The US produces 9 million barrels of SHALE OIL per day. Of recent the US is now a net exporter of oil, like I said you are correct on some point BUT what of chemicals, phones, agricultural products agro allied products, machineries, steel.
Their import can never outweigh what they produce

Recall, my argument was that U.S imports lots of things just like Nigeria does. I don't have any official report per se about Import Vs Export in the U.S.

But the striking difference between the two countries is, You can never use any other currency as a legal tender in the U.S. even at international airport.. Dew outlets "might" accept "some" foreign currency at the airport.

In comparison to Nigeria, some law firms charge their client in USD. Some schools etc accept only USD as a form of payment. Lots of govt officials and contractors are paid in USD.

To me this is the big issue in Nigeria. Recall those businesses that uses dollar turns around and pay their employees, NEPA bill, buy fuel for Gen all in Naira.

There are still mills, oil refineries Boeing has manufacturing in Washington state. United Technologies manufactures in Connecticut.

Check the tag on the banana or plantains at your local grocery store and tell which country it came from. This was the specific examples on my inital quote, LG and Samsung "mostly" are manufactured in SK.

My argument was that U.S is very dependent on importation as well as Nigeria but if you live in the U.S like you claim, you can agree with me that it is very rare to see a company transacting business in any currency other than the USD.

Do you live in the U.S?

Have you heard about companies sending jobs to Overseas, China, Mexico et al.

Don't forget U.S does import Fuel/ gas.

Most electronics , cars, sold in the U.S are built in Mexico.. And assembled in the U.S. Some are built outright over seas amd imported example some Samsung and LG electronics are built in South Korea.. Also Kia and Hyundai are mostly manufactured in SK

The United States is the world's second largest manufacturer most cars sold there are made there. What does Nigeria manufacture? They are the largest exporters of aircrafts construction equipment software movies (in gross dollars) and many more. Agricultural products cars I can go on and on. Go back to school please. Russia and Venezuela had currency issues. So did Egypt.

I really loved her, if she had admitted the child, i would just try to understand what happened, like the baby's father and all. Then see if i could handle it.

In my opinion, CBN pumping dollars in the economy is a rubbish idea, voodoo economics.. Whose idea was it anyways It is a shame.

Before you start quoting me, let's reason this,

1. People talk about Forex this and that, Is Nigeria the only country that its citizens operate FOREX?

Why aren't all other countries currency down the toilet as well?

2. People say because we import more and export less. Yes that might be one of the reasons but let me tell you sth. Do you know almost everything sold in the U.S is imported? Yes I kid you not, Iphone is designed in California but produced in China.

The U.S import Bananas, Plantains, Pineapple, coconut Yes.. People living in the U.S, check the label on the bananas at Walmart, Kroeger or which ever grocery store you go.. The label would read most times, From Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica or some other south American country.

Also, the U.S import tooth picks, I kid you not, I was surprised when i purchased one and the label reads made in China.

You could disagree with me if you like but the main issue we have is over dependency on foreign currency.

There are some law offices that charge their clients in dollars, some government officials/ contractors are paid in USD.

Even some business, schools etc. Accept only USD as a form of payment.

Why would USD be accepted as a legal tender in Nigeria You couldn't use GBP in the U.S.

Likewise, you can't use USD in GB.

The implication of some business using USD as a legal tender is that, those businesses that accept Dollars from their clients, they pay their employees in Naira and make their office purchases in Naira.

They are indirectly running a BDC. Recall, when clients and the government go and source dollars from banks to pay those busineses , contractors and personnels. Then those business pay their employees in Naira and make their purchase in Naira. At a point banks will run out of dollars and what happens?

Economics 101, scarcity of dollars.. Then those dollar businesses will start selling their stash at a higher rate.

Does anyone recall the NNPC guy that they found $10m cash in his house? How much was recovered from those judges Diezani Plus lots of others we don't know about.

Have we ever asked ourselves, CBN have pumped almost $1bn into the market since this year and still pumping where is the money going

Do you know if you want to be rugged, you could talk to the police and they will drag him out of there. Because he is not your tenant, he doesn't have tenancy agreement.

I wouldn't even reason legal option here because the case is likely to be thrown out it you are going for notice to quit ( at least in a civilized world). The better route would be criminal possession of your property.

For people reading this, if you are planning on sharing flat, make sure your name is included in the tenancy agreement.

I want to your opinion on this estimate, i think it's its high but my contractor insists there is no west we could do it cheaper.

Foundation for 6 flats, i.e Of 2bedroom each. 3flats ground floor and 3flats upstairs.

Is there any area of this estimate that we might be able to reduce to make a saving?

Bros this ur grammar na wa. Who told u coolant is gas? In a summary the difference between coolant and ordinary water is that coolant has a higher boiling point than water. The boiling point of water is 100 degrees Celsius, now with some impurities in the water it might not even get to 100 degrees before it boils, boiling water in the radiator is bad. Meanwhile a 50 50 mixture of coolant and water can withstand up to 130 degrees Celsius before boiling. Also coolants have antifreeze which prevents corrosion of radiator parts.

Is coolant a gas? Check the attached picture? Also do you know the chemixal components of a coolant

Finally, like you suggested in your last paragraph, antifreeze properties in a coolant does not prevent corrosion of radiator parts, it's soley property is to prevent the coolant from freezing.

Also, in the "mechanics" world, coolant and Anti Freeze are usually used interchangeably to mean thr same thing.

I will love to ask a question regarding the use of coolant, I drive a 2004 Toyota corolla ,I ply Lagos - ekiti and most times Benin at least once or twice a month .. what does this coolant do as I have never encountered over heating in my car

Coolant is a gas that is used to remove heat from something.

Drivers are supposed to add coolant in their radiator but some out of ignorance add water.

The radiator was supposed to cool the engine and prevent over heating.

Say, you are driving a long distance, of course at a point the engine will heat up.. Which is normal. With. Coolant, it helps to calm the engine down and keep it cool.

But if someone uses water.. Of course when the engine heats up, the engine will boil the water.. Now both the engine and the water are hot.. This is one of thr major causes of overheating.

Also if people don't add any coolant in their car. Like if it is empty. The engine heats up, nothing to cool it down then it catches fire.

I am glad you asked.. Pouring water causes over heating... I have encountered so many of our brothers and sisters from East going to Lagos, that there vehicle left them stranded on the road.

Please use " COOLANT" do not use Water.

Remember as you are driving, engine heats up and the "water" you added that was supposed to cool the engine starts to boil. Now the water is hot and the Engine is hotter that's exactly what causes the engine compartment to catch fire and when that happens.. Lots of things are damaged..

Please be wise.. Do not use water as A coolant.
