This is what make everyone ignore you, i have replied you, you tell me it is false. ok tell the all you know about them, you seems to know all, abi.
They would keep doing that because you all have no answers but being fed with lies in which I was part of before I saw the light?

Did you read my rebuttal to the lies you claimed as yours. I could remember answering Babyosis in another thread where she gave me same response from your website and I took time in responding to the lies then in which you ignorantly culled from.

Are you not ashamed of your response below to inspired word of God (2nd Timothy 3 v 16)

These are no questions for me to answer, ask God why he did not add the book of Jasher, book of Nathan the Prophet? and others to the bible.
But there is one thing thats is sure, the Foundation of the Lord standeth sure, and the Lord knows those who are his.

@Lady

babs there isn't a 3 days 3 nights calculation
Really shocked shocked. Jesus was asked the sign of the day and he first told them that idolaterous generation seek a sign and that no sign would be given but read in another verse where he told them only the sign of Jonah would be his.

Jesus resurrected on the third day. All the gospels attest to that. Stop reading what isn't there.
Thanks for that. So please what day was he crucified and when did rise?

Also on Jonah, those days were counted as the jews counted the days and not as we count the days today, making it on the third day as we count the days.
Jesus said that 'as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of whale, so also the son of man would be in the belly of earth. So please kindly do the three days and 3 nights for me. I also know how Jews, Arabs count their days but it still would not measure up to 3 days and 3 nights. Please what day was Jesus crucified and when did he arise?

Also the story of Ishtar is untrue as it contradicts several stories about Ishtar. You guys will really have to come up with one solid story about Ishtar in order for your point to carry weight. Because according to this Tammuz wasn't the son of Ishtar, he was Ishtar's lover. Dumuzi was the lover of Ishtar.
Ishtar also wasn't a moon goddess, she was the goddess of love, war, and sex

So pls get your stories straight first.

This is why I always ask for sources when ppl make claims, they go to sources that lack credibility and produce the wrong information, and some people on this forum are too foolish to do research for themselves from credible sources and they end up believing and spreading falsehoods.
Do you care to furnish me your story please, the intelligent one? You ignorantly claimed that Tammuz was Ishtar lover and not son having forgotten that Ishtar (Semiramis) gave birth to him

@Bastage

The translation direct from Hebrew is this:

Quote
Abraham got up in the morning and took bread and a skin of water and gave to Hagar placing on her shoulder and the child and sent her out and she went and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

Reading that, the inference is not that he placed the child on her shoulder but that he gave her the child.

It should probably read like this:

Quote
Abraham got up in the morning and took bread and a skin of water, gave it to Hagar (placing it on her shoulder), gave her the child and sent her out, etc.

One has to remember that ancient Hebrew has very few instances of grammatical punctuation. Only when we add punctuation and common sense can we see what the author probably meant.
I dont have problem with the bible but your post showed that some of the authors were not inspired when they wrote the bible.

Since you claimed that it should have been 'gave her the child, please what explanatiuon do you have for the versions quoted and do you care to show me your Hebrew bible you culled your 'supposed translation' from

Genesis 21

14-21

14 Early next morning Abraham took some food and a full water-skin and gave them to Hagar. He set the child on her shoulder and sent her away, and she wandered about in the wilderness of Beersheba.

Read this too:from NRSV

14 Early next morning, Abraham took some bread and a skin of water and, giving them to Hagar, put the child on her shoulder and sent her away. She wandered off into the desert of Beersheba.

Bastage, dont befool yourself. I am not a novice when it comes to bible reading. Denying the above would show that your authors were not under any inspiration but wrote what they felt they should.

What a reversion story! Mine was like that too but went through stiff resistance, pains, suffferness, anguish, bitterness, isolation, loneliness, faced lots of problems, threats, obstacles from the family, pastors and church members because I changed faith and the most painful then was how my pastors were floored, disgraced, told the truth abnut christianity and the bible. I am the happiest man on earth and thank God for making me a muslim. My father accepted Islam, prayed, fast during the Ramadhan, few months to his death! We are still praying for my mother and told us that she hopes to do that before her death but wants. I have raised threads and attended to issues on my former faith and ALLAH has been merciful to me just like HE said no religion will overcome ISLAM and that Islam is the truth, only religion before Him and it has been proven on NL times without number. Allah has been touching the lives of some through my family and myself. I thank God for making me a Muslim and pray that God should open the eyes of my friends in the likes of Davidylan,Osisi,Pataki,TayoD,Noetic cos we have known ourselves for long. Self-Imposed Darkness and Light of Infinite Mercy

Many of us, out of devotion to Allah and a desire to please Him, feel that spending more time in worshipping Him would make us better Muslims, or at least result in more rewards. Using this logic, it makes sense to us that if we spent all of our time worshipping Allah, then we would most certainly be guaranteed the greatest rewards. Others, out of frustration or inability to deal with the stresses of daily life, find it much easier to isolate themselves from society to survive emotionally and psychologically.

But Allah has not created us without responsibilities to others. He has created us as social beings that need contact with each other. He has created us weak; we need each other’s assistance to survive and prosper in this life. Let me use a simple example.

If we saw a building on fire and knew there were people trapped inside, we would do everything in our power to save them, even putting ourselves in danger to help. If we left them to burn and did not notify the fire department to help, we could have criminal charges laid against us for endangering their lives or refusing to help those in danger.

The situation in religion is the same. We see many suffering in a spiritual darkness of their own making. Their souls are on fire and they have no one to help them out of their situation. Were we to leave them to suffer, we would be guilty of injustice and later held accountable in front of Allah for not doing something to help them.

As Muslims, we need to follow the Qur’an, and the Sunnah of our merciful Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the best of our ability. He was the best of mankind in his devotion to Allah and also in his devotion to his followers and mankind in general.

He used to balance his time properly among many things. He devoted himself to the worship of Allah in the best ways, standing for long hours in prayer at night while most were in their beds sleeping. He never turned people away who asked for his help (peace be upon him). He mixed with people to deliver the message entrusted to him by Allah. He underwent many trials and tribulations in carrying out this mission, but it never prevented him from carrying out his work. It would have been much easier for him to worry about himself, but he would have been neglecting his duty to Allah and his duty to fellow human beings.

As his followers, we need to be messengers of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Islam is not something to be kept private or exclusive to a certain group of people. It is something to be shared with all of mankind so that all people can have the opportunity to benefit from Allah’s love and mercy. Islam is a way of life, not only a way of worship. We obey Allah according to His guidelines not solely our own.

If monasticism, living life as a monk isolated from society, were the best way to achieve Allah’s pleasure, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would have been a monk. His mission, however, was to take people from the self-imposed darkness of their own making, into the light of Allah’s infinite mercy. He said in a hadith, the meaning of which is “the one who mixes with people and is patient with their annoyances is better than one who does not mix with people nor is patient with their annoyances.”

In the Prophet’s time, there were those who wished to make vows to be in continuous fasting and prayer, and even never to marry so that they could be closer to Allah. Prophet Muhammad discouraged them from this, telling them that he was the Messenger of Allah, yet he broke his fast, took time for sleep, and married women, peace be upon him.

Allah says in the Qur’an what means:
{O ye who believe! Make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess: for Allah does not love those given to excess.}
(Al-Ma’idah 5: 87)

It is very easy to go to extremes in life. In being extremely strict, rules are followed to the letter and there is no room for discussion or debate. In being extremely carefree, there are no rules and anything can be considered good in life depending on whom we ask. The best path to follow, however, is the middle one; we are not too strict in practicing Islam, nor are we too careless about obeying the commands of Allah. Unfortunately, the middle path is the most challenging one to follow because it requires discussion, debate, mutual understanding and patience with each other.

CLEANLINESS IN ISLAM

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Cleanliness

The first thing in the religion brought by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the concern for cleanliness. The concept of cleanliness in Islam covers physical and spiritual, mundane and religious domains.

Before performing any rituals prescribed by Islam, one should cleanse his body, and his dress, his place of worship and his environment should also be clean.

Prior to carrying out his prayers or starting for pilgrimage, one has to make his Wudu (ablution). If he or she is in a state of impurity after having had a lawful intimate intercourse or post-natal period or other reasons, he or she has to take a complete bath by pouring clean water over the whole body.

In the case of daily prayer, every Muslim has to clean his/her private parts, face, hands, feet, mouth, nose, and ears at least five times every day for the five daily prayers. This also reminds him/her to keep his/her soul clean from unlawful deeds.

Cleanliness is not in the physical sense only. The body should be purified as well from evil doings that might harm his relationship with others and with Allah (SWT). He has to clean his mind from bad intentions or committing unlawful acts. He has to clean his heart from jealously, hypocrisy and other evil desires. He has to embody hope, truthfulness, forgiveness, compassion, holiness, the sense of brotherliness, neighborliness and other noble qualities.

He has to pay special attention to his diet against all unhealthy food medically and religiously. He has to keep his eyes, ears, tongue from evil. These are among the noble characteristics as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

To clean the wealth, Islam instituted the zakat system (way of purifying wealth). A person whose wealth has reached a certain point is obligated to pay zakat (alms) which is a duty enjoined by God and undertaken Muslims in the interest of society as a whole.

For those capable persons whose wealth does not reach the minimum chargeable rate, he can also give voluntary contribution to the needy. This does not mean that the needy should always be receiving help from the affluent ones.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

"The upper hand (giver) is better than the lower one (receiver)"
. Muslim Kitab Zakat No. 124

If the receiver of zakat can grasp the spirit of the Prophet's (PBUH) saying, he will try his best to be the giver instead of the receiver by endeavoring to better his life as encouraged by the teachings of Islam.

In Islam the possession of more wealth does not raise a man's dignity, nor does poverty degrade him. It is true that wealth is necessary for man to live on this earth but it is only a means, not the end. The end is happiness in life by attaining the higher values and not losing sight of in the pursuit of wealth.

Among the great virtues of Islam is the command to do good and the prohibition to do evil. The good should be preserved and the evil should be discarded. In short, Islam is actually composed of a series of commands and prohibitions. Allah the most Knowing, the Most Merciful, did not decree any law and regulations but for the good and benefit of his creatures.

The prohibition was decree because of its evil implications to humanity. The evils were created to test the human conscience and challenge their freewill in choosing between right and wrong.

All the commands and prohibitions from Allah as transmitted through His Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was intended to purify the human soul in order to live a pure and clean life adored by Allah (SWT) and human beings.

Jazakhullah and Barka Jumuah my dear brother. We need to keep them in checks since they have been misinformed/programmed and are inclined to falsehood, never to reason or read the glaring truth. They keep making denials when truth, facts is being supplied and not being able to support their denials with facts. There is difference between arguing/debating with facts and another debating/arguing making denials/assumptions with nothing to back same up. They fall in the latter category.

I have gained lots from your posts and May Allah continue to increase your knowledge and make Islam easy for you as well as the entire Muslims and may we never see any problem that would want to make us leave Islam

As regards to what we're dicussing, i just wonder how "HIM" can be use for non humanbeing and while "IT" is used for the samething thats not human, also does it make sense if i give u something freely without going to my father to beg him so that i can give u? and later tell u that i will give u the samething i gave you before, but will beg my father to send HIM to you while am gone, but i will not send HIM to you until i go back to my FATHER, could it ever be possible to give you while am not gone and still be saying will give you until am gone?
I wonder too. Those posted above and many others made me leave Christianity. The pastors told me that, thats how they have been told to believe when I went to some with issues I came across in the bible. Your post above referred to 'comforter' in which they claimed talked about Holy Spirit having forgotten that Holy Spirit has been in existence since creation and Jesus saying 'another' couldnt have been for 'another Holy Spirit'.

when i ask about it, someone said HIS or HER can be used for non human, like "SHE" is used for a country, if then ,so, the "SHE "should be used for it throughtout and not "IT" again.
We will keep praying for them that Allah show them the truth just like He did for you and myself.

IslamRe: Why Are Black Africans Moslems Considered Inferior By The Arabs Moslems by babs787(m): 12:25pm On May 01, 2009
@Horus

Why Are Black Africans Moslems Considered Inferior by The Arabs Moslems
I wouldnt know why as Islam does not give room for discrimination. The Holy Prophet in his last sermon told us that:

"O people! Verily your Lord is one and your father is one. All of you belong to one ancestry of Adam, and Adam was created out of clay. There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab and for a non-Arab over an Arab; nor for white over the black nor for the black over the white except in piety. Verily the noblest among you is he who is the most pious."Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Allah is not after skin color or race but after piety so also the prophet in all his sermon.

You would have heard about Bilal ibn Rabah or Bilal al-Habeshi , a black emanticipated slave of Umayyah ibn Khalaf who came from Ethiopia and accepted Islam through the teaching of Muhammed on equality and that no race, color etc in Islam and that all are equal but differs through piety.

Bilal though a black man faced severe torture from his master when he learnt that Bilal accepted Islam. He would made him lay on hot sand and put heavy stones on his body so that the sand would burn his skin as a result of his inability to move and this touched the prophet that he sent for Abubakr who bought Bilal's freedom and made him the first Muezzin.

Now, the prophet and other Arabs then wouldnt have freed Bilal and made him the first Muezzin if Arabs are more superior to Black as Bilal happened to be a black man and was given that post amongst thousands of Arabs!!

Lets leave the story of Bilal aside. We also learnt about another Slave from Rome called Suhayb bin Sinan who was tortured by enemies of Islam and led Arabs in prayer despite his being not an Arab!!

There is also Shawdhab, an African martyr and Khabbab bin al-Arratt also from Africa and John bin Huwai a slave from Ethiopia. They are still respected in the Muslim world and not discriminated as a result of their race.

Lastly Horus, the Prophet (saw) said:

"O people! Verily your Lord is one and your father is one. All of you belong to one ancestry of Adam, and Adam was created out of clay. There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab and for a non-Arab over an Arab; nor for white over the black nor for the black over the white except in piety. Verily the noblest among you is he who is the most pious."

Thanks ma'am and please dont get me flattered cheesy. I am always a good husband to my wife, loving, caring, humorous, sexy, understanding, romantic, jovial, friendly and what have you (help me put the remaining adjective, I have forgotten grin)

I have been spreading the message of Islam since the day I moved from christianity to Islam and raised some threads on my former religion on NL using both books as my support but just like Allah said in the Quran, if the angels come down and show they proof, they would still not hear, so you tell them the truth and Allah would be your judge on that as He told us that we should call people to His way with wisdom knowledge and understanding and that truth has come and that no religion aside Islam would be accepted.

On the issue of wife of Allah, I asked Noetic to give where he got his fact from but told me to surf the net. I did that but couldnt see any. I told him and gave him verses where Allah mentioned allat as one of the idol ignorantly ascribed to Him as one of is daughters but the guy still told me that its a lie but he has never been able to furnish me where he got his own allat being the wife of Allah from. I even raised some threads for four of them, Noetic, No2atheism, Todak, Davidylan against myself but they messed up threads simply because they have limited knowledge.

This is the verse again where allat is mentioned.

On daughters of Allah:

Quran 53 v 19: Have ye seen Lat. and 'Uzza,

Quran 53 v 20: And another, the third (goddess), Manat?

Quran 53 v 21: What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female?

Quran 53 v 22: Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair!

Quran 53 v 23: These are nothing but names which ye have devised,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah has sent down no authority (whatever). They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire!- Even though there has already come to them Guidance from their Lord!
So, over to you:

Yes lure them into dropping little they have just like the case of tithe. cool
