I agree with you. Stuff like that happens here now and then. But OP had just 3mins of interview and was let go. Meaning that from first minute, he failed to impress. And there was another person who was with interviewers for about 30mins. Besides, it isn't about who you know all the times. Its about skills, competence and charisma.

Sorry about this op. After 3mins, u were "discarded". That means u didn't impress. You must find out why u failed to impress your interviewers. And take care of that in your next interview. I don't c how running to America will make your life more meaningful.

I served in Government Secondary School Geidam. I thought Physics. There are thousands of students in the North who write WAEC yearly who don't know what "COME or GO" mean. Yes it is that bad. just as you said i cannot also access the site but i think the redirect stuff u encounter earlier was not from their server. most host configure their servers to serve default.html or any other name convention as the index page once ur site is activated. u may have to delete all the html/php files in ur account's www or public html folder before uploading ur drupal files there i.e. if u are going the manual route. when the site is online, just mention me

Yea your right bro! It wasn't from there Server, after several googling, the misconfiguration was in settings.php file and I had 2 disable .htaccess file at some point too. The site is online now and things are working! Thnks bro.

I already pulled down the site. I hosted a site with WhoGoHost and after ftp transfer of drupal files and database, the only thind I could access was the home page, as every other page and link redirect back to the home page. I was angry with those guys because they could not help with diagnose of that problem. I strongly believed the glitch was from their server; probabaly with apache or whatever web server they are using. I am starting again with Suftaculous in their cPanel but right now I think their server is down as I cannot access the site www.barywhyte.com Thanks for your reply bro. u can't resize block from drupal ui.

u have to do that via a css file.

steps
1.track down the machine name of the block.

2.open ur page inspector on ur browser and track down the block div

3.locate the css rule controlling the block and make the necessary changes.

NOTE: u must know how to use browser development tools especially mozilla firefox though all browser ships with them

It's been ages

Bro, you are wasting your time going to their office, except you are ready to put up some strong drama. If you are going to get that data refunded, you must be able to go very crazy with MTN. There are two ways to that. I am telling you this because I was a victim of their manipulation twice last month, and twice I got my money refunded (N3000 in total). You must exercise patience because as usual they will put the blame on you (am assuming you are being truly short-changed). In my own case, this is what I did

1. I didn't bother calling customer care. Those ones don't know anything.
2. I went straight to their twitter handle @mtn180 and lodged my complain there.
3. Expectedly, they told me the fault is on me and that there was no fraudlent deduction from my data.
4. I told them to show me the breakdown of data usage. They refused. Instead they refered me to self care portal to see the breakdown
5. When I saw that no help was coming, I started bombarding them with all sorts of accusations and fraudlent transactions with Nigerians
6. In each of those tweets, I copied NCC, Punch Newspaper, Director of NCC, Tony Ojobo and several other media outlets
7. Infact Tony Ojobo, replied my tweets and asked me to lodge my complaints with NCC on 622. That is free.
8. I did exactly that and the following day, MTN started calling me with 180.
9. In fact I neglected their first two calls knowing fully well that NCC was already at work!
10. I picked the third call, and the apology started: "Hen we are sorry for all the inconvinience you have experienced, that is not our way of treating our customers, we respect all our customers equally bla bla bla...... Please not that your acount will be refunded with N2000 very soon. sorry for the inconienience."


That is how I got my money back for reducing my night plan from 2G to 667MB and wiping out 1.5G day plan without even using it! All withing one week of twitter war

Earlier before this, I subscribed for BB N1000, and for two weeks I could not even open a page. I lodged complaint but as usual, they said the fault is not from them. I bombarded them on twitter, distrupting their tweets and tweeting back at those who lodged complains. two days later, they sent me message that my 1k has been refunded and no other explanation!

Going to their office and playing gentle guy won't help you.

Go mad with them. But you must have your facts and be sure of your information because the truth is you cant deceive them. They have all the facts!

That is for bloggers! Not professional web developers. Any stupid person with little online web experience can handle wordpress and that is why millions run to it. Even CMS like drupal require substantial technical ability and that is why many people don't develop sites with drupal. Mind you, Wordpress is at most good for blogging and nothing more. For complex web development with CMS, go for drupal. I am a drupal developer with little experience in module development.

On the issue of Umar, the Supreme Court never ruled on fair hearing. What the supreme court ruled on was whether the tribunal has jurisdiction on the ground that the A.G was not on seat, who should have ordered his trial, but the supreme court ruled otherwise, wish I support them because the office of the A.G is not tied to a man. This issue of fair hearing was never before the Supreme court. Please be well abreast with the case before you quote me out of context.

And now its Umar's fault that Agabi has thousands of case to handle or my father's fault or your own fault. Lawyers undermining constitution for personal gains. U are campaigning that Umar step down based on flimsy excuses that have no substance. Let me give you instances where he breached section 36 of the constitution just to please ACJA:
His refusal to grant the adjournment when it was sought by kanu Agabi and went ahead with day to day trial is against the right of accused to have time and prepare for his matter.
His refusal to allow Oluyede to move the motion was a sham. He allowed Rotimi to adumbrate but refused the Applicant chance to reply on point of law which is against fair hearing in section 36 (1).
The trite position of the law is that, no matter how useless an application is, a judge is bound to take it. You can allow him to take the motion and adjourn for ruling on the motion while u go ahead with yo trial.

Bro. Let's be patriotic and be fair to this Country! After how many adjournments? So Agabi wasn't fully prepare after 8months in several courts clamoring for this case to be stopped? As for Oluyede, that was shameful script poorly played by Saraki's camp. Again Saraki has sought that the CCT be disqualified from hearing this case and Supreme court threw it away. Now you guys are bouncing on Umar after exhausting all options?

The main thrust of my argument which I am sure the supreme court will interpret very well is section 3(d) of the CCT act which was not complied by the CCB before rushing to the kangaroo tribunal

the sction stipulates;

Section 3(d) of the CCB Act states that: “The functions of the Bureau shall be ….to receive complaints about non-compliance with or breach of this Act and where the Bureau considers it necessary to do so, refer such complaints to the Code of Conduct Tribunal established by Section 20 of this Act in accordance with Section 20 to 25 of this Act.

“Provided that where the person concerned makes a written admission of such breach or non-compliance, no reference to the Tribunal shall be necessary.”

The CCB was supposed to get back to Saraki and reconfirm the declarations stated in his form. This was the same premise upon which Tinubu was freed.Danladi umar obviously acting out a script by his paymasters have already overruled himself on the Tinubu Judgement.But how these portion of the act is interpreted by the supreme court is what will finally decide the case

Do u by any chance connect ur modem to ur computer/laptop? Do u have windows 10 running on ur computer/laptop? If yes then that is probably ur culprit. Window 10 does not have a toggle to turn off automatic update, and knowing windows, there will always be an update , ur computer cannot be up to date for a period of 1 week. So it is likely ur windows 10 downloaded an update for the period u went online.

I subscribe for MTN 2gb for 2k and my data is always intact, they charge me for what I use. I subscribed a few days ago and updated the software on my phone, about 1.3gb and I still had about 500mb left after the update. The walk around for the windows 10 automatic update is to set ur network as metered network under settings. Once u do that windows 10 will not download any update unless u download manually, also ur antivirus will stop updating to save data.

I use to experience this same thing in the past with Spectranet, 25gb would last less than 2 weeks because windows 10 is always downloading update. Ever since I turned my connection to metered network there has been a drastic improvement.

If u are not connected to windows 10 and ur data was unfairly deducted, then u have a case.

Bro I don't use windows. My OS is Lubuntu variant of Linux. So its not about automatic update. Infact I remember on 5th that I used bittorent 2 download heavy file on windows 7 and I intentionally disabled automatic update. After d download my balance was 1.935G night plan and 1.535G day plan. That's all I used only 4me to see everything reduced to 667MB days later when I wanted 2use it again.

They contacted me. Still claiming that I used entire 3G in one day. All am asking is for these guys to provide me with the breakdown of my data usage between 5th and 16th April. If there is any truth in what they are saying, let them show me. This isn't d first time I use this same line 2 subscribe for 4.5G data. I did it severally last year and this nonsense doesn't happen.

All I wanna see is the breakdown of how this data was used. I think am not asking for too much

I rushed down here because I believe help will come my way here. Its MTN again and a guy called OO who handles @MTN 180 twitter handle. I subscribed for 4.5G (N2500) on the 4th of this month (3G night and 1.5G day). That same day I used about 1G from the night plan leaving a total of 3.5G on the line. Now this is not a regular line; I only used it for browsing on a modem. I dnt use it to make calls or send text. Now about 7 days later I wanted to browse with the SIM only to see that 667MB is left on it and the 1.5G extra data has varnished!. I placed a call to 180 and a guy told me that d problm will be resolved within 24hrs. 48hours later nothing happen. No text msgs; no call. Now this mrning, I called 180 again asking a young girl to transfer me to data department. A lady, Tosin Sokefun from Ilorin data center told me there is no deduction from my line. I contacted @MTN 180 asking the handler, OO, to show me my data usage between 4th and 16th April. He replied once and then disappeared, telling me there is no deduction on my line and offering no explanation.

Please nairalanders, help me what can I do to get these ediotic company to refund my data, who again can I contact now? N2500 no b beans na. I'm pained

Senate President Bukola Saraki will stop at nothing to scuttle his ongoing trial at CCT. This man know say he don b for am.

In another desperate attempt to evade justice, Senate President Bukola Saraki convened a meeting last night in his home with "likeminded" Senators during which they agreed to go after two of the major laws that have ensnared him.

As a result, following resumption from the Senate’s long recess today, the Senators went into a private plenary session, and two bills were promptly listed on the Senate Order Paper, seeking amendments to the Nigerian Constitution. 

The bills, which have now already undergone First Reading, are:

The Code of Conduct Act CAP C15 LFN 2004 (Amendment) Bill, 2016 (SB 248), nominally sponsored by Peoples Democratic Party Senator Peter Nwaboshi (Delta North); and

The Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 (Amendment) Bill 2016 (SB 249), sponsored by Senator Isah Misau representing Bauchi Central.

The invitation to last night’s meeting in Saraki’s home was sent by former “anti-corruption” crusader Dino Melaye, using the mobile telephone number of Peter Makanjuola (0803 390 3330). 

Makanjuola is Saraki's Deputy Chief of Staff.  The strategy seemed to have been to send the invitation using that phone to avoid detection.

One Senator, who attended the meeting, said that when concern was expressed that President Muhammad Buhari would veto the bill, Saraki told them he had enough support in the Senate and the House of Representatives to override such a veto.

During the meeting at Saraki’s home, he took the opportunity to announce to members of his core support group that he has ordered the purchase of Toyota Landcruiser V8 engine Sport Utility vehicles to be given to each Senator.   The Senate President is hoping that greed will override commonsense and that with each Senator getting a car, his support base would be solidified.

Our Senate source noted that 36 cars have already been purchased, each one costing N35 million each.
