You seem not to understand him, social media gives us opportunity to leave too many details of our past unlike the days of our fathers. yes, indecency is not limited to our generation but hardly can you find them common place.
Moreover, everything about some people is on social media, I repeat everything not minding the negative implications if any.
Lol. This is like blaming your phone speakers for the bad message contained in a song you are playing, or for how often you play songs.

The problem is that many of you guys don't read anything about history. The history you know stopped at what fathers and mothers said about when they were little.

I hope you know that in some cultures in the past, people walked about near _naked covering only the lower private parts. Boobs would be bouncing up and down. Even up till our day, a few cultures are still that way. Yet those do not qualify either as indecency or commonplace to you guys. Indecency is only when a girl wears a low-cut dress exposing cleavage and posts on instagram. undecided

In the past, the Romans engaged in public sex orgies in some of their festivals. Are you aware? Yet when you see a guy hold a girl at the waist, you scream indecency as if you don't do worse. To you guys, decency is how good one is at pretending.

Man has always been a social creature, craving acceptance into the herd. To get accepted, he'd use whatever tool is available. We only happen to have more tools now, so expect man to be more expressive of himself - both the good and the bad. You think it's bad now? It's going to get worse.

I don't Underestimate the power of technology. If you check my post well, I'm writing from the "Family" point of view. Don't tell me you haven't seen pictures of your grandparents or parents when they were kids. Oh I guess their pictures meant nothing to you.. The trend continues. You expect those in the future to automatically remove filters from your photos with augmented reality or VR, though it's possible but Did you have to remove filters to see your dad's picture as a youth. The useless amount of data we're leaving is too much. Let me remind you even in 2017 the past years still matter. The same way 2017 will matter in years to come. History is an essential part of humanity, technology cannot do without it. It's as simple as that.
Oh, past years matter to us? Ok, tell me without doing any search on the internet, how did people take pics in the year 1917? How were their videos like?

My grandparents also have black and white and sepia pictures. Even some with a bluish tint that they say used to come out of the camera the moment it is taken. If it has effects different from reality, then it has a filter. I didn't fail to recognize my grandparents just because it was sepia or black and white.

It's no different today. Mankind just got more creative. Thanks to augmented reality (Facebook is coming up with something huge), we'd soon be able to take pics with imaginary persons, creatures or even in imaginary places. I certainly don't think that's a bad thing. It's just for the fun of it. There would still be normal pics your future generations can see.

Useless amount of data? I bet you don't know how your great great grandpa looked like. Yet you make it seem that a photo with filters is worse than no photo. Useless is subjective, the fact that a mouse has no need for fins doesn't make fins universally useless.

Indecent pics cannot be blamed on social media. That's down to individual folly and man's obsession with sexuality. I hope you know that far back thousands of years ago when there were no cameras or the internet, people drew or engraved obscene picture on walls. Social Media is just a tool. How you use it depends on you.
Phones › Re: How Social Media Is Silently Ruining The Future by Bahddo(m): 7:57am On May 13, 2017
Ridiculous post. You took your subjective dislike of instagram and snapchat filters and made a mountain out of it. That's silly.

Don't flatter yourself, in hundreds of years from now, your photos wouldn't even be relevant. Same way most of us couldn't care less what people discussed in the 10th century. The only people who would be remotely interested are historians and other people who wish to study how social media has evolved over time.

The year 2017 wouldn't be relevant either. People would only mention the 21st century, and at times group the 20th and 21st century together.

You seem to underestimate the power of technology. Even right now, technology has made data processing relatively easy. Don't even imagine how it would be in future, when 1 terabyte of data would be to them the way 1 megabyte of data is to us.

Don't pity future generations. They would be just fine with or without your photos, in fact chances are they would do more with augumented and virtual reality. Pity those in the the current generation that believe snapchat filters can possibly ruin the future.

What sort of nonsense advice is this? You and all the people that liked that posts are all enemies of this country.
I liked the post, and unlike you there are some of us who recognize the truth when we see it. The real enemies of this country are those who kept pretending that all was well up until it got this bad. The worst of the bunch are even still pretending right now under the canopy of false patriotism.

If you aren't even honest about the state of things, how can you truly be a friend of the country? Friends tell the truth that no one else wants to.

How many good brains get wasted every day in Nigeria? A country that celebrate Big Brother Naija housemates more than intellectuals. Then the moment one gets refined by another country, we want them back so they can get wasted like the others.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 7 Jobs Being Taken By Technology by Bahddo(m): 8:02am On May 09, 2017
Isn't it still humans who create the technology? Those are job opportunities. So the jobs aren't replaced by technology. They are simply replaced by other jobs that create tools that do the work.

If Nigeria truly embraces technology, there would in fact be more job opportunities. We need people who can make stuff that makes life easier. Either that, or we buy what other people have made and obsolete jobs would still be replaced anyway.

aaronson:
okay let me explain using your family root. chances are your grand pa has the same ancestor as your dad but your dad had to interbreed from another family(you mom) in other to procreate you. Now you now share DNA from about paternal and maternal ancestry.

The only difference between the ape and human is, the ape evolved in the specie embedded with a different chromosome in contrast with another specie of homo sapien with different type of chromosome.
duh! That example is dead on arrival. It does nothing to explain how there came to be difference in number of chromosomes. You probably realized it that's why you mentioned something as vague as "the specie embedded with a different chromosome." Pray tell, how did it get embedded?

The best explanation anyone can come up with is mutation, but we all know how 'healthy' babies born with an extra chromosome turn out.

The precious few who survive and are capable of having offspring do not even pass their condition to their offspring. Unlike changes in chromosome structure, changes in number of chromosomes are exclusively random (they are not inherited). So mutation does not explain it at all.

You are just throwing the word 'species' around anyhow. Animal species are not analogous to human families in any way.

PS: There aren't different species of Homo Sapien undecided

I'm atheist and believe in evolution, Ape is the closest primate to homo sapien but can never interbreed with us human because of the difference in chromosomes, human possess 23 while the closest primate to human which happens to be the ape possesses 24.

Human could have interbred with neatherman, homohabilis, homo erectus etc to continue evolution process in the homos specie but others died out and only homo sapien survived.
so at what point (and why) did one chromosome get added to apes or removed from humans if they have a common ancestor as evolutionists assert?

I'd just say 'nice photoshop' because that's what it is.

All these Edo state talk is just nonsense stereotype popularized because people have the desire to feel better than the next person. I may have believed if I never lived there.

If people truly had such powers, Naija would have been more developed than this. If I have the power to make my body invisible, then I wouldn't waste it on petty stuff like taking pics to scare someone.

An average child with a mobile phone now a days... Has a shit load of porn which they have ready access to download more till their memory card maxes out... And you wonder why rape is becoming a thing among teens.

We all know that sex takes over the normal thinking functions of men for that period until they nut.

Now these waste of sperm called students trying to rape. Their fellow students are also themselves victims of mordernization of society....

Society needs a rebooth.... I do not support what they attempted and I feel they deserve to be almost raped by one big gay man called kamolu anaconda.. Just so they feel how small it can make you feel when he has his sweaty beard on the side of your neck... Breathing hot air on your back like a cow and screaming "stay one place" in your ear grin grin that expierience will reset the head of any teenager who feels he can rape...
seriously having a mobile phone doesn't mean a person has to turn a criminal. Their mates are taking free online courses on their phones and learning to develop apps for phones and other devices.

We are perhaps the most religious country in the world, but also one of the most immoral and corrupt. We should stop looking to religious bodies to instill morals in citizens. It's not working. Punish crime with the greatest severity and the next person who wants to commit crime would think twice.

I'm just so pissed.

So some were raped the week before and the school management did not deem it fit to beef up security? May God bless that lady for me.

Jeez! I'm so disgusted right now. Imagine the impunity with which young boys planned and executed rape strategies. Did she say some people were recording instead of doing something about it? Nigeria is finished. The world is finished.

All those guys should be rounded up and handed over to the army to handle for a week. Torture them silly. If they survive, throw them in jail for 10 years. If anyone dies, bury him in a shallow grave and life goes on.

Parents have failed the society sad
