FamilyRe: What Number Of BBM Contacts Is Considered Normal? by Bawss1(m):
Studies have shown that there is actually a limit to the number of people an individual can maintain a stable social relationship with. That limit is usually around the 150 mark even though experts say it ranges from 100 to 230. It is referred to as Durban's Number. Above this range more restrictive rules have to be put in place for the group relationship to be stable.
In social media one sees individuals with friends that number in the thousands and one's suspicion is that there is no way in hell for all those friendships to be genuine or solidly built. Many are just acquaintances or random people with no real claim to friendship.
This is also the case for BBM.

PoliticsRe: Remodelled Sam Mbakwe Airport , Owerri by Bawss1(m): 8:19am On Jan 24, 2013
geeez: The Minister of Aviation looks very cosmetic and that's exactly her approach to aviation business in Nigeria. Remodeling airports which I think should be concessioned and not addressing the real issues like safety and security of passengers. Even the runways are in pitiable states. She prefers some cosmetic surgery as treatment for a skin disease rather than address the underlying cause. It's a shame
What is needed is for the remodelling of the airports to be carried out properly. Shallow and vitriolic comments like yours are uncalled for. Suggest a better way forward, if you must, without insults.
Foreign AffairsRe: Mali Intervention Force - Ghana Army Chickens Out by Bawss1(m): 4:19pm On Jan 23, 2013
So in order to show that Nigeria is great we must lambaste our Ghanaian neighbors? The amount of jingoism one sees about these days is disgusting. Let readers know that not all Nigerians are this shallow. BAWSS1 and many other sensible citizens are proud Nigerians and do not endorse this deplorable behavior.

We love you Ghana. kiss Haters can jump off 3MB for all we care.
Foreign AffairsRe: Imperialist Powers Escalate War In Mali by Bawss1(m): 7:17am On Jan 23, 2013
Down with the imperialists! They are only interested in keeping Africa in bondage, let's chase them out of Mali and give Islamic fanatics a free hand. We all know that religious fanaticism that involves destruction of indigenous heritage sites, savage implementation of sharia law and the complete stifling of basic human rights is way preferable. Down with the imperialists I say.

Nonsense

Foreign AffairsRe: Pictures From Barack Obama 2013 Presidential Inauguration by Bawss1(m):
omenka: Perhaps lunacy has a diferent meaning in the dictionary u read. And who told you the proposals seek to ban assault riffles only? Have u taken a single second to go thruogh the proposed legislation befor coming on here to spew trash? Pple like you are the reason why progress is difficlt in this world, feeding exclusively off the garbage churned out by the perveted media. Do you have any idea what terms of reference are contained in the proposed 'background checks' for potential rifle owners? Pple like you can't even see the truth even when it licks your face. Believe what you wanna believe, you are entitled to that much as a right, but don't come on here displayin such ignorance and imbecility while thinking that you are making a good point. Next tym do a little research before comenting on discussions which are aparently way beyond the scope of your comprehension.
It is certainly deep in this one

What the new gun laws seek to achieve is to bring to a stop the senseless killings and gun violence that the America has witnessed in recent times. . . Apparently you are in favor of gun ownership, that’s your choice but how you advance (or aptly put, regress) to branding Obama as a tyrannical ruler because of the new gun control measures he wants to introduce is just plain senseless. Nowhere have you validated the nonsensical claims you put forth and all this talk about not knowing what the “background checks” entails is complete FUD. There is no reasoning with folks like you
Christianity EtcRe: 79-year-old Lady Sues Redeemed Church For Noise Pollution by Bawss1(m): 1:46pm On Jan 22, 2013
The admonition by the Lord Christ for prayer to be done quietly has no place in today's Christianity. Its all about making a joyful noise and shouting down the devil with the microphone at the max.

Foreign AffairsRe: Pictures From Barack Obama 2013 Presidential Inauguration by Bawss1(m): 11:41am On Jan 22, 2013
omenka: Obama would turn out to be the most tyranical leader that ever walked the surface of the earth. I just hope America survives his current onslought on the Second Amendment becasuse the patsies deployed in the Aurora and Sandy Hook masacre realy did great jobs and the American public seems to be fallin for the government's hoax. If the new gun legislations see the light of day and the population is finally disarmed, the Globalists, with their loyal servant Obama, would have a smooth sailing executing their sinister agenda. May God help us.
Straight up nonsense!!

It is amazing how delusional stories are easily formed these days. Is there no limit to this lunacy? Must every happening be some sort of conspiracy? One does not have the strength to confront the condensed stupidity ingrained in this post but I will suggest that from now on everyone should strive to make use of a bit of common sense. . .just a little bit. . . before making any public utterance.

TV/MoviesRe: Skyfall Becomes First James Bond Movie To Rake In Over $1bn by Bawss1(m): 4:32pm On Jan 11, 2013
I nearly fell asleep watching Skyfall. I don't know what all the rave reviews and noise were about because it was, IMO, one of the worst Bond movies I ever saw. They made over a billion dollars at the box office? Good for them now, they can pay me back the money I wasted buying a ticket. angry
BusinessRe: 13 Money Lies You Should Stop Telling Yourself By Age 30 by Bawss1(m): 6:52pm On Jan 10, 2013
oluwaisaac: See, bros, it is the same stgatistics above that makes some of our lecturer's live in poverty. Don't base your entire life on statistics and figures...live for today trusting God for favours everyday...that's what His Word says...Ha!
Trusting the Almighty for favor abi. This is how a vast majority Nigerians choose to live their lives conveniently ignoring the fact that success comes as a result of doing certain things right...and the article highlights just a few.

Who do I blame for this deplorable pattern of thinking that the average Nigerian youth has adopted for himself? The media? Or those preachers that indirectly support sloth in the name of trusting in a favor giving Almighty? Perhaps the blame should really lie on the individuals who want things made so easy for them that they retire their brains and common sense in the name of belief.

ritchboy: I've been AWOL, but I'm back now(i think) tongue

Kails as a co-mod is a good idea, as long as there's a clause in the contract stating we meet up at my mansion every weekend to "discuss the best ways to move the section forward", preferably naked grin
Welcome back boss man and happy new year. Where have you been? Was wondering if you had gone the way of Kosovo.
Kails as co-mod is a good idea as she has shown much promise and she'll make sure we are not left unchaperoned when you have an AWOL moment. smiley
