I don't know what you trying to say here (but I think I suspect where you are going with you allusions). I follow dodge bullet in the 90's for Warri during the tribal wars. I'm not an expert on these matters and the ownership of Warri is in dispute but methinks it's owned by Ijaw (Ogbe-Ijoh etc), Urhobo (Okere-Urhobo, Agbasa etc) and Itsekiri (Okere,etc). The areas known as Warri town itself doesn't have any oilfields, most of the oil being in the creeks.

However, I know for a fact that there is a lot of oil in Urhobo, Isoko and Kwale land in Delta state. When you combine this with the oil in Ijaw land (Focados, Ogulaha etc are all Ijaw) both onshore and offshore, then I don’t know how you can claim that most of the oil in Delta state is in Itsekiri land?!

I'm proud of the responses I'm seeing here. We can't be gullible in Nigeria forever.

BlackPikiN: The Action Congress of Nigeria on Tuesday urged the National Assembly to commence impeachment proceedings against President Goodluck Jonathan over a church gift to his community, Otuoke in Bayelsa State by an Italian construction firm.

The party said in a statement by its spokesman, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, that the President had violated the 1999 Constitution by openly admitting soliciting a bribe from a foreign construction company.

The party said the National Assembly would have the opportunity to investigate the matter and also reach the appropriate conclusions, since the President, by his own admission and without any prompting, had violated the constitution.

To know the gravity of the President’s self admission of soliciting the church ‘gift’ from the Managing Director of Gitto Construzioni Generali Nigeria Limited (GCG), one needs to understand Section 6 ofthe Code of Conduct for Public officers embodied in the First Schedule of the 1999 Constitution and the Code of Conduct and Tribunal Act (CAP C15) Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

“The Act states: ‘A public officer shall not ask for or accept any property or benefits of any kind for himself or any other person on account of anything done or omitted to be done by him in the discharge of his duties. For the purposes of subsection (1) of this subsection, the receipt by a public officer of any gifts or benefits from commercial firms, business enterprises or persons who have contracts with the Government shall be presumed to have been received in contravention…unless the contrary is proved’,” it said.

Jankara market is self- effacing and deceptively ordinary. Located close to Idumagbo area of Lagos Island, the market is just a stretch of an old street.

Ears on the ground
Like other streets and markets, canvassers and touts hang around the place pitching for customers and mugus (gullible people). Though low in reputation,touts are an essential segment of this time – honoured market. Over the years, the place has come to be known as a place where any thing goes. And so, the touts come handy here.
They have their ears on the ground, and therefore know all the goings-on.

Book and wait
A week ago, our reporter posed as a juju priest who was in dire need of human body parts for urgent rituals. After about four hours of waiting and being passed from one “contact” to another, and played around like ping-pong, the reporter got a dealer who “booked” him. The rule here is, if you want a fresh human body part, you book and wait. If your order is for dry parts you get instant delivery.
But you must be an expert in human anatomy to decipher the parts you want from man’s closest animal relations – gorilla, chimpanzee and monkey.
