Sometimes it helps to see things from another man's point of view. What would you do if you were a HOD of a department with just barely enough staff strength and one of your brightest brains tells you he wants to leave? Of course you'll try your best to hang on to him.

Explosion Occurs In Marina, Lagos

The explosion, which occurred on a ship, left one person severely injured and damaged 5 cars

A gas explosion occurred on a ship while workers were on it in the Marina area of Lagos, on Monday afternoon.

According to a source, the explosion which most likely occurred on a Naval jetty left one person, a worker on the vessel, severely burnt. The worker was rushed to the hospital.

The explosion also threw metal debris which hit about 5 cars in the UBA car park, leaving 3 of them seriously damaged.

Some banks in the area evacuated their staff and boats were also moved away from the scene of the explosion.

As at press time, the fire service had been deployed to the scene.
