Voldoz: Oya tell us the reality on ground.
This is a simple issue.
The US is not under attack so no need for them to launch strikes against Russia. They are not afraid of Russia in any way. They value their infrastructure and economy more, so as other nations Its like you did not read my post. I Mentioned that USA has no business in the conflict going on in Eastern Europe. No one cares if they're afraid of Russia or not. |

JohnBullMySon: Can you list the allies that are backing out?
Japan and Germany were sworn US enemies after world war. How are things today? Even India that was very close to Russia has started aligning to the US in recent times, cancelling military relationships and purchases. Israel used to be a big time Russian ally, today they're backing out. Even Nigeria too.
Not many countries share your opinion sadly. Learn to read in between the lines. Is the fight against USA. Please explain how local matter take consign USA. THE MEDIA IS JUST LEADING YOU ON. the reality on ground is far different from what you hear on media. Why else is Biden chasing shadows for matter wey no consign am |

joey150: You cannot solve mass transportation in an already congested and overpopulated city like Lagos by sharing "uber taxis."
What do these silly politicians see when they travel abroad?
Don't they see an urban bus and ticketing system?
Don't they see dependable overhead and underground train systems?
Don't they see ferries and inland waterways transportation?
Are you going to convey all of Lagos in those cars? Adding even more traffic to an already congested city? If anything, a forward thinking government would be thinking of ways to get more cars off the roads of Lagos than more cars on it.
Apart from the fact that the money for most of those cars will never be recouped, this ride taxi scheme is a white elephant project that was established to enrich a few government officials by way of bogus contracts and free cars. You don't need all this long gist. You can help depopulate Lagos by going back to your respective states or leave the country |

Worse still are Tinubu supporters like yourself.. you guys are so tribalistic you don't help his case . When Sanwolu was begging an ordinary CSP to stop their action in Lagos, did you say this? So Lagos does not have a governor, or Oyo or Ekiti or Osun or Ondo where Fulanis kill everyday Mumu. In other words you are ok if Northerners massacre igbos in the north and blame it on Mercenaries..... Hmmm If you don't understand governance system dont just open your mouth and talk for the sake of talking. Keep your emotions aside and blame the right person. What is the Abia state govenor using his security votes to do? Abia State collects N700M Monthly and N8.4B Annually. Have you blamed him yet for not securing the state? However you would rather blame Buhari that has already disbursed the funds to the governors. You can see your mumrism. Dailymice: First of all, let me say your moniker "lesbianboy" is irresponsible and childish.
Secondly, you cannot make the same mistakes our parents made in the 70s and 80s where they thought Nigeria would get better and hence didn't travel out on time to a better life abroad. My dad is regretting why he didn't listen to the advise of his friend back then who told him to move to the US when he had the chance. Now, getting US visa be like going to heaven
Of course, most people I know in the US are buying up houses here and doing well. Let no one deceive you, life abroad is not easy, but they have job security and a better life than most Nigerians claim they have. Remember $2000 is 1m.
I kid you not, check out most of our politicians and business men who are doing well in the country today, most of them have foreign background as their parents travelled out back in the days and secured a path for their kids to follow
I advise that if you have money, seek the Canadian route and secure a PR for yourself and family so that if buhari decides to burn the country, you can have a second option. Your kids should have dual or triple citizenship.. our politicians all have more than one citizenship, a word is enough for the wise.
If you're young and have money, better start searching for abroad routes.....
My 2 cents.
Meanwhile check out this view from Iowa. US Slave mentality. |
Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed Berates Canadian Government, Twitter Over Handling Of Protests by Basher8583: 7:40pm On Feb 13, 2022 |
Eriokanmi: Don't shift the goal post. Lai never cited any example of french police brutalising people and my post was drawn based on his gibberish submission which he put together, trying to score a cheap point. FYI, I've been to France severally and haven't heard any case of police harassment. I've never been harassed on the streets of Paris myself by any police.
It's laughable the way you guys think at times. I only pray that some of you thinking this way make a headway so you'd know the difference between riches and poverty. I wish dangote , otedola etc grew up during police brutality era. Dangote first squatted with his uncle maitama at my aunt's house at ijesha in lagos as a young boy who just came from Kano back in the days for business opportunities in lagos. My aunt always tells this story each time we visit her. She's a very old lady now. Dangote at that time was a comfortable young man who was driving classy cars but very humble. He was never harassed .
My humble self had always been lucky with jobs in my life, when I say jobs, I mean lucrative jobs. There was a time I bought an SUV and drove around awolowo way in Ikeja, this officer stopped me, started harassing me. He said I was too young to own that vehicle. After a while, I pulled over and threatened that I'd call my lawyer when he refused to let me go despite providing more than enough proofs of ownership. Eventually, his colleagues waded in and allowed me go.
My cousin who was still an undergraduate in Ibadan back in the days used to work for Google as a consultant, part time He was in charge of campus GIS mapping across the country. This guy was paid handsomely. He was very intelligent and on shell scholarship, a young boy who had nothing much to do with money, bought a lexus car, though fairly used but very clean. He was always driving to school each time. He had no girlfriend sef. Police had harassed him on a couple of occasions. They've put him in detention for no just cause. They tagged him all manners of name. He had to sell that car for a jalopy before began to enjoy peace.
His friend who was a petroleum engineer got hired by a leading oil and gas engineering firm at VI. They were actually 3 in number. The 3rd one later travelled for his msc. This guy loved cars. They were well brought up so, you'd never see them clubbing. Police had collected money from this guy by way of extortion severally, threatening to even take his life despite presenting an oil and gas ID. These are the experiences of those close to me. There are many of them out there like them, who had been harassed that way. There's no problem when a police does his or her job the way it should, to rid our society of crime but they often leave their job for extortion, seeing these guys ride good cars. I remember the story of an American returnee who was asked to transfer money into their account by police or they'd kill him. He wired 120k instantly and nothing happened after reporting the case to the CID at panti in yaba as he was advised to...you see? The endsars protesters were mainly professionals. They gathered at lekki peacefully and they were attacked. This is the height of wickedness Why all these stories to over shalaye. No be the same Naija we dey? Police dey also stop me for road well well oh. And we always part with greetings. So whats perculiar about yours? Police will treat you with respect if you also treat them with respect. If however you decide to treat them otherwise they will fvck you up. It is what it is anywhere in the world |
Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed Berates Canadian Government, Twitter Over Handling Of Protests by Basher8583: 1:20pm On Feb 13, 2022 |
Reference: And who is saying what the Canadian government is doing is right. This shows that we are still steeped in sentiment and emotion and so have been looking everywhere to justify our actions.
The present Canadian government is not popular for this and its popularity has been on the wane for sometime, hardly the example of what is right. Why did he not use the examples of other nations in Europe for instance where most countries there have had such protests in recent months and tap from the wisdom is the ways they diffused such situations, without over reaching violence, carnage and bloodshed.
We must learn to separate issues from personalities and events from names in this country and view things objectively. We should stop being drawn to wrong things to justify our wrongs. We can never make progress that way. What the Nigerian government did was wrong. What the Canadian government is doing is wrong as well, period. Its ok to keep quite and just read through if your emotions is not allowing you to see the point Lai Mohammed is making. Typing this junk presents you as one with poor comprehension skiils |

Eriokanmi: Where was your head before sir?
But so far, I've not heard that military was deployed to the protesting truckers to kill them. All we saw were the police maintaining peace, unlike here where police were seen killing peaceful protesters before huloodlums hijacked it and started burning stations and killing police in reprisals.
Again, were police not brutal on the Nigerian youths, most of whom are doing legitimate businesses? The answer is yes. You can't compare those protesting over covid-19 with those protesting over the killing of their innocent loved ones by the corrupt police here.
Again, same twitter had banned some users who had spoken or twitted disrespectfully about buhari and his government before, check it. Buhari who's an individual account holder isn't above the law of twitter. You can't compare the 2 scenarios please Lai.
The insurrection in DC was a pure act of terror. Nobody had invaded the national assembly here before in that manner. Such an act wouldn't have be taken lightly by Nigerians as well. Which legitimate business is a Nigerian youth doing? Please name one. Crypto currency? Nonsense. You and I know wats up. Its these kind of lies that make you guys look unserious. Go online and see how the french police are brutalising protesters. |

Nobody can track you especially if you are black man. If you are white, just give police #2,500 , they will protect you with all the ammunition.
For those seeking for citizenship, let them be informed that i have not had light since on Sunday. I pay for electricity bill, NEPA will fail to read the meter and will bring estimated bill. Despite of the estimated billing , give me light , they refused. We buy electric poles , wires, transformers, pay for meters , pay for electricity bill, and when the light gets bad, we hire NEPA and pay them specially for the repair and yet we can't have light.
