SoNature: Ebubu, this is the kind of thread I expect you to create because Dave Umahi left a big challenge for his successor. Show the world that Francis Nwifuru is working hard to continue with Dave's great works.
It pays when there is continuity in government. It is cheaper and the masses do reap the benefits. Typically, Nigerian governors, once a new one enters, it abandons ongoing projects from previous administration, knocks down some completed projects from previous administration wasting government resources.
I wish the people of Ebonyi state well.. hopefully this is not initial gra gra by the new governor.
turmacs: I know some people will come here to say rubbish about AlJazeera. This is one of the few truthful and unbiased news outlet remaining in this world. Aljazeera has never been known to spread propaganda and false news. Unlike CNN that openly apologised to the world for spreading fake news about beheaded babies, only God knows what else they've been lying about.
I stopped watching CNN and all her affiliated stations when i watched this video below.
When you are investigating any topic, most especially a very opinionated topic, you have to pay attention to the source.
AlJazeera is owned by Qatar and are very pro Islam. Now, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
But the problem is, where we ought to be careful is on how the outfit reports world events that concerns Islam or Arabic nations as they tend to be biased and somewhat leaning pro Arab nation causes.
Remember, this is nothing new in the media and entertainment world.. just like few years ago with the corruption scandal in the Vatican. Vatican news just danced around the issue and fiam.. you never heard them talk about it again.
Even every day issues concerning catholics, their views is that of the church not opposition view, they might mention it just to appear unbiased but they are deeply pro Papacy.
Again, nothing wrong with that either.
Even in Nigeria election, if you voted, you know what you saw at your polling unit, I know what I saw at my polling unit. You know what you saw online tiktok, fb, nairaland, what's app group, even channel TV. So what did NTA news say? They would rather show us cultural dance in Taraba than be objective on issues against FG especially during election coverage.
In the U.S Fox News (cable news) tend to dance around issues against Republicans. Check how they covered Trumps sexual harassment allegations, January 6. And how they covered Bill Clinton's Monica Lewinsky saga.
CNN tend to lean liberal.
Bottom line is, know the source where you get your news from.
Yes, Obi did not turn in his UNN and NYSC certificates and they cannot judge him on that since he met the minimum requirements which is SSCE. And that's the only qualification he turned in.
Algold: People are hoarding dollar at the expense of the Naira. Just imagine some private schools asking pupils and students to pay in dollar within the Nigeria space. The solution, is to eliminate hoarding dollar, booster local productions. Ban Bereau de change, ban domiciliary accounts that accept foreign currency (should be exchange at point of entry) Long jail terms for money laundering, especially on foreign companies within the country.
In addition to what you wrote up there.. I still can't make sense of banks requesting for their customer to go and buy dollar from BDC and come back and deposit that dollar in the bank so the customer can pay their supplier in China or pay their kids tuition fee abroad.
It is not like the banks will send the actual cash to bank of China or the university abroad.
We know what's right in this country but will not do it!!
TemplarLandry: Eden Hazard was the bane of his own career. He punctured his own career because of greed and impatience. He ought to have stayed at Chelsea and maintained the momentum but he left for Real Madrid where he became a shadow of himself, winning all his trophies from the bench. Where's the honor in that?
Learn life!
The honor is in his bank account and trophy cabinet
ERockson: Tinubu was admitted and graduated with distinctions from CSU. He got his replacement diploma from the third party having lost his certificate. Tinubu is praising Tinubu for his excellent performance but they are crying for doing something that's not Illegal in anyway.
FreeStuffsNG: Alhaji Atiku should get ready to be sued for heavy damages. It will take a miracle for him not to be bankrupt by the time he is slammed, especially if President Bola Tinubu chooses to sue CSU too.
Every of those documents Alhaji Atiku wasted hundreds of millions of naira to get have been investigated by DSS well before today and he had access to the confirmed info as a former Vice President of FRN, CSU had responded to his enquiries on record and Asiwaju Tinubu had raised concern that he was out to abuse the court processes on a fishing expedition. It turns out that he did it to embarrass CSU and President Bola Tinubu.
kozmokaz: I actually think the first thing any body with basic knowledge of how the American system works would do was to validate the SS# on the released document
did a little look up on that and this popped up !!
don't want to conclude yet .. waiting for the court to give it final verdict tomorrow
gidgiddy: The Supreme court is not there to play politics, it is only their to interpret the constitution
The reason why the lower court discharged Nnamdi Kanu is that it said that the federal government did not follow due process to bring him back to Nigeria
When the Supreme court hears how the federal government broke the Nigerian extradition act to illegally bring Kanu back to Nigeria, they will throw this case out and order Kanu's immediate release
descarado: Every state don't need an airport my dear. I live in a very developed city yet no airport. Nearest one is about 34 miles away.
Unless you are flying outside the country, hop into train and you are at your destination within a twinkle of an eye and back so why do you need an airport.
Priority is what builds a nation not elephant projects. Imagine dutse and ebonyi had airport. For what?
