth both stolen and hijacked from other countries by corrupt leaders. IS the UK not at the present a safe haven for treasury looters all over the world, including the Arab leaders who have plundered their countries and invested their money in the UK? What do you call that if NOT corruption or is the UK government unaware of the sources of the ill gotten wealth being used to prop up their own economy? How many Russian oligarchs with ties to Mafia have their main home in the UK. Please, he who comes to equity must come with clean hands. We have been conditioned to believe that whatever is defined as corruption by the Saintly West must be the correct definition

Don't mind the idiot called Cameron blabbering away as if they are all saints. Didn't the
recent Panama papers just exposed his father hiding money abroad to avoid
paying taxes? Bunch of hypocrites! Corruption is not only when you steal
government money but also when you hide money abroad to avoid taxes, inflate
expenses (as we have had with many MPS in the UK), collaborate with the so
called corrupt leaders to hide their loots in your country and continue to do
business with despotic regimes like China without any reservation. But can you
really blame them? They are so smart in keeping their own corruption well
hidden from the world whilst our own corrupt leaders keep putting themselves up
for public scrutiny by means of lavish and ostentatious life style

yusuf000000:
El'enu rirun loni amu Iya e.

Why should you blame the smelling mouth child when he only drinks from his mother's water reservoir and never transgress to yours? That's exactly the case of Nigerians.
Why should the UK's PM call our own dear country Nigeria "Fantastically corrupt nation"? That must be an absurd when our corrupt leaders only steal from Nigeria's purse and not the UKs?

Frankly speaking, we Nigerians are "fantastically hypocritic" in telling the truth.
What is bad in saying Nigeria is one of the fabulously corrupt countries when it is very glaring to the world what Nigeria is? Is there any false in the statement by Cameron? Why all these unnecessary shouts when the facts are on ground both locally and internationally?

Is Nigeria not corrupt;
▪ when we have No.3 citizen of the country sitting in the dock for corruption cases yet, he presides over the Red Chamber?
▪ when the No.3 citizen was extremely riched before becoming a governor without any legal business to justify the status?
▪ when the No.4 citizen has pending cases in the court and still heading the Green Chamber?
▪ when the Senate Majority Leader is having criminal case to answer in the court?
▪ when the Senate Minority Leader is having a corruption file with the EFCC?
▪ when many of the Lawmakers are having one or two cases of corruption pending in courts but still coming to the hollowed chambers to make laws for us?
▪ when we have sitting governors with corruption cases around their necks but they are being protected under the law in the name of immunity?
▪ when the governors are owing salaries but still have the guts to travel abroad to enjoy the looted money and still loot more and more?
▪ when many of our Judges are presently under investigation for corruption cases but still presiding in the courts even when there are overwhelming evidence against them?
▪ when the judgements are usually for sales in our courts?

In fact, Nigeria not only fantastically corrupt but also fanatically corrupt.
Call spade no other names, spade is spade, period!

Therefore implying what? If there had been no tolerance between people of all religion or race living in any country and in Nigeria sepecifically what do you think the result would have been. There are always pockets of extremist and intolerant bigot amidst people of ALL creeds, even atheist. I personally know Christians who have been sent food by Muslims during Ileya, collect the food and then throw it in their thrash bins with the agenda that they cant eat food from Muslim sacrifice. In like manner how would you as a Christian feel if the guy above has refused the gift of Xmas becaue he does not believe in the concept of Xmas or that Jesus's birthday was even on December 25 in the first place. This your tolerance is relative, please dont try to go self-righteous on us here. IF a muslim girl wants to wear her head scarf to school or even to work, the so called tolerant Xtians would be the one to fight against it, saying Nigeria is a secular state. Yet when I was in the University, we had Nuns sponsored by the Catholic Church wearing their cape and no one bats an eyelid. If indeed Nigeria is a secular state then why are we having religious holidays , Easter, Xmas, Ileya and the rest? People only spout this secularity nonsense when it suits their arguments not bothering to check the intended meaning of secularity of a state, Please feel free to check your Websters or Oxford dictionary and convince yourself truly that Nigeria indeed is a SECULAR STATE

To be honest , ask any one living in Europe especially and they will tell you that an average European always underestimate the age of an African. A friend of mine who was 40 then asked his colleagues to guess his age and some were off the mark ( reduction) by about 12 years. Thats because Physiologically, the body development and ageing process is more pronounced and swifter with Europeans and that is why an 18 year old Caucasian (white) would also look like a 30 year old to an African. In reality therefore, a real Under 17 from Africa would NEVER be a physical match for a European Under 17 in a game of football, so what is the fuss all about
