FamilyRe: Was I Wrong? by Bawss1(m): 10:59am On Jul 13, 2013
^ The Almighty is prefect, no? Will He that is perfect initiate a marriage that fails? Yet there and thousands of failed marriages about.

I will urge you to learn to express yourself correctly. Perhaps you mean to say that marriages that are successful are so because the couple followed godly principles. There is a grave danger in passing across wrong and untruthful concepts and the consequencies will hit hard regardless of whether your intention are good or not.
FamilyRe: Was I Wrong? by Bawss1(m): 10:17am On Jul 13, 2013
zhukafa: Point of correction, Am not saying what the man did was right, no no no, just that the woman should plead to God to redirect her husbands mindset, because God is the initiator of marriages.

Thanks
Can people stop using the name of the Almighty to spread untruths!

How is the Creator the initiator of marriages again? People get married based on the choices that they have made! Whether the marriage fails or succeeds has nothing do with the Almighty but everything to do with the married couple.

You had better express yourself correctly if the above is what you mean. And if its not what you mean then you are dead wrong. A time will come when careless expressions will avenge themselves thoroughly, especially when the Creator is involved.

Err, thanks.

bc4love: It's even too much to consider for a start to raise a family. Start it first, be faithful with it and see if God will not double it for you. It worked for me with even 40k in 2010, but now the rest is history.
Don't mislead the lad will you. You will be very far away in Nairaland when the financial demands of family life will kick in for him.

Of course the OP can proceed with his 65K if he has set low standards for him and his family.

Wait no longer. I'm here to put your mind at ease: Tecno phones are of poor quality and mediocre specs. cheesy They could also be radioactive and a possible cause of cancer smiley they are an insult to Africans who deserve better.

I urge the International Trade Organization to look into this perceived insult of African consumers by Tecno.

CelebritiesRe: Why I Changed My Name From ‘nigga Raw’ To ‘mr Raw’ – Ukeje Edwar by Bawss1(m): 6:17pm On Jul 12, 2013
dplomaticVal: Oh! I now see why all my effort to dwnload his tracks online have alwys proved Futile. Honestly, this's blitheringly unfair and i dnt see any reason why these nefarious able-bodied men on top, mostly europeans, wil deny a luminous rap enigma like Raw his dues cause of a harmless moniker. Yet they won't sanction Lil Tunechi n his cohorts for encryptin lethal tattoos on their skin. wht im sayn in essence is tht a prsn shd be judged by his behavior and appearance nt by a common name. Fools.
See this negro. So in your universe the N word is a harmless moniker? You obviously are not aware of the effect that words have.

I say Mr Raw was foolish for choosing that name in the first place, that was a bad choice that stemmed from ignorance. Thankfully he has corrected.

Blowing up the boat with a torpedo would be an unlikely recourse, the boat was coming in too fast and in the direction of the sub.

I think detection by radar might be hard since the boat was made from rubber. Not sure, just guessing. Besides the ocean was at that point filled with many other vessels.

What the could have been done was to ensure that the sub was not boarded at all.

FamilyRe: How Do I Cope As A Family Man After Losing A Job. Advice/help Needed by Bawss1(m): 3:59pm On Jul 12, 2013
jusRadical: I have been there.

First of all, I would like you to understand that there is nothing you can do that can give you a good job. It is all by GOD's grace. Hardwork is encouraged but it is still GOD that crowns effects with success.

Many people have done diverse things to make ends meet but to no avail. Many intelligent and deligent folks are without jobs. So don't cause more harm to yourself. Thinking can never solve your problem. The main thing is as you make every effort humanly possible, the hallmark must be faith in GOD through CHRIST. Ask HIM for a break through. Continue to steadfastly submit your cv and do the much you can.

Remember that it is by HIS grace: the race is neither to the swift nor the battle to the strong. Ask GOD for HIS grace, mercy and favour. Do your part and allow GOD to do HIS part.
Preacher man, pray tell, what does doing your part in practical terms entail for the OP?

sexymoma: Is just as if telling us ''My Hubby is fornicating, should i also fornicate?'' how does that sound? huh
I didn't even take ma time to read your topic, The Sub-topic is enough for me.
Warped logic. How does locking one's phone directly imply wrong doing? Let all who want to lock their phones do so without fear. Even though I suspect that the husband in this story is a dunderhead based on his reply it doesn't take away the fact that everyone is entitled to privacy, whether married or not.

Matter of fact I think all men should lock their phones, don't be like the fabled Bluebeard who gave out all his secrets in the name of love.

FamilyRe: Relocating To Abuja by Bawss1(m): 10:24pm On Jul 10, 2013
All the cool kids are moving to Abuja

Once you have your accommodation sorted then Abuja is a rather nice place to live in. The roads are much better than what you find in other Nigerian cities, the pace of life somewhat relaxed and security/crime rate is on the low side. . .
By having your accommodation sorted, I mean by not living in the outskirts or satellite towns in Suleja or Nassarawa. Those areas offer cheap housing and nothing else. People who live in such areas face gangster traffic, over crowding and basically a rugged life. You will want to live close to the city center or in any of the numerous estates around. These areas have easy access to lovely shopping locations, plazas, schools, banks and other staples needed for modern life, just prepare for the high rent and service charges then you are good.

This thread is fast becoming a jester's affair.

Maybe open source isn't really the way to go in the end, it creates room for all types of people to contribute to the fray and that isn't always a good thing.

A master class has to evolve from all this, one that is above the pedestrian concerns of droid newbies yet able to offer a helping hand to genuine cases.
FamilyRe: Is This A Blatant Housewife Oversight Or Am I Reading Meanings Into Nothing Here by Bawss1(m): 8:19pm On Jul 07, 2013
vivianc: I quite agree with you, you are absoluTely right. But I didn't see This guy's offence. If you had read it without the "some in-laws will push you" on your mind, maybe, just maybe you would understand.

This guy has been friends with his uncle even before the woman came into the picture. While she was coming she noTiced The closeness, and we assume that day wasn't the first day she has offered him food. She knew before now he doesn't eat fish, so why give it To him? If she has been giving him meat, why sTop?

Come to think of iT, whaT is even food? Courtesy demands that when someone visits you, you offer him something, irrespective of who.

For e.g, I'm quiTe picky with food, I don't eat onion or anyThing prepared wiTh iT. I have 8 sisters in law and They are all aware I don't eat onion. They are always like "adanne, we are cooking onion food today o, so you can eaT whaTever." Since They know I don't eat onion, iT will be surreal for Them To give me onion food and I'd definitely raise an eyebrow. That would send a message across To me.

I believe in whaT u sow is what you reap, period. I'm very loyal to my sisters in law, not thaT obligaTed to it or I gain more from Them. BuT I jusT wanT to reap whaT I sow.

I'm a lady, and Tomorrow I will be married into another family, while I'd claim "my Territory" there I can't forget I also have boys aT home who would bring women inTo my own family. And I wouldn't want any woman to mistreaT them all in The name of claiming "TerriTory."

And I say deaTh To the biatch ThaT would come in and tear my family apart, after all we have been Through, they no born am well, at all.

Seriously, to say I'm surprised aT some responses here is an understatemenT, all because of what? Food? Food kwa? Na wa o

Debrief, some in-laws you can't please, that doesn't change the fact That some wives are evil, and as soon as they come into the family They chase the man's people away, but her own people would stay.

That is evil.
Word!!

Well except for the "death to the b#%^*" part. grin

^ 90s R&B/Hip hop is the best ever! cool Thankfully there are several Internet radio stations to cater to music from that era. Check them out and build your playlists, that's how I get my fix. smiley
FamilyRe: Who's The Head Of The House?? by Bawss1(m): 7:06pm On Jul 06, 2013
The man is the head of the house. This is because nature designed him so. The man is by default better suited to fend for the family, he is physically stronger and more rationally inclined to deal with the vagaries of the material world. At least this is how he ought to be unless he allows his essence to be corrupted.

The woman on the other hand is the counter point of the man, she is better adapted to provide support, care and guidance. She is built in a gentler form and is more inclined to deal with the spiritual influences of life matters. Again that is how she should be unless she allows her essense to be corrupted.

The genders have specific roles to play in family life; on the material side, the man leads; on the spiritual side the woman leads. Together they provide the balancing effect which is necessary for progress as one cannot thrive without the other.

It is this realisation that many religions and cultures have tried to express according to their own understanding.
