Gaming › Re: Playstation Vita by Bawss1(m): 9:03am On Feb 20, 2012
With the price of the Vita as it is now, Sony had better be making a profit on every unit pushed at launch. But that hefty price - for a handheld! - is what is going to keep the likes of me from getting one anytime soon. Like ritchboy the first and only handheld I ever had was from the last century Game Boy not the GBA, you know, green screen and all. lol. I lent it to a friend and that was the last I saw of it. Its not like I was never interested in the PSP but Sony's flagship console kept stealing my attention. . . My phone is my handheld now.
What's happening to the Playstation Phone anyways?

Wait, does Siri have to use the Internet for every action it perfomes, even tasks that are local to my phone, say like opening Facebook? That's something I haven't quite understood.
Politics › Re: Fashola Hands Over Another One Million Gpd Waterworks In Iponri. Pics: by Bawss1(m): 5:29pm On Feb 18, 2012
Again Fashola scores another point. This is not a village borehole project as detractors of Fashola will have others believe.

I am curious as to how the government will address the "problem" of proliferation of boreholes. Will this mean that landlords will be fined/charged for sinking boreholes in their compounds or that they will be made to close up their boreholes and rely on the state water board for water? I know that in Abuja residents in areas covered by the water board are made to pay a certain charge whether or not they have sunk their own boreholes.

@Sheyun
Since your phone is not the iPhone 4S and you want to install Siri then you have to jailbreak it. When that is done follow the steps in post #32 on this thread. A wifi connection is needed. Thank Otumfour later.

This calls for deep introspection if we as a people will honor what every thinking individual will call carelessness. Is it the desire to come across as patriotic that informs this thread or that we refuse to learn from our mistakes?

The police officer has passed on in a manner that can be best described as needless and reckless. If any honor is to be attached to this incident it is that we learn not to repeat such folly. All other talks are either hypocritical or aimed at stirring weak sentiments which serve no noble purpose.
Politics › Re: Governor Has Shown His Determination To Give Abia An Entirely New Face. by Bawss1(m): 3:08pm On Feb 16, 2012
Every now and then non performing governors try to white wash their images with internet propaganda. This is another obvious attempt which will have no effect other than reaffirming the dubious perception that people have of T.A Orji. Despite all the propaganda no lasting progress has ever been reported. And at the rate he is going Abia will be first when the list of terrible states to live or do business in is compiled.   angry

N100K for what? Is the school itself equipped enough to a high standard that you have N100K to dish out to students?

He suspended their pay because of sharp practices of interest? Why not sack them, arrest them and get them prosecuted?
Good point. That would have passed across the message better but  I guess it doesn't sit well with his Santa Claus style of governance.

My ID which is similar to my NL handle must be rusting away somewhere in the PSN servers as I can't connect from home. sad
I have been playing Battlefield 3 too but my copy of the game must be the most bug ridden copy that EA has pushed, the thing freezes weirdly so my progress in the game has been stalled. Haven’t finished the campaign. Progress, however in MW3 Survival mode, has been ever so marginal; I’ve made it to wave 27. Survival is hard as hell but I delight in increasing the points earned from headblasts and kill streaks. My first order of business when Air Support becomes available is to purchase Sleight of Hands then I slug it from there. I’m running out of strategies. Maybe online is the way forward as I can't seem to do it on my own anymore. embarassed

jamace:
Blame the country not the policeman. Our leaders are shameless that is why most of them die in hospitals abroad.
The policeman and his actions will be shown to bomb denotation squads all over the world as what not to do when approaching a bomb. While we all agree that our police force is seriously wanting in terms of training and equipment, a little bit of common sense would have told the "heroic" cop to not approach without some form of protective gear. It was the man's stupidity that killed him in the first place.

This man, working with little equipments and no protective gear of any kind, gave his life to keep the Motherland safe. The entire country should be grateful to this man who selflessly gave his own life so that others might not suffer harm.

This man deserves the highest honor the country can bestow. In a civilized society, this man's identity should have been revealed by now, and his picture (the good one showing him alive and well) splashed all over the place to celebrate his heroism, and as examples on how to serve the Motherland selflessly.

I hope that the Government will take care of his dependents without delay with very sizable award. This man is not a mangled piece of flesh. LYING IN THAT HEAP IS MY HERO, A WORTHY NIGERIAN, A TRUE SON OF AFRICA!

Are you serious?

The police officer approached what was a suspected bomb with the highest form of carelessness and nonchalance costing him his life and now you want him to be honored? There was absolutely nothing heroic about his feat indeed it was steeped in stupidity. Thankfully his death was instantaneous and he probably didn't know what killed him. It only calls to question the kind of training the members of the police bomb squad are given. In all it is a big disgrace to the Nigeria Police Force, nothing deserving of eulogies.

Thanks a lot Otumfour, followed your clear instructions and have installed siri. Alas when I did try to use it I got a male voice saying "I'm really sorry about this but I can't take any requests right now. Please try again in a little while".

I was really hoping for a sexy female voice. sad

Anyways I noticed that at step 13 of the instructions there is a message about the guzzoni certificate that says the certificate will expire on the 23 Dec. 2012. Does this in any way affect Siri's operation?

Would have put up screen shots but haven't figured that out yet as I'm still an iOS newbie.
