Gbest90:Haha I actually know that but with our recent performances I don't think we can keep up but we will see. Like I said Champions League has it's own spirit |
I'm a Liverpool fan and if I'm going to be rational, Liverpool can't escape tonight's embarrassing beating. Leipzig play this intense fast paced football where something is always happening every minute. Even a stable Liverpool with Matip and Gomez at the back might not keep up. Nonetheless, Champions League has it's only spirit. League football yato si UCL so anything can happen. Rational me is going to say Leipzig 6 - 3 Liverpool. The part of me that wants Liverpool to win by miracle will say Liverpool 2-1 Leipzig

inkon:He was trying to show you people the way. A lot of illiterate Nigerians think Sars is why there is inflation and bad road and corruption etc I even heard several chants during the protest "we don't want good roads, we don't want a good life, all we want is to endsars" lmao The entire country is in a downward spiral towards mass suffering in inordinate poverty and Nigerians only want to endsars. It's laughable. We need a revolution and it's obvious protesting isn't the way because even the endsars una want them no give una. Just like the French Revolution, Nigeria's revolution is inevitable. It's a matter of time. Leave the messenger and focus on the message. Lastly, how can you even say what you say lol he's literally attacked both PDP and now APC led government severally that they put him under house arrest. |
wamide042:See you praising GEJ's government like it was China's President Xi's government. I'm afraid of you. |
I continue to say this, Nigerians deserve their leadersIntelligent and wise people like me and you remain only like 8 in this entire country. It's always like this. We worship and forgive thieves as long as they're doing it BIG scale. Petty thieves are the ones that deserve punishment. Just to make their stupidity make sense, someone on this thread said the current state of Nigeria is our collective fault not hers. Are Nigerians insane? Did we help her to sign off on those Billions that were syphoned? I'm scared. Nigerians are madly in love with their slave masters. |
Liverpool aren't playing compact enough. Mane and Salah should be close to each other making strings of passes. Wijnaldum needs to face forward. Enough looking back while everyone's running forward. Another reason why Fabinho or Henderson should be in the midfield. Fab and Hendo are arguably Liverpool's best midfielders. Imagine giving them the role of stopping Foden when they should be doing more upfront |
Yaronkirki:My brother, I've spent my life savings trying to cure this H Pylori/Ulcer of a thing. I even went to one of the best hospitals in Victoria Island only for them to scam me huge sum and tell me to continue with my omeprazole. I can't count how many packs and different brands of omeprazole, rabreprazole, clarithromycin I have purchased. I maintain a very healthy diet because I now know every single one of my triggers. I eat a lot of bananas I even friended the sellers. Oats everywhere. Yogurt full fridge. I'm tired. Local mixtures? From fermented plantain to pawpaw to amala to cabbage. I'm tired. I just want to be breath. I can't breath all the time. I have to take deep breathes every 10 seconds. I want to die. I often wake up at midnight sweating like a mad man trying to catch my breath. I'm weak and I get dizzy after short stroll. I'm young. I use to be so healthy I never use to live like this. My life is so depressing now and I can't even hangout with my friends anymore. I lie awake at night and pray to God that today's the day. |
Machini:Please what what's the medicine? |
olasco18:Haha let me guess, it has escalated and you can't breath well all the time now. I am having same issue going on 2 years now. I'm praying one day I'll just die in my sleep so I can finally find peace. |
azubaby:Hi I know it's been a long time but I just wanted to know if it worked for you? Or if any other things worked for you.. |
lexy2014:Brothers, it's ok. @forgiveness. Lagos City that, Lagos Isale Eko this, Lagos Atlantic that. ![]() Sanwo Olu no dey find Chairman for Ministry of Urban Planning nau. Let it go sirs. |
uncleinans:Seun Kuti said there are different kinds of unity. Unity of culture/ethnicity and Unity of purpose. In the USA(Racism) or even Britain(the Irish hate the welsh etc), they're not united at all as countrymen but there's unity of purpose. They know what they want for the country and it's for their commonwealth to be used sensibly for every citizen's benefit. Don't let our government/political parties fool you. Unity of purpose can exist without unity of ethnicity. Even if we part ways, each ethnic group will still suffer from Unity of purpose. |
sage:I seriously don't understand. I literally opened a thread of beautiful photos of Lagos state - https://www.nairaland.com/4054886/beautiful-photos-lagos-city I love Lagos but I don't think it is in top 10 beautiful states in Africa. Lagos is very developed yes, but it's not that beautiful. I'll attribute this majorly to poor planning. Everybody building high rise wherever they like. It's just scattered development here and there. Also, Lagos lagoon isn't clean. Lagos sky is full of dirt and is not true blue. Lagos doesn't like nature. Not sufficient greenery. Lagos road planning is shite. The fact that people still litter in Lagos lol . The beauty in big places in Lagos is usually cut short quickly by abandoned projects, faded paints on roads and buildings, market women selling right there in the road lol then the beauty starts again then it's cut short quickly again. |
Cashsteady:Who paid you? Or are you just coming from the village? I've been everywhere in Lagos and even Banana Island or Ikoyi isn't as planned out and beautiful as Windhoek or Luanda |
Firmino's inability to complete a one-two pass that he started caused Man Utd's goal. These Liverpool players are looking so fraudulent out there. How can a CAM not know that he should move to receive a one-two pass. Embarrassing. |
Gbest90:Haha thank you. It's just the little things I notice. Ofcourse! Liverpool need a complete CB badly so Fabinho can get back in the midfield and a creative midfielder too. I wish Shaq and Keita would stay fit for longer periods too. True, Curtis is inexperienced but he's very promising. Analysts have said he plays like Coutinho. I think he should be given more play time. |
Gbest90:I agree with you. We're definitely on the same page. Getting one or two world-class creative midfielders would do a lot of good for the attack but considering the current circumstances of things, I don't think Liverpool will be looking at making deals in the transfer market. That's why I'm suggesting using the current 'near-creative' players that we have. I've watched Curtis Jones play and he's actually a very creative player when he plays with confidence. He does 100X better in tight spaces than Wijnaldum and Henderson. Shaqiri no doubt is a creative player with great vision. Balls best when played as an actual RW not a CAM or CM. He would enjoy finding those spaces and runs in tight spots. Taki and Firmino very key to the play. In my opinion simply need environment where they can thrive. They're similar in playing style. They both have great body balance which makes them perfect for One-Two passes. The team could even adopt a triangular passing with the fullbacks like Man City does. Then Imagine Thiago doing Thiago things. The midfield will then need Fabinho to act as a destroyer. All our wins against most teams parking the bus would come so easy because even those teams are not parking the bus properly. I've done the math. Any form of technical player by his presence would break those defences. Do you remember the Crystal Palace game Liverpool won 7-0. That happened because Keita, Taki and Firmino all started that game. Even though their build up wasn't exactly pure, Firmino, Keita and Taki by sheer body balance and ball control were able to break the defence. Palace had started that game parking the bus, when we netted 2 or 3, second half Roy Hodgson then decided to come out to play, but that was when Klopp made the right call bringing in Salah and Chamberlain. Ofcourse they played well because now they had sufficient space. That was the first time I was convinced Klopp had been advised to try technical players but recently I've been expecting that same energy and I'm disappointed. |
Gbest90:You're a genius sir. We're thinking alike. What do you think about this my analysis below? If only Klopp could just be as flexible as Pep, he'll realize what he needs to do. Whenever opposition teams pack the bus, the attack will have to function in very tight spaces. It then switches from a game of player pace/agility/agidi to one of technique/vision/body balance/finesse. Mane, Salah and Wijnaldum immediately need to go out of the line up for Taki, Shaqiri and Jones respectively. They have more technique than Mane, Salah and Wijnaldum. Instructions should be to play centrally, stay behind the ball and the midfield should be as flexible as possible. Make risky short passes and quick thinking of next move before receiving passes. Another key play was Thiago. He gave the forwards so many unexpected low passes that Man Utd defence never saw coming but apparently Liverpool players too are lost and not even opening up their bodies to receive the passes. I saw Thiago give Wijnaldum and Mane clean passes severally in good attacking positions only for them to struggle with controlling it, fumble and pass back to defence. I've seen Sheffield UTD play better. Again, Mane, Salah and Wijnaldum need to sit these low block games out. If West Ham decide to play out then you can bring on Salah and Mane as there'd be sufficient space for their pace. Also, there'd be a significant drop in stamina/press power because of Mane and Gini absence, therefore, Fabinho needs to get back in the midfield. His presence is needed up front more than at the back. Henderson and the 22 year old Nathaniel Williams should play defence. The defence will still be fine with Fab as CDM. And lastly, Robbo and Arnold should cut the passes back more often inorder to make runs to create space/options and should quit those spamming of low and high crosses inside to 5'7 attackers. |
Jeffyblaq:Thank you. The boys are so hard-working and they're doing everything right giving top performances. Unfortunately, Klopp is very confused right now and will lose his next 2 fixtures (3Ls in a row) because of it. It's not his fault though. It's the type of squad we have. The current Liverpool players are not technical enough. Go watch Dortmund under Klopp videos on YouTube. Dortmund under Klopp played counter attacking football similar to Liverpool's except with players like Gundogan and Kagawa pulling the strings. Their build up was so flexible. Probably the most flexible counter attacking football ever. Even in the event that teams were parking the bus, it was even better for them as they broke those defences in split seconds because they had natural technique in Kagawa, Gotze and Gundogan. Even the fullbacks were flexible going inverted and overlapping as they wish making all sorts of amazing runs. Contrast with Liverpool. Ever seen Liverpool on the counter lately? Fabinho intercepts, passes to Gini, Gini on a normal day will pass to Mane. Mane who's been double marked will then be forced to go to the flank and hold up the ball, try doing some little dances and then use his weaker foot to make an embarrassing cross into the 18. Shocking but that's his best. Are y'all forgetting Sadio Mane? Or Mohammed Salah? They are limited players. All they have is pace. No different from Bellerin, Daniel James, Bergwin or Moura. They can't give what they don't have. I'm not saying they're bad players but I'm saying they would perform better if they had more technical players around them. Just pull up a video on YouTube on Klopp at Dortmund and see what I'm talking about. The flexibility and technique of each player. You couldn't even identify who was who. Everyone was on a god level. |
Dminister: There's always that student that knows more and has better ideas that he teacher will shun because he's just a student. He just has to keep quiet until he too becomes a teacher/professional. I was sad about this loss at Anfield but then again if we kept dragging out these games, playing the opposite of football, playing so cluelessly and there's no consequence, it'll question the quality of football today. So it's only right we lost to Burnley. Burnley did their homework and had their strategy in check. They deserved the win at Anfield. Our last 5 matches deserved the win over us. It means football is still football and I'm glad. |
crazygod:Haha mate very spot on. What a game. Remember what I said about teams that park the bus and Klopp's inability to identify how to fix it. You mentioned us flooding the box with our players and I said how Klopp wouldn't because it was costly on the counter. He went ahead and flooded the box. Unfortunatelyy, it has cost us our home record. Told you that was not the way to go about it when your forwards are 5'7. You have to break down the defence using technique and short passes and create actually chances not those leg stretching, deflection, mistake, unrealistic chances we had. |
Tamel:What do you think about what I wrote now? Burnley just broke our home record by parking the bus. |
Haha Jurgen Klopp what a coach. |
Angelfrost:If only Klopp could just be as flexible as Pep, he'll realize what he needs to do. Whenever opposition teams pack the bus, the attack will have to function in very tight spaces. Angelfrost:He's trying to "steal" a goal. Klopp hasn't scored a goal now in 4 matches and he thinks Origi will save him. He has to go back to the drawing board and do actual work. Identify how to break down defences playing low block/parking the bus using his own tactics not using individual ability. Firmino would flourish better than Origi when it comes to low block. He can move quickly in tight spaces. |
Hahaha Jurgen Klopp. What a coach. He rode on the shooting star of gritty counter attacking football and now football requires of him to use actual finesse, to use actual technique, the man is lost. He needs an intelligent assistant coach from Barcelona or Arsenal asap. He's being so basic. He's being so basic in the sense that even we the viewers can literally see what he's trying to do from his line up. Simply because the fans were saying they wanted an actual striker to have shots on target he takes out Firmino and plays Origi. That's madness. Inorder to justify his unintelligent tactic of cross spamming and heading, he plays an out of form taller striker. Ridiculous. I stand on my words of my post in the first page. Taki, Firmino and Jones need to start these kind of games and play risky passes amongst themselves. Thiago is looking like a God amongst Llamas simply because of his technique and explosiveness. Mane, Origi, Salah and Wijnaldum have zero technique. They're the worst type of players for these games.
|
crazygod:Haha I feel you. I actually see some potential in both Taki and Jones. It's just like how you would think Keita isn't all that but put him in a team with similar players like him, he will do magic. I do agree Jones and Taki are not the best technical players but I'd still pick them over likes of Salah and Wijnaldum. Also, the coaches have to work to their strength to utilize their technique. Liverpool too use to overload the box for crosses especially 17/18 season but it always cost us on the counter. We'd have lesser players in defence so Klopp changed tactics to lesser players in the box for crosses. Worst part is Salah and Mane are 5'7. The odds of them actually reaching the ball is not that high but we were by sheer luck winning 2-1. 1-0 so it was good enough for Klopp. |
tamdun:Does that mean Aguero is gonna die? Since he's currently unfit ![]() |
